This is my second hotel in Mauritius. The front desk service wasn't as good as the Hilton. There was no welcome drink upon arrival, so I just had to wait. There seemed to be more mosquitoes than at the Hilton, and the outdoor pool felt a bit dirtier than at the Hilton. Their restaurant is large and has a wide variety of dishes, but the flavors weren't to my liking, like the odd-tasting fried noodles and the overly sweet barbecued pork buns. The service at the Deer Hunter restaurant was good, but reservations had to be made a day in advance. The decor is magnificent. Overall, I had no disappointments, but I haven't given it a rave review.

Fabulous hotel. We went AI which was a good call considering there were no bars or restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We stayed in a Beach Bliss junior suite which was large, well equipped with a super comfortable bed. The drinks and food included in the AI package were great with some international spirits. Cocktails were amongst the best we have had. The food options were also top notch with lots of choice and variety. All restaurants including the main buffet were good with our favourite speciality restaurants being Jade (Asian) and Waves (Seafood). The spa was ok and we didn’t try the gym or water sports. The free snorkelling trip, Mauritian cooking class and BBQ night at Waves were all great fun. Special thanks to Geetanjalee for doing a fantastic job keeping our room tidy, Akhilesh for his cocktail making skills and Stephanie for doing a great job hosting the cooking class. All in all a fabulous stay and the only feedback I would give for improvement would be to speed up the check-in process and add some variety to the evening entertainment.

A bit tired hotel, cold tiles on the floor in the rooms, nowhere to dry bathing suits. Good food, excellent restaurant. We had dinner in a Japanese restaurant, really liked it. Didn't like that random people were walking around the hotel, we didn't see any security, and if there was, they didn't pay attention to it. Strangers came up to the sun loungers, went inside, took a shower near the pool, probably could have gone into the restaurant, because there was no one at the entrance, no one asked anything. Once they brought us a bill written out for our room the day before, without a signature. We said that it wasn't our bill, they calmly removed it, probably not the first time.

The hotel is really nice and big. The food is of goos quality and the staff very professsional and welcoming particularly at the BEACH GRILL and MAIN POOL. If you're looking for peace and wellness it's the perfect place. However if you want fun and dancing that's not the atmosphere of the hotel.

As a 5 star hotel and the high room rate, the service of this hotel is not up to the standard. Most of staff in the restaurants have bad faces, n some of the receptionists at the front desk are not helpful. I have asked for a late check out owing to the late flight n poor weather condition with cyclone approaching, a fat lady at the front desk told me that we have to respect to the check out policy n she cannot even allow only 1 hour of late check out (pls note the check out time is 11am which is earlier than most of the other resorts n hotels in Mauritius). Other housekeeping staff n bellboys are nice, the butler is also helpful but u have to find out all the information via their app/QR code. Although there are not too many guests in the hotel, they will ask u to make reservation for the dinner instead of walk in. On top of all the above, the hotel’s cleanliness is a concern, 1 night I found a very big cockroach hidden at the back of minbar. It was so scary that I couldn’t sleep well that night. For the pros, it has a very long beach line with clear water. It has a lot of facilities including library, game room, cinema, gym, water sports, 2 swimming pools n more restaurants with different cuisines than other hotels. I chose it bcz it is ranked as a gourmet hotel but I found that the food is just fair. In conclusion, I won’t pick this hotel for its average service n cleanliness with a very high room rate.

Let's talk about it from a few conveniences Facilities: three restaurants, two swimming pools, one of which is heated. The breakfast in the main restaurant is quite exquisite, and the food I ate for three days has not changed. The floating restaurant for dinner is very interesting and tastes good. It's just a little cold (it was winter when I went there). The spa is good and worth experiencing. I didn't try golf and shooting. It's a pity that there is no snorkeling activity. Sanitation: Very good, your room can be cleaned twice a day, and you will be asked at 7 o'clock in the evening if you want to tidy up the room and send you more water. Very good. Environment: This is too cozy to say. Service: This is very good, much better than the five-star hotels in the island cities in China, probably because of the enthusiasm of Africans. If you have to say the disadvantages, the hotel is very good, but it is a little old. The creaking sound of the floor in the room is very loud, and I am worried about waking up my companions when I get up at night.

Very good hotel, wake up every day listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. Most of the service staff are hospitable. The only dissatisfaction is that the room cleaning is too procrastinating. I left at 9 o'clock in the morning and hung up the hygiene sign. I have not cleaned it up at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Eventually they wanted to come clean and I refused. I needed a break. The hotel has a main restaurant, including four cuisines in Japan, Arabia, Thailand and India. There are also three open-air restaurants, saying that its restaurant is high, in fact, it is an open-air restaurant made of parasols and coconut leaves, which can prevent light rain. The three open-air restaurants are American, Malaysian and seaside barbecue. Whether you are two meals or three meals, each person can not consume more than 4,000 rupees, that is, RMB620.00, more than part of it pays by yourself. Generally, the appetizer soup is 800 rupees, and the main course is about 1200-1500 rupees. Thai food is the cheapest. The appetite is not big, 2,000 rupees is enough. If you need dessert, you may need to add 600-800 rupees. It is recommended that the small amount of meals be ordered including breakfast, and the others order their own meals, plus 10% tip, two people have a meal 600-800 RMB is enough. The sunset on the hotel balcony is also very beautiful

Very good, good environment, the Chinese housekeeper helped introduce the hotel when he checked in, but he didn't see it, but he also left contact information to find him. We did n’t bother people anymore if we could pass English. The hotel environment is very beautiful. I especially like this outdoor bathing area. Because the hotel is a forest environment, there will be big cockroaches. I saw it twice. Later I did not see it in other hotels (> ﹏ <). People like me, who are particularly afraid of bugs, are not suitable for living alone. It is good to be accompanied by a family member. For breakfast, you can go to the cafeteria and French restaurant. There are fewer French restaurants but just by the sea. The hotel has its own parking area. The Oberoi Mauritius has been by far the best hotel that we have stayed, this comment is made based on traveling across the world and not limited to travels in Mauritius. The staff paid careful attention to satisfying our every need and personal food requests that were happily accommodated by the hotel’s chef. Having fallen ill while traveling, the hotel doctor was readily available for a consult and prescribed medication within a timely manner. The visit to the spa was relaxing and all rooms were well-maintained. The therapist was able to provide treatments on our individual needs. The room was beautifully decorated with a private pool and garden, this meant that we were lucky enough to have our breakfast with a magnificent sea view🌊. Overall a true five star ⭐️ hotel that delivers an exceptional experience to its guests. Well done Oberoi Team⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel is in the north, and the airport is in the south (a bit dizzy), 50 minutes drive from the airport. There are hotels on the beach. This French hotel is 3 stars locally. The hotel is not big but still beautiful. If you have time, you can spend a day in the hotel. The hotel is very private. There is a supermarket on the left and restaurants and some shops on the right. The clothes sold are at tourist prices. Go out on the right, near the sea, and there is a police station. Around 15 from Port Louis The service staff are good, the breakfast is full but there are really few things... Speaking French has an advantage over English. There is a 20% discount for spa reservations 48 hours in advance, and helicopters can also be booked. The hotel does not provide slippers and toothbrushes, please bring your own, as well as adapters. When checking out on the 7th, the front desk will charge 160 and say that the two bottles of water in the room are chargeable. Damn, the little brother who checked in clearly said that it is free. There are tea bags and coffee bags next to it. What do you label? No, the small bottle of water sells for 10 rupees and you charge 80? ? ? I was anxious to wait for my friend to take me to the airport without going to talk. In short, friends who go to Maoqiu pay special attention to the tips. People in restaurants and supermarkets should pay attention to it. There are more Chinese people. Tips are 1-2 US dollars per day. If you encounter a service staff who does not say hello to deduct the tip in advance, you will become a habit that Chinese people are stupid.

A cool hotel, all new and clean, excellent service. Everything is included, which is important, because there are almost no restaurants/cafes or shops in this part of the island, or, better to say, no restaurants/cafes or shops at all. For dinner, you can even try a lobster;) However, I would draw attention to the purity of dishes in the dining room, and that is not only my opinion, because it is a health issue! In a hotel of this level, it is unacceptable to have “captured” plates and, forgive me, unwashed. Very beautiful and well-looked area, but the beach is windy and not the most convenient, but there are swimming pools. If you go right there are more convenient areas with beautiful views.

Aside from the price, there's nothing wrong with it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly team and offered welcome drinks. The host then took us on a tour, explaining the various facilities, the restaurants, and the dress code. We were given complimentary rum punch in our room, and coffee and tea were provided free of charge. Because our flight wasn't until 11 PM, and it was off-season, we asked the front desk, and they gave us a free late checkout until 6 PM. The service was impeccable. If you were wondering around the hotel, a staff member would come and ask if you needed any assistance. The only downside was that it was winter, and the wind was strong, so many sea activities were canceled. However, this didn't affect the beautiful scenery at all. In the morning, we were treated to a stunning sunrise.

The price/performance ratio of this hotel is super high It is the most cost-effective hotel I have ever stayed in Mauritius. Although it was not a high-star hotel, he had almost thought of the things that a high-star hotel would have. It is very close to Tamarin Beach. There are 2 good restaurants and a food stall in the hotel. There are small supermarkets and a Chinese restaurant nearby. The owner of the Chinese restaurant can no longer speak Chinese, which is not important. In short, the facilities are quite convenient. We had to go to sea the next morning, and the hotel prepared breakfast for us to take with us when we went out to sea. It was so touching. There were several reviews on Gmap that said it was very noisy at night and there were dogs barking, but when we stayed there, we slept soundly and very peacefully. This is an excellent, inexpensive resort to stay on the East Coast of Mauritius. I loved hotel's activities and staff services. Whilst I wouldn't stay there on a honeymoon because it lacks the romantic atmosphere that some of the 5 starts hotels have ( luxurious flowers, etc) I will always consider returning for a holiday break. The waves on the East Coast are stronger comparing to the West coast, making swimming little bit more challenging, however the water is very clean. Highly recommended.

Backed by Mona Mountain, the scenery is unique and the various services and facilities are very satisfactory. Sharing facilities with the Paradise Hotel next to it made it impossible for me to eat all the restaurants in the two hotels in two days. The most impressive thing is that I need to check out at 5:30 in the morning and go out to see dolphins and whales, telling the hotel staff in advance. Although it was too late to eat breakfast, I thought that the check-out time was too early. The restaurant had not started to make breakfast, and I didn't ask for a packaged breakfast. I planned to pack some food when I had dinner the day before. Because I was bumping on the boat for a long time, I was afraid of eating too much and vomiting. I wanted to pack some bread. As a result, the bread for dinner was very hard. My wife and I discussed if there was a sliced bread, or I would not pack it. Buy some food on the way to the pier. After dinner, my wife and I strolled around the hotel for a while and then looked at the beautiful night view of the hotel. After the stroll, someone knocked on the door as soon as I entered the room. After opening the door, he found that it was the waiter, he handed me a box and said that sir this is your breakfast for tomorrow, it was a little surprised, too thoughtful. Then open the box to see what it is, and find that it is different flavors of sliced bread, a few fruits and two small bottles of juice. At 5:30 the next morning, after checking out, my wife and I sat in the lobby and ate our breakfast... What I could think of was the word last night, so considerate!

Rats in restaurant On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice. We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food. The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for. Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience: - Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness - Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful - Rooms didn’t feel clean - Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast - Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it) We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

There is no comparison here, you can only say that the price is OK, after all, this price is cheaper in the hair ball.

MM252981****Very good hotel, wake up every day listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore. The resort looks fantastic, lush green everywhere with lots of nature. The pool area offers beautiful sunsets. There's a separate bar for rum cocktails, which taste excellent. Everything around the bar is also perfectly themed – very well done! There's a secure parking lot on the premises. Unfortunately, it was very windy during our stay. Almost constant wind came from the east (the side of our balcony and the beach). There are also two alternative restaurants within walking distance that we used instead of the hotel restaurant.

A piece of paradise! The location is amazing! The hotel is located between two popular, beautiful beaches: Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches. There's a bus stop nearby to the north of the island and Port Louis. Also nearby (on the left, if you're facing the ocean) is a boat launch where you can go dolphin watching and swim with turtles. The sunrises here are breathtakingly beautiful – a must-see! We were greeted very warmly and warmly. We were checked in within 5 minutes, which was very important after a long two-day flight. The food was incredibly delicious! Special thanks to the chefs and all the restaurant staff, especially Brinda (quest relation) and Priscilla. Also, I don't remember her name, but there's a wonderful employee who speaks Russian. She's a very nice person and always helped with any questions. Overall, the entire staff is like one big family. During my stay on the island, I had a birthday, and the hotel staff very touchingly congratulated me on it and gave me a huge, delicious cake. I would happily return to this hotel!

A good hotel with a beautiful and well-designed area. A spacious beach where turtles swim. Breakfast is quite uniform, but there is everything.  Convenient entrance to water, beach clean. You can take a cayak for rent free. Defects: lunch and dinner are expensive if not all on. The hotel is quite old.  In general, we liked: A picturesque beach, a benign staff, lucky to see turtles in the ocean.

It was okay! Nothing special. It was part of our honeymoon, I wrote it on the notes during the booking but there was no acknowledgment from the staff or done anything special for us. Food was okay, definitely repeatjng buffet, nothing specials Location is quite isolated but if you have a car it’s not that bad.

The room is very nice, with a living room, kitchen and bedroom on the second floor. It's all great together. It's just that there are mice 🐭 that come out in the kitchen at night. But there is no danger, it is just looking for food.

A nice hotel in Mauritius on the system everything is included. Bar pools rooms are all wonderful. But here the beach has no place at all. Strong wind, muddy water flow. This is a paradise for water recreation lovers

I would recommend this hotel. The staff are incredibly attentive, which is really pleasant. I spent a week in a room with a private pool, and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel restaurant is very good, and the breakfast is super comprehensive with plenty of choices. The spa is also very good. It's a shame the gym isn't more visible, though.
