The Taj Cormandel was a fantastic hotel and stay for us on our recent trip to Chennai. We were made welcome from the minute we stepped out of the cab. All staff are very helpful and friendly but Amit from the Chipstead deserves a special mention for his outstanding customer service and welcoming manner. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Housekeeping and services were top notch, plentiful large towels and hot water, plus some housekeeping surprises we enjoyed on our stay. Breakfasts were buffet style with lots of choice and culinary types, service was very well organised and any special breakfast requests delivered to your table.   Choice of restaurants for having dinner and a lounge for drinks and cocktails.  Swimming pool with outside loungers and fitness room are on the lower ground area of the hotel. Towels provided. Would recommend a stay here.

Service was good at the reception. Facilities are excellent, with everything needed. Food at breakfast spread was sufficient and satisfying. The control pad in the room was functioning well. Welcome titbits was a great way to start when I arrived. Coffee maker with pods was easy to operate and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee in the morning! Room was clean and with clean linen. Bathroom was very clean. Shower pressure and heat was good. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner was nice. Newly renovated. Kindly maintain regularly to have the high standards, The Residency Towers! Had a wonderful stay and a restful sleep throughout the night.

We stayed at Trident for 2 nights. They added an extra bed for our child, so the room was very comfortable. Rooms are solid, there are some flaws, and they are not new, but the hotel is excellent, and the service is extraordinary. Breakfast is a must, don't skip it as it is wonderful.

The hotel's location is superb, within walking distance of the LIC metro station and the large shopping mall EA Avenue. The staff provided excellent service, explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. A great bonus for environmentally conscious guests is the reusable glass water bottles provided in the rooms – a commendable effort to reduce plastic waste in the hospitality industry. The hotel's buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and good quality food, ensuring even non-local guests (whose bodies might not be accustomed to Indian cuisine for every meal) can enjoy their dining experience with various cuisines available. Additionally, the hotel's rooftop restaurant boasts a fantastic ambiance and serves a selection of Asian dishes. While some might not be entirely authentic (for instance, the Tom Yum Goong shown in the picture wasn't a perfect balance of sour, spicy, and salty, with the salty flavor being more prominent), I believe these are adjustments made to cater to local preferences, such as increasing the salt content in dishes to compensate for the hot weather and increased perspiration.

This place has some inconveniences for foreigners. There's no refrigerator, no indoor slippers, no shower in the bathroom, no toothpaste, and no hairdryer. Cleanliness: The floor was dusty and dirty, but the sheets and pillows were clean. Location, Accessibility: It's close to the center of T-Nagar, making it easy to get around. There's a McDonald's nearby, but it closes at midnight. Restaurants and small shops in the area also close before 12 AM. Staff Service: Not bad. The card-operated door has a damaged outer casing.

I didn't have a pleasant experience the moment I stepped in. Took a flight from Dubai and arrived around 10pm. There was an event going on and the whole place was blasted with loud music. As you can see from the photo, it was open concept and music was loud even to 8th floor ! But fortunately, once door closed, it was quiet. Many areas were lacking but the hotel personnel were very sincere to make amends. The hotel had many small touches which made my stay comfortable. Overall, it was good stay!

Overall trip was good. if you are the type wanting a little privacy and not to be disturbed every now and then, yes this is the place for you. The hotel location is near to T.Nagar, Vijaya Forum Mall which makes commuting less troublesome. The only downside of the location that is facing a main road with U turn for both direction. Expect some heavy road traffic. Both Early check in and late check outs are chargeable. Rooms are decent. Housekeeping is 2 days once. You have to ask for what you want i.e water, amenities top up . Food at Qmin is fair. Buffet is pretty standard throughout the stay. Manager is attentive to guests.

Simple hotel with basic necessities covered. The decor of the hotel features vintage Bollywood posters and the hotel used to be a film set. Comfortable and aesthetic, with lots of international restaurants nearby. Infront of the hotel there is also lots of shopping opportunities available! Nice and affordable!
