Amazing service from the staff. We were welcomed with cold fresh drinks and hot towels walking into the hotel lobby. Bags were taken to the room and we were able to tour the hotel prior to checking in. Once checked in Woel Farook made sure our stay was pleasant. He gave us a great view of the Nile. Also Mahmoud at the pool and bar took care of us every day there. The kids loved him as he entertained the 2 year old and 10 month old. The pool service is excellent. Can’t wait to go back. I definitely recommend staying at Movenpick.

Magical property in magical land. Extremely professional and accommodating staff and service. The ground floor spa equally impressive where I enjoyed full body massage on consecutive days. One small issue with thermostat was dealt with promptly and to full satisfaction. I don’t believe you can improve upon The Old Cataract in any stay in Aswan..

This time I stayed at the local Torrepe Hotel in Aswan. Torlip is also a local hotel chain in Egypt, with branches not only in Aswan, but also in Cairo and Alexandria. In terms of introduction, this hotel is already a relatively new five-star hotel in Egypt. In terms of hardware facilities, it is indeed worthy of the name of a five-star hotel including swimming pools, gyms, and restaurants. The average stay price is about 700 yuan. Although in the room hardware, this is far from the domestic five-star, in a black hole-like city like Aswan, it is good to have such a hotel choice. So the city also has two Accor stores that can be regarded as the level of international chain five-star, and the others are also domestic chains. Because the Nile River between Aswan and Luxor is too famous, and most of the itinerary is four days and three nights or three days and two nights, many guests who come to Aswan choose to live directly on the cruise ship. The next morning, I went out to the Abu Simbe regiment and went out to play. After returning in the afternoon, the cruise ship set sail directly. I really loved this hotel. The view from my room (5th floor) over Aswan, the cataract, Elephantine Island, Aga Khan monument, was breathtaking. As the hotel is on a hill, I cannot imagine any other hotel offering views like that. The rooms are very clean, though a bit dated, and large, with a balcony. Very generous outdoor grounds, nice swimming pool and a perfect breakfast buffet. Nice little shopping center with very good prices for souvenirs. All in all - a hotel I would like to return to.

This hotel is located in downtown Aswan close to everything. We were in one of their suite rooms that had 2 rooms inside with a bathroom with a huge jacuzzi. The staff was friendly. Check in was easy and the breakfast was excellent. We had the amazing view of the nile river and the city. Will surely stay here again when we come to Aswan

Incredible experience thanks to the hotel manager who is always concerned about every detail and cares for you to pass it fenomenal! The hotel is a very good place to get a few tours, one to Abu Simbel and the other to know the main places, even a very reasonable price.

The hotel is situated in a good location which is closed to the mall and railway station. Staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeper. She left a Thank You note when I put some tips on the table for her. The room is very basic with no free water, kettle and coffee bag/tea bags provided. TV channels are limited but have English movies to watch. The bathroom needs some upgrading and the shower area is very small and difficult to bath. Hot water supply is good. The carpet is very dusty as well as the table and chair outside the balcony. The hotel needs to work on all the doors as I have to use strength to open and close which create a lot of noises. During my stay, my neighbours came back very late and were banging the doors in the middle of the night which disrupted my sleep. The restaurant doesn't open till late as told. I went down at 5pm and was told that they do not serve dinner but there were few groups of local tourists sitting there. Overall it is still an ok hotel but needs some improvement on their premises.

We booked Villa Misk because of the beautiful view overlooking the boats and Philae temple in the distance. The villa is slightly out of town, which makes it very peaceful and tea on the terrace overlooking the water is just wonderful. The hospitality here is second to none. Ahmed and his family went above and beyond to make our stay in Aswan the best that it could be. They were very accommodating of our early check in and late check out. Ahmed not only organised a visit to Abu Simbel for us from Aswan, he very kindly organised a driver for us for our time in Luxor as well. Our best memories in Egypt are all thanks to Ahmed’s kindness and expertise. Definitely book this place - it’s a gem.

Its a giant hotel complex, and located in the south of the town centre, but love it because it was during their supposed off-season and they surprised us with an upgraded to a huge 2-bedroom corner suite! To say they did everything to make us feel welcome and helpful would be an understatement! From evening falukas and day-tour drivers to Unfinished Obelisk and Abu Simbel and even our last minute on-the-spot 3N2D Nile Cruise to Luxor! We made some great friendships and won't forget them! Thank you Aswan!! Negative: The evening menu..but I chalk that up to being the off-season, and not effort on the staffs part..because they were all helpful. Negative: No place to make small change with large bills or currency.
