"This time, I brought my mom to Xinzhou specifically for the hot springs. First of all, the location is excellent; it's very convenient to get a taxi in the old town, and the hotel provides a shuttle service within the old town.
We booked a family room, but the receptionist upgraded us to a detached villa.
I highly recommend this villa if you're traveling with family. It's very convenient for parents with its upstairs and downstairs layout, and the rooms are incredibly photogenic.
If you're particular about hotel photos, this is the place to go. Both the indoor and outdoor hot springs are great for pictures. My mom, who has legs that aren't great, said the pure hot spring water was very soothing.
And the service! The service was exceptionally good. The receptionists, Pengpeng, Xiaoxiao, Lailai, and several other staff members whose names I don't remember, were all incredibly helpful. We didn't have to lift a finger with our luggage during our stay. They were available 24/7, and when we left, they even lined up to see us off – it was so incredibly heartwarming!
I'll definitely go back to Xinzhou to stay at Anmita again."
LLiuMKThe hot spring hotel has been awesome. The room is very big, super clean and bright enough in areas like the bathroom. It is warm enough even in winter due to the underfloor heating,, so I have to turn off the room air con heating.
The hotel front desk team is even more awesome. They are always ready to help with all kinds of queries and needs. When we were leaving, they even gave us a bottle of local vinegar as a gift.
The hot spring is not located inside the hotel like the Japanese onsen. It is a couple of hundred meters away, but the hotel provided an electric buggy to ferry you to and fro. The hot spring area itself has a changing room, where you can out on the bathrobe before you step out in the open and into the hot spring. So even in winter, it is still manageable and you should not catch a cold. Some regular hot spring users even put on their down feather jacket over the bathrobe, and that surely is more effective.
There are even security personnel at the hot spring to make sure there is help if you get into difficulties.
Breakfast is also good. The hotel also uses the buggy to fetch you to a posh looking restaurant in the hotel vicinity. Food is good, and not too expensive. There is also a small retail outlet next to the restaurant. The prices there are very reasonable.
GGuest UserMy friends and I love simple, bright, and fresh decor, which is why we ultimately booked this B&B on Ctrip. The pick-up and drop-off service was perfect for us non-driving independent travelers; the car took us to the entrance of the ancient town, and then the shuttle bus from the ancient town dropped us right at the hotel entrance. This was so much better than dragging our luggage through the ancient town like other tourists. Although the B&B isn't on the main street of the ancient town, it's a short walk from everywhere, which is very convenient, and it offers a quiet retreat from the bustle. The butler's service was incredibly thoughtful; they gave us a map of the ancient town and even explained how to explore and where to eat. Even though it's a renovated old house, the interior feels very modern, and the hygiene is excellent. They provide disposable bath towels, regular towels, toilet seat covers, and even bathtub liners. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with attentive service, definitely recommended.

GGuest UserMy stay at Futiandahua Rain Hot Spring Hotel was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right inside the ancient city. It's super close to where they do the iron flower show, which, by the way, is an absolute must-see. I'm getting on in years, but watching that show brought tears to my eyes; I was so moved by the performers' dedication and the incredible spectacle they put on.
It's clear the hotel owner pays incredible attention to detail. My two girlfriends and I stayed in a triple room, and from the moment we walked into the lobby, we were gushing over the hotel's ambiance, the staff, and the room's decor. Every little detail was thoughtfully done. Even when we were heading out to explore the ancient city, the front desk proactively offered us a pack of tissues to take with us.
The room itself was a standalone unit, so it was incredibly quiet. They delivered coffee and afternoon tea daily, and the fruit plate in the room was fresh. There was also a cooler in the lobby with bottled water available for guests. The whole room was smart-enabled with XiaoDu (a smart assistant), and the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, with a separate wet and dry area. Oh, one small thing: the trash can in the bathroom was a bit too small; I hope they can improve that.
The private hot spring was amazing. After a full day of sightseeing, coming back to soak in the hot spring and chat was just pure bliss.

GGuest User⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend! This is an incredibly stylish private hot spring siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard) guesthouse in Datong Ancient City – the Jinhuangqi Private Hot Spring Healing Guesthouse.
The location is right within the ancient city, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustling area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. As soon as you step into the courtyard, you're greeted by a Chinese Zen garden, perfect for photos. The rooms are clean and elegant, with comfortable bedding. The highlight is the private hot spring, offering excellent privacy, and the water temperature is just right. After a soak, you feel completely relaxed and de-stressed.
The service is also very thoughtful; the housekeeper is warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The scrubbing and massage treatments were both excellent, with professional techniques. The overall atmosphere is quiet and healing. It's definitely worth staying here when visiting Datong. I'll be back again next time, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe room still smells a little bit newly renovated. It is located on the bar street and it is very noisy. The front desk said that it will be arranged upstairs to make it less noisy, but the music in the bar next to it has been so loud that it makes people feel heartbroken. It has both points. Anyway, when I was lying on the bed, I regretted choosing this hotel. It's not close to the snack street, so you have to walk for a long time to get there. In short, except for those who like to stay up late at night, it's better to avoid lightning. The room facilities are okay, there is an automatic water dispenser, and the bath water is large, but the shower room and toilet are right next to the bed, which doesn't feel good. The so-called minibar snacks are just a pack of snacks.
__WeChat16367****This trip to Datong changed five hotel experiences, three nights of high-end homestays, Xingyun is the best whole process. The housekeeper contacted one day in advance and arranged to pick me up. After New Year's Day, the room was relatively unnerved and the room type was upgraded. Newly opened in two or five years, but there is no smell, scientific layout, convenient facilities. After visiting the ancient city, I came back to soak in a hot spring. It was very pleasant and the experience was full. The breakfast dishes were rich, and I was sent to the airport after eating and ended the trip with satisfaction. I like Datong very much, and I like Xingyun very much. Thank you butler and all staff for providing such a good experience. I have already recommended it to friends who are going to go to the New Year. I wish business prosperity!

SSudashuiquanquanWe stayed at the Xinzhou Anyin Hot Spring Resort with our two 70-year-old parents for two nights. Our entire family was delighted with our experience. The service, ambiance, and dining all exceeded our expectations.
From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism. They checked us in quickly and attentively, proactively inquiring about our needs and providing a detailed introduction to the hotel's amenities. The bellhops were also very welcoming, helping with our luggage and putting our elderly parents at ease. This attentive service made us feel right at home the moment we arrived.
Overall, our stay was a perfect one. Whether you're taking your parents on vacation or simply relaxing yourself, Anyin Hot Spring Resort is an excellent choice. With its attentive service, elegant ambiance, and delicious food, our family is already planning a return visit! We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality stay in the ancient city of Xinzhou!
MM312721****A very comfortable and wonderful experience. The room was unique and cozy, the hot spring water was clean and the temperature was just right, perfect for taking great photos, whether it was day or night. The breakfast selection was also very extensive, and the service was warm and attentive. In short, fantastic!
HHaliluyaThis homestay is located on the east side of the ancient city of Datong. It is a relatively new area with a much smaller building density than the old area in the west.
The building is very exquisite, many angles can be filmed, I especially like the porch. When we lived, we happened to encounter a small exhibition of Tangka. I can't think of Tangka and the tonality of the homestay itself.
The room is very good, there is a small hall to eat and put things, the bedding in the bedroom is moved, and it is easy to sleep two adults and two children.
Cleaning is very good. At check-in, the waiter will wipe the dirt on the wheel of the suitcase. You have to change slippers or wear socks directly into the room area. Smart toilets are also a plus.
The fly in the ointment is that there seems to be a nightclub next to it? There are bass piercings in at around 11 o'clock.
