There was only a thin sheet on the bed and no quilt, so I had to cover myself with a bath towel when I slept at night.

A little cocoon and peaceful retreat that really started our holiday on the right note. The team at front desk is super sweet and very helpful. My room was very nice. Had a great view of the ocean. My bathroom had a health faucet leak but it wasn't a make or break situation. Bed was comfy. Since the hotel was empty, they didn't have a buffet breakfast but a la carte. Decent options. We loved their in room dining services. They got us ice, glasses etc within no time. Private beach is an added advantage because it's very quiet and once can just be here without thinking much. Sea was rough so we didn't venture much but was happy to laze here all day. Location is ideal because its in between Ahangama and Welligama. Will I come back again: Absolutely yes. This time will take the Ocean suite as it was a lovely room size.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in Sri Lanka and I’m still thinking about it. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The service throughout my stay was top-notch—always attentive and with a smile. The highlight for me was definitely the view; it’s absolutely stunning and creates such a peaceful atmosphere. If you’re looking for a calm and quiet getaway to fall in love with, this is the place. The rooms were spotless and very well-maintained. Also, having access to a private, clean beach made the experience so much more relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

The staff at this hotel were brilliant and really did try to help us enjoy our stay however the facilities that they were given to work with were just insufficient. We booked a double room and a twin room and the ‘twin room’ turned out to just be a double bed with a camp bed next to it. When we asked about this, the staff were incredibly helpful and offered to move a proper single bed into the room. The bed linens and towels were all dirty and stained and when we requested new ones, they also arrived stained and dirty. The doors to enter the room are incredibly flimsy and did not leave me feeling safe as I felt that anyone could have just kicked them down despite them being locked. The bathrooms in both rooms were outdated and not up to standard. The double room had a bath with broken taps and a shower hose attached to the taps that supposedly equates to a ‘shower’. There was no shower screen so you had to sit in the bath and hold the shower hose to wash as you couldn’t even run a bath. The shower in the twin room wasn’t much better. The water oscillated between boiling hot and freezing cold so you couldn’t stay under it for more than a few seconds. Upon arrival there were four power cuts within the first hour. This is understandable as the hotel manager said that this was out of their control and was down to the grid however this might just be something to keep in mind. The beach area is lovely and private and has kayaks and a volleyball net to play with. The pool however is much smaller than it appears on the photos and there is an extensive list of rules next to it that outline rules like ‘no playing’. It isn’t big enough to properly swim in either so was quite disappointing. The facilities they offer were also not up to standard. There was a pool table but the cues didn’t have tips so you couldn’t use it. The room with the ping pong table didn’t have air conditioning so you could only stay in there for a few minutes. The gym only had an exercise bike. The food was also disappointing. The cooked breakfast was stone cold and the options were incredibly limited. The dinner wasn’t very nice at all and was extremely expensive for what we were given. The last thing I would like to mention is that I did not feel safe in the room. During the night I heard banging on the balcony window followed by what sounded like a lock clicking and being fiddled with. Once I sat up and turned on my phone light it stopped. I can’t be certain that there was anybody there as I didn’t actually see anyone but I was sufficiently frightened. I wasn’t going to mention this but after reading other reviews with similar complaints I thought I would mention it. We booked for 4 nights but ended up leaving after just 1 night. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all despite the staff being lovely and really helpful.

We spent three beautiful days here. Though I’ve stayed at many hotels before, this is the only place that truly felt like a home away from home for our family. When booking, we secured an even better rate than expected—all arranged effortlessly through a single phone call! Upon arrival, the reception staff welcomed us with such warmth, and check-in took less than five minutes. Since the hotel wasn’t crowded during our stay, they upgraded one of our two rooms to a panoramic suite (higher category). Even though we’d forgotten to request adjoining rooms, they thoughtfully placed them side by side. The rooms were stunningly designed, spotlessly clean, and the beds? Pure comfort! Located just 5-6 meters from the ocean, lying in bed made us feel like we were floating mid-sea. Stepping onto the balcony was pure magic watching waves crash against rocks, sunlight glinting off foam like "liquid diamonds," paired perfectly with a glass of wine or beer. The staff treated us like family. My daughter cried when we left, heartbroken to say goodbye. Their year round private beach ,calm, swimmable waters adds immense value to the property. A heartfelt thank you to Manager Mr. Indika, my friend Sudesh, and the entire team for giving us the best vacation of our lives. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Horrible hotel! Sea water comes inside, the room , elevator not working, no plug points to charge, no buffet food , horrible breakfast , slippery floors, poor hygiene. They need to get their act together and improve their hotel before taking their customers.

The location and beach of this property are amazing ! And that is basically it. Such a nice property but so understaffed and unmaintained. The rooms are not maintained with anenities and fixtures that do not work properly, the cleaning standards are realy poor, the beds are so uncomfortable. The service is also realy bad. Not worth the money !

Fantastic beachside escape with spectacular views, friendly service, and an overall relaxing atmosphere. Located right on the coast, the hotel provides breathtaking views of the ocean from nearly every corner. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast on the balcony or relaxing by the pool, the panoramic view of the waves crashing against the shore makes the experience unforgettable. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making your visit as pleasant as possible. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone goes out of their way to provide excellent service and helpful recommendations. The rooms could use some TLC, spacious, but they feel in need to a bit of maintenance. It's still a great place to spend a couple of days.
