A Mixed Stay Near Hauptbahnhof
We stayed at this hotel for one night and found it to be a ok option overall, especially for its convenient location. On the positive side, it’s situated right near the Hauptbahnhof, making it an ideal base for a quick day of exploring the city via public transport. The breakfast staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, creating a pleasant morning vibe. While the breakfast selection wasn’t extensive, it covered all the essentials:fresh bread, fruits, cereals, and hot items—to fuel you up for the day ahead.
That said, there were some notable drawbacks that detracted from the experience. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator on the 5th floor, there was a strong, unpleasant plumbing odor coming from the toilet area in the hallway. Unfortunately, this issue persisted in our room (583), where the smell emanated from the bathroom. Even after leaving the window open all day, it lingered upon our return, which was quite off-putting. The hotel was fully booked, according to the receptionist, so we didn’t pursue switching rooms. Additionally, the Hocker near the tea table was heavily worn and tattered, almost as if it had been chewed by a cat for years. The mini-bar was disappointingly empty, with just a single bottle of water provided. Sauna was off at 10:30am.
At €150 per night, this hotel feels overpriced for what it offers— I’d recommend exploring other nearby alternatives for better value and comfort.FromDKK 731

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is self check-in area so I could check-in very quickly. The guest kitchen is also good and has basic cooking utensils. The hostel room is smaller than I through and looked in the pictures. We are 2 so that’s enough. The bus stations are near to hostel ( just 100m ), U-line ( 500m ).

The hotel was conveniently located with a taxi stand directly out front making it very easy to get around the city. The staff were also quite pleasant.
Unfortunately the room we were placed in had a serious mold issue in the shower. When I asked about it, they switched us to another room, but the showers still had significant marks of black mold in the grout of the tiles. The attached photo is the state of the shower upon check in. This is not up to what I have heard is the standard for Pullman brand and therefore I cannot recommend this hotel.FromDKK 782

Absolutely in love with this hotel and our room specifically. It’s just few steps away from the Berlin Wall museum and Charlie Checkpoint, 12mins from the metro station to reach other tourist attractions. The room was super spacious and clean, with a view of the street. It can get a bit noisy on weekend’s nights but we had zero problem with that. The staffs were very nice and helpful. The price was also very competitive for a big city like Berlin.

I travel around often and I sleep in hotels many nights a year, I had never experienced the situation that I had when I arrived at the Hilton Berlin.
I had booked, and paid for a ‘Twin Room with Dome View’ about 4 months before the trip.
Upon check-in, I was automatically assigned a room that was not twin nor Dome View (you can see the view in the pictures below); I went back to reception twice, to complain that this was not the room I had booked, the hotel staff was most unhelpful, they didn’t allow me to speak with the manager, nor did they provided any solution or any sort of compensation, their answer simply was that the hotel was booked up and that there was nothing they could do.
This was wrong for different reasons, first they assigned me a room that only had one bed, secondly they didn’t provide any solution other than adding a little roller bed to the room, third they didn’t allow me to speak with the manager.
I am very disappointed, these sort of experiences do not belong to a hotel chain like Hilton. This unfortunate incident tainted my stay at the hotel.
I hope this review gets somehow to someone at Hilton and does something to avoid any further guests having a similar experience.
Furthermore, the sauna facilities was apparently not part of the room rate (this was not mentioned whatsoever) and when I checked out I found that I had to pay for every single time I used the sauna.FromDKK 867

We were greeted with the friendly front desk staff & got an early check in to the room 🫶🏻 Lucky enough to get a connecting room (perfect for family stay) after requesting for one. Room was spacious enough however they don't provide amenities like room slipper and toothbrush nor mineral water. Our room is city view hence it was a tad bit noisy at night. Apart from that, everything is perfect.

The hotel is near the famous Alexanderplatz; unfortunately near the bridge of the U-Bahn.
The smell of pee outside is off putting to say the least.
The hotel and rooms are clean, unfortunately there’s carpet everywhere. So you can’t really tell. It’s not hygienic.
The rooms are a little small, there’s little space to empty your luggage and nowhere to actually put it.
The plug situation in the room is ridiculous. In a double room, there’s only one plug near only one of the beds.
In the shower, there’s nothing to place your own shampoo and conditioner and so on.

The room is very big. It is on the second floor. You can walk out of the room and there is a small garden. The bed is very comfortable, not too soft or too hard, great. The Berlin Gate is right outside the door, and the subway entrance is less than 50 meters away. The transportation is extremely convenient. The breakfast is great, there are many waiters, coffee, tea, and food that needs to be waited for can be ordered and asked to be delivered by the waiter. In short, the experience is very good. We like staying in Acor hotels like this Novotel because they are always good quality with excellent beds and usually in A good location. This one was central to all the tick box sights and close to the metro and trams. The only thing I would recommend to the management there is that to enter the lobby you have to walk through the clouds of smoke and smell from the smoking seating area next to the doors. The Dorint Hotel is located on Berlin's Ku'damm, making it very conveniently located for public transport. The reception is staffed by several extremely friendly and helpful employees! Hats off! Our room on the 5th floor was about 35m², so quite large, but also a bit dated. The (old) carpeting is definitely outdated, as is the furniture. I don't like an empty minibar! A kettle is useless if there are no tea bags available.
The ”bummer” for me was the attempt to clean and make our room only every two days. I received a message to this effect on the second day, which I objected to, whereupon my bed was made daily.
The breakfast was very good and varied. Compliments. However, THIS service staff could have been given a smile and friendliness.
After four days of rain, there was unfortunately no umbrella, and the neck support pillow was also out.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Berlin for 4 nights during my first trip to Germany, and it was a truly exceptional experience.
The hotel is beautifully located near Tiergarten and just a short walk from the Berlin Zoo and public transport. I arrived late at night, but check-in was fast and professional. The staff were polite, helpful, and spoke excellent English.
My room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly designed. I especially loved the large windows and the comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern with both a shower and a deep bathtub, plus high-quality toiletries.
Breakfast was one of the highlights — a wide variety of international and local dishes, fresh juices, and barista-style coffee. I also had dinner at Hugos Restaurant on the 14th floor. The food was outstanding, and the panoramic city view made it unforgettable.
The wellness area was clean and relaxing, though the sauna required a small additional fee. The indoor pool and gym were great after long sightseeing days.

Hotel is in good location, right in front of the metro. Receptionists are friendly, room is clean, and was equipped with great amenities. Another great thing is that their AC works well - perfect to fight against Berlin heat.
My room was facing the street so it was quite noisy, but it was fine.

I stayed at the nhow Hotel Berlin with friends for 6 nights around New Year's. While there were some positive aspects, overall, the experience felt quite inconsistent for a 4-star hotel.
The positives:
- The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable.
- Soundproofing between the rooms was good.
- The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
However, there were numerous issues that detracted from the experience:
- Reservation Mix-Up: I had specifically requested two single beds instead of a double bed, but this was not reflected in the room assignment upon arrival.
- Missing Amenities: Basic items in a hotel like bathrobes and slippers were missing from the room, and we were told to order them via room service. Unfortunately, the app didn’t work, and no one at the reception answered the phone despite multiple attempts on different days.
- Light and Noise Issues: While the rooms were soundproofed well from other rooms, we could hear everything happening in the hallway. Additionally, there was a gap under the door, letting light from the corridor into the room at night, which made it impossible to have complete darkness.
- Wellness Area: The wellness area was underwhelming. There was no jacuzzi, only a sauna and a hammam, and the hammam was out of service. The gym locker room lights stopped working after a certain time, and towels were unavailable later in the day.
- Misleading Information: A brochure in the room mentioned that phone chargers were available via room service. However, we were told at the reception that these were no longer provided for free and had to be purchased for €20.
While the hotel wasn’t bad overall, these recurring small issues added up and left us feeling that the service didn’t meet the expectations for a 4-star establishment. It’s a shame because we did enjoy our stay to some extent, but the lack of attention to detail was disappointing.
If I return to Berlin, I won’t rule out staying here again, but I’ll definitely check other options first.FromDKK 669

The hotel is very close to the train station. It is very convenient to commute from Berlin main train station. It is not far from museum Island. We can walk there. The area is good. Rossmann is just opposite the hotel. The room is very clean and spacious. The bed is great. We had a very comfortable deep sleep here. Overall, I felt it was OK, mainly because it was close to the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. The front desk service felt a bit perfunctory. When I asked to add breakfast, they only said that I could go directly to the restaurant to settle the bill after check-out, 36€ per person. As a result, I ate two meals but was charged for four meals, totaling 344€. After several email negotiations, they agreed to settle the bill according to the restaurant registration and refunded 144€. I don't understand how this bill was calculated.FromDKK 1,190

First of all, this is not a 5 star hotel! It is listed as a 5 ⭐ on many sites, but it is a 4 ⭐ hotel.
Rooms are ok size, we had comfortable real double bed (not two single beds pretending to be double). Free mini bar and coffee machine was a great add on. But no slippers. Balcony in my room was too small, but some rooms have bigger balconies, so it depends on luck what you'll get.
Location is ok, but not great. Close to the metro station with one line. To go anywhere you have to go to to Zoo station first.FromDKK 560

The room was spacious, and the large bed was perfect for our baby and us. It was also kept very clean. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to both the subway and S-Bahn. Overall, we were quite satisfied. However, we accidentally left our baby's sleeping bag at the hotel. When we called to inquire, the front desk had no record of it in their lost and found, which was quite puzzling. Aside from that, we were happy with almost everything. The bed in this room category was incredibly soft. I suspect it's quite old, as I just sank into it completely, offering absolutely no proper support. I had a terribly uncomfortable night and barely slept at all. I had expected the bedding to be similar to the Marriott in Copenhagen, but this particular bed at the German Marriott was surprisingly uncomfortable. I had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade. The location is excellent — very convenient for exploring Berlin, with easy access to public transportation and major attractions. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it perfect for both business and leisure trips.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a warm attitude. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fresh options to choose from. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt elegant yet relaxing.

I absolutely love this hotel! The breakfast is excellent and the quality is amazing! Location is good and the comfort is top notch. The only improvement that could be made is to have the complimentary bottled water refilled. They only provide it for the first day. What a great hotel! Staying in the first 2 months after opening has always been a risky endeavor in our travels, but the Hotel Luc has knocked it out of the park. Incredible service, beautiful artwork, delicious food - everything was perfectly executed to give us a great 3-night stay. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. I also had a great view of the neighboring square.
The attached restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner with fresh local food and great service. A champagne check-in always sets the right tone, and from there, every interaction with every staff member was fun, engaging, and helpful. They went above and beyond to the point where you start to feel a bit guilty as if you don’t deserve to be spoiled this way. But hey, who can complain about feeling like a Queen or a King for a few days!
