We were first given a room with a view on the bar and swimming pool, just next to the second floor open terrace which was awful in terms of privacy. Fortunately we were changed to a room on the far East of the old building and the view as fantastic.. the room was old but well maintained. The problem was the terrace door was not sound proof and we learnt at night how bothersome it would be. Because you see, our room was just above the restaurant that gives directly to the sea where waves crash on the rocks. Impossible to have a quiet night. Light sleepers better choose a room in the swimming pool area. Food was ok. Service as everywhere in SriLanka was slow and not very responsive. You had to ask twice for hot water or something. We expected more for a 5 stars. We tried the restaurant next to the spa on our last night and service was great there. The pizza at the pizza restaurant next to the pool was very good. Location of the hotel was great, a 5 min by tuktuk to the castle. Unfortunately, everything was almost perfect until the day we left. We realized the hotel has a monopoly on all the taxi and tuktuk that come and leave the hotel. As I couldn't book a car on Uber or kangaroo cab, we just asked a driver who just dropped a group of people if we could hire him and he was ok but the hotel staff interrupted us and sent him away because they asked us to choose from their drivers which was completely absurd. We insisted on using this driver so they entered in a negotiation with the driver to get a cut on the fees. Apparently these are common practices in 5 star hotels. A total mafia style management. Outrageous. And in the hotel room, you have a biography of the founder that highlight his ambition to highlight Sri Lankan hospitality. I encourage him to take a look in the mirror. For that I would not recommend this place, especially during winter vacation when prices are half a grand for 2 nights!

The stay in the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The hotel layout is just beautiful with the open architecture and view of the Galle fortress. The rooms we had were very spacious even for suites. Lovely bathroom, living area, garden, lots of places to rest. We did not use the pool but it looked nice. The hotel is a short distance from the fort so you can walk there and enjoy it while being away from the business. The beds were comfortable and you only hear the ocean, not the street noise. I would give 6 stars if possible.

Charming hotel in the heart of Galle Fort. All the staff are very polite and attentive, always with a big smile on their faces. A boutique hotel in a colonial style. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Modern bathroom with shower. The courtyard makes you feel completely relaxed and peaceful. It is definitely a hotel to recommend and would love to stay with again. The value for money is excellent. The whole area maintains a colonial atmosphere, with countless restaurants and souvenir shops. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I really like this one. The mansion of the legendary Dutch navy general has only a dozen rooms. There is no noisy feeling in other hotels and it is very quiet. They are all flat, with a large courtyard in the middle, which is very comfortable. Each room is extremely large and decorated with a sense of history. The beds are oversized and estimated to be 2.2 meters. The dining was good and the waiters were polite. I just met them for Chinese New Year, and in the evening I greeted everyone to go to the yard to set off fireworks.

The house is very high-class and simple, and the natural ecological environment makes people feel comfortable. Just prepare the anti-mosquito liquid and close the door easily. The overall design of the house designed by the landlord is artistic and the details are attentive, clean and refreshing, especially the open open-air bathroom is impressive! After six days of fatigue, I took a super refreshing bath, refreshing! Unfortunately, there was a temporarily blackout in the middle of the night, and it was pitch black, and for some reason the smell of gasoline was just in the room. Other than that, it was comfortable!

Due to the rainy weather down south I changed my plans to go to Tangalle and stay a couple of extra days at Fort Bazaar and enjoyed the spa and walking around Galle. Double room with 2 beds on the ground floor, rather dark, unfortunately full of cracks and therefore full of mosquitoes, air conditioning somewhat unreliable, mosquito nets for both beds more like a cloth coffin feeling... No kettle, room rather cramped, cleanliness okay, shower with good water pressure and warm, breakfast plentiful and delicious (coffee/tea, juice, a plate full of fruit, fried egg or omelette with sausages, toast with jam all you can eat, really absolutely delicious!

We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea. They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service. They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight. The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests. The staff doesn't speak Russian (except for one person), but that's not an issue with the restaurants around the hotel, where many people, including taxi drivers, understand Russian. We really enjoyed everything. It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices. You'll find currency exchange offices everywhere; the rates are a bit lower than at the airport, but not by much. We truly loved our stay and will definitely be back, maybe with our kids next time. P.S. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Naveen, one of the restaurant staff members. He's a very pleasant, smiling, and responsive guy who went out of his way to make every guest comfortable. We were very impressed with his service.

The alley is very deep, the hotel has a TukTuk car, otherwise you can't get out; the ecology is very good, you can see monkeys, squirrels, four-legged snakes when you open the door, there will be geckos in the room after rain, haha; the room is an open-air bathroom and toilet, I was worried about washing half of the monkeys and jumping off. Haha; Looking up is the stars and fireflies; meals and prices, during the Chinese New Year, are reasonable; but, the platform is said to be a twin room, and after the hotel is repeatedly confirmed, it is still a big bed; forget it, just one night, an extra bed is equivalent to more than 100 yuan; The reply was also very fast. The two people came in with a solid wooden single bed. The mattress and bedding were worthy of the price and quite comfortable. This is the best hotel in all Sri Lanka!!! Kitchen, service, privacy, location - all on the height! In the hotel only 30 rooms, people are not, even with full load, you are as if you are alone! Pleasant uncrowded beaches with a pleasant ocean. You can walk on the shore on duty. The hotel feeds on the menu, each dish is an art piece. Butler is doing whatever you wish. Take the hotel for breakfast and didn't regret, dinner paid themselves, they are more expensive than in restaurants on the street, but such a kitchen you won't find anywhere else! A chic wine card! We had a truly wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and the fresh juices served upon arrival were very refreshing after the journey. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, spacious, and well equipped with all the luxury amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere throughout the resort had a relaxing beachside vibe, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also used the gym, which was properly equipped with a good range of equipment. The resort has two swimming pools, and we spent most of our time at the main pool, which was absolutely massive and perfect for relaxing. The highlight of the stay was definitely the food experience. The dinner buffet was exceptional with an incredible variety of dishes. There were large selections of salads, appetizers, breads and buns, Sri Lankan specialties, international cuisine, and live cooking stations. The seafood and meat variety was especially impressive — including chicken, beef, pork, cuttlefish, prawns, fish, and many other seafood dishes, with multiple preparations for each. My personal favorite was the pork leg, which was incredibly delicious, tender, and flavorful. The dessert corner was huge, offering plenty of choices and beautifully presented sweets. After a very comfortable night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, and honestly, it was just as impressive as dinner. The breakfast buffet included a massive spread with salad stations, bakery items, fresh fruits, Sri Lankan and international breakfast options, live stations, and an amazing juice bar with around 7–8 varieties of fresh juices. They also had a dedicated cheese section, multiple yogurt options, and even 4–5 types of porridges, which was something unique and very well done. Overall, Heritance Ahungalla offers a fantastic combination of luxury, comfort, delicious food, and relaxing coastal ambience. Everything from the service to the dining and facilities was excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway in Sri Lanka! 🌴✨

This hotel is the most impressive and satisfying one in the entire Sri Lankan itinerary. It completely exceeded expectations and surpassed the other two heritage hotels in my heart. The hotel has only 4 rooms with English-style butler service. It is very quiet and can provide better services. You can choose the breakfast you want according to your own taste (there are local style, Western European style and various options). You can tell the housekeeper the meal time and food the day before, and the next morning will be specially made for you and delivered to the room or in the room. Номер большой, немного подубитый, но в целом неплохо. администратор Люк Оперативно решал бытовые вопросы (не было горячей воды / не работал холодильник, но все быстро решилось). Есть красивый бассейн и лежаки. Рядом пару продуктовых магазинов и пару местных кафе с едой. Фрукты дорогие , лучше ехать подальше за ними. Фонари по дороге не горят. Отель закрывают на ночь в 22:00, наверное , это правильно в целях безопасности. Отель рекомендую.

A beautiful panoramic pool, a cozy area on the lawn with chiselling and gams under palm trees at the very shore for full relaxation and adoration of sunsets. We have included in addition to breakfast and dinner. Beautiful feed, large portions and very delicious. Near a big supermarket, a mask museum. Also not far walk to the city where you can buy fruit. For the fans of a lonely romantic holiday next to a beautiful beach I recommend! I would be happy to return again.

Needless to say jetwing, Lanka's high-end resort hotel brand. Although this is a franchise store and not a direct store, it uses its management team and its products. Small details need to be strengthened. A lot of food is shipped from the lighthouse hotel next to it, so the service time is relatively long, there is no bathtub, and the water output is slightly smaller. The manager is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The other waiters are less experienced in internships and have poor English communication skills. Overall it is good, the environment has nothing to say, the quiet and private is generally satisfactory.

The last stop of this Sri Lanka trip was full of praise! Originally because of the mistake of Trip.com , I missed the pool room type. After I found out, I was very anxious. The hotel manager was very patient and actively helped to communicate and coordinate after learning about the situation. Finally, the problem was properly solved and let us stay smoothly. More heartwarming, the hotel also gave an extra breakfast and dinner for the third person, the service was warm and intimate, and the details were full. All the staff are friendly, the service is thoughtful, the environment is clean and comfortable, the whole beach is private, the children are super happy, and they really feel the warmth and kindness of Sri Lanka, which draws a perfect end to this trip. A decent hotel with a good beach and responsive staff. A beautiful view from the room (if you take the ocean view). From the downsides - the road passes right behind the hotel. Although the hotel and the beach are fenced, the noise is heard, especially lying on the beach ... interrupts even the noise of the slot. But this is a problem as I understand the whole south-west coast.. On the day of departure was early check-out, staff had prepared breakfast. and gave it with them.

The hotel's exterior looked new, and the room was very clean. We received guava juice as a welcome drink during check-in. The staff was incredibly polite, and I was very satisfied. (Though there was a gecko in my room, lol.)

We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea. They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service. They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight. The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests. The staff doesn't speak Russian (except for one person), but that's not an issue with the restaurants around the hotel, where many people, including taxi drivers, understand Russian. We really enjoyed everything. It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices. You'll find currency exchange offices everywhere; the rates are a bit lower than at the airport, but not by much. We truly loved our stay and will definitely be back, maybe with our kids next time. P.S. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Naveen, one of the restaurant staff members. He's a very pleasant, smiling, and responsive guy who went out of his way to make every guest comfortable. We were very impressed with his service.

Overall, we liked the hotel. Located in the small CoCobay Bay. Around the silence, only disrupted by the noise of waves, constantly rolling on the shore. The hotel is small - only 16 rooms, so the situation is chamber, almost family. Guests have a measured pace of rest - breakfast, beach, afternoon rest and beach again. In the evening dinner on the menu. And if breakfast in the hotel is modest and uniform, the kitchen is able to surprise at dinner. The main dish is distinct from a beautiful feed and always delicious. And the menu every day is new. The rooms are large, all with ocean view. The air conditioner works well. You get tired of the sun even in the shadow, so you enjoy the room at noon. Hotel is mainly for family couples and families with children. Some parents pay for children's surfing lessons here because compared to other beaches here, the soft wave is not deep. The surfing board can be rented here at the hotel. Another plus hotel - there are no sellers of all kinds. The lying vacationers are closely monitored. You can leave a phone in the bag and go swimming, and go back to the Internet, lying on a cheeslong There is a minus that is not noticed - a river falls in the ocean next to the hotel and after the rain it carries brown water in it. So clean and transparent water you will not see here. And here on the main beach in Unawatun water is just a pleasant blue-turquoise color. Maybe in the dry season the water in CoCoBay Bay looks different, but we were in October and rains went here every day.

The stay in the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The hotel layout is just beautiful with the open architecture and view of the Galle fortress. The rooms we had were very spacious even for suites. Lovely bathroom, living area, garden, lots of places to rest. We did not use the pool but it looked nice. The hotel is a short distance from the fort so you can walk there and enjoy it while being away from the business. The beds were comfortable and you only hear the ocean, not the street noise. I would give 6 stars if possible.

The room I was originally given was close to the street and was very noisy. Later, I was given a room close to the sea, and the beach was right outside the door🏖. Of course, I only stayed for two nights and left early. The room was large and nice, with sufficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The only problem was that the hot water was not hot enough for this generation of hotels. It was probably warm water. I hoped I wouldn't catch a cold after taking a shower. I was quite happy staying there.

Very close to the beach, the day before the hotel was very late at about nine o'clock, I fell asleep directly. I woke up in the morning and saw the blue sky and sea. I was in a very good mood. There seem to be many Russians in the hotel, and the restaurant also specially put a Russian menu. My favorite is the early morning pool, the private venue, casual swimming, the deepest is about two meters, great. The breakfast is also very good, except for the local curry, I can accept it, the papaya is very sweet. Be sure to stay for two more days next time.

Hello. Me and my partner checked in on 18 of February in the hotel. Let me start with the good things. Breakfast is good. Quality of the products is good, but lack of cheese. Would be nice having at least one type. Stuff is friendly. Especially the one on the swimming pool Cons Lack of hot water. Enough for quick shower for one person.. We started to call them to fix the problem.. Could not even react to the reception!! Nobody was picking the phone before 21.00. Next day we should remind them again to check inside the room, not only outside. Unfortunately.. Problem was not fixed.. And we should be mega fast taking shower or wait long time.. Imagine if this is family of 4. First day bedsheet was dirty. Overall hotel is nice but hope they can pay more attention on managing it better. Also not so important, but I guess because of the wet weather. See the pics belpw
