The establishment was wonderful. Extremely friendly staff that made me and my kiddos feel like VIPs. Food was delicious. Had a pickup full of bikes, camping gear, archery equipment, etc. because we were on a Father’s week adventure. I asked if there was another entrance that I could bring it all through and the front desk assured me that everything would be safe. The next morning everything was exactly where it was supposed to be. Thanks for a wonderful stay and the Warchildren will definitely be back!

The hotel is a great value for your money, if your intention is to just stay overnight and hit the road the next day. Clean room, drink vouchers and popcorn upon check in. There is coffee and hot water in the lobby. Restaurant is a great place to grab a bite before heading to bed.

We had two Queen Deluxe rooms. However next to each other they wouldn’t give us the adjoining rooms with a connector door which would have reduced our back and forth knocking. Mattresses hard— but I travel a lot and every hotel must be buying from the same evil mattress company. Pool was great. Food not my favorite from a La Quinta (a powdered egg option, microwaved sausages, biscuits and gravy, assorted breads, packaged oatmeal’s and muffins, waffles. Yogurts, and whole fruit, and cereal boxes.). My biggest complaint if any was housekeepings process of checking rooms could be heard throughout the early morning. They would use a room card and click loudly on each door declaring housekeeping at 8am on a Sunday morning. A light knock would have been so much better to hear. And, also starting an hour later.

A very nice surprise! The room was comfortable and quite large. I was there during a huge snowstorm (it’s ely) and the room was so nice and cozy. It’s right next door to a grocery store so you can pick up anything you need. The room had everything you need to feel right at home!

Our group called ahead 8 hours to reserve ground level adjoining rooms with view of parking lot so we could keep an eye on our u haul. I had stayed at this very same Ely motel 6 about 2 years ago and found it quite satisfactory. When we arrived after driving all day , the manager gave us upper level rooms next to each other (but not adjoining each other). They were facing the empty, defunct, filthy swimming pool and had no view whatsoever of th parking lot. Alright, 0 for 3 but I get it. You cant always get what you want. After schlepping my luggage up to the room, I noticed the smoke alarm was dangling by a wire and appeared non functional. I went to call the front desk... but there was no phone!!! Meanwhile, I noticed an unusual amount of people wandering about outside my room and in the courtyard by the pool. This is late on a Sunday night. I went to the other room we rented, and my friend pointed out : no phone in room, missing smoke detector and a long black hair in the shower. I went down to the desk to complain in person. I noticed two vans parked by my u hauI and people of various ”descriptions” were smoking and milling about. I entered the lobby and waited behind another customer at the window. This went on for 10-15 minutes. The customer was presenting mutiple drivers licences to the clerk behind the glass, apparently accounting for all the folks in the vans. Then the customer requests lower level rooms...and she gets them!!! When I finally talked to manager I said I wanted a refund and would be going elsewhere. He finally issued a refund receipt, less 20$. He said because I took more than 30 minutes to cancel, it would cost me 20$!!! Overall, it was all a very creepy vibe. Although I did not witness criminal activity, my friend and I agreed it made us feel very unsafe. I've always regarded the motel 6 chain as economical, consistent and reasonably well run. Over the years, I've stayed at them dozens of times, all over the country. I will NEVER stay with them again. I'd rather nap at a rest stop.

Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is in two separate buildings, one is on the side with the ****** inside and the other is across the street. We stayed one night, the weather was bad and my wife and I decided to be safe and stop our travel for the night. The room they had was a suite, it was a bit outdated and located in the building across the street from the main building. The room was on the second floor which had no elevator or ramp to get to the second floor leaving my wife who is disabled having to navigate climbing the stairs with my assistance during a thunder/lightning storm. The hall leading to the room although a very short trip from the top of the stairs was poorly lit leaving a sense of not feeling safe in the environment. The room had two entrances, the first entering a patio and the second entering the room. There were two steps leading into the first entrance which was hard to see at night due to the poor lighting in the hallway. As for the room, it looked like a small refurbished studio apartment, The mattress on the bed was broken down to the point I sunk into it when I sat down on it. As I stated at the start of the review the rest of the room needed some upgrades for tech devices such as phone plug-in, USB connections, new blinds on the doors and windows so the sun doesn't shine into the room in the mornings, and maybe something that tells the house keeping your still there so they don't attempt to enter the room while you're getting dressed.

We went there to watch the Silver State Classic road race in ELY Nevada… got the hotel on short notice-after canceling with motel 6, once we saw motel 6… It was pure trash.there are tweakers living there- Called all around, to find a different hotel and Ramada said they had a room - couldn’t be happier with the hotel, and the staff. Great place ! Clean- quiet- and didn’t have to worry about my car getting broken into either. Much better area. Highly recommend this hotel. And the beds were super comfortable!!! They had a real good restaurant upstairs, and a great looking pool/hot tub ( have to try that out next time)

Reviews From Real Travelers
Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall in Ely was a pleasant little gem in the old part of town. We chose this location because we are traveling with our two pups. After doing a search on the BRINGFIDO App, we ended up picking this location. They are pet friendly and allow 2 dogs for a small fee of $15 total. The only issue pertaining to the dogs is that even though there are several open areas and parks within walking distance, there are no fenced in areas where you can just let your pups wander about freely. However, all of the staff we dealt with were dog friendly! They wanted to give them treats whenever we walked by the check-in counter! The interior of the hotel contains so many unique displays of antique items, historical photos and animal mounts such as elk, deer and ram. They definitely put their own touch in decorating! When you enter, unfortunately, you’re greeted by the obnoxious odor of cigarette smoke. If you are non-smokers, like us, this is definitely a negative! Good new though, smoking is not permitted in the rooms, so, once you get to your room, you escape the smoke. (Except the remnants of it on your hair and clothes.) The rooms are smaller than modern hotel rooms, but it was plenty for us. They’ve kept it pretty original. Wish I had gotten a pic before we made ourselves at home. The four-post bed was a little squeaky but the mattress was comfortable. You get a choice of real flat pillows or real fluffy pillows. It was surprisingly quiet and even though our room looked out onto the main street, we really did not hear any street noise. Nor did we hear any of our neighbors next to or above us. Complimentary items in the room were numerous!(coffee, bottled water, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, facial wipes) Although it is very obvious that it is a really old hotel. It’s really run down, but it was clean and smelled fresh. It would be a lot of fun to refurbish the rooms one at a time but still keeping the historical feel. With our booking, we received two free drink tickets for a beer or margarita. We also got two free breakfast vouchers (Original Grand Slam and coffee) for Denny’s, which is located inside of the hotel. The Denny’s is no longer open 24 hours though. The wait staff advised that it was due to the changes they made during COVID. Could eventually get back to normal when people decide they want to work again! We would stay here again. Lots of friendly people! Lots of character! And the price was reasonable. ($95.34 a night plus the $15 for our pups)

Left Vegas to get out of 4th of July traffic. Hotel Nevada was a great price. Can’t beat it. Denny’s was a plus. Love the king size bed. Thank you! We would stay again! Clean ******. Close to other ******s and restrauants. People were really friendly and helpful. Free parking out back of hotel.

If you're coming into Ely from the east you'll see from the signage that there are two Magnusons. Though if you see someone who looks like a dead ringer for The Guy from HBO's ”High Maintenance” you're probably at the wrong one (and breathing a sigh of relief on learning that, as it looks pretty run-down) The Park Vue stays true to hotel-court ”roots”, where maybe 50 years ago you'd roll into town and that's what everything was. But hey, it's COVID-ERA now and that's apparently forced a few changes, like a bit of diminishment in the breakfast offerings. Also, the ice machine was broken in a not-sure-it's-temporary sort of way, which is a ding. Room was OK though a bit tired in places, like with a carpet stain or two and the sink/shower appearing to have gone quite some time without an update. TV selection was pretty good, including enough channels to get MSNBC. And Korean baseball on ESPN, with the crowd cut-outs behind home plate and canned audience noises. What could be more Covidian than that? The lady at the counter was nice, though I had only the initial interaction. Location is a plus, as you can walk to the downtown ****** or two (or a bar), tie one on, head to the Big 4 for a happy-ending massage, drink some more and not have to get behind the wheel for any of it. Though all that's mostly a fantasy with the virus shutdowns hobbling it while I was there. You'd have to settle for Denny's. (Also, the lone 420 dispensary isn't in walking range). So overall I'd say it's 2-stars at best on standards and not the place you'd go if wanting something at or near the top of the market, but if you're looking for something budgety and can get a decent deal then it should be in the hunt.
