The grand lobby entrance matches the imposing structure from the 1930’s. The staff were very attentive when we checked in yesterday. Our room on the first floor was terrible! Small and poky and awful bathroom. No good! I went to the reception and voiced my complaint to the front of house manager, a lovely, accommodating young lady. She was very apologetic and asked us to have a look at another room on the same floor. AMAZING! Probably 4 times the size of our first room. Really grand and a lovely, large bathroom. Thank you! We’ve read plenty of bad reviews of this Hotel and judging by our first room I can understand those reviews. The management, however, turned things around right away and made our stay memorable. If your not happy, just talk to them!

The place is not bad, but the price of Ctrip fluctuates too much. The difference between booking 3 months in advance and booking at the hotel site is 300 RMB per night; the complaint, the manager is willing to refund 200 yuan as compensation. They can't control the prices of foreign hotels. This reason is not valid. Why is there no clear statement on the contract floating ratio?
