The cheapest hotel I could find. Stayed for 15 days. The rooms was on 4th floor nice and clean. I say rooms because halfway through our stay our air conditioning unit gave out so we were relocated(for free) to another room. The employees were all kind and willing to help with everything we needed. Location is nice. Almost next to Ayala mall and the general area is safe and easy to navigate/find transport in the form of either jeepney or bus. Decor is a bit gloomy and outdated. That beige on the walls is the only thing I disliked. It is by no means a 5 star hotel but it's a bargain for its price(15 euros a night) anyone would be stupid to pass. I recommend it to everyone who want to visit Cebu on a budget. We didn't taste their kitchen or visit the gym they have.

my friends and i had errands in cebu city and we needed to stay overnigt. i already had email interaction with the admin saying that there are 3 of us and we want win beds and an extra bed. When we checked in, they strongly suggested 2 bunk beds and i said NO to that. when i said NO, the receptionist looked irritated. She was impolite in conversation and i had to say ”good afternoon” first. She does not smile and rolls her eyes which i do not really like. anyway, the rest of the staff were really nice and accommodating. The housekeeping guys were kind and quick to help us with what we need and the lady in the kitchen wad nice. it still was a good experience. i just wish that receptionist will find ways to look at life a positive way and find joy so she can spread joy as well.

First I must say that my GF and I have stayed at about 10 hotels on Lapu-Lapu Island. All budget or mid-range priced. All in the last 6 months. The AOSMEC is the lowest priced of the group. All other hotels were 2 to 3 times the price of AOSMEC. The simple truth is that my one week stay at the AOSMEC was the best!!!. Yes it is a basic Hotel with no frills or a pool. But if that's what you are looking for? This hotel is simply perfect. PROS: WIFI speed is extremely good since every floor as it's own router. The hotel is extremely clean. It simply is irreproachable. You always see someone cleaning morning to night. Cable TV is very good with brand new TV'S This hotel is Familly owned by phillipino's and they make sure clients are happy. So any issue that might come up. Is dealt with very quickly and correctly. The room cleaning is upon request but just ask and it's done quickly and perfectly! The owners completely understand what a budget traveller needs and they don't overcharge. You can get anything you need on a ”a la carte” basis. Example: we got some laundry done. The price was about 15% higher then doing it ourselves at a laundramat self serve service. If you factor in tranportion cost to get to and from the laundromat. It's less expensive through the hotel. WOW! The clientele is a mix of locals and foreigners. And all are happy with the rooms and services received. The hotel is soo well managed that it is expanding. About 20 rooms are being added. AND THESE ROOMS ARE NICER! 5 Rooms are 95% completed. I visited one. Cons: the restaurant is basic. It's geared more torwards the local clientele. But there are many good restaurants within walking distance and this should not be a concern. There is also a convenience store right next to the hotel. Not even 30 seconds away. It is about 30 minutes away from the airport. Taxis are a bit more scarce but with the Grab app.(like Huber) that issue goes away. This place is the perfect budget hotel that actually beats out most mid range hotels at 3x the price. Dont hesitate and book. No worries here. Do not hesitate in.booking here. You won't regret

As someone who wants to travel on a budget, dislikes noises, and likes clean amenities, I consider myself lucky to find such deal in shejoje. Their capsules are enough to have a comfortable sleep as for me who's 5'2. But it might be challenging for someone who's tall. Their bathroom and shower are in the same place. I'm amazed that they always maintain the cleanliness of them. Their staff are nice and approachable, too. It was indeed a great stay. Will definitely book again once I return to Cebu.

Location is very nice: 2 malls, gyms, cafes, and lots of restaurants around the area. They also have good security system although it is a bit of a hassle going down to get your food at their specific food delivery area and tapping the room key going in and out the gate. It is along the road so we expected it to be noisy at night, but we had a quiet sleep and no very loud noise disturbances. Room is very nice and CLEAN (10/10). Very well maintained from AC unit to bathroom and floors. They dont provide toiletries like toothpaste nd toothbrush so bring your own in advance. Staff are friendly and nice. Checkout lady gave us allowance of 1hr for checkout time since our appointment in the city was hectic. Overall it was a nice experience and I got to pay it cheap too (booked it on discount). Very recommendable.

Me and my friend stayed at mad monkey for 5 days which was far too long but we didn’t know when we booked that there wasn’t much to do. When we arrived we didn’t get the most friendly welcome from reception we didn’t get told about any events going on in the hostel or any trips that the hostel were offering We found the room was quite dirty and very loud on the road side. The air con made the loudest noises and half the time it was hot. The room smelt very mouldy and damp. The floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned for months especially looking under the beds. The walls were cracked and the paints hanging of the walls. No one cleaned the room in 5 days but we did get toilet roll delivery’s. We found it quite hard to chill near the pool as there wasn’t any comfy chairs and it was a greenhouse in there and soo hot we couldn’t sit there for long. It’s all enclosed and we was told on a very occasions that they couldn’t turn on the aircon. We was pretty disappointed with the food prices(the food was nice) although the pizza doughs were a bit undercooked they were so expensive to say it’s a hostel with backpackers on a budget staying there. For 2 meals it cost us £15. And we spent £3 getting a can of red bull which would cost less in England. We wanted to join in on the beer pong one night and we was told we wasn’t aloud to play if we didn’t buy a bucket of beer which was a big of a money making scheme really so we didn’t end up playing and we didn’t want to drink that night to save on money. Everyone should be able to play as some people don’t drink alcohol. We enjoyed to music quiz we found that was a good laugh. The music was very good in the bar and the dj was great. We also found out you couldn’t buy bottled water which was disappointing so we went to the shop to get bottles. They only have one water dispenser in the full building which is very inconvenient and should have one on every floor. we thought the monkey punch was great and did get you drunk with the free shots. Our only recommendation is that you do this promotion later as 7-8 is still quite early if you don’t go out till 12. Overall wasn’t the best and wouldn’t recommend for backpackers on a budget.

We booked during the Spring Festival. There are basically no rooms on the island. The rooms are consistent with the photos. They are relatively clean overall. They are all tiled. The bed is also made of tiles with a mattress on it. It is quite comfortable to sleep. There is a balcony at the door of the second floor. It's nice to drink tea. The terrace on the third floor can be used to dry clothes and watch the stars at night. Overall evaluation: clean, basically sufficient configuration, not far from alona beach, convenient for travel!

I thought it was a bad hostel. but! Except for the location, everything else is perfect! ! ! ! Excellent value for money. The location is about 2 kilometers away by tuk-tuk to Alona beach. I compared several hotels and this one is very newly decorated and has air conditioning. It is also very quiet at night.

I love this place. The rooms are very clean and cozy. We were very comfortable here during our stay because the atmosphere here is so relaxing. The color combinations of the rooms are just adorable. And the price is just right. The hand-painted murals are simply beautiful. It gives an ambiance of blissful serenity to the place. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Try their Chinese dimsum. You will definitely love it. I’m coming back here for sure.

We stayed for one night after a late flight into Cebu airport. The reception is actually for another accommodation provider called Clockwork Orange. The Spacepods are housed in a seperate building which appears to be largely unoccupied, but once you're in the room it's okay. The pods themselves are modern and there are singles and doubles unlike previous capsule hotels we've stayed in. While we were there, there was a power outage and we took a little while to find the manual door opener, so we were locked in the pods for a short time which was a bit claustrophobic. We were the only guests for the whole pod area which was a good thing as I can't imagine how cramped the common areas would be if it was busy. There's a small locker room to put your stuff but the lockers were too small for our suitcases. The shower area is small, with two toilets, two showers and four sinks. One of the showers blocked. Overall, a cheap place to stay for one night and I would stay again.

During the times we were out for multiple days, we paid for storage instead of paying for the whole room. The owners were incredibly nice and super helpful. After explaining our plans to them, they recommended transport options and locations. Only downside for most people, is that there is a 10 pm curfew. If you’re looking for more of a nightlife, this one might not be the one for you.

This is a homestay, near the pier to the sea, walk in, there are 7-11 and McDonald's, the location can also be cleaned every day, but there is no toothbrush, you have to prepare this yourself, there is a public swimming pool, the environment is OK Breakfast is okay, it ’s calculated by head. I do n’t know if I can order one more. I was in a hurry to catch the boat and leave. Overall, the price is good, but I live on the first floor. There are a lot of mosquitoes!

As someone who is conscious of his travel spending, it has dawned in me that we really do not need much money for us to become a more eco-friendly traveler. And one action I frequently do is by staying at a hostel. I’ll save for another post the reasons why I love staying at hostels. Moon Fools Hostel caught my attention when I was looking for a place to stay at prior to my Bohol trip. It wasn’t there yet when I last visited Panglao in 2015. Without much information about this hostel, I relied on my instinct that it’s probably one of those few accommodations I’d love. And boy I was right… The moment I entered the hostel, I already knew that it was my kind of hostel – an eco-friendly one. I was happy to have had a great conversation with one of the owners, Mari. That is when I have learned that she and her husband are very passionate about the environment. So it isn’t surprising that the materials used in the construction of their hostel are mostly recycled. It is very admirable as to how they have made use of recycled materials from their curtains (coffee sack) to pillowcases, bedsheet, plastic cups turned into plant pots, lamps from old jars, and even recycled wood materials turned into chairs and tables. Moon Fools Hostel shows that the very essence of recycling is re-using. My stay at Moon Fools also comes with a simple breakfast that you get to prepare on your own. It usually consists of oats, raisins, mallows, some spices like cinnamon and nutmeg plus your choice of drinks (coffee, tea, or chocolate). Plus bananas too! I also like the fact that they have these little ecotourist reminders all over their place – from the bathroom to the dining area. The local staff of Moon Fools is the usual endearing and respectful Boholano people. During my 2-night stay, I have noticed that I was the only Filipino. What else to expect with Moon Fools Hostel: All rooms have air conditioning. Free WiFi is available from the lounge area to the rooms. The hostel offers airport shuttle services at an extra charge. The hostel has a shared communal bathroom. A 24-hour convenience store, a cafe and a restaurant are found on the 1st floor of the hostel. There are motorcycles and bicycles for rent. Water sports facilities are also available.

The breakfasts are always so good and sustain me until my next meal usually in the late afternoons or dinner na. The staff and crew that are always approachable and kind. My quaint room that’s always clean, comfortable, and relaxing that there are days I just bury myself in the sheets and read all day long until the sea beckons my name. I had a really great stay here, beds are huge and super comfy. The reps make the nights really fun with games and karaoke. I also did the countryside tour and our guide was so knowledgable, it was definitely worth the money. Special mention to JR who was especially great, he made me feel so welcome and was knowledgable on all of the good local party spots - thank you for a great time ＜3

The hotel is located on the main street, near the bustling, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, everything, just a few minutes walk to the beach, the location is very good. The room did not smell and was clean, but we stayed for two nights. The waiters did not clean. The hotel only prepared a small soap. Other toiletries need to be prepared by themselves. There is no kettle in the room, but hot water is provided in the hallway. The staff service was good. They helped us to carry our luggage without asking for tips, but we took the initiative. Overall it is good, recommended.

Gaea's Apartments charged our credit card for a ”no show” a full 10 MONTHS (yes, months) after we paid cash for our stay. This was probably an honest error, because we paid for two bookings when we checked it, but were unable to resolve the issue with Gaea's or Agoda. Embarrassing for us, the property, and Agoda. Apart from this issue, the property is okay. The stove in the dorm kitchen takes forever to heat up.

This is definitely a secure hostel with keycard access to its entrance and to your room. Inside the room, there are lockers too but not all of them are usable. The hostel appears to be a conversion of someone's home, so there is a lounge and dining area for meeting other travellers and a really good kitchen. The 8 bed dorms must have been bedrooms with ensuite. However, that's the problem - if the room is fully occupied, then one ensuite (combined shower and toilet) means waiting. I don't mind waiting for s shower (and it has hot water no less), but waiting for the toilet is not fun. The other disadvantage of this hostel is its location - you must walk down to the main road to pick up any tricycle, habal-habal, taxi or jeepney to go to the city or port. There aren't any dining options near the hostel either but they do have groceries you can purchase if you want to do that. The free breakfast is coffee with toast & jam, bananas, nuts, oats and sultanas - you can have as much as you like, then wash up your dishes. The beds are comfy zones with privacy curtain, light, power outlet and 3 hooks for hanging you clothes. The room is of course air conditioned. The staff are lovely and organised a great day tour for me at an excellent price. If it wasn't for the location and shortage of toilets, I'd give this hostel 10/10.

Simple, but decent rooms. If your room faces the front, you get road noice. If your room faces the water, you get rooster noise. There's a library where you can sit and wait before check-in or after check-out. Great location for walking to/from the ferries. There are also restaurants across the road and a bunch of shops and stalls near the port. When I discovered that my ferry was cancelled, it was so good just having a short walk back to the hotel. Their walk-up rates are higher than online, so you can just use their wifi to book online at a lower price. Worst aspect is breakfast. It's bland and not kept hot. Worse, they have Fox News blaring on the TV. No Americans at breakfast, yet we get subjected to an American fake news network. Half the time it's telling us the weather in the USA, over 10,000 km away. Knowing the weather in the Philippines would be much more useful, especially on a day when the ferries have been cancelled due to the high seas.

The facilities are good , we sleep well in a room 😊 The kuya in a hotel is very good communications , i will recommend this on our friends.. And our is located at rooftop so we see a lot of city lights and bridge .

Every spot of the place was sanitized and elegant from its affordable price to stay near Mactan Airport. Even the hotel staff are so accommodating and polite. I'll definitely recommend this place, and will go back here, but with my family or friends 'cause I'm a bit scared to be alone in a huge room haha

First of all, this hotel has a sandy beach. There are many seaweed and stones near the sea, which is not suitable for swimming. This noodle is delicious.
