The 7 of us had a lovely stay at the hotel, it is a historic hotel so not really many mod cons like you'd have at a city motel, like air con, sky tv and the modern room services, but the staff were amazing and they were very short staffed, and most staff were on duty from breaky to close. The food was to die for, I think over the 4 days we tried at least 1 of everything and it was all 10/10 A free continental breakfast is available to guest, and each morning there were delicious surprises for the guests, which had you guessing each day what it would be, and hoping for donuts The cabins were kept very nice, clean, warm and towels were serviced daily, a few things had been removed from the room but on request we were given replacements, such as fan (it was 24c), a hand basin plug and a missing tv remote, each cabin had its on spa pool which we had on cold as it was refreshing, coffee/tea were available also but no milk. On the grounds there is a camping ground, tennis course (rackets available) , 3 thermal spring pools, a 9 hole golf course (clubs available to hire) a bar area with a cool jukebox, outdoor cafe/restaurant area, indoor restaurant and internally there were lots of comfy rest areas to sit and chill or play chess/drafts or read and books were also available. I'd recommend this place to all, it was def a great venue for our group to spnd new year, we would go back for sure, and the staff made it the experience it was, thank you each and everyone of you

This camp site used to be a family favorite, but the new owners have ruined it for me. The price has almost doubled, which would have been acceptable if the service and amenities were on par. The signs advertise ”all day” hot pools, which turns out to have a limit of times you can enter per day. I used them 1-2 times a day over my 3 day stay but was locked out on my last night. After being locked out I was told that the ”all day” pools are limited on how many times you can open the gate (which was not advertised or mentioned at the desk), and that I ”got a pretty good deal anyway, so too bad” and ”everyone knows how it works so you should plan better”. They then suggested I knock on the doors and tents of fellow campers and ask to use their access cards instead. Not only is this rude but it would limit their number of accesses according to the owners rules, so this was a poor excuse. One of the 2 male toilets was completely boarded up and unusable. The hot pool changing rooms look and smell as if they haven't cleaned under the floor boards in a very long time. On one of the nights they came down and asked to borrow our gate key to the ”secure” campsite because the owners lost theirs. I was then asked to keep the gate unlocked overnight, but they did not appear to visit any other campers to tell them this. On top of this there are wild roosters that crow from 5am. When I tried to bring up these issues with the owners I was mocked and told ”how else would we make money?” and ”you'll understand one day when you have a business”. Completely disgusting attitudes from the owners who have little respect for their guests.
