A Cozy Getaway with a Few Quirks I recently had the pleasure of staying at Block C in a wonderful location near the beach. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as the bedroom was spacious and beautifully designed. However, there were a few quirks that left us slightly puzzled. Locating the signage for the establishment proved to be a small challenge, but it added a sense of adventure to our experience. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room left something to be desired. It struggled to keep the temperature comfortably cool, and we often found ourselves feeling a bit hot. It would be great if this aspect could be improved to ensure a more comfortable stay. Nevertheless, spending evenings on the balcony was a delightfully cozy and relaxed experience. The ambiance was inviting and lent itself to unwinding after a day of exploration. The surrounding garden and environment added to the overall charm, and we truly appreciated the pleasant surroundings. I highly recommend visiting this place for a minimum stay of 2 to 3 days. Anything less would make the trip feel rushed, as there is so much to explore and enjoy. Despite the minor quirks, our overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here and would gladly return for another visit.

We are glad that we booked this hotel. The beach view was breathtaking and remarkable. Not to mention its excellent location where the old town cobbled street is just right in front of the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast where they offered great selections and indeed one of the best breakfasts we've tried in our Portugal trip. Hotel staff were mostly friendly, especially those in the restaurant, except for the housekeeping staff who refused to give us extra drinking water on the next morning even before we checked out.

This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!

The hotel is very well located, 15 minutes from the city center and right next to the beach. It is charmingly decorated and has a great view towards the city and the ocean. Some things are a bit old and could be better cared for. Our room could definitely use a renovation but still retains a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the breakfast organization today, not enough plates and cutlery and most no one to lift up the tables. Food was also scarse but tasty.

Very comfortable holiday villa, suitable for families and friends. A few minutes away to the beach. Vehicles can be parked directly in the basement parking lot. One parking space per villa. There is a restaurant within a few minutes of driving, and hotel guests also send a wine. In addition, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. I think the living room lighting is not enough. Villa is east facing and can be seen daily from the room.

Gorgeous hotel, very close to 2 beaches, walking distance to strip, but not so close that you can hear all the parties! Room was lovely, cocktails very good, staff very friendly & welcoming! Only thing I would comment less that 5/5 is there was almost no vegan options at the breakfast, which was a shame as we had paid for breakfast included and I couldn’t eat much! Anyway other than that amazing hotel, will definitely stay here again!

We spent a nice week there. The family room was huge and very clean. Beds very good. What was super nervous that you had to stand before the dining room at every meal. The staff was friendly, but not from the speciality...Furthermore, it was not possible to get anything other than water or coffee in the night until breakfast ... One issue that needs addressing: sun bed reservations. There’s a sign stating guests can’t reserve sun beds, but it wasn’t enforced at all. We regularly saw beds left “reserved” for hours while no one was using them, which made it frustrating for other guests trying to find a spot by the pool. The main restaurant was decent but light on options for children who don’t eat large portions. A simple plain cheese and tomato pizza (no herbs or garlic) would go a long way for fussy younger eaters. The nightly entertainment could use some work — it felt slow-paced and wasn’t very engaging. Finally, a special thank you to Carlos on reception — he went above and beyond helping me sort out an issue with my laptop during the stay. That kind of service really stood out.

The location is near residential area and is peaceful and quiet. Our room and balcony faces a not very pretty lot but it didn’t matter so much as we weren’t in the room much of the day. The room was clean and the kitchen very well equipped with utensils and appliances. the sofa bed sheets had some hair which was not too pleasant. On one of the mornings, the electricity went out for 30 minutes but luckily it wasn’t too hot at that time. As it was September, the hotel was fairly quiet most of the time although the front desk told us they were fully booked. There were supermarkets nearly so it was convenient to get food and drinks, and there is a couple of very good Portuguese restaurants within walking distance.

Great location. 15min walk from the strip and 10 mins drive from old town. Everything was great in the hotel, rooms look great. Although we did have strong smoking smell come into our room a few nights even though balcony doors shut. The only problem I had was with the breakfast. Having allergies and dietary requirements were not really accommodated. Majority of the foods had egg in them. I emailed in about this before the stay but nothing was sorted out. I emailed a list of foods i can eat. I was also told halal food will be provided for me from the 3rd day with more variety for me. However I received no halal food/meat, and got hummus every morning out of the list I provided. Not the best but I gave up and stuck to just having potatoes and beans on bread every morning. They did bring everything from the back every morning which is a plus I guess. A couple of wrong recommendations about money exchange from reception too. Otherwise really good hotel.

The location is a little remote, close to the bus station, if you drive, you can. Or go out and take a taxi. I didn't buy breakfast, there is a big supermarket next to it. It is very convenient to buy things! There is a microwave to heat your own food. The quilt is a bit thin, Albufeira is too cold in winter... You must wear a down jacket and a hat at night, the wind is too cold!

The hotel is good overall. The sauna and steam room are not large. The heated pool is great. The gym is nice and overlooks the outdoor pool. My apartment on the sixth floor was great. As the building is large, it takes a while to get to the spa, reception and restaurant. The café is nice but they charge very expensive prices and I do not recommend it. I went to have an American coffee and they charged me different prices each time. The location is not too bad but be aware that you will have to walk a bit to get anywhere. I stayed for 4 days and rented a car for greater comfort.

On the night of the stay, the hotel assigned the room I booked W residence to another guest. When I checked in, I was assigned to the W hotel room booked by the guest. During Easter, the room price difference was about 200 euros per night. The corresponding room level, the halfboard meal booked was not available. The information such as the number of breakfast names and other information is wrong. I went to the restaurant to eat and people said that there was no record of us before I found the problem. Many people at the front desk of the hotel have a very good attitude. ”when ever, what ever” (anytime, anywhere, whatever you ask) This is their slogan. If you really encounter a problem, it is not this solution. On our way to dinner, a man in charge (later learned the name Diogo, I hope you don’t meet him) came up and asked if we needed to change the room. We considered that because we had a baby, we had stayed for one night, and we said that we didn’t have to change the room. At that time, he did not explain the real meaning of not changing the room, such as whether the difference would be refunded or whether there was corresponding compensation. Since we were in the process of dinner, we did not ask at the table. In their restaurant, which is said to be very stylish, it seems to be called paper moon. I feel that things have not been clearly dealt with properly. After dinner, I went to the front desk to find them to show my will. I can not change the room, but the price difference still hopes to be refunded. It doesn't matter to me to live in different room types. They said in person that they could communicate through my booking platform, telling me not to worry, everything will be take care of (still from Diogo!) At the same time, I started communicating with the customer service of Trip.com , and Trip.com I started email exchanges with the hotel simultaneously, from the relay given to me by Trip.com . It means that W side (Diogo's upper level, Yohann) does not approve my request to refund the difference, because I have already agreed not to change the room (meaning that it also means that I have waived any form of compensation). I have not mentioned that I have asked many times in person and many of their personnel to follow up and deal with the refund of the difference. It is a kind of attitude that I do not suffer and I do not apologize. Trip.com Many exclusive customer service has been tracking the progress, and it lasted for about four days and there is still no conclusion. I am very satisfied with Trip.com in the middle. I have been actively communicating. On the one hand, I don't want to suffer, and on the other hand, I am a ** glittering partner. But the other party is biting to death and not accepting the account. In the end, Trip.com offered to refund me 300 euros. I agreed and I was too lazy to toss. All processes here are recorded and emailed as evidence. The day we left, there were hundreds of Jews, they packed the hotel, so that the other Bar that our halfboard was going to try was closed, and we still booked with the front desk. In the end, during the stay, I ate at the same restaurant. The menu was fixed. It was about 5-6 main course. We stayed for three days and ate it all. We couldn't help but say that it was a bit helpless. Their halfboard is an extra dinner, no extra drinks, afternoon tea, etc., and indicates that ”depending on the reception of the restaurant”, be sure to read the instructions carefully! We loved everything! The service was incredibly helpful, the facilities were excellent, and having access to the entire Marriott group was a pleasant surprise. Our only minor complaint was regarding the cleaning. Since we stayed in an apartment, they only clean every four days and don't even change the towels. I agree that daily cleaning isn't necessary, but towels, at the very least, should be changed more regularly. We asked for fresh towels earlier and they were very accommodating, but when the cleaning staff did come, they didn't replace them again, and they even missed the floor towels. We had to call reception a few times, but they always resolved all our issues with great assistance.

This is by far the best hostel I stayed at, in spite of the number of occupants. I was lucky to have very quiet boys in the room. There’s only one bathroom, connected to the room, but it worked. The hostel is new, modern and spotless. The owner is very friendly. The hostel is also 5 minutes walk from the beach. It was perfect. It’s a long walk to Albufeira from the city buses, and not very clear where the FlixBus stops. I wouldn’t recommend walking from the train station, which took me 4 hours. There’s a local bus, don’t scrimp = TAKE IT. Or take an Uber, or Bolt. Or ask the taxi what he wants to charge from the bus stop at the train station ! The RedeExpress is where the bus station is (but not for the FlixBus). In summary, you can go to Albufeira by FlixBus, but it’s difficult to know where FlixBus leaves Albufeira from. That all said, Albufeira is very difficult in high season, TOO CROWDED, but the Portuguese are tolerant and very patient because they know that tourism is lucrative and has raised the whole country out of poverty. Residents enjoy cheap and / or free public transport on local buses (cheap monthly passes). Residents are respectful and kind. You can practice your Portuguese with them for a laugh, but they all speak English to varying degrees. Here you can meet real residents. On the beach, not necessarily in the pubs. I loved it here. Don’t miss it.

Small but clean room. Registration to the hotel was in the shop (I didn't immediately understand where to go, went just to clarify the address. It turned out that the shop's cashier instead of the resepschen) 😀. The coffee capsule is in the room and the kitchen on the upper floor is available for cooking, washing, with coffee machine and refrigerator. Location near the beach in the old city, around the cafe and shops. The only question is a round of bruschat, it is hard to roll the suitcase. But it is not a question to the hotel, just need to be ready. The Internet is excellent. quiet, comfortable. I recommend for a short stay in this city.

This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!

We are glad that we booked this hotel. The beach view was breathtaking and remarkable. Not to mention its excellent location where the old town cobbled street is just right in front of the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast where they offered great selections and indeed one of the best breakfasts we've tried in our Portugal trip. Hotel staff were mostly friendly, especially those in the restaurant, except for the housekeeping staff who refused to give us extra drinking water on the next morning even before we checked out.

The hotel is very well located, 15 minutes from the city center and right next to the beach. It is charmingly decorated and has a great view towards the city and the ocean. Some things are a bit old and could be better cared for. Our room could definitely use a renovation but still retains a great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the breakfast organization today, not enough plates and cutlery and most no one to lift up the tables. Food was also scarse but tasty.

We were very well received at the Mar à vista hotel. There was an overbooking and we were transferred to another hotel in the chain, Hotel Auramar, at no additional cost. Excellent reception and amenities. We extended it for another day at another hotel in the chain, both on the beachfront and maintained the initial daily rate. Excellent service and facilities. I highly recommend it.
