Wonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain. Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly. Fridge didn't work. TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first. Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off. No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall. It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board. That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.

The hotel is right next to the church so you can hear the bells in the morning. So the hotel is not what we imagined as modern, it should have a long history, wooden floors, and our room even the floor is tilted. Then the sun is shining, July will not fall until 9:30, the room does not have air conditioning, there is an electric fan, it is really super hot! In addition, this is a pedestrian street, the car can not drive up, so the basin friends with large luggage are not recommended. But the overall view is very good, the boss and waiter are super nice. Although the cereal for breakfast is convenient in the supermarket, the view for eating is also good. All pros and cons, see what you choose, scenery, or modernity

The hotel is so nice with a lovely staff. We even have had a little Christmas gift at our door with a Christmas card. It is a really nice gesture! As it is an old.building, the walls are thin and we could hear people from ofher rooms so if you are light sleeper bring earplugs with you (I always do that). The room has electric heater and heated the room is warm, which for me is important as I am skinny and always cold. So I could enjoy the space without being cold. We had a.great stay, would have been nice to stay for more nights.

Good location, walking distance from the old town and the train station, very convenient. The room is really small, you can sleep in the room, and you can sit down on the bed. Toiletries and slippers are not provided, but fortunately I brought it myself. The breakfast that comes with it tastes good and the coffee tastes average; If lunch or dinner is good, the price is fair. Although along the street, it is quiet at night, so you can sleep well. The room has a capsule coffee machine, and the capsule is enough.

A small hotel with a sense of age, very clean and very warm. A small garden in the yard is very beautiful. The room has no air conditioning, and the bathroom is heated for a while at night, probably to make you not cold when you take a bath. The stairs in the old house are narrow and steep, and it is a bit difficult to carry the box. Breakfast is simple, no eggs, no vegetables.

Such a convenient location, 2 minutes from the closest big supermarket, 1 minute from the nearest corner shop, 12 minutes walk from Canterbury east station, and 10 minutes from the bus station. The rooms are homely, and you don’t have to rely on eating out for food, thanks to the fully equipped kitchen downstairs, and the mini fridge in the room. It was also very nice and warm in the room, which might not sound like much, but I often find hotels cold, so this is a huge bonus for me!

The building is beautiful as is the interior. The grounds are well kept and we had a beautiful view from the bedroom window of the golf course and pond. The cleanliness of the room however was not good, windows were dirty inside with spiders on webs, dead moths stuck in the webs. Cobwebs on the walls and chandelier, spiders in the corners of the ceiling with webs in corners. The bathroom was nice but could of done with a deep clean in the corners. Bed was very comfortable but there was no headboard which I found strange for such a beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly and the food is very nice. I would go back but they need to improve the cleaning and maybe check the rooms for bugs before people check in

Immerse yourself in nature with all the luxuries! Our shepherd's hut is set in ancient bluebell woods with a resident owl, badger set, and visiting wildlife. It's off-grid yet guests will benefit from an outdoor bath / hot tub with instant hot water, indoors a hot shower, composting toilet, kitchen, super cosy wood burner stove indoors (training will be provided). There is one principal double bed (converts into a dining area for 4) and a smaller bunk above (suitable for 2 very excited smaller kids).You have private use of the shepherd's hut and facilities attached to it ie the hot tub and fire pit. The nearest pub the Rose and Crown in Stelling Minnis is a 30 min (2 mile) walk along country paths (although please be careful not to get lost on the way back if it is dark - use GPS on your phone - or - speak nicely to the landlady (Jackie) and she may arrange for someone to drive you back!Staying in the shepherd's hut will immerse you in nature as you will be off-grid and in the middle of an ancient bluebell woods. The space accommodates 2 adults easily and a bunk above can sleep an additional relatively small 2 children. The place is not suitable for 4 adults. We are 12 miles from Folkestone and 6 miles from Canterbury. Facilities provided include:Personal greeting and handover, with all training provided! Our housekeeping staff will be on hand during your stay should you need them. Great hotel in the grounds of Canterbury cathedral. We stayes in the value rooms with 40 steps to the room but it didn't feel like 40 steps, at all and not tiring. Amazing breakfast selection. Not mass buffet. Good selection to choose from, fruit yoghurt, crossaints etc plus you can choose from fried breafast, egg benedict, salom and scrambled egg, egg florentine etc are all made to order. Plus your drinks. We had a relaxing time in the lounge in the evening and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate. Free admission to the cathedral for 2 of us was a bonus. Would have cost £19.50 each. Lovely and helpful staff on reception. Will definitely stay again.

I stayed for one night while attending a friend’s baby shower nearby. The hotel was exactly what I needed – clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. Check-in was easy, and I felt well looked after. Although my stay was short, I had a pleasant experience and would happily stay here again in the future. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Great hotel in the grounds of Canterbury cathedral. We stayes in the value rooms with 40 steps to the room but it didn't feel like 40 steps, at all and not tiring. Amazing breakfast selection. Not mass buffet. Good selection to choose from, fruit yoghurt, crossaints etc plus you can choose from fried breafast, egg benedict, salom and scrambled egg, egg florentine etc are all made to order. Plus your drinks. We had a relaxing time in the lounge in the evening and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate. Free admission to the cathedral for 2 of us was a bonus. Would have cost £19.50 each. Lovely and helpful staff on reception. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is right next to the church so you can hear the bells in the morning. So the hotel is not what we imagined as modern, it should have a long history, wooden floors, and our room even the floor is tilted. Then the sun is shining, July will not fall until 9:30, the room does not have air conditioning, there is an electric fan, it is really super hot! In addition, this is a pedestrian street, the car can not drive up, so the basin friends with large luggage are not recommended. But the overall view is very good, the boss and waiter are super nice. Although the cereal for breakfast is convenient in the supermarket, the view for eating is also good. All pros and cons, see what you choose, scenery, or modernity

A standard Premier Inn... room was clean and modern, the rest of the hotel a little tired but for the price and what I expected it was totally fine. An easy stroll into Canterbury, but you do need to walk through an underpass which some people may find problematic esp. late at night, but I am sure it's safe. WiFi is throttled to encourage you to upgrade... not a fan of this.

The hotel is so nice with a lovely staff. We even have had a little Christmas gift at our door with a Christmas card. It is a really nice gesture! As it is an old.building, the walls are thin and we could hear people from ofher rooms so if you are light sleeper bring earplugs with you (I always do that). The room has electric heater and heated the room is warm, which for me is important as I am skinny and always cold. So I could enjoy the space without being cold. We had a.great stay, would have been nice to stay for more nights.

This hotel is in a good location convenient to visit the famous tourist attractions.  However the bathroom is so tiny you can hardly turn around or space to put personal toiletry items.  There’s no Do not disturb sign, we got woken by by cleaner knocking the door around 9 ish very annoying.   Will not recommend this hotel.

When you stay at the hotel, you need to pick up the keys at another hotel, 300 meters away. No one informs me. I stood at the door of this hotel for 20 minutes and the hotel did not have any staff. It feels very bad.

We had a pleasant stay at Travelodge Canterbury. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed after a day of exploring. The location is very convenient. It’s within walking distance of Canterbury city centre, so we didn’t need to drive to visit Canterbury Cathedral, explore the historic streets, or enjoy the local restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. One thing to note is that there is no lift, so if you’re travelling with heavy luggage or have limited mobility, it’s worth requesting a ground-floor room if possible. Overall, Travelodge Canterbury offers great value for money and is an excellent base for exploring this beautiful historic city.
