Our stay at Pullman Xishuangbanna far exceeded expectations, and I have to sing its praises! Before we even arrived, our butler, Victorie, proactively reached out to ask about our preferences and needs. Knowing we had a baby, she had a bed rail installed in the room early on, which was incredibly baby-friendly! I've stayed at many family-friendly hotels before, and it's rare for them to proactively provide bed rails, so this really touched our hearts. Before check-in, she also thoughtfully prepared mosquito repellent packets, offered complimentary drinks, and arranged our airport pick-up. As soon as our flight landed, we received a message from the butler, and to our surprise, our room was upgraded! All the fatigue from our journey instantly disappeared. We were traveling with family, including young children and seniors, and had barely planned anything in advance. Our butler, Victoria, proactively checked in every day about our plans for the next day, patiently shared sightseeing tips, recommended local restaurants, and even helped us plan our itineraries. She was like a walking encyclopedia, always ready to answer any questions. The communication felt relaxed and comfortable, like chatting with a friend, making the entire trip worry-free and delightful. The service from all the hotel staff was incredibly sincere and thoughtful. The staff at the Chinese restaurant were attentive and caring. The doormen at the entrance always opened the car doors and helped with luggage whenever we arrived or departed. Seeing our energetic child, they would even gently carry him to a safe area away from traffic, showing great attention to detail and providing a strong sense of security. In the evening, the hotel's Dai dance party had a wonderful atmosphere – lively and fun, and the children absolutely loved it. On the plane ride home, our family already agreed that on our next trip to Xishuangbanna, we will definitely choose to stay at Pullman again!

The InterContinental Banna is converted from a former palace, and the check-in experience was extremely comfortable. Even during the National Day holiday, it didn't feel crowded at all. The hotel grounds are huge with plenty of activities. Because the traditional pavilions and towers are so distinctive, you can actually book Dai ethnic costume photoshoot sessions right inside the hotel. You could easily spend half a day just exploring the property without stepping outside—feeding peacocks, trying out intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, riding the mini train with clowns, and taking photos at various scenic spots. In addition, we give the hotel's cleanliness a five-star rating. My daughter is particularly sensitive to the environment and mosquitoes. Given that Banna has a lot of vegetation and woods where mosquitoes are common, the InterContinental did a truly exceptional job—there were no mosquitoes at all, and the room was very spacious. The location is also great; it's not as noisy as the area around the Starlight Night Market, it's not far from the Primeval Forest Park, and getting a taxi is very convenient. Highly recommended!

We came to the hotel specifically for a low-age child-friendly vacation, so it would be great if there were more children's entertainment facilities. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, and room cleaning was prompt. Environment: The environment is excellent, giving you the feeling of staying in a tropical rainforest. This is a well-established international five-star hotel. We booked the Sheraton for the second half of our trip to Xishuangbanna, mainly attracted by its great value for money. We stayed in a family connecting room, which is essentially two separate rooms. As a classic luxury hotel, although the facilities are a bit dated, the cleanliness and bedding are still up to standard. The bathroom tiles have some discolored areas, but the shower worked well. Being a resort hotel, there is no butler service, but given the affordable room rate, that's quite acceptable. However, the minibars in both rooms were completely empty—no drinks or small snacks at all—and only two mugs were provided, which felt extremely sparse. Fortunately, the hotel called in the evening to offer two complimentary snack sets, which felt pretty okay; they included three imported new-release items, fresh fruit, glassware, and flower pastry cakes. Located in the mountains not far from the airport, the hotel is somewhat far from downtown. However, the property itself is quite large, perfect for taking a stroll and walking around. The ecosystem within the grounds is fantastic; we spotted many squirrels during our walk, which was delightful, as well as some giant African land snails. The outdoor swimming pool is very clean and even comes with natural sulfur hot springs. A great experience! The complimentary travel photography session included with the stay was also quite nice, saving us the trouble of running around scenic spots for photos. However, getting extra digital photos costs 80 RMB each, which is quite pricey! For those driving, there is a parking lot, and the ground-level spaces are quite convenient. Slow electric vehicle chargers are also available. The breakfast was very extensive, with the only downside being the lack of fruit juices—only coffee, yogurt, and milk were available.

Our trip was absolutely delightful! We had originally planned to visit Weizhou Island, but the day before our departure, we received news of ferry cancellations due to weather. We quickly decided to switch our destination to Xishuangbanna, and to our surprise, this spontaneous trip to Xishuangbanna turned out to be unexpectedly wonderful! Our butler, Lily Erluo, added me on WeChat the day before our arrival to inquire about our itinerary and arranged airport pick-up. Lily is by far the most attentive butler I've ever encountered in all my hotel stays, taking care of every single detail. The main purpose of this trip was to celebrate my child's birthday, and Lily Erluo even prepared a cake for us in advance! She would also ask us daily if we wanted to participate in any activities and even accompanied us for fishing at the hotel! The restaurants she recommended were also excellent. When we left, she even gave my daughter a Hani ethnic charm that her mother had personally made! Having Lily Erluo's service elevated the happiness of our entire trip significantly! The hotel environment is also fantastic, like a tropical botanical garden, offering a very high level of comfort. It truly feels like a natural oxygen bar. The complimentary photoshoot offered by the hotel was also great, with excellent makeup and outfits!

Taking a break from work, I strolled around the Gaozhuang Starlight Night Market 😍 This place is very close to the night market 🤓 Just a few steps away, super convenient! There's also parking available right outside. The swimming pool is huge and very clean—I have to give this a shout-out! 🤪 So clean! Crystal clear, a beautiful blue. A swim in the hot afternoon, perfect for a photo op! The room is my style 🥰 It uses expensive solid wood and Dai-Thai elements like window screens. I really dislike overly youthful and cheap-looking decor, but this place's elegant, high-end hotel decor really appeals to me. The bathroom is also clean and has a separate shower and toilet. There's a travel photography studio downstairs; it looks quite popular. Convenient for ladies visiting Xishuangbanna. There are also big motorcycles outside—quite unique! Overall, great. This is the first time I've genuinely wanted to write a review for a restaurant. This place truly puts their heart into running it. The free airport pick-up and drop-off was already a huge bonus, plus the fruit delivered to our room at 7 PM and milk at 9 PM. Breakfast was a nutritious nine-compartment breakfast, plus incredibly freshly cooked rice noodles. The next day, the young man at the front desk even cut up the watermelon I bought myself, wearing disposable gloves while doing so. I especially love browsing the market, so I bought some gastrodia elata and steamed, cut, and dried it in the kitchen – I had more tools than I do at home! The bathrooms used Kohler products. Located in the heart of the villa area, it's incredibly quiet. Walking along the river, there are very few people, and some places suitable for young children to play. The riverside night market isn't far either. Compared to staying near the Starlight Night Market last year, I prefer this place.

Our experience at this hotel was terrible from the moment we checked in. We used to stay here every time we visited Xishuangbanna. We drove here, so we had a lot of luggage. When I asked the front desk if they had a luggage cart, the receptionist told me to carry everything myself. When I went over, I saw the cart was full of miscellaneous items. The receptionist then told me to clear the items off myself. Not only did I have to move all the stuff that shouldn't have been on the luggage cart, but I also had to carry my own bags while the front desk staff just stood there and watched, not even offering to help. I could let that slide. We were originally planning to extend our stay; I had already told them yesterday that we'd like to stay in the same room. Check-out time was 2 PM, but at 1:32 PM, they called to tell us to check out. I immediately decided to check out and move to another hotel. They clearly knew we had a lot of luggage, yet at just past 2 PM, they sent someone up to rush us. Even as I left the hotel, carrying my bags to the parking lot, the front desk staff just stood there, completely indifferent (and there wasn't just one person, nor were they busy; there wasn't even anyone checking in). This kind of experience truly shows the hotel's unprofessional management and poor front desk service. I had already calmed down yesterday, thinking that perhaps the person was alone at the front desk, so I could understand. But today, with several people standing there doing nothing, it's completely incomprehensible what this front desk is even doing. You might as well just get rid of the front desk altogether, it's utterly useless. Don't they provide training before people start working? I've traveled and stayed in so many hotels both domestically and internationally, and this is the first hotel in all these years that has made me write a negative review. It's truly one of a kind. I will never stay here again when I come to Xishuangbanna. If they don't improve their management, no one will dare to come anymore. It's genuinely infuriating.

The melodious hulusi, the graceful Fannuo dance, the endless neon lights, the exotic Dai electronic music, and the bustling Ganbai Street. Since I'm not a fan of guesthouses, I always choose the Mekong Jinglan Hotel for my stays. I visited Gaozhuang two years ago and also stayed at Jinglan. The facilities, location, views, and service were all top-notch. So, for this trip to Gaozhuang, Jinglan was again my top choice! The room interiors, bed frames, and even the exterior walls are all well-maintained, indicating that the hotel is well-managed and invests in its upkeep, creating a positive cycle. This time, I'm staying in Gaozhuang for 4 days. I initially booked a two-day River View Executive Twin Room. At check-in, the lovely Miss Xiaoju at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped arrange a high-floor room as requested. When I learned about the in-house suites on higher floors (fewer than 5 available, with better views, and not sold on platforms), Xiaoju proactively offered a key card for me to view them. After some discussion, Xiaoju offered a very favorable price within her authority. Consequently, I decided to book the in-house suite for another two days. A huge thank you to Xiaoju for her help! My vacation wasn't long enough this time to stay for the Dai New Year Water Splashing Festival. I'll definitely come back when I have more time to experience the three-day carnival!

It's about a 7-8 minute walk to the riverside night market, making it convenient to get anywhere. I paid less than 300 RMB during a non-holiday period and even got an upgrade – what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

The location itself comes with its drawbacks, its close to the night market but in a part of the city that is very noisy and crowded with narrow streets. Traffic is incredibly slow and dangerous. There are other hotels close to the night market in quieter areas. The service and cleanliness was good, though some stains in my sink were present during the stay. One day the very present smell of burning rubber or plastic came into my room though, not sure if it’s incidental or happens to the hotel often. Staff were friendly. And were reliable. Nothing too unique with the amenities provided. Water, towels, though a toilet with automated bidet was nice.
