Because Banff’s hotels are too expensive, I live in the town of Kenmore. I have a Safeway grocery shopping restaurant. I cook in the hotel and eat too much. I have a room and a room. There is a big bed in the room. There is a sofa bed with an electric stove. Large refrigerator, washing machine, large bathtub, parking in the underground garage, direct elevator to the upper floor, and a balcony for a great barbecue experience.

It was a beautiful hotel with breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere. The fresh mountain air was incredibly relaxing. The room was spotless, and the bathtub was especially comfortable. The hotel itself is in a great location to walk to restaurant and town center and looks great from the outside. It had underground parking. They were doing hallway renovations but that was not listed when booking. The photos of the place we had were misleading as the hotel room itself was pretty run down. The leather sofa is old and stained. The sofa bed was the same and very thin mattress. For 500 a night I would have expected more

The hotel is in a great location, right on Banff Avenue. The bus to the Banff Gondola and Lake Louise is near the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. However, the hotel's sound insulation is average, the air conditioner is very loud, slippers are not provided, and the facilities are not complete.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, and the kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, including a washing machine and dryer. It's very convenient for families or individuals with a car. It's close to the city center, making shopping and stocking up on food and supplies easy. The only downsides were that the swimming pool and spa were under maintenance and unavailable during my stay. The parking lot was also under maintenance on the first day, but it was operational for the following days. Overall, I would still recommend it.

I recently stayed at the Canmore Inn & Suites on Bow Valley Trail. While the property itself has potential and offers a convenient base for exploring the Rockies, my experience was significantly dampened by a factor I wasn't prepared for: a major local hockey tournament. The ”Tournament” Factor I was unaware upon booking that my stay coincided with a Canmore hockey tournament for U11 and U13 divisions. To say these teams ”took over the hotel” would be an understatement. The volume of children was overwhelming. This translated to: The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night. Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable. Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Staff and Noise Management To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups. The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes. The Room and Amenities Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight. Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament. Final Verdict The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends.

Our room was a little dated, but for the most part, it was very good. The fireplace made it that much better. If you wanted to use the stairs instead of the elevator, it was a little tricky. The staff were very nice. The only thing I was displeased with, was not being able to get any refund. We had to leave after our 2nd night of a 5 night stay. I understand that the hotel had every right not to grant the request, but even a refund for one of the three remaining nights would have been appreciated.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were some positives, a few details left me disappointed. The hotel is new and very clean, which was great to see, but unfortunately, it fell short in some areas. One glaring issue was the table soccer in the game area – it had no balls, making it completely unusable. This might seem minor, but it’s frustrating when advertised amenities are incomplete. Additionally, many of the amenities felt incompatible or poorly thought out. Whether it was the plugs, chargers, or other facilities, things just didn’t work smoothly or as expected. Overall, while the cleanliness and newness of the hotel were impressive, the lack of attention to detail with amenities made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.

The room is perfect for families as it’s spacious. The one we stayed in can accommodate up to six people, making it a great option for larger groups. Although it’s not located right in downtown Canmore, it’s only a short drive away. Our room also had a kitchen, which is perfect if you prefer to cook your own meals. Basic cooking utensils, such as pans, are provided, although some of them are a little worn and could be updated. The room itself is a little dated, and some of the chairs had damaged surfaces. It would also be better if the reception opened earlier, as it was still closed when we wanted to speak to someone at 8:15 a.m. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel has underground and ground parking. The fly in the ointment is that when you check out, you have already prepaid the room rate, and you have swiped the room rate from the credit card. I was a little nervous when I first pulled in but was instantly surprised. This little hidden gem was great for what I was needing. A safe, clean easily accessible place to stay. Though the carpet throughout is slightly dated the staff at check in and check out were polite and friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean (the floors, the bathroom and the beds). Very happy with my choice. A recommendation would be during your next renovation to remove the carpet and put in a hard type floor. a bigger go cup with liquid whitener for the to go coffee station would also be amazing. Check-in is fully automatic, the store will send you a password, take your parents out, set a loft, there is a bed upstairs, downstairs is a combed bed, a bit soft, not suitable for the elderly. The room was very clean, but stayed for three nights, every day I came to clean up the garbage, I would not sort it out, I would mind carefully. Located in downtown Canmore, about 20 minutes from Banff, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The mountain views are fantastic; our room faced east with a direct view of the Three Sisters mountains, which was beautiful. The room was new, the bedding comfortable, and the bathroom had good water pressure. It came with a fridge and coffee maker. Public areas offered a fireplace, complimentary coffee, and a sauna. The service was friendly and the staff enthusiastic. Online check-in wasn't very convenient for Chinese guests. I received an check-in link SMS five days before arriving in Canmore, but couldn't download it. I had to email the hotel to explain the situation and ended up checking in at the front desk upon arrival. The hotel is close to railway tracks, so some rooms might experience noise at night (earplugs are provided). My husband is sensitive to noise, but he said it was mostly quiet from 11 PM to 5 AM, and I didn't notice any noise at all. Next to the hotel on the west side is a bagel shop with excellent breakfast.

My wife and I traveled to Banff National Park and chose ”Rundle Chalets” in Canmore for our stay. We had a very pleasant experience staying there. Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, small but comfortable cabin with everything you need for a traveler, and all this in the midst of incredibly beautiful mountain scenery.
7.7/10

The hotel itself is in a great location to walk to restaurant and town center and looks great from the outside. It had underground parking. They were doing hallway renovations but that was not listed when booking. The photos of the place we had were misleading as the hotel room itself was pretty run down. The leather sofa is old and stained. The sofa bed was the same and very thin mattress. For 500 a night I would have expected more
