After reading reviews and being unsure of the area we decided to book this place for 5 nights, March 6-10 for a family ski trip to Winter Park. After reading reviews I was expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. Is this a 5-star hotel, no, but it doesn’t claim to be. It’s a ski lodge. We had a room on the top floor with an extended window view of the resort across the road. The room is a basic hotel room and more than met our needs. Could it use upgrading, yes. Was it fine for what we needed it for, absolutely. The beds were not the greatest but worked. The pillows could really use some updating but again they worked out fine. The room has a small refrigerator and a microwave. There is a window that opens which helps because the sun heats the room if the curtains are pulled back. There are great views of the resort and mountains from the room we were in. Breakfast was provided and while there wasn’t much choices it was decent and we were happy with it. Mainly biscuits, eggs, sausage, bacon, orange and apple juice and coffee. For free it was great. The workers were always cleaning and mopping as you can imagine there was plenty of snow, water, mud and everything else drug in from the skiers carrying their equipment and wearing their ski boots. Every worker we came in contact with was very nice and helpful. There is a pool and 2 hot tubs indoors and we brought our suits to use them but never got the chance but they looked nice. The lodge isn’t far at all from most everything in the town of winter park and also Fraser and there is a shuttle that runs to/from the lodge to the resort across the road and all over Winter Park and Fraser. Overall, we were very happy with this lodge and would definitely stay here again. It’s not a 5-star hotel but neither is the price and based on what you get and the location is a great value!

BELIEVE the other REVIEWS!!!! We came up here, like thousands of others for the Winter Park Jazz Fest...we are Colorado natives, so we know what to expect in our expensive ski towns...we did not expect such a dump..we have stayed in Vail, Avon, Breckenridge and more...Winter Park has the LEAST amount of decent places to stay...but this was terrible, we would have been better off at a no-tell motel....Broken glass in the pool area that goes to the STREET OUTSIDE, caution tape around a hot tub ( you don't have to tell me twice ) Broken , bent tiles, and wall coverings, everywhere was FILTHY, needed to be ripped apart and put back together new...only nice person at the front desk was a young guy with glasses , long hair, and a southern accent. Their ”restaurant” had 5 things ( yes, 5 ) on their menu, me and our two kids came to $70 for the 3 of us!!! They let all of these animal people come here, a guy with a friggin pit bull got on the elevator with me and another person ( thank goodness our kids were in the room with my husband )...on top of it all, we paid $400 a night almost for crap, and they hiked up prices literally for all of us coming to the concert...this place is an embarrassment to everyone coming to Colorado
