The hotel has that classic luxury vibe but still feels warm and comfortable, not overly formal. Location was super convenient — easy to walk around downtown Calgary, restaurants, cafés, and shopping nearby. The room was spacious and cozy, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast service was excellent. Also loved the little details and the old historic atmosphere of the hotel.

Excellent hotel. The airport pickup was prompt and communication was smooth. The hygiene was superb, and the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was good, purely Western, but all edible and with a decent variety, including fruit. The hotel's surroundings only have a cafe, no other dining options. It's not far from the outlet mall.

The room facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is good, the price is cheap, and parking is convenient. However, the front desk service was really subpar. I couldn't understand why, while the front desk was processing my check-in, a supervisor came over and started chatting with them about irrelevant things, leaving me standing there waiting for them to finish. The first room card didn't work, so I had to go back downstairs, queue up again to exchange it, and they kept asking me if I was using it correctly. Am I stupid? Do I not know how to open a door? Terrible service.

The location is great! They offer private airport transfers and it's a popular base for tour groups, which is super convenient as you don't have to constantly move around. There are also supermarkets nearby for easy shopping. For those planning a self-drive trip, it's not far from Highway 1, so everything is just perfect. My only slight disappointment was the lack of a hot water kettle in the room, which isn't ideal for us Asians who prefer hot drinks. Also, even though I only stayed one night, I was bothered by two Western girls. First, they were laughing loudly outside my door, then they knocked and ran away, only for me to open the door and see them laughing elsewhere with a phone propped up on the floor filming my doorway. Maybe it was some kind of YouTube prank! Anyway, I felt disturbed by them! I didn't feel comfortable filming them, but I hope the hotel takes this seriously.

The hotel is conveniently located on the same floor as the departure terminal. The room was quite comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a separate shower. There are fast food options in the airport like Tim Hortons, Japanese food, burgers, and sandwiches, so you can grab breakfast there if it's not included with your stay. A quick complaint about WestJet's check-in speed: we waited in line for 40 minutes and the line barely moved. I had to shamelessly ask some foreigners if I could cut in front of them, otherwise, we would have missed our flight.

The presence of many homeless people nearby made me reluctant to go out at night. The hotel was conveniently located near the 8th Street C-Train station, and it was easy to use the free zone within downtown. It's situated at the western end of downtown, while most major city facilities are to the east. There are plenty of Tim Hortons, convenience stores, and other restaurants nearby, and it's close to the riverside, which is great for walks. The hotel only has a pool and a gym; there's no breakfast service. The room atmosphere was generally dark, and the facilities felt a bit dated. The room itself was spacious, with a separate bedroom and living area. The bedding was comfortable. Although I could hear the train passing, it wasn't disruptive enough to affect my sleep. The view was of the office building across the street, so I couldn't really keep the curtains open. There's a mini-kitchen, but it's barely stocked with cooking utensils. They don't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to inconveniently ask for it at reception. Housekeeping also occasionally missed cleaning the room.

We stayed at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino hotel because we wanted to try the $50 prime rib buffet at the Mohave Grill. The prime rib was amazing by the way. My husband and noticed that hotels were really expensive that weekend, so we thought to pay an extra $40 and stay somewhere that we thought was going to be more bougie than an Econolodge. Upon check-in, the staff were friendly and let us check in early without an extra charge. The rooms were clean and neat. The beds however were not the most comfortable, so the sleep wasn't that great. The tub was also not the greatest as it feels like it was made for a small child, and I'm a medium build at 5'3. We have stayed in Comfort Inns, Econolodges, and other hotels like them and we found the Deerfoot Inn to be the same room-wise. We got our stay for $200 for the night and that was without a continental breakfast. A lot of the time I have seen this hotel at over $300 a night. I wouldn't stay here again unless the rooms are around $160, which to us is what they should be. It was a waste of the extra $40 to stay here when you can get the same room at a cheaper hotel with breakfast. Yes, they have the Casino so there is a little bit more to do walking around but still not worth the room price.

On the website we chose a room with a jacuzzi, but when we checked in, it turned out that the room was given without it. My husband and I were not happy because we expected one thing, but it was completely different. Moreover, the price was higher than a regular room. At the reception, the man did not want to clarify this issue and said that it was all the fault of the people who put false information on the website. There was no tea in the room, only coffee, which I don't drink at all. There was no ordinary water. Also, when we went to bed, we turned on the heat, because the room was cold, but when we woke up in the morning, our noses were stuffy and the air conditioner was working very loudly, and we realized that it was working all night, it was cold. There were no things like bathrobes or slippers in the room, which also outraged us. In general, the hotel did not make a great impression and satisfaction that we would have liked.

The hotel is friendly to families, with complete facilities and a fully equipped kitchen. This hotel shares a gym, swimming pool, and self-service laundry with another Marriott hotel nearby, which is also very convenient. The sofa bed is not very big, but it is no problem to sleep two children, but be careful about the edges of the sofa bed. I booked a corner room at the far end, which is larger but a bit far from the elevator. It's still OK for a one-night layover at Calgary Airport before going to Banff, but it's a bit old.

Room was average, but I was placed in a room with a connecting door to another room, and there was very little sound insulation between the two rooms. I could also see light coming through the cracks around the hallway door. Since this hotel is near the airport, many guests are likely staying there before or after travel and may already be on limited sleep. Because of that, I’m not sure I would recommend this hotel if a quiet room is important. That said, the staff were great, and I appreciated the free shuttle.

This hotel in Calgary offers incredible value for money! It was by far the most comfortable stay I had throughout my entire trip in Canada. The facilities are new, the rooms are spacious, and the decor is elegant and tasteful. They even have a gym. The service was very welcoming, though the restaurant food was quite average – but then again, Chinese palates can be hard to please! The best part was the long row of charging desks in the lobby. For someone like me, who had half a day to kill before heading to the airport and needed to work on my laptop, it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is also just a 100-meter walk from Caesar's Steak House, a famous old steakhouse in Calgary. If you're interested, it's worth checking out. This hotel gave my Canadian trip a wonderful ending! (Although I did encounter some truly disgusting and over-the-top hotels along the way – like the Glacier View Lodge by the Columbia Icefield on the Icefields Parkway near Jasper. They severely discriminated against Chinese people, and the staff were incredibly rude and aggressive, telling guests to get out of their hotel late at night in freezing weather! I'd advise everyone to avoid it.)

Not our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today! It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so  minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered. Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”. After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card. Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge. “No apologies or thank you for staying with us”. Disappointing. Side note - Service in the casino was great - including the restaurant.

We loved our experience at The Dorian! Room was beautiful with so many details covered. Bathroom was huge (hard to find these days) and we especially loved the details in the wet bar cart. Service was friendly from check in to check out. We did not eat on site, but the location was in walking distance to our dinner date. Only negative was the cleaning staff talking loudly in the hallway at 9 am for about 20 minutes. I should have let them know their voices carried into our room, but instead didn't say anything...I regret that after the fact. All in all, we had a great time and will for sure book at the Dorian again!

The room space, facilities, common living room layout and breakfast snacks were all done in place and intimate. It’s really comfortable to make breakfast and sit in the sun every morning. The hotel environment is not to mention, just by the Bao River, there are two different styles of riverside parks at both ends. Even if you visit the hotel around the hotel, you can enjoy the autumn colors and different scenery of Canada.

If they had some food options even grab and go stuff that would be very helpful, I didn't feel like waiting for Uber eats, and I didn't have a vehicle. My only ick, was that it slowly starting to see wear and tear, but it's not being upkept. Minor things, but like the doors had paint chips at the bottom, it didn't affect my stay.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary Airport (IHG). The location is very convenient for the airport and surrounding routes, and the overall cleanliness of the property was excellent—both the rooms and common areas were well maintained. Amenities are fairly basic, so travellers expecting extensive facilities may find them somewhat limited. Unfortunately, the service was on the poorer end of the spectrum during my stay. One point future guests should be aware of: the booking information on the hotel’s website states that a deposit is required, but it does not clearly specify that this must be provided strictly via credit card. Staff indicated that this policy is standard at hotels worldwide; however, as an experienced traveller, I can confirm that many hotels do in fact accept debit cards for deposits. To avoid any issues at check-in, make sure you bring a credit card with you. Overall: great location and cleanliness, basic amenities, but service and clarity around deposit policies could certainly be improved.

I stayed at Amenida Residency Hotel for two days and had an excellent experience. The room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities for comfortable stay. The bedding and linens were fresh and well maintained, which added to the overall comfort. The location is another major advantage, just 6 minutes from downtown, with a metro station conveniently located right behind the building, making travel around the city effortless. Overall, it offers great value, comfort, and convenience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Great price and location. Ukrainian lady in the front was awkward but nice. Rooms were clean but not having any fridge was shocking.
