The KTX is by far the fastest and most comfortable way to reach Seoul from Gwangmyeong. In just 15-18 minutes, the KTX zips you from Gwangmyeong Station to Seoul Station, one of the city’s main transit hubs, from where you can easily transfer to other subway lines or trains.

Seoul Subway (Line 1)
The subway runs frequently, but the journey takes longer due to multiple stops along the route. It can get crowded during rush hours, so plan accordingly.
Gwangmyeong is on Subway Line 1 and also connects with Line 7 at Cheolsan Station. Other nearby stations include Doksan on Line 1. Travel time from Seoul Station to Cheolsan is around 30 minutes. Ideal if you are traveling to west or south Seoul

Bus

The bus ride from Gwangmyeong to Seoul usually takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare is around ₩2,500 ($1.90 USD), making it affordable, especially for budget travelers.

Taxi
If you’re looking for convenience and comfort without worrying about train schedules, taking a taxi is an easy way to get to Seoul. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs around ₩25,000-₩35,000 ($19-27 USD).
