Highlights:
Shanggantang Village is located in Xiachengpu Town, 25 kilometers southwest of Jiangyong County, 2 kilometers away from Provincial Highway S325, 80 kilometers south of the tourist resort Yangsu, and 125 kilometers away from Guilin. According to the records of Yongming County, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty set up Xiemu County in Shanggantang in the 6th year of Yuanding (111 BC), which belongs to Cangwu County. Mu County was merged with Yingpu County to form Yongyang County, and the county seat was moved from Shanggantang. The whole village is surrounded by mountains and rivers, facing west to the east and Pingfeng Mountains to the east. The clear Xiemu River surrounds the front of the village, forming an excellent feng shui closure. Most of the houses in Shanggantang village are built in the late Qing Dynasty, with tall wind and fire walls, strict depth layout, elegant central axis symmetry, large area of Qingshui wall, crowned with undulating white belts, decorated with doors and windows, and leaking windows. The protruding horse head wall around the upper house has the typical architectural features of southern Hunan.

This castle-style Yaozhai surrounded by mountains is located in Lanxi Yao Nationality Township, Jiangyong County, 37 kilometers away from Jiangyong County. The traditional festival in the cottage is listed as the provincial intangible cultural heritage. Yaozhai still retains more than 300 dwellings from Ming and Qing dynasties, with social altars, dance pavilions, pavilions and bridges everywhere. There are also large-scale historic sites such as Panwang Temple, Xianggong Temple, Tiger Temple and Guangong Temple. The alleys of bluestone slabs are all over the cottage, the horse head walls protruding around the houses, the eaves are decorated with painted or brick carvings, and small bluestone lattice windows are dotted, thus forming a unique street scene. The unique mud washing dinner allows foodies to taste Yaojia cuisine while singing and dancing.
