The location is perfect 👍🏻 very close to all the beautiful places in the historic part of the city! Please make sure that you check in online prior arrival to avoid extra charges. It’s easy and takes around 2-3 minutes of your time. The front desk staff speaks English very well. The rooms are spacious with 2 fans for comfortable sleep at night and huge lockers to store your belongings securely (the key provided by check in and it’s included in the price). There are comfortable beds with clean bed sheets and a decent pillow. Bring your own towel though, or you need to pay for one at the front desk. The bathroom is modern but not clean enough to give 5 stars. Also, there is toilet paper but no soap.
As for the kitchen, it’s partially equipped, cooking might be a bit challenging but has a big modern fridge. There is a spacious dine in area and you can enjoy your meal in the garden outside.
Overall, it was a nice stay for me, thank you very much!

No free safe storage for a simple backpack for hostel guests, only paid storage, never had this before in my hundreds of travels... Doesn't accept euros- legal tender in cash, only card payments. Very average, overrated in my experience.

I'd give this hotel a solid thumbs-up, mainly because it's incredibly new and spotlessly clean. While it's a bit of a distance from the city center, I actually see that as a plus. It's incredibly quiet here, making for a truly peaceful and restful sleep. The hotel's newness really shines through in its overall quality – both the facilities and services are excellent. Highly recommended!

The location is close to any attraction in Florence. It can be accessed to most attractions within 25 minutes. The location of the hotel is also good. There are some delicious restaurants nearby. The hotel is also clean. The bathroom is shared but it is really clean. But pay attention to the towels. The front desk service is very good and patient. But a little crowded, if you don't mind more than 10 people in a room, it's really good!

Five stars! This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The hostel is very close to Florence train station, in an alley. There are two buildings, one for men and a mixed group, and the other for women. I chose a four-person women's dorm, so I was lucky enough to stay in the women's building next door. There are only three rooms on the entire floor, each with four beds, and the rooms are incredibly spacious (the owner could easily have made bunk beds for eight people per room, but no, all single beds! I was so touched!). There's a large kitchen, and you can eat as much fruit, jam, and yogurt as you want from the fridge, and also as much pasta and cookies as you want from the counter. The owner is incredibly kind; when I arrived, he gave me a detailed explanation of the sights in Florence and a map. To be honest, Florence might not be my favorite tourist destination, but the thought of staying in such a warm and welcoming hostel makes me feel wonderful about Florence. The name ”My Friends” is perfectly fitting; I highly recommend this hostel to all women visiting Florence.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious, so I was very satisfied overall.
The staff can speak English, and there is a coin laundry in the basement.
I traveled as a solo female traveler, and unfortunately, only one out of three nights was peaceful. I want to warn others about several management and safety issues I encountered here.
On Trip.com, only mixed dorms were available. The platform lists two types of 6-bed dorms: one explicitly labeled 'Mixed Gender' (which I booked) and another generic '6-Bed Dormitory Room' without any gender indication. Since there was no 'Female-only' option, I assumed these were essentially the same thing. I ended up alone in a room with three men, which felt quite unsafe and intimidating. My sleep was constantly interrupted by loud neighbors and the person in the bunk below me shaking the bed all night
When I requested a move to a female dorm or a more balanced mixed room the next morning, the staff was unhelpful. They claimed they couldn't move me because I hadn't booked through their website, even though female beds were available!! They initially demanded I pay the full price again for the next two nights.
After contacting Trip.com support, the hostel still refused to cooperate. Eventually, a more reasonable receptionist helped resolve the issue peacefully.
On my last night, a large group of school students arrived. They were incredibly loud, and it took over an hour after ”quiet hours” began for teachers and staff to finally calm them down. Be aware of this.
Cleanliness: Rooms are relatively clean.
Self-Service: You must make your own bed, which is very difficult if you are assigned a top bunk.
Extra Costs: Towels are not included and cost 1.9€.
Payment: They are strictly card-only.
Pros: There is free hot water at reception, a luggage room, and the location is conveniently close to the Campo di Marte station.
If you are a solo female traveler, be aware that management might prioritize profit over your safety and comfort :)

I'd definitely book this hostel again! The rooms and facilities are fantastic, and the front desk service was excellent. I met some great international friends here. The only minor drawback is that the window soundproofing isn't great, so you can hear outside noises clearly. But hey, we chatted late into the night anyway, haha! And by 9 AM, you'll start hearing traffic. If you bring earplugs, it's a perfect 10! Also, it seems like this place hosts student groups; I saw a large group checking in as I was leaving. If you can avoid those times, it's a great spot! Location-wise, no worries – it's only a 10-minute walk, and for young people, Florence is a small city, so it's not an issue at all!!!

AAnonymous UserLocation: An 8-minute walk from the train station, but might take 15 minutes if you're dragging luggage.
Room: The 6-bed dorm is very spacious, not cramped at all. During the off-season, it wasn't full, with only 2-3 people per night, so it was very quiet.
Service: The staff (young lady) was very nice. They offered a complimentary drink upon check-in and free pasta in the evening. The atmosphere in the evenings was particularly great.

GGoh Wee SiongFantastic location — just a short walk from Firenze SMN train station and all the main attractions like the Duomo and Uffizi Gallery. The staff were super friendly and always smiling, giving great local recommendations. The atmosphere was warm and social, with fun evening events and a cozy common area to relax or meet other travelers. The room and bathroom were clean, and the breakfast was simple but nice.
The room had a slight damp smell and the air circulation wasn’t great, so it could feel a bit humid at night.

GGuest UserI booked this on my way to Florence. It's a beautiful and convenient place to stay with all facilities. Elio , Matteo and everyone at the reception has been very kind and helpful. Elio moved me from mix dorm to Girl dorm. Very kind. You can have coffee and cook your own meal. You can store your luggage and roam around after checkout. They help you with recommendations. Overall I had a very warming experience. I wish to come back again. Bathroom and bed was very clean & made up everyday. Absolutely worth the money and more than that the staff was really good. Only they don't have lift but hey you can climb. ✨
AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is decent — it’s close to a bus stop, which makes getting around fairly convenient. However, it takes about 20 minutes by bus to reach the city center. One of the highlights is the lovely courtyard outside, which is a nice place to relax. The room I stayed in was generally fine, but the privacy could be better — it felt a bit exposed at times. That said, the cleanliness was well-maintained, with regular housekeeping. Overall, it was an okay stay.
