I was satisfied with the exterior, interior facilities, and service. I was worried because the bathroom door was covered with a curtain in the review after booking, but there was a door where the bathroom and toilet were separated on both sides, and only the part with the sink in the center was covered by a curtain, so it was easy to use with family. I think it’s a better structure when multiple people are together.

It was good to eat and play. It feels like I forgot a lot of things at home. The shower doesn't drain quickly. The water overflowed and I had to go to the toilet and fill the floor with towels. The air conditioner was too loud The floor was stained too. The hallway was as hot as midsummer. Looks like I won't be revisiting.

The location of the hotel is also moderately close ~ It is not far from Suncheon Bay National Garden, so I have a good time! It's a rice field view! It's not soundproof, but it was spacious and nice considering it!

I had a good rest~ The additional cost of hot water in the pool is 80,000 won. The kids swam without any worries~ In the evening, if you walk 5 to 10 minutes away, there are many restaurants and bars~

It is within 10 minutes walk from KTX Suncheon Station, there are E-Mart, Daiso across the street, and there are many restaurants nearby. And it's not long since it's opened, so it's clean and good because it's a style interior these days. But parking is mechanical ... of course, the staff will park it, and when you go out, you will not wait, and you will wait at the entrance, and you will wait at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance, and you will be waiting at the entrance From the beginning, I was a little bit tired of this kind of parking, but I was worried about it. ....

Room was beautifully designed and decorated, the table and chair with the lovely carpet near the window is a good place to post on instagram. Convenient room control with just one remote for lights, TV, and aircon, it surprised me but better with English manual for foreigners. Never expect this quality in a small city, will definitely stay again next time.

It was nice that there were a lot of restaurants nearby as it was a bit out of town. There are no attractions to walk to around the accommodation, but the accommodation was clean and nice. You have to check in early to get a parking spot. The whirlpool is smaller than I thought. I plan to use it again next time. ^^

The location was good so it was easy to get around, and since it was my first time here, I asked a lot of questions, but the hotel staff answered kindly, so it was a pleasant trip.

Reviews From Real Travelers

We were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Iam. The room was very clean and comfortable, but a bit small. There was free breakfast every morning and a beautiful rooftop deck. The hotel was very close to the bus stop and the beautiful path that runs along the river. We would definitely stay here again.

You are trying to find a descent hotel from the international brand just to have nice accommodation during 3 week business trip. You need just a place to have a rest and comfortable enough to refresh after a working day. Well, look for some different hotel. Tree days I spent here and I was not able to normally sleep not even one night...First night - diesel power generator started to work at 5:30 in the morning. And it is placed right near the hotel under your windows! Second night - I have enjoyed a full scale of street racing sounds from the nearest street because the balcony door is not able to be fully closed and leaves a small gap. Third night - same generator started to work at 11 p.m. and hotel lost its power. 5 star hotel in the biggest city of Kazakhstan...for crying out loud. I need to spend here 17 more nights and I am scared. Earplugs is not an option with the level of noise. Rooms are good enough, but carpet is dirty. Food is good but pricey and the only nice thing is the lobby of the hotel. Overall - newer ever again in my life! Only outside of the Almaty hotels and 3 stars tops. At least you will expect problems I am having now...

Dinner in the hotel is problematic. The menu needs to be downloaded to the phone. It is not readable there. There is no alternative. Or from the phone or not. Frozen waiter will not help you. As a result, dinner was in a restaurant opposite the hotel. The hotel was filled with interest on thirty, but behind the wall we were settled by drunken people who arranged a debosh at four in the morning. Resepschn did not solve the problem, said ”we spoke to the guests,” but the noise continued. Only after the promise in the morning to complain to the leadership, we were offered to move to another room for the night. And be ready, that in the morning, at breakfast, you will be treated with pro-Ukrainian propaganda on two TVs. At the request of changing the channel, the answer was that ”we are obliged to show the world news.” Well, the yelling maids in the hallway are fully voiced It is clear that all the forces of the leadership have gone to build a building of the corresponding level of a five-star hotel, and the building has really succeeded, and the service of the forces is no longer enough. Usually I don't write reviews, but these guys tried very hard to spoil the rest. Good boys, it turned out

First time here, and good first impressions. Beds were comfy enough in a spacious room. Work desk was wide enough for serious office work. Decor was modern, with nice paintings as well. Bathroom has a number of amenities as well. Fitness room was VERY WELL equipped - puts a lot of Doubletrees (and even Hiltons) in the US to shame. Many treadmills, ellipticals and cycles, with lots of free weights and machines. AND, spacious as well. Top notch !! Breakfast was decent....with a number of local delicacies. Standard fare was even adequate for dinner. Hope to explore more next time.

The best and the most expensive hotel in Almaty. Service is perfect, staff try to help in all questions. Breakfast huge and tasty, there is everything, even common quail eggs… Rooms big and have nice views to city or mountais. Gym is very good too. Pool not big but enough good, sauna just separate in mans and womans changing rooms.

A classic Soviet icon building, beautiful lobby, that's where it ends. The rooms are ANCIENT - old big-box tv in the room, no safe and no refrigerator as advertised. Drilling noises in the early morning from my room. Old mattresses lying on the bedroom floors. Rooms clearly haven't been updated for 30 years. No sockets placed conveniently in room so have to put the tea tray on the floor to use it. Insane! No thought put into the comfort for guests using the room. Treated like a number instead of a guest. Not enough staff on reception. Breakfast very good but busy. Have a look inside and get a bite to eat maybe, but stay someplace else!

On a holiday in Kazakhstan for 15 days, my wife and I stayed at this hotel on 3 different occasions and have returned with mixed reactions - 1) 2 Nights on the first leg of our trip - Though the hotel and room looked a little rundown requiring refurbishment, it was a comfortable stay and service though, very stiff and formal, was acceptable. Breakfast - Very good; Communication - Poor due to most staff members being unable to communicate in English. 2) 1 Night on the second leg - Room very good. Service - Stiff but again acceptable. Breakfast again very good and communication poor. BUT the worst part was that the integrity of house keeping and reception staff was suspicious. While checking out after our first stay, my wife had left behind a set of clothes in the wardrobe. This came to realization, after reaching our next destination and I immediately called up the hotel and informed them. The lady assured that she would check and ring back, which she never did. When we checked-in around 5 days later, I was told that house-keeping had reported that nothing was left behind. My wife was firm and we asked to speak to a senior manager or the GM. It was then that we were asked to please wait for a recheck once again. One hour later, I received a call in my room, requesting me to collect the dress from the reception, without the courtesy of having it sent up to our room. 3) 1 Night on the last leg, before taking our flight back home. Room - Small and in very poor condition with walls having peeling wall paper and stains, Shower room, very small restricting mobility for me at 184cms height. I requested if the room could be changed but was answered with a curt - SORRY. OVERALL - This hotel definitely needs to upgrade it's service which is the FIRST ESSENTIAL in the hospitality business. A mechanical smile and words of welcome are not enough to convince a traveller to come back. If my bookings were not pre-confirmed, I would certainly not re-visit after our experience on the second time.

The hotel was very nice. Atmospheric. Despite being young, here are trying to maintain cleanliness and order. Staff polite, welcoming. Breakfast is satisfactory, delicious, diverse. Disappointed a little room. Because we were given a room with one bed for 4 people. Yes, King Size bed, but it wasn't very comfortable to sleep. And in the bathroom there is not enough hangover( hooks) for towels. Specially liked the lobby. The palace-super polite! It was very nice when he met us so hospitality and friendly!

Our July 3-12, 2023, family stay at the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel for our son and daughter-in-law’s Qyz Uzatu bride’s wedding was memorable and outstanding. The staff was accommodating beyond expectations. Examples of services and assistance furnished include: 1) gorgeous congratulatory bouquet of roses, cake, and bottle of champagne for bride and groom upon their arrival, 2) Front Desk Receptionist Elmira ordered, negotiated, and “babysat” multiple wedding flower bouquets the day of the bride’s wedding event, 3) Deputy General Manager Yevgeniy personally helped finalize five 10-day room reservations, following up multiple times ensuring our full satisfaction, then emailing us a farewell and thank you note for our stay, 4) Front Desk Manager Altyn happily assisted with various requests, 5) entire staff was cooperative, positive, and professional, and 6) hotel restaurant’s breakfast buffets were delicious, and lunches were quite satisfying, too. Additionally, the hotel location was fantastic b/c: it’s adjacent to the large public plaza with memorial and fountains, as well as the tram to the nearby mountaintop which had restaurants, zoo, amusement park, etc.; walkable city center with nearby restaurants, shopping, green spaces, and more. Based on our family’s experience, we zealously endorse and recommend the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel and will fondly remember our stay and the hotel’s kind, thoughtful, and service-oriented staff for taking care of our family.

The breakfast was good, but not fantastic. The room was good and clean, there were some supplies in the toilette. Parks and places around the hotel are nice, and you can have a good walk around, if you wish. There were always noise (I'd assume cleaners did some work) quite early in the morning. Another issue is that the breakfast time in the morning is until 10am sharp, which is not convenient for people travelling from Europe for leisure. As I understood, there're no alternatives available. We asked a bottle of water and an additional blanked to the room, and it was challenging to get them. Particularly, with the bottle of water, as they refused to put the cost of it on the hotel room, but requested a cash payment. It was a surprise for us.

Stayed there for a night during my KZ trip, the hotel is located at a very comfortable location , the hotel rooms looks like more of heritage room with a few old decor plates and felt really warm, they provided with all the necessity services, and a secured cloak room was also there, I kept my luggage after checkout for almost a day and they were really helpful to store them at their place without any hassle and provided back the same in couple of minutes, They staff here speaks fluent English as well and take extra efforts to help their guest. Would definitely recommend to stay and get to know the services of the same.

Everything is good, and many things are absolutely great! The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are spotless and the bed is comfortable, and the breakfast buffet, while lacking exotic options, is of superlative quality. We recently had a stay at this Swissotel. Given the reputation of the brand, our expectations were naturally set high. However, the reality of our experience fell significantly short of those anticipations. 1. Check-in Procedure: Even with online check-in we were subjected to a 30-minute wait. One of our pre-booked rooms was not ready at the time of arrival. 2. Room's Condition: - A glaring lapse in cleanliness was evident with the state of the bathroom floor near its entrance (photo attached). - The bathroom door's sliding mechanism was faulty and highly inconvenient. - The overall condition of the bathroom indicated it's due for an overhaul and repairs (photos attached). - The discovery of a used ear swab under the table raised significant concerns about the room's preparation and cleanliness (photo attached). - A faulty power outlet in the bathroom added to the growing list of maintenance concerns (photo attached). - The discovery of a dead insect in the drapes clearly points to a continuous lack of attention to detail with the cleaning staff (photo attached). 3. Birthday Cake: Our agreement for a pre-arranged complimentary birthday cake was not only overlooked but was also delivered a day later than promised, despite having multiple conversations and providing evidence of our prior agreement (via the official hotel WhatsApp). 4. Water Bottle Replenishment: The consistent oversight in providing an essential like water, despite multiple request channels, was surprising. The water had to be fetched from the cleaning staff, we had to chase them and ask. None of the other channels, like the official app or the reception, fulfilled our request for the water delivery. 5. Dining: Our anticipation of an à la carte menu was countered by a buffet offering. Being told this was due to hotel occupancy levels feeling unsatisfactory. This went on for both evenings spent at the hotel. Portions of the a la carte menu were available only for room service. 6. Buffet Food Quality: The limited options, particularly for main courses (3), left much to be desired. Our experience with the freshly prepared pasta was particularly disappointing. It was watery, bland, disgusting. You could get better pasta at an office canteen. We have travelled quite a big part of the world and this buffet was easily the worst we have ever had. Both taste and variety were not worth the price. And we were forced into it by being denied the a la carte option. The hotel is above capacity - great, but we paid for the same service as if it weren't, right? Not OUR problem. 7. Breakfast Experience: The overall offering was lackluster. The variety was uninspiring, especially when compared to even basic 3-star hotels. Stale pastry (croissant from the day before) at a 5* hotel is inexcusable - these are absolute basics. Staff appeared overwhelmed, often forgetting to replenish food and drinks (had to be reminded many times) and struggling to manage guest numbers. Only 2 juice options fo
