This resort is amazing, we had such a beautiful welcome as soon as we came in. We were looked after really well. The hotel catered for all our needs. A big thankyou to Liza and Faye in the management team, who went above and beyond and ensured we were comfortable and were having a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend the spa treatments with Elisa, Marianna and Kiki. The treatment they provided were first class, they take their time to sit with you and ensure you are picking the right treatment for yourself. The ambience during the treatment is the best i have had. A big thankyou to Shirley and Eileen in catering who provided with great service and great food. The best resort i have been to by far and recommend to all.

Lovely hotel, a good 4 out of 5 from me The hotel is impressive looking, especially at night. The pools are lovely and staff great. I was especially touched by the effort Irina, Debi and Demitris put into make sure my partner had a very special 60th birthday at the resort. The hotel group also own a farm which you can visit and enjoy a fabulous meal as part of the package. A sister hotel has a water park which we enjoyed too. Our room was a fabulous location with a little garden leading right out to the pool. It was a little dated but perfectly functional. The swim up rooms looked amazing but i rarely saw people in the water. Not sure how suited they would be for kids. My one frustration was the a la carte restaurants. You have to book 6 days in advance and you are limited as to how many times you can use them. Although the buffet was by far one of the best we have experienced, we much prefer to have an a la carte dinner. We maxed out our booking slots (accepting we would have a handful of buffet meals, but did this before we knew about the hotel entertainment schedule. We had to forgo two a la carte restaurants in order to enjoy the entertainment. Also worth noting for families that one restaurant is only available for 12+ guests and another published on the website is only open in high season so we had a greek, Italian and asain available to us. The hotel has a lovely chocolate shop and does fabulous desserts (although very chocolate based). There is a crepe and waffle place open till 6pm. the buffet closes after mealtimes. I understand the bar offers late night snacks. The drinks are good quality although I have to say the drinks from the long bar by the restaurants are by far superior. Shame there isn’t a lounge area to sit at there. Would I go again, probably. I must admit though the offer at Mitsis with the creperie open til 2am and the a la carte ‘street food’ by the pool is a bit more suited to our tastes.

Warm greetings from Germany! This was my fourth visit to Grecotel Caramel Boutique Hotel, and as always we had a wonderful time there! The resort has a magical atmosphere and a very beautiful setting, full of different flowers and plants as well as a gorgeous beach. A perfect place to relax and enjoy! But what makes this hotel so special is the pleasent team✨ I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for ensuring that my stay was delightful and comfortable! A special commendation to Mr. Alex from the a la carte restaurant. Together with his stellar team, they truly exceeded expectations. The culinary delights, from main courses to desserts and drinks, were not only of the highest quality but also tantalizingly delicious and beautifully presented. Every evening I enjoyed great food, live music, and a lovely service. My warmest appreciation goes out to the entire staff! Their kindness, efficiency, hospitality and genuine warmth contributed immensely to the overall experience! Lovely greetings and a thank you to the beautiful ladies with sweet hearts: Soula, Litsa, Konstantina, Maria, and the gentlemen: Oggy, Grigorios, Dimitri, Arbri, and of course everybody else!!! My friend and I wanted alittle get away and this was perfect, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and had drinks and small buffet and drinks for us/anyone who arrives late after a long flight. We got shown to our room which we weren’t happy with because it was a terrace room and weren’t comfortable with people looking in walking past however because it was nearly 2am we just wanted to sleep. Next morning we went to reception and explained and they very kindly moved us to a different room which we were SO HAPPY with. They moved everything across for us and had a bottle of wine and snacks put in the room too 🥰 the all inclusive was lovely as it was my first one I’ve ever done. If you are looking for chill nice vibes this is the place if you just want to relax. The main bar was abit slow with drinks in the evening but understandable as it was busy but ended up in the other bar down the bottom, it’s outside and a lot quieter which means we got serviced quicker. You got fresh pool towels whenever you wanted. I would recommend to anyone if you looking for a nice peaceful holiday 🤍

The hotel is pleasantly located by the sea, 30 minutes walk from the port, with a pretty garden. The swimming pools are very pleasant and the deckchairs comfortable. The staff is pleasant, smiling, but not up to standard for a hotel of this standard. Training problems are obvious: tables not necessarily cleared, non-compliance with orders. The rooms were not cleaned very well, and often we had to ask reception to have it corrected. I regret having paid extra for a suite, whereas with a classic sea view room the view was much more beautiful, and the facilities of the classic room were better: my terrace lacked something to put wet clothes on for to dry them, in the bathroom no shelf to put things on, it's really problematic for an establishment of this standard. Just like in the wardrobe, it was impossible to put the clothes down, I had to leave them on the desk even though there was a lot of empty space that could have been used as a shelf. This is not normal. The valet parking service is appreciable. Overall I am satisfied with my stay, but you have to be careful, because the price is high and the services are not necessarily up to par. 

Whilst our experience as a couple was such that it was hard to not give 5 stars, the Royal Senses is not quite 5 star but well on its way to being so with a few tweaks. The staff are undoubtedly magnificent, particularly in the restaurant where there is clearly a strong team ethic which is focussed on customer service. The buffet was of a high standard, with the desserts being the clear highlight. After 5 or 6 evening meals there was the sense that the food became samey, however they did have the Mitato à la càrte upon to offer some variety, and this was very good indeed. sadly, the cretamos was not open (too early on the season, perhaps) and this did mean the choices beyond the buffet restaurant were limited unless you visited the sister hotel, royal blue, a short walk from the hotel. Location wise, the hotel is remote.Rethymno is a 25 minute cab ride away, and a good option for a day trip or evening meal. Facilities wise, the pools looking out to sea looked great, but the mid-May weather made swimming a little less appealing.Nonetheless, the pools are beautiful and very long. We didn’t try the Spa or the gym. We were very surprised by the sheer number of babies and toddlers present during our stay. I’ll be honest, it became a bit of an issue during the buffet evening meals, with a fair few screaming child taking the romance down a notch. The resort seems to market itself as a family-friendly location and one for couples, and I struggle with that, particularly when restaurants are not being opened early season. We enjoyed fantastic sunsets from the restaurant, and took walks down to the quiet beach pretty each day rather than lie by the pool. The pool areas were busy, and it’s possible that some of those enjoying the pool had taken the walk up the hill from the Royal Blue hotel. There’s lots going for this hotel.The staff are possibly the best I’ve encountered anywhere, and the food was very good and facilities very good. We had a nice week but will likely seek out a more adult-oriented hotel for our next beach adventure. That’s not the fault of the hotel, but more a reflection of society today, where those with very young children are not interested in doing what’s right for their children but what is right for them.
