How MOQ Works at Yiwu Market: Low Minimums, Big Opportunities

How MOQ Works at Yiwu Market: Low Minimums, Big Opportunities

One of Yiwu Market’s biggest competitive edges is its ultra-flexible MOQ policy, which differs drastically from traditional Chinese manufacturing markets. Most Yiwu suppliers support small-batch wholesale, perfectly catering to small and medium global buyers.

General MOQ rules: Common small commodities (accessories, stationery, small toys) have MOQs starting from 50–200 pieces per design. For daily necessities and textiles, MOQs can be as low as 30–100 pieces. Even customized orders accept low minimums for logo printing or minor modifications. Large-volume orders enjoy further discounted unit prices, while small trial orders are fully supported to help buyers test market demand with zero risk.

Additionally, most booths allow mixed SKU consolidation. You can source different products from multiple suppliers and combine them into one container shipment to reduce logistics costs.

  5. Place Deposit & Confirm Order: Pay a 30%–50% deposit to lock orders and confirm production details.
  6. Quality Inspection: Arrange pre-shipment inspection to check product quality, quantity, and packaging.
  7. Balance Payment & Shipment: Pay the remaining balance after QC pass, then arrange consolidation, customs clearance, and international shipping.

How to Buy from Yiwu Market Online: Remote Sourcing Guide

If you cannot travel to China, you can fully source remotely via online methods, which are widely adopted by global cross-border sellers:

  1. Connect with Suppliers Online: Search verified Yiwu booth suppliers via official market platforms, B2B websites, or trusted sourcing agents, and browse real-time product catalogs.
  2. Request Digital Samples & Quotations: Ask suppliers for product videos, high-definition photos, spec sheets, and formal quotations with shipping terms.
  3. Order Physical Samples: Pay sample fees and shipping costs to get physical samples for quality confirmation before bulk orders.
  4. Confirm Order Details Remotely: Finalize MOQ, unit price, customization, lead time, and shipping method via online communication.
  5. Use Sourcing Agent Services: Hire local Yiwu agents to verify suppliers, inspect goods, consolidate orders, and handle logistics for risk-free remote sourcing.
  6. Arrange Global Shipping: After production completion, arrange door-to-door or port-to-port shipping to your country.

Online Yiwu sourcing eliminates travel costs and shortens procurement cycles, making it ideal for long-term bulk purchasing and small-batch trial orders.

How to Ship Products from Yiwu Market?

How to Ship Products from Yiwu Market?

Yiwu has no seaport, so goods are trucked to nearby ports (mainly Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, ~150 km away) or shipped via air/rail. Choose your shipping method based on volume, budget, and urgency:

1. Sea Freight – Most Cost-Effective for Bulk Goods

The most common choice for wholesale shipments from Yiwu wholesale market.

  • FCL (Full Container Load): For large shipments (20GP, 40GP, 40HQ containers). Best when you fill an entire container with goods from one or multiple suppliers.
  • LCL (Less than Container Load): For smaller volumes (under 15 CBM). Your goods share a container with other buyers’ cargo.
  • Transit time: 20–42 days port-to-port, depending on destination (25–35 days to US/Europe).
  • Pro tip: Consolidate orders from multiple Yiwu suppliers into one LCL shipment to cut freight costs by 35–50% compared to shipping separately.

2. Air Freight – Fast for Urgent, High-Value Goods

  • How it works: Cargo flies from Yiwu Airport (YIW) or nearby Hangzhou/Shanghai airports to your destination airport.
  • Transit time: 3–10 days airport-to-airport.
  • Best for: Time-sensitive orders, high-value products, or restocking shipments where speed outweighs cost.
  • Minimum weight: Usually 45 kg.

3. Express Courier – Door-to-Door for Samples & Small Parcels

  • Carriers: DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT.
  • Transit time: 2–7 days door-to-door.
  • Best for: product samples, trial orders, or very small high-value packages.
  • Note: Expensive for large volumes; use only for shipments under ~100 kg.

4. China-Europe Railway Express – Balanced Option for Europe/Central Asia

  • How it works: Rail freight from Yiwu to Europe and Central Asia.
  • Transit time: 12–18 days, faster than sea freight and cheaper than air freight.
  • Best for: Buyers shipping to Europe who want faster delivery than sea without paying air freight rates. Also more carbon-efficient than air or sea.

Standard Shipping Process from Yiwu

  1. Finalize orders with all suppliers and confirm packaging/labeling requirements.
  2. Hire a local Yiwu freight forwarder or sourcing agent to handle consolidation, warehousing, and customs. Local agents get better rates and know Yiwu’s export procedures.
  3. Deliver goods to the forwarder’s warehouse (or have suppliers send them directly).
  4. Quality check (optional but recommended) before loading.
  5. Customs declaration in China, then loading and departure.
  6. Destination customs clearance and final delivery to your address.

Key Shipping Tips

  • Always confirm HS codes with your forwarder in advance to avoid customs delays.
  • For mixed SKU orders from Huangyuan Market Yiwu and the main International Trade Market, use a single forwarder for consolidation.
  • Get quotes from 2–3 forwarders to compare pricing; local Yiwu forwarders are usually cheaper than your home-country forwarder.

  • Avoid Counterfeit Products: Steer clear of brand-look-alike products to prevent customs seizure and legal issues .

I had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. From the moment I arrived until check-out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and welcoming. A very special thank you to Miss Iris, who truly made our stay exceptional. She kindly upgraded our room, which made our trip even more enjoyable. She was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, patiently answering all of my questions and always ready to assist whenever I needed anything. Every time I had a problem, I simply reached out to her, and it was solved right away. She also made both the check-in and check-out process quick and effortless. Her professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness are a real credit to the hotel. The food was excellent with plenty of delicious options. My absolute favorite part of the hotel was the Executive Lounge. It became my go-to place to relax, work, and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, and the view is simply the best in town. It’s the perfect space if you want to unwind or get some work done. While I wasn’t particularly impressed with the swimming pool and sauna (I have experienced better facilities at other hotels) but the gym definitely made up for it. It was well-equipped, and I was pleasantly surprised to find Reformer Pilates machines, which is something you don’t often see in hotel gyms. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The outstanding service, especially from Miss Iris, the excellent food, and the Executive Lounge made this a memorable experience. Thank you, Shangri-La, and thank you again, Miss Iris, for making us feel so well taken care of!

Facilities: To be honest, the decor looks quite trendy, but the carpets and such felt a bit old and worn. Hygiene: Because it was old, it didn't feel very clean. I started sneezing as soon as I entered the room. Later, when I went to a nearby mall, I suspect it was due to plush toys, and my rhinitis flared up. Environment: It's directly opposite Yiwu Heart, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. The breakfast was pretty good, probably because it was a weekend. The room, however, felt a bit small. Service: The service was excellent. They arranged a room away from the street for us and provided disposable toiletries and slippers for the child. Any issues were addressed very quickly.

I only stayed one day at the Yiwu Marriott, but Kiko's service made it feel incredibly worthwhile. I met her during check-in. Seeing me tired with my luggage, she proactively offered to check if there was a quieter room available. She ended up upgrading me for free and even specifically asked housekeeping to provide two extra bottles of water. Upon entering the room, I found the view from the window to be excellent, which was a pleasant surprise. In the afternoon, while relaxing in the lounge, Kiko came over and handed me a cup of ginger tea, saying, 'Have something warm.' I casually mentioned wanting to explore but not knowing where to go. She immediately pulled out her phone and diligently helped me plan a small itinerary – Futang Old Street and the Brown Sugar Factory – with no backtracking, and even clearly marked the taxi pick-up spots. The next day at check-out, I asked about the best way to get to the high-speed train station. She said, 'Let me hail a car for you,' and after arranging it, she wrote down the license plate number and estimated time on a note and handed it to me. The entire process was natural and thoughtful, without any pretense. It's these small things that make you feel genuinely cared for. Thank you, Kiko.

Internatinal Business City Yiwu|3.97km from city center
Having traveled for business extensively, I've stayed in countless hotels, big and small. Most hotel lobbies offer the same old welcome drinks – a perpetually lukewarm pitcher of lemon water or chrysanthemum tea. I thought this was just the industry standard until I stayed at the Yiwu Global Hotel. I was so incredibly touched by their meticulous and thoughtful details that I simply had to write this glowing, five-star review. From the moment I walked into the lobby for check-in, I noticed the beautifully arranged, large glass beverage dispensers next to the front desk. The vibrant fruit tea, with its fresh fruit slices, was visually refreshing and instantly appealing. I initially just poured a cup to quench my thirst, and it was delightfully sweet and crisp, bursting with fresh fruit flavor. I casually complimented the front desk staff on how good it was, and their reply genuinely surprised me: the hotel's complimentary daily welcome fruit tea operates on a seven-day rotation, with a completely different special blend offered each day of the week. This means every guest who visits can enjoy a unique, specially crafted tea. After learning this detail, curiosity led me to extend my stay for a few more days, and I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel's dedication. On Monday, I tried the pineapple iced tea – a single sip delivered the crispness of pineapple and the sweetness of preserved plum; it was absolutely divine. I won't go into detail about the other varieties, but there were seven distinct flavors over seven days, balancing hot and cold, sweet and savory, to cater to different seasons and guests of all ages. During hot summer days, they feature refreshing and detoxifying iced fruit teas, while on rainy days, they offer warm, stomach-soothing hot brewed teas. Even the fruit used in the ingredients is freshly sourced daily, rejecting concentrated syrups, ensuring every sip delivers genuine fresh fruit aroma. Many hotels treat welcome drinks as a perfunctory, standard service, believing that simply providing water is sufficient. Few are willing to invest the time, effort, and cost to constantly change their recipes daily. However, this hotel goes above and beyond in such a seemingly minor detail. There's no forced consumption or marketing gimmicks; it's simply their desire for every guest, each day they arrive and depart, to experience a small sense of freshness and ceremony. For business travelers constantly on the move, a different fresh fruit tea each day can alleviate travel fatigue and reduce the feeling of unfamiliarity in a new place. It's not just the lobby tea that's thoughtfully prepared; you can feel the same meticulous approach in the in-room amenities and staff service. The seven-day rotating fruit tea, while seemingly a small gesture, reflects the hotel management's core philosophy of truly prioritizing the guest experience: not cutting corners on any detail, not neglecting any guest, and transforming ordinary basic services into something fresh and delightful. Standardized service is common, but hotels willing to continually refine subtle details and proactively create small surprises are rare. A daily changing fresh fruit tea, though inexpensive and not large in quantity, is packed with genuine sincerity. In the future, every time I visit Yiwu, I will definitely choose this hidden gem of a hotel. I sincerely recommend it to all friends traveling or on business here. Seeing true care in the little things – that, perhaps, is the most moving aspect of a good hotel.

This is a great hotel! There's a really lively night market just behind it. We bought delicious food and fun stuff there. Kids' happiness is just that simple. It was pretty crowded on the weekend, but there were plenty of seats for breakfast, so it didn't feel cramped at all. The breakfast was also very generous, with lots of bread options, which my little sister loved. Thanks to the front desk for upgrading our room. We were traveling to Yiwu with our kids and after a long search online, we finally found this hotel. It was a very carefully chosen option, and the results far exceeded our expectations. Every day, fresh fruit was delivered directly to our room, and after 6 PM, there were free fruits and snacks in the lobby. They were all delicious, very fresh, and different each day. If we ordered takeout, the staff would bring it right up to our room. The service was even more thoughtful and warm than many other hotels. The room had plenty of mineral water for us to drink freely, unlike other hotels that only provide two bottles, and there was also a dispenser with mineral water in the elevator area that we could take as much as we wanted from. Upon checking out, they even gave us small gifts to enjoy on our journey. There's also a cafe on the first floor, which serves as the hotel's lobby bar, and we saw many foreigners drinking there online. During the day, the chairs are put away. The area in front of the hotel is cleaned daily, so it's very clean. The lobby and restaurant have a very stylish decor. For the price range of three to four hundred yuan, it's truly excellent value for money. The kids all said the hotel was fantastic. It's also very close to Santing Road Night Market. If you're visiting Yiwu, I highly recommend this place.

The hotel offers free parking, though it's not a dedicated hotel parking lot. The room was spacious enough and quite clean, but the outlets weren't very good – my charger kept falling out. The breakfast looked plentiful, but the taste was really just average, and the fruit wasn't very fresh. However, the staff (the auntie) was very friendly. If you don't absolutely need to stay right next to the trade city, this is a decent option.

Great location, staff was helpful, but I had tj sheets stained with blood. I complained but nothing was done. They should be more aware of that and can’t just leave sheets stained with blood in thwre. If sheets cannot be cleaned they should throw them away!

This hotel is part of the O.C.E.A.N. series' 'light luxury' collection and boasts an excellent location. It's just a five to six-minute drive or taxi ride to the Yiwu International Trade City (District 1). Step out of the hotel, cross the pedestrian bridge, and you're at the San Ting Road Night Market. Both Sultan Turkish Restaurant and Jimão Huà Táng (a local specialty shop) are only a five to six-minute walk away. It's truly the best location in the Binwang Road area! Since this trip was with elderly family members and children, I called the hotel a day in advance to request two adjoining rooms. Upon arrival the next day, the hotel kindly upgraded one of our rooms, fulfilling our request! It's an internationally-friendly hotel, and while the breakfast is served in a Halal restaurant, the variety is extensive. It offers a rich, healthy, and delicious array of exotic flavors. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yiwu for a pleasant shopping experience!

I booked this room for a guest, and they said they were quite satisfied. Mainly, it's very close to District 1 of the Trade City, which made it convenient for them to check out goods. They also found it comfortable and relaxing to sit in the 7th-floor lobby afterwards, enjoying the free fruits and snacks – a really thoughtful touch. The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic, helping the guest with information about the surrounding area and promptly resolving any issues. Next time the guest comes, I'll definitely choose this hotel for them again!

Check-in was super fast, and the room had no strange smells. All the facilities worked perfectly, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. It was really convenient for getting around for business. I felt very secure staying here, truly a top-notch hotel. The cleanliness was exceptional, and all the staff were very polite. The concierge communicated smoothly, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to get some great rest. I'm extremely satisfied with this stay.

The room was great, they upgraded us to a lake-view room. Even though it was a national holiday (May Day), the hotel was very well-organized. There were even staff at the main entrance helping open car doors and handle luggage, which was a nice touch. You can open the windows in the room for ventilation, and the breakfast in the morning was excellent, with some local specialties and everything you'd expect. It definitely justified the May Day pricing. Most importantly, the hotel was relatively quiet, and there weren't too many foreigners, which is a big plus in Yiwu! It's also a short taxi ride to the International Trade City (Futian Market).

Without a doubt, this is one of the finest hotels I have ever experienced. Every detail was perfect—from the elegant rooms and breathtaking lake views to the exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, and their attention to detail was remarkable. The hotel is peaceful, luxurious, impeccably clean, and offers outstanding facilities. The beautiful surprise room decoration made our special occasion even more meaningful. I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, and this one truly stands out. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A flawless experience that deserves more than five stars!

Yiwu, despite being a county-level city, is quite bustling. I stayed at this hotel for a conference and found it convenient that guest rooms and conference rooms are accessed by separate elevators. The lobby bar staff were very attentive, promptly clearing tables and refilling drinks multiple times. Breakfast was plentiful, and the noodles and side dishes tasted great. The swimming pool had a comfortable water temperature in the evening and wasn't crowded. Overall, I had a really good experience this time. I'm planning to bring my family to Yiwu again during the National Day holiday.

This hotel truly made me feel incredibly happy and touched. The facilities are excellent, the service is thoughtful, and the soundproofing is so good that I slept soundly until morning. The breakfast was also superb, with ham, cheese, and fresh honey. I especially want to commend the front desk lady (I forgot to ask her name, but I insist on giving her a shout-out). She greeted me proactively, provided warm service, and helped me connect and find solutions when I encountered a problem. Thank you! I wish you all the best in your work! See you again!

This was my first time staying at the Junyi Yunjing Hotel, and it was quite good. Liu Xuan at the front desk was very welcoming and proactively upgraded my room. I booked two rooms, and they were arranged on the same floor, facing the quieter side of the community. It was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel lobby is spacious and impressive, with a Starbucks on the left and a McDonald's on the right. The front desk staff were warm and attentive. Our room was super large, and the bathroom was also bright and spacious. The gym is a professional, third-party facility, open 24 hours, and accessible via the same elevator – it was my son's favorite! Unfortunately, the swimming pool and basketball court were closed due to a typhoon, which was a shame. The biggest highlight was definitely the breakfast: a wide variety of dishes, fresh fruit, and delicious made-to-order noodles with toppings. There are two large supermarkets nearby, which was convenient for daily necessities, and the hotel is close to a commercial center and the highway. Overall, I'd highly recommend it.

Right from the moment you step into the lobby, this hotel makes a grand impression. The front desk staff are really welcoming and friendly, and they've already put up New Year's decorations, making the whole place feel very festive. The room itself was clean and tidy, and I especially loved having a separate bathtub to soak in. A really excellent hotel! [Strongly recommend]

Facilities: Well-equipped facilities and fast Wi-Fi. Hygiene: Clean, hygienic, and good soundproofing. Environment: Free bottled water is provided, and you can get more for free if needed. Service: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also offer breakfast, which I forgot to take a picture of. This place offers great value for money!

This is a long-standing local five-star hotel. Before my stay, I was debating whether to choose the Atour next door, but after checking in, I was extremely satisfied. The front desk not only upgraded us to a family room but also gave us complimentary fruit and afternoon tea. The hotel has been newly renovated, it's clean and quiet, which was great. The breakfast was also very varied, and my family really enjoyed it. The hotel staff were also very professional and patient. They even gave us a souvenir when we left.

Next time I visit, I'll probably choose this place again. The only downside might be that you have to walk a bit to find late-night snacks, but everything else was great. The room was very spacious; there were four of us – two adults and kids aged 13 and 10. We pushed the twin beds together, and it was perfectly comfortable for sleeping. The shower water was also very nice. The breakfast was quite ample, with hot food stations. I felt the restaurant supervisor was very responsible, constantly ensuring cleaners cleared tables and the kitchen replenished food. Even with the crowds during the May Day holiday, we always found a seat during peak times. The hot food options like mini wontons and rice noodles were good. Most importantly, the location is excellent. It's literally just a two-minute walk to the corridors of Districts 3 and 2. Shopping for stationery, luggage, and outdoor gear is right outside the door. So, on our last day, before checking out, we spent another 30 minutes stocking up. For Districts 1 and 6, we drove. Although it's not very far, parking is convenient at the trade city, so we preferred to save our energy for walking inside the mall rather than trekking through District 2.

The location is a bit hard to find. The entrance is on the left next to the hotpot place, go straight to the entrance and it’s literally right behind the hotpot.
