We stayed in an ocean view room. It was very close to the sea, and the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning. I think it was one of the ocean view rooms with the best views, being so close to the ocean. I'm very grateful that we were allocated this particular room. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which made our stay enjoyable. The location was also excellent, close to the Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki. The only downsides were that there was no explanation about the resort points we were supposed to receive as part of our stay. Also, we booked three rooms for six people, but due to their system, we could only process payment for one room at a time. This meant I couldn't use the same credit card for the second room and had to scramble. I'd recommend bringing enough credit cards for each room you book. These two minor issues were a bit disappointing, so I deducted one star from the service rating.

Good value for money, definitely worth staying again. The staff were very kind. The building is old but that wasn't an issue. The bath is fine for one person, but a bit cramped and difficult if you're bathing with a child. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent location.

The Pacific Marina Inn Airport is only suited for travelers needing a practical, budget-friendly option near HNL, especially for overnight or layover stays. It's not luxurious, but it delivers on convenience, friendly service, and basic comforts. However, if you're seeking a longer stay, a more polished experience, or better access to attractions like Waikiki, you may want to explore options elsewhere.

Waikiki Honolulu|3.84km from city center
I recently stayed at this hotel in the Penthouse and, overall, had a pleasant stay. However, there were several areas where the guest experience could be improved. Pros: * The location is convenient, with Waikiki Beach approximately a 15-minute walk away. * There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, although I would recommend making reservations in advance as many are very popular. * There are numerous ABC Stores nearby, making it easy to pick up snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and other essentials. * A special mention goes to Ralph, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was friendly, approachable, and always happy to help with any questions or recommendations. He quickly became our go-to person whenever we needed assistance and is a real credit to the hotel. Cons: * Upon arrival, we were not offered the welcome drink that other guests appeared to receive. We checked in shortly after 3:00 pm, yet we saw guests arriving at around 9:30 pm the previous evening being offered welcome drinks. It was disappointing that this was not provided consistently. * We were never informed that the hotel offers complimentary beach umbrellas and chairs on a first come, first served basis. We ended up purchasing our own before accidentally overhearing another member of staff explain this benefit during another guest’s check-in. * Similarly, we only discovered that the hotel offers a complimentary walking tour after overhearing a different staff member mention it to another guest. It would have been helpful if all guests were informed about the activities and amenities available during check-in. * We booked the Penthouse expecting to fully enjoy the advertised 90-degree views. While the views themselves were excellent, the balcony was much smaller than expected and not really large enough to comfortably sit and enjoy them. * The bathroom, particularly the bathtub, felt dated and would benefit from refurbishment. * The room itself is showing its age and could do with a modern refresh. * The breakfast room is exceptionally small considering the number of guests staying at the hotel. During busy periods it becomes crowded and difficult to find seating. * One morning, a guest was allowed to bring a dog into the enclosed, air-conditioned breakfast room. To my understanding, this is not permitted under Hawaii law unless the animal is a legitimate service animal, and it made the dining experience uncomfortable. * The Skyline floor cannot be accessed using the elevator on the far left, which was inconvenient and not clearly explained. * At check-in, a $200 deposit was authorised along with an additional hold on my credit card. This extra charge was never explained by staff, and I only became aware of it after reviewing my credit card statement. Greater transparency regarding incidental holds would have been appreciated. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with helpful staff, especially Ralph, and provides a comfortable base for exploring Waikiki. However, there were several inconsistencies in communication and a number of facilities that would benefit from updating. Better communication during check-in about available amenities, clearer explanations of credit card holds, and refurbishment of the rooms would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

The location is great! Just cross one intersection and you're at the beach, and there's also a place where you can book activities. The room came with water cups that you can take to refill water, which was very convenient. There was a welcome drink. The room was cleaned daily. The only downside was the poor soundproofing. The first time we were assigned a room by the elevator, we could hear people walking outside and a party happening on a rooftop nearby.

Except that the price is a bit expensive, everything else is satisfactory! Since it is a timeshare vacation club hotel, the suites basically come with a kitchen and all Western cooking utensils, everything you need! There is also a washing machine and dryer. The seaside environment is beautiful, the climate is pleasant, and the scenery is everywhere. The hotel faces its own lagoon (lagoon), which is very comfortable for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling (the sea water is a bit cold now, so you need a little courage when you first go into the sea! It will be fine in a while!). The three outdoor swimming pools are suitable for children to the elderly to play and swim, and are equipped with hot water massage pools and saunas (dry steam, wet steam). In short, this hotel is very suitable for couples, couples, second and third generations to travel together! In addition, there is a difference between sea view rooms and mountain view rooms, but they can also be balanced by spending more time outdoors. It is recommended that friends who have been to Waikiki Beach in Honolulu give this place a try, you will definitely have a different feeling!

Fabulous boutique hotel. Thought of all the little things to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Staff were very polite and friendly. Great shower pressure, bed was comfortable and air con fantastic. We had a room on the 3rd floor and unfortunately we could smell one of the burger restaurants frying food each morning, which was not pleasant. Not the hotels fault, but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re given a lower floor. Rooftop pool is small but a nice extra if you don’t fancy the beach. Close to everything; restaurants, shops, beach. Would definitely stay again!

Because we cancelled our trip to the Big Island and decided to have an in-depth tour of Oahu instead, we chose to extend our stay. The surrounding environment is really nice. The hotel is a little over a 10-minute walk from the beach, which is pretty convenient overall. Located at the start of Waikiki Beach, to the left you'll find Waikiki Beach and the shopping street, and to the right is Ala Moana, the largest outdoor mall – all within walking distance. Picture 1 shows the bus stop in front of the mall. I used Uber these past few days, so I didn't get to experience the public bus. In front of the hotel is the Hilton lagoon (Picture 2), which is great for kids to play in, as the sand on Waikiki Beach can be a bit coarse. As for the hotel's interior, it's pretty much what you'd expect from an older property. There's a laundry room on the second floor where you can get ice and drinking water. There's also a very small pool. The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely that they don't charge a resort fee.

The view here is absolutely stunning; it's the main reason to go! The Diamond Head and ocean views are incredible, something you wouldn't typically find at a 4-star hotel. However, what was disappointing was that housekeeping only came every two days, and while they replaced the towels, it seemed they didn't change the bed sheets. I noticed a stain on the duvet before leaving, and when I returned after housekeeping, the duvet looked tidy, but the stain was still in the exact same spot. Parking cost about $290 for 5 days, and since it's valet, you also have to tip when you get your car, which can be an extra burden. If that's an issue for you, I'd recommend looking for free parking nearby. I just opted for valet because I didn't want the hassle. Waikiki is less than a 10-minute walk away, and most of the staff were very friendly.

The hotel has over the last couple of years been refurbished by new owners. The pool area is now better maintained and has dedicated staff who are present at all times. The pool is large snd nicely situated. The point of difference is the shade provided by numerous umbrellas and some shade trees. There is also bar and food service to your deckchair. The rooms are midsized suitable for two people and have a good sized lanai. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom is compact with shower over bath. Room lighting is dimmable and kettle available upon request. A safe is provided. A criticism would be the small fridge, 6 cans, a milk and a couple of yoghurts is about it. This is the best budget end hotel in Waikiki but budget still unfortunately isn't cheap these days. Overall an enjoyable stay with pool crew being the icing on the cake.

This was a wonderful hotel! I think it offers great value for money. First off, the room was a two-room suite with a separate living room and bedroom. The two double beds were spacious and comfortable. The mini-kitchen had a sink, kettle, microwave, and refrigerator. The bathroom had a standard American-style shower and a shallow bathtub. Toothbrushes were not provided. The breakfast menu didn't change much day-to-day, but the custom-made omelets were delicious. It can get a bit crowded around 9 AM on weekends, but it's manageable. During happy hour in the evening, guests received two complimentary alcoholic drinks per person per day. Two of the cocktails could also be made non-alcoholic. In addition, there was a free drink bar and snacks (crackers and vegetables like cucumbers and celery), which were perfect for a light bite. We were also allowed to bring our own food, so we often enjoyed takeout from nearby while sipping our happy hour drinks. The happy hour and breakfast venue is the same, located poolside. This would be great for families with children, as they can enjoy the pool while taking advantage of happy hour. They also provide beach towels by the poolside for guests heading to the beach or pool. Incidentally, we arrived at the hotel before noon this time, having taken an ANA flight. We were able to check in early without an early check-in fee! (Perhaps because it was off-peak season?) This was incredibly helpful as we were sleep-deprived. Waikiki Beach is about a 5-minute walk through the Sheraton. It felt a bit confusing to find at first, but once we got used to it, it was no problem. The nearest W LINE bus stop is just over a 5-minute walk away. It's a minor detail but wasn't an issue. Right in front of the hotel is an ABC STORE DELI, which operates from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM and also serves fast food, making it very convenient. Although our room wasn't ocean view, we could see the ocean from the outdoor stairwells on each floor, which was lovely. Ultimately, since we spent most of our time in the hotel either sleeping or at night, I don't think an ocean view was essential, haha. The balcony was nice for getting some fresh air. There's a water dispenser on the first floor, which is convenient for refilling water anytime. Each floor also has an ice dispenser and vending machines. If I had to pick a con, it would be that the elevators sometimes took a while to arrive. I highly recommend this hotel for families due to the spacious rooms! The value for money was excellent, so I encourage you to stay here.

The Rainbow Tower is quite new and the rooms are decent, but the elevators are incredibly slow. With over 1000 rooms sharing just 5 elevators, you're looking at nearly a ten-minute wait every time. I'd advise against booking an ocean view room because you won't really see much ocean; it's mostly lagoon. For a true ocean view, you'd need to book an 'oceanfront view,' and even then, it depends on the front desk's mood – they might give you a low floor where you still can't see anything. My room was on a very low floor with virtually no view, plus there was construction going on downstairs, which was very noisy. The hotel's location is a bit out of the way for Waikiki; it's over a 15-minute walk to the main area. However, it's only a 15-minute walk to Ala Moana Shopping Center. Also, if beach quality is important to you, don't stay here. The beach is full of coral fragments, which hurt your feet, and the water is murky. The towel counter closes at 6 PM, so there's nowhere to return towels after that. Additionally, they don't offer complimentary beach chairs or bodyboards, unlike Marriott where they're free. Overall, it's not really worth the price.

The hotel is nice for the price of low $223 but they charge $45 per day of activity fees but I never used. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the central Waikiki area but is OK. The breakfast buffet is good and includes in the room package. The only problem is that they only have valet parking for $60 per day. It took them 45 minutes in the morning to get my car down on day 1 and we missed the tour. The other days were 10 to 15 minutes. I guess they don’t have enough parking so they have to double park and triple park. I tried to park at the adjacent Banyan lot but all full after 8pm. There are no other viable option other than valet parking in the hotel.

I had seen a lot of negative reviews on various platforms before, but I didn't experience any of those issues myself. 1. I checked in earlier than the official time. The front desk staff was very friendly and explained that my room was still being cleaned, so I couldn't check in immediately. I left my luggage and went out shopping. While I was out, the hotel called to say my room was ready, which was earlier than the standard check-in time. 2. The room was very clean, and the pool was great for swimming and sunbathing. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right on Waikiki Beach's commercial street, making it convenient for dining and shopping. We stayed on the 9th floor, looking down at a rooftop. The downside was that the music from what seemed to be other hotels' bars nearby was quite loud late at night, which could affect light sleepers. The hotel breakfast was typical American, but offered average value for money. The hotel's parking lot uses a mezzanine style, so remember your spot when coming and going.

My stay didn't live up to expectations. When I went for breakfast in the morning, I was told it wasn't included, even though I'd specifically confirmed it was when booking. That immediately soured my mood. Thankfully, I contacted the platform's customer service, and they resolved it quickly and offered compensation. We were given Room 08 in the Ewa building, and the balcony view was exactly as pictured. Even though we were on a high floor, we could still faintly hear the lively party music at night, but it didn't bother our sleep. I'm not sure if it would be an issue for lower floors. Getting to the beach was super convenient – just cross the street, turn right, and you're there. The waves on this part of the beach are very gentle and consistent, so I'd recommend renting a board and heading out. The hotel providing beach towels and chairs was a nice touch and very convenient. The room itself was quite spacious, and while it felt a bit dated, the restroom and bathroom had been renovated with updated fixtures, including a Japanese toilet. The only downside is that the bathroom space felt a bit cramped.

Hygiene: Excellent. The entire place was very clean and tidy, with no trash or dust, and no unpleasant smells – everywhere smelled fresh. The gym was also clean. The only minor issue was the pool, which could get a bit noisy and messy due to the crowd. Ambiance: Fantastic. The rooms themselves were impeccable, all over 50 square meters, with mostly identical layouts, just differing in their specific location. They had everything you could ask for: a bathtub, shower, two sinks, two wardrobes, a dressing table, and a balcony with a view. A special mention for the bathtub – it filled up incredibly fast, less than five minutes, which is the quickest I've ever seen. The decor was very sophisticated, with high-quality materials that gave it a timeless feel, yet it was maintained beautifully, which was very impressive. Service: Excellent. The doormen were highly efficient at opening car doors and handling luggage. The check-in experience at the front desk was great; the staff's attitude was impeccable, they were very professional, didn't strictly adhere to every rule, and were very generous and welcoming. If a room was available, they arranged immediate check-in. Any requests were handled with high efficiency; for example, beach chairs were brought and set up quickly, and anything needed was brought to the room promptly. They even helped close the curtains, making us feel truly at home. Facilities: Outstanding. The decor is very distinctive and rich in character. It has all the amenities expected of a five-star hotel. As one of Hawaii's top three luxury hotel resorts, it boasts a quiet private beach and a golf course, plus its own dolphin lagoon where you can experience close interaction with dolphins. There are four restaurants, a well-equipped gym with fruit and lemon-coconut water, and well-appointed restrooms. There are also many century-old decorations and various shops, all selling co-branded hotel merchandise, which is quite rare and unique. Overall, this hotel is absolutely worth a special trip. All aspects were flawless. What truly stands out is its century-old heritage and expansive space, yet it shows no signs of age and is meticulously maintained. I personally love this feeling of historical charm. Highly recommended.

The view is beautiful; the higher floors offer ocean views and allow you to open the windows, but you can't see the sunrise. Across the street is the Alamoana Center, which has a food plant and delicious local poke. You can use your daily tax payment at the Sera restaurant downstairs, so it's a good thing. The rooms are far superior to the Hilton, but they lack the resort atmosphere. However, there's always a very strong smell when you enter, but thankfully you can sleep with the windows open. There's no parking, but there's free parking across the street, about a 15-minute walk. In Hawaii, you're practically helpless without a car. Getting to Wakii Beach without a car is a real struggle. The hotel provides a free shuttle, but you'll have to walk back. Nighttimes in the US aren't safe, even in Hawaii. So, choosing this hotel basically means missing out on sunsets and nighttime beach views unless you're really brave.

This was my second stay there after a 8-year hiatus. Perhaps due to the influence of the SDGs, the amenities had been significantly reduced. There were only toothbrushes and mouthwash, and hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided in the room. What's more, the mouthwash had its cap open before I even used it, so I was afraid to use it. For now, all the food, drinks, and souvenirs were very expensive at Aura prices... The room is old, but well maintained. If you are a fan of White Lotus, you will feel it as soon as you arrive at the hotel. Pros: The room is well maintained, the green facilities downstairs are good, and the overall living experience is good; Cons: There is no private beach, the privacy is average, and the beach is shared with several hotels; the staff are not very enthusiastic;

Waikiki Honolulu|4.74km from city center
Hands down, this hotel is all about location, convenience, and comfort. If you want to be right in the middle of all the Waikīkī buzz, this is it. You’re just minutes from Waikīkī Beach and within easy walking distance to International Market Place, Royal Hawaiian Center, countless restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores. Everything is so accessible that you can explore easily on foot. The rooms feel fresh and newly renovated, with a modern island-chic style. Clean, bright, and comfortable — not ultra-luxury, but definitely more than sufficient for a relaxing stay. Perfect if you want the essentials done well without paying for full resort-style extras. You’re surrounded by food options — poke, shave ice, smoothie spots, breakfast cafés, and nicer dinner restaurants. Convenience stores are just steps away, making it easy to grab essentials without needing transport. If you value prime location, walkability, renovated rooms, an outdoor pool, a gym, and solid value over ultra-luxe amenities, this hotel is a great choice.

We found our stay at the Halepuna to be extremely pleasant. The front desk staff and the bell people were also consistently polite, professional and helpful. We found the room very clean and comfortable and like the extra touch on the recyclable and reusable bottles provided inside our room with filling stations on various levels. It’s also an added perk to have laundry machines available for guest usage at a fee.

2. I discussed my room preferences with the front desk, and I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. It felt much better than what I had booked.

The location is fantastic! It's only a 5-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. They offer free luggage storage for suitcases and backpacks throughout your stay (until check-out), and you can easily retrieve or deposit items by simply asking at the front desk. When I checked in around 3 PM, there was a Japanese-speaking woman at the front desk, and in the evening, it was an English-speaking man. The facilities are generally clean, quiet, and problem-free. The common area has basic amenities like an electric kettle and a microwave, so you can eat and drink there. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.

The location is fantastic! It's right by the bus stop and super close to the beach. The staff are really friendly, and there's coffee and muffins on the first floor. Plus, they offer free luggage storage and there's an open kitchen if you want to cook.

This hotel is located at the back of the Luxury row. It is convenient for the beach and also shops and bars. The room was large, the bed was comfortable. The balcony is quite small. Overall it is clean. There is a gym onsite but the pool is tiny. The front desk service is efficient and friendly. They provide complementary coffee and tea in the morning. They also provide complementary beach towels.

The room was well-equipped with a stove and dishes, plus a round table and two chairs which made dining very convenient. It was clean and tidy, and the lobby had a water dispenser for drinking water. The service attitude was good, and they offered luggage storage. The hotel has a pink exterior, making it easy to spot. There are dining options downstairs, and it's a super convenient 2-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. There are also many bus stops nearby, making getting around very easy.
