The hotel is located in the old town of Panama, strategically located, within walking distance of the Panama Presidential Palace. Strong colonial era style, exquisite and elegant decoration, friendly and thoughtful service, looking forward to the opportunity to go again with your family.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the brand new Sofitel in Casco Viejo! The service was impeccable all around. We were in love with all the mixed culture details of France and Panama and look forward on coming back!

My family stayed at this hotel for spring break and let me tell you it was AMAZING!!! Upon check in there was a hiccup and after it was addressed by upper management, our stay was flawless for the rest of the week. First off the grounds are STUNNING and very well maintained. The hotel is a little further from the city but we enjoyed that because whenever we wanted to go into town it was a quick uber ride away. The pools were amazing! We were here 7 days and we did not want to leave! The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning, the spa was relaxing and my massage was wonderful. We had dinner on property one of our nights and the live music was a nice touch and food here was top notch as well. Drinks at the bar were great-we had a ”date night” here to celebrate our anniversary and the staff assisted my husband with surprising me with lovely roses and fine chocolates. I'm giving the hotel 5 stars because not only is it truly a luxury experience, but their staff is incredible, Isaac is GEM!!!! He literally checked on my family EVERY single day. He turned my stay into one of the best vacations I've ever had (and I travel...OFTEN, all over the world). He was warm, genuine and PROFESSIONAL! He is the reason that I will return to this property during our next visit to Panama, because we will be back! Thank you Santa Maria for a wonderful vacation and thank you Isaac for EVERYTHING!!! Look no further, this is the hotel that you want to book.

Lovely hotel. Luxury setting. Pool area is nice too. The water in the pool was very warm, just how I like it. Service at the hotel was fantastic too! Breakfast was very good, loads of choice . The hotel bar is nice, but took a long time for my food to arrive.

The hotel location is very close to the Huawei Panama office, 200 meters walk, the hotel facilities are relatively new, the catering is good, the service staff is very professional, but also help me a little while walking, the trip is very pleasant. Of course, dining at the restaurant next to the hotel is also good.

Unfortunately one cant trust all reviews nowadays... My wife and I did actually stay at this hotel at the begning of the month. I mean, the place is ok and you get what you paid for! We were staying only 3 nights on our way to boquete so thought we would try it out as it has changed management lately having stayed at a nearby 5* hotel in our previous visit and did not want to repeat. The hotel is located in what used to be a desirable part of town which has since succumbed to the inevitable migration of businesses from the choked part of town to more modern areas. It is centrally located but suffers from terrible traffic during peak hours which means that those few minutes they advertise can turn into almost an hour to get to the heritage area. Even in this part of town, hotels like W and JW offer more contemporary accomodations and facilities. Speaking of which. The Bristol is not a new hotel and seems to be struggling with maintenance. Internet was spotty at best and our room had a smell that I can only attribute to dampness and old carpets or drapery. Service was nice, people were attentive at reception but the same thing could not be said about the restaurant and bar staff. The rstaurant on the 5th floor lacks atmosphere and pretty much looks over other buildings and not the skyline they advertise. Food was acceptable but seemed to be lacking purpose. We ended up having breakfast the next two days at a nearby chain cafe and chosing to dine out at one of the many restaurants on our way back from touring the city. The spa is nice and does has suprisingly great views! If stayig at a nearby hotel I would recommend it. They do have some sort of a tour desk at the ground floor but we found the lady working there too pushy and decided to stick to our guides and the experiences we found posted on Tripadvisor. Those were really useful. On our way back we will be staying at a new property in Casco as it is absolutely beautiful and worth discovering. I guess that if you have business in the area and have to choose a hotel within that neighborhood The Bristol would be an acceptable option amongs many others. But be advised it is far from the 5* experience that they seem to be proyecting at the moment. Hope this review helps those who are looking into staying in Panama. We are moving here in a few months on a more permanent basis and would like to make sure we dont miguide those coming for the first time.

We had to find a hotel last minute as our apartment was not finished in time. The reviews looked good so we came to here from the Rui. The lobby decor was very nice and the whole hotel had a European vibe to it. The opposite of the manic Riu we had just left. The reception staff are excellent. We checked into our room which was lovely but had a view of a concrete wall. I went downstairs and was told the hotel was full and couldn't be changed. I checked online and saw that rooms were still available, the reception staff checked again for me (without given any attitude and were completely fine about me asking again) They then gave us an upgraded room with a excellent view so we appreciate that. Clean, spacious. The only disappointment for me was that the wine was expensive for one class nine dollars! Also at breakfast I thought it was a bit of a shame to charge extra for what is a basic dish of avocado & toast. As i don't eat meat or most dairy including eggs the options were limited. There was fresh breads, had they had avocado on the side I could have made my own but there wasn't an option so I was charged extra for this even though we had paid for a room with breakfast. My partner was also disappointed with the breakfast and wasn't told about the egg options further down. If it wasn't for this I would have given 5 stars. Still a great hotel though.

The property has a great ocean view - at the bar and in the room. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Recognize Hilton Diamond members and provided great benefits. Great ocean view in the public areas and the room. We had a very good experience and think it provides excellent value. We are considering to spend a month there in the winter!!!!

We really enjoyed our time at this location during our recent family trip to Panama City, Panama. The only ding I had was that the room could have use a more thorough cleaning, as we noticed some mold in our room, but I guess its difficult in such a humid climate. The breakfast offered was delicious and the attendants were super involved and attentive. We were met with plenty of helpful hands while traveling with our little ones. We also loved our room and the view from our room during our stay at this hotel. Our refrigerator was stacked with plenty of refreshment if we required anything at a moments notice, but we decided not to purchase anything from the refrigerator while there - so no idea if the cost was reasonable. The pool area was enjoyed by the kids and we also enjoyed the poolside service we were offered while enjoying the pool. We really liked most of the amenities during our time we spent at the JW Marriot and would be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future.

We just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and had a super visit. Genesis helped with many of our plans and was delightful. We used our Titanium Bonvoy suite upgrades to get a corner suit with side water view - large room with lots of comfort and space. The breakfast was wonderful, the food during cocktail hour in the executive lounge was great - and if you must there’s even a ****** attached to the hotel with a bar on the 66th floor. Ubers worked great with less than $6 for a 20 minute trip to the old town. Feel good about staying here - it’s a great choice.

The W Panama was an unforgettable experience. It’s one of the best Marriott Hotels in Panama. The service at the W was the best I’ve experienced in Panama. They went above and beyond for Wifey’s birthday, I was impressed with the level of service received. They were quick to respond to my needs via the BonVoy app. and were exceptional throughout my stay. I loved how well they acknowledged my Elite status with Marriott. They even left a nice small cake in our upgraded suite. Cant say enough about the service, it was superb. The Wow suite has the name to match. It was one of the coolest rooms I’ve stayed in. Love that they offer so many room options, they are sure to meet just about any occasion.

Excellent choice in Panama City, the rooms are perfect, neighbourhood is great with endless number of restaurants. Continental breakfast is amazing. We stayed here for 10 days, however 1 single issue did confuse & upset us: Here was the scenario explained to them: - 10 nights of stay - guest A&B stayed for the first 6 days. - guest A alone 7th day - guest A&C the last 3 nights. Told them upfront that 1 guest leaves & another will join later. They charged $27.5/day, admin fee to change a guest name!? This was after suggesting that we cancel with Trip.com & rebook again with the correct names. We told them it doesn’t make sense to do that & it was disappointing that they couldn’t offer any solution to a customer who just gave them 10 days of business & being a Riu Class member loyal to this chain.

My stay at the Crowne plaza was awesome. The staff was so lovely! The breakfast was very good - fresh eggs, juice, fruit, decent coffee, and a couple of Panamanian favorites as well. The room was clean and fresh. Plus, having the pool on the stopover was a great way to relax a bit - plenty of shade in the pool area. The shuttle service to and from the airport is free and easy. The only thing is that it comes and goes just once an hour, so that could be improved for convenience.

Enjoyed our stay at the Aloft Panama! The hotel offers a great value for the price. The hotel is clean and the beds and rooms are comfortable. The location was great as well. The Multiplaza Mall is within walking distance “less than a mile away”. An Uber to Casco Viejo was less than $5. You also have direct indoor access to the Sheraton Grand next door, which has a 24 hour Pasteleria. Would definitely stay again.

This is a new hotel built right before the pandemic and is a mall. Which has a foodcourt a number of shopping stores, pharmacy, normal and Kosher supermarket and great health clinic. I have stayed here in 3 different rooms on different floors. As I was in and out of the country for the month. They were all little studios with own kitchen, refrigerator, counter top, couch, desk and bedroom. All the rooms had views of the Pacific. The rooms and hotel were very clean except for the 13th floor on the occasion that I was there where they had a problem with the ice machine which had expelled water which went into the carpet and left that horrid smell. The floors in the room were of wood and ceramic. The beds were king and the view was spectacular. It’s located right in an area where if you can hop on the highway and go to Costa del Este or into the city. Not far from the mallas and has a small ***** mall next to it with stores, restaurants and another supermarket. The breakfast is not the greatest, the fruits and bread are acceptable the rest I wasn’t to thrilled with BUT you can go down from 07:00 hrs to 3rd floor and get coffee and pastries from the foodcourt. Which was ok for me. The staff was friendly and cooperative while the hotel was very safe. Did notice that during check in/checkout there were long lines at the reception. Would be advise that you look into checking in after 17:00. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was everything I expected to see at a Marriott. Great bed, pillows, sheets, clean etc etc. Breakfast, well it was my first day in Panama so I didn't realize how expensive it was for food here. So I felt like it was over priced for a basic buffet. I've had better buffets in much cheaper hotels in very expensive places such as iceland so... Also the price online we different from what I was charged which was irritating. Also when I asked the server how to pay earlier, by charge to the room or here (he had just asked me for my room number) he stated he would get back to me. He never did, despite my asking for water. And a spoon. And cream. Because none of this was supplied to me and not available at the buffet. So when I saw other people just up and leaving without paying a bill I assumed it would be charged to the room. And since the server still wasn't around when I was leaving, I just left. When I went to pay the bill that night it was a disaster and took nearly an hour to sort out. And I got called back down to the front desk twice for this. Then I got three calls at random times through the night from some automated Spanish speaking thing and my 2 am Spanish was not up to translation. I tried calling the front desk to ask what was going on. I assumed maybe incorrectly entered wake up calls. But there was no answer. It just rang. This happened twice and the third time I just disconnected the phone. Not thrilled with this stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights to be able to acclimatise to the weather in Panama. We got a room with windows to the floor, which gives a nice touch for the view over the city. The room is ok, spacious, but worn out. Specially the bathroom is in need of a make-over. The beds were mixed, one had a good mattress the other a soft one with a dent in it. Wifi worked very well. Very friendly staff. My main reason for 3 starts is that this hotel advertises itself as adhering to Planet 21, (link to Accor Planet 21 site removed  ) meaning amongst others that they are reducing food waste. Well, have a look at the pictures here and you'll see that a small portion of jelly is in a plastic cup, the abricot jam is in plastic, the butter is in plastic, and the youghurt as well. The third picture shows you the waste after having had breakfast... I know I have a sweet tooth ;) So, not really planet 21...

I loved everything about the hotel and the food was on point and the hotel is very clean. The only thing that worried me is the was the quietness where my room was, it made us overthink a little but that didn’t stop anything we still enjoyed it. We reserved here for ease of pickup for our main event. This trip was planned around a full transit of the canal, which is only offered one Saturday a month with only certain hotels being pick up sites. We got 2 nights in an upgraded room for 18,000 points. We must have had a free night thrown in. We easily walked to El Trapiche and had an interesting Panamanian Feast and drinks. We were there the 18th and left the 20th. We had drinks and food at the hotel. And service was always good, no matter how busy they were. Food and drinks were good. (Cubano at the Cafe was awesome!) Check in was smooth and room was ready early. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly and helpful. Check out was a little slow, but you're not in America, so it was fine. You can't handle everything on line. Our pre-arranged transfer was right on time. The room was clean and well equipped. There was a beer (wine and limited liquor) accross the street, as well as a general market for drugstore items and a diner. We didn't go to the diner. There was also a little bar/restaurant right behind the hotel we didn't get to, but wanted to. We went to a couple of bars and the Cafe in the hotel. All were good. We spent all of Saturday on the canal. Such an interesting, historical adventure!

Average hotel but after reading the reviews before booking this place I was disappointed. The rooms are ok but the rooftop infinity pool was a let down, very small and so cold that only a few people ventured in and soon got out also not enough loungers. Breakfast was very basic but I suppose it was adequate to start your day. The hotel is on a very dirty side street but it seemed safe and there are shops and restaurants close by. Personally I would pay the extra and stay somewhere more central.
