Review: The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort & Spa Date of stay: May 12-14, 2025 I had the opportunity to stay at The Legend Chiang Rai for 2 nights and I must say that I was impressed with every aspect of my stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in Lanna style, giving me a relaxing feeling from the first step I took. The surrounding atmosphere was quiet, surrounded by trees and by the Kok River, making it really suitable for relaxation. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The food in the resort's restaurant was delicious, especially the local dishes that were cooked to perfection. The swimming pool overlooked the Kok River, with a shady atmosphere and sofas for sitting and relaxing. You could see the sunset beautifully. Most importantly, all the staff were smiling, polite, and warmly welcoming and very attentive. Conclusion: This resort is suitable for families, couples, or anyone looking for a quiet place to relax in Chiang Rai. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with a great atmosphere and excellent service in Chiang Rai, I highly recommend this place. You will definitely want to come back again.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at Phowadol resort and Spa. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We arrived 5 hours before check in, hoping to just drop our bags off, but they got a room sorted for us within the hour. The pool was well maintained and the gym had all the equipment you’d need with air conditioning. The pictures don’t do the rooms justice, we were in a tree house with a wrap around balcony. Not an issue for us, as we rented moped’s from the resort, but it’s a 10 minute drive to the town centre.

The bathroom is so dirty that there are black stains all over the walls. The bidet nozzle should be changed immediately. I didn't dare to use it. I accidentally picked it up. At first, I didn't look and when I touched it, I felt ewww!!! It's so dirty. But the location of the accommodation is good, but it's far from the Sunday walking street. If you have a private car, it's easy to travel. The bedroom is good. There are lots of pillows. The refrigerator has ice cubes that never melt.

Room was clean, there were coffee and bottled water as welcome drink. Kettle to use was very nice to make coffee or tea anytime. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Our room had the view of the blue temple. In the morning could hear birds singing, which was very nice. Really liked the service area attached to the room which had a sink like in a kitchen, we could wash the cups and the fruits we got at the market. The downside was the internet connection which was insecure and very unstable inside the room, under the bathroom sink there was water dripping all the time so the bathroom trash can was being used as a bucket to keep the drip from wetting the floor. Also, there was stain on the bath towels. In spite of these downsides we had a nice staying

The room was clean and modern, and complimentary coffee and tea were provided. They also offered convenient luggage storage both before check-in and after check-out. The location was excellent, with plenty of shops and eateries within walking distance. The only downside was that only two complimentary bottles of water were provided once, with no refills. I ended up buying a liter bottle of water to refill the smaller ones myself.

Excellent location, I walked from the Chiang Rai bus terminal and the staff who greeted me were very friendly, they help with information and booking tours and transportation. The cleanliness is impeccable, they have a cafeteria and work area, on the terrace there is a large space to rest and it is beautiful surrounded by plants, they provided me with all the toiletries, the space is very cozy.

Booked a room through the app, got a discount of over a hundred baht from the original stay without booking through the app. The room was a superior room, spacious, had a refrigerator, air conditioning, 1 large bed, clothes hangers, a dressing mirror, and a TV but it didn't work. Before I could sleep, I had to change rooms because the toilet flush didn't have strong water pressure. The first flush didn't have strong water pressure. I had to wait a long time for the next time, so I asked to change rooms. The staff at the counter provided good service and changed the room immediately.

Booked this hotel for my girlfriend as she was attending a wedding held there. The staff were super friendly and helpful—they really did their best to make sure guests had a great time. The view from the room was beautiful and definitely worth the price. Breakfast at the hotel had a lot of options, which was a nice surprise. There’s also a café just nearby and the food there was amazing—highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. Overall, a great stay with good vibes, good service, and great food. The Heritage's location is good. It's not as close to the Night Bazaar as other Chiang Rai hotels we've stayed in but is on the main Highway #1 and a short drive from that area, and it is very convenient — almost walking distance, and a 1-2 minute drive on the Highway 1 service lane to Central Plaza, which has excellent shopping and eating options. The hotel has nicely designed, spacious rooms with the best shower we've experienced in a local hotel. There is a very attractive, well maintained pool with a fitness center adjacent to it with modern Life Fitness gear and assorted free weights (though I missed being able to use a lat pulldown). A pleasant young staff member was functioning as kind of a combined pool attendant and fitness trainer, and overall the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was not included in out room rate, but it was worth paying extra for, as it was one of the better breakfast buffets we've had in Chiang Rai, a city we visit often, as we live in the next province to the south.

This is one of the highly rated hotels. The furnishings and furniture are made of high quality materials, and although the building is old, it is well maintained. I think the food at the restaurant on the first floor is among the best in Chiang Rai. It was a shame that the pool was not available due to flooding on the neighboring Kok side. The Blue Temple is within a short walking distance.

Everything was amazing at the hotel, the staff is super nice and always willing to help you. The room is spacious and super clean. Also a plus, you have free drinking water everyday in your room and also a snack. The rooftop bar is great for sunsets and the food at the restaurant is delicious! The only two downside for me is that around the hotel you don't have restaurant options but you can always get a Grab. And also the breakfast is ok.

Overall, I am quite satisfied. Because it is a resort design, when you enter the hotel lobby from the roadside, there is a large open space and a small garden, which makes you feel relatively quiet. After all, the age is there, and the facilities are relatively old. Perhaps based on the reviews of guests, the bathroom is in better condition than expected this time, with no mold or old stains; however, the sound of the air conditioner and bathroom exhaust are relatively loud. . I had a very pleasant one-night stay in Room 304. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I especially appreciated the complimentary minibar in my room, as well as the free drinks and snacks available in the cozy lobby lounge. The hotel also offers free bicycle and a convenient coin laundry service. The location is excellent—within walking distance of many popular attractions, including the Night Bazaar, Clock Tower, Kad Luang local market, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Ming Muang, fruit/agricultural market and bus station where you can take a free guided city tour tram ride.
