The room comfortably accommodates 6 people with three double beds, and the bedding is very clean. Each floor has a desk with charging points. The WiFi speed is decent. Breakfast includes sandwiches, toast, milk, coffee, cereal, and unlimited drinks. There's also a gas stove, which is great if you like to cook your own meals, like boiling an egg. The living room on the first floor is spacious enough for dozens of people to have meetings or chats. A major plus is its 8-minute walk to Southern Cross Station, located right in the city center on King Street. **Environment:** Quiet, safe, and convenient. **Cleanliness:** The bathroom is very clean, gets daily cleaning, and has no unpleasant odors.

Definitely not the best hostel I've been too but not the worst either. However I wouldn't recommend as a female guest. First, they take a photo of you upon check in. I don't know if this is customary in Australia but if it was up to me I wouldnt be willing to provide it (it is stated on trip.com upon booking though, I guess I just missed it). Second... I'm not making any claims here but inside the female bathrooms, there are tiny holes on the walls and doors. They could totally be harmless, but as someone living in Korea where those holes in public bathrooms mean something harmful to women... I wouldn't risk staying at such a place ever again now that I know. Now for the facility review... There was 1 working bathroom with 2 toilets & 2 shower booths on my floor, but it probably wasnt too crowded, I never had to wait to shower. Hot water came out just fine. Would give a 7/10 for cleanliness... There were 2 hair dryers only 1 of which was working. The location is very good, walking distance to all CBD landmarks (very near South Cross Station & tram station right outside the door). Which also means that it gets noisy at night with the noise from the train running. You can either close the window (which I heard is very heavy) and live with the stuffy smell, or leave the window open and live with the noise. Cant do both. Amenities... what do I say? I got a key to enter the room & the bathroom. The beds werent numbered so you just get your room number and hop on whichever bed that seemed... fresh. A bed with a blanket, pillow, and curtain for privacy. That was all. They did provide free towels when I asked later. Inside the shared bathroom, there was 1 gel provided inside the shower booth, not sure if it was shower gel or shampoo... I do believe there is plenty room for improvement. Starting from the holes in the shower booths..

:) Little drifter has the biggest kitchen I’ve seen among the hostels I stayed at. I stayed in both the 4-bed and 6-bed female dorms—both were clean. There was also enough hot water in the bathroom. :( The door slammed shut really loudly. And the path outside the front door is difficult for luggage.

I stayed 3 nights but easily could stay the whole week there. Well-equipped kitchen, laundry (paid), clean bathrooms, free parking, and I was lucky to stay alone in my dorm room.

This was one of the best yha we have stayed at. The room was bare but that is to be expected. The amenities, by contrast, were excellent: Two well appointed kichens with nice pans and plenty of space; A roof area and multiple living room areas; an herb garden and plenty of recycling areas; and the games and TV area looked brand new and not old and worn out . The kids enjoyed it and so did we. Highly recommended.

The room was big, the bed was clean, I was glad I didn't miss the trip, the scenery was great, and there was a small balcony, I enjoyed it very much. The hotel has many services, although I didn't try them one by one, but they are heartwarming enough

Lovely vibes, cool chill areas, community bar and community events plus the staff especially the lovely guy who booked me in was Amazing. However it's a very crappy old building with Nil working properly showers and broken toilets. I had 1 night in a nice female room which I barely even saw as I was out and Tried to rest at a 2nd booking being shoved into a mixed smelly weird noisy dorm on a top bunk with ****** knocking on the door at all hrs, one guy snoring and another twat on the phone I told off. Was stressful and I hadn't a Warm shower in a working functioning bathroom in 2 days. Not returning. If you like noisy rude tourists and old buildings with no lift carrying your bags everywhere and no showers, great!

GGuest UserOur stay was fine. Staff polite. Food on site was ok. Wanted to store our luggage before able to check in but the area available had a shutter door which didn’t lock. Some rooms over look boarding kennels. Nothing in the area apart from URBNSURF great place to have food and watch the surfing. Three little Ducks food excellent definitely recommend here .

GGuest User1. The location is very good, very close to the famous Victoria Market, and opposite is Victoria Market, you can go to eat seafood at 6 am. 2. It is not far from the SKYBUS boarding point, about 500 meters walk, two tram stops, and then walk 500 meters to arrive. Melbourne's trams are free and very convenient to ride. 3. It is about 2 tram stops away from the city center, not far from the University of Melbourne and the National Library. There is a supermarket 200 meters away, and there are Asian supermarkets and restaurants downstairs, so eating is not a problem. It is not far from Chinatown. 4. The youth hostel is upstairs, and you have to carry your suitcase upstairs. The front desk is Chinese, and the communication is very smooth. 5. The kitchen is on the second floor, there are not many bowls and knives and forks, but there are many pots, boiling pots, and frying pots. 6. The room hygiene is average. I live in an 8-person female room, which has a urine smell. The flight of the companions who came to play together was one day earlier than mine, so I didn't book an extra hotel. I just made do with one night and left in time for the flight. It's OK for one night. If you stay for a long time, you should jump to a better bed. 7. There is a 50-year-old man in our room, who is very brave. 8. When cooking in the kitchen, it seems that everyone eats very simple food, whether Chinese or foreign, they all eat instant noodles. Only I bought shrimp and salmon to cook. There is an Indian who makes curry chicken. There is free hot water in the kitchen.

GGuest UserI had a great stay at Best Western Crystal Inn. At first, I was told check-in was only after 2pm, but later the staff kindly called me and said I could check in early. That was very helpful! There is free parking on the ground floor, and my room was on the first floor, so it was quiet with no noise from cars. The location is very convenient — just a 10-minute drive to the City Centre. The room was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was especially large and clean. Thank you to the friendly staff for the good service!
