Modern Courtyard - clean and well maintained. Rooms are nice and spacious. Quiet location so not noise at night. Parking downstairs very convenient. Did not have breakfast as they charge €24 which is a too high price tag for a Courtyard breakfast. Bar: cozy and very friendly staff. Reception staff: you may run into long waits as the reception also assumes concierge duties which may results in rather lengthy conversations. That is a bit of an issue. We witnessed a nearly endless conversation about where free parking can be found. That is a no-go. Also, strange handling of the EUR 10 per day and person F&B credit you get as Premium client. They base it on US$, thenn apply Fx to equate it to EUR and then install the credit That results in you spending EUR 20 (rouding it up to 20 with tips) at the bar and the running into a EUR 3.96 additional charge (Fx delta EUR 1.98 per person). Total non-sense a bit cheap as well. No other non-US Courtyard I ever stayed does it like that. That is the sort of stuff they should put an end to - it just leaves a mixed impression despite the hotel itself being of good quality. That is a pitty but I have made such experience a few times in Europe this year - maybe a post-Covid attempt to recover cash. God knows. And: watch you Bonvoy account - points don't show up promptly. Again god knows why.

Arrived at hotel and checked in, this was seamless and staff were so friendly and welcoming, went to my room and room was nice and clean and couldn’t find anything wrong with it, good size and believe the hotel was newish, meet some colleagues in the bar and had some dinner and food was loverly and drinks and bar service was also good, then in the morning went to breakfast and again nice selection and food was nice and tasty and really enjoyed it, I was not expecting this from a courtyard and was expecting a little worse it they lived way above my expectations.

The quality is first class and the bathroom is clean. It is very clean! Give praise! It’s a lot better than the room I stayed in in other European cities. I’ll stay in this city again for the next time, and feel the dream again!

Reviews From Real Travelers
The Stadtoase Kolping Hotel is located in a rather quiet street with hardly any traffic, close to the Linz new cathedral and at a walking distance from the city center where most of the interesting and cultural points of the city find themselves. It's an excellent hotel having everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff members are nearly all of them very kind, helpful and friendly. One can get from the ladies working at the front desk all the necessary guidance to take as much profit as possible of one's stay in the marvellous city of Linz. In addition to that, they are always ready to give the best advice for the benefit of the customers even at the former's own initiative. The hotel parking is at the same level as the ground floor. Upon leaving the parking on foot through a door on the left hand side thereof as one drives into it, one finds himself at the reception area, what turns out to be very convenient as far as acceding into the hotel building is concerned, the more so if a heavy luggage is carried. Once inside, the fabulous atmosphere reigning in the premises is perceived. There is something special inside, something magical about which cannot be described but that sensitive people feel and thus makes them think that by choosing that hotel at least the best option has been selected. The room I was allocated is very nice and comfortable, as well as peaceful. I hardly heard any noise during the whole stay at the hotel, which was essential for the enjoyment resulting from visiting the mentioned city. The bed was indeed comfortable, its mattress having the necessary toughness for getting the adequate rest. The other pieces of furniture in the bedroom are also very appropriate particularly the table desk where I could get some work done. It's up to the guests to decide whether or not the bedroom is cleaned up on the days they deem convenient, which could be, by the way, the entire period of their stay. That's a great idea. By hanging the right card on the room door handle, one may have the certainty that while he is out visiting some interesting places nobody will enter his room and touch his belongings. That's very reassuring and besides it's extremely good for the environment. The breakfast is also excellent. Everything offered for that meal is of a high quality. The pastry and the fruits are very good and tasty as well as the orange juice. The breakfast room is decorated in such a way that the mere fact of being there makes one feel in high spirits. Owing to all the aforesaid elements, the time dedicated to having the stated meal can turn out to be a great moment and thus one of the best ways to start the day. The hotel concerned is therefore by all means a recommendable place to stay in Linz. The fact of lodging in there makes of course more pleasant the visit to that charming city. One would never quit that hotel once inside. Such a stay is absolutely an unforgettable experience which one is always wishing to repeat.

We stayed two nights in this hotel to see Xmas markets. The hotel has got an excelent location, only a short walk from the railway station and a stone' s throw from the cathedral. The main square is very near the hotel. Breakfast is delicious, a variety of cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, a good choice of bread, fruits, vegetables, a facility to make fresh juices, teas and coffees. Absolutely fabulous. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are equipped with a fridge and a safe. Toiletries are provided. The hotel is in a quiet street so light sleepers won ´t have a problem. Beds are very comfortable. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Highly recommended.

Really nice hotel with friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and facilities. Quirky decorations. Two minus points. The chairs in the bedrooms are uncomfortable, heavy and due to the design you keep bashing your toes against the legs. The rather open nature of the shower and toilet will not be to everyone’s taste. On my own it was fine. The music at breakfast was also interesting and not at all intrusive, over seven days we had Sade, Pearl Jam, Coldplay and others. I loved this. Just reiterate it was not intrusive.

Style, quiet, at the same time centrally located city hotel near the Danube. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom (despite glass windows to the bedroom) is well designed. The staff at the reception impressed me as competent and very friendly. I find breakfast overpriced - but it is uncomplicated in a short distance from the hotel, to breakfast in the cafe. The room doors are unfortunately NOT quietly closed. The balcony doors cannot be kicked.

On the first night in Europe, I fell asleep before I could even see the room clearly, and woke up hungry at 4am. The location is OK, but you still need to walk a distance from the train station, but it is very convenient around. The breakfast is good. The underground garage parking space is not very spacious, and parking requires skills. It is recommended to stay. The bed is very comfortable and easy to sleep. The hotel is next to **, you can try it. You will walk through a street park when you walk from the train station. I was moved by the serious chess playing by the uncles... Next time, try to live in a smaller town.

The hotel is not far from the train station! Although there was a problem at check-in, the front desk staff helped me out without any hassle. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to use Linz as a stopover.

Underwhelmed. River view is beautiful, rooms are clean and modern. Beds are comfort. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. BUT the hotel is only good if you are here for work and don't plan to stay in the room to rest. Otherwise, expect to hear every single noise the people in the rooms above and next to you, and in the hallways, make. Everything housekeeping did, all their conversations, and all their door slamming and furniture moves, could be heard in the morning. So you can forget sleeping in. And forget keeping your windows open for fresh air during the day. There's constant construction noise ruining the beautiful Danube river view. And at night, you'll be kept awake because people stay out drinking and talking loudly in the courtyard till late hours into the night. Apparently the hotel does not ask them to mind the noise pollution so people in their rooms are not awakened.

Modern hotel with all amenities. The rooms and beds were excellent. And rooms are extremely well soundproof so no noise from the motorway at all. We really appreciated the air con as it was so hot when we were there. Lovely terrace and breakfast.

There is no breakfast service during Christmas. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but the transportation is very convenient. Parking is available around the hotel. There is a reception and bar in the lobby on the first floor. The interior of the hotel is very clean and styled.

We arrived in the evening and were welcomed kindly and politely, even the taxi order was no problem at all. The hotel's transport connection is super, on the one hand it is just next to the highway, on the other hand it is also publicly quite well reached. The rooms were comfortable furnished and had everything you need on a business trip, the Wi-Fi is free and Sky was included in the price. The only point of decline in my stay was that in the shower (most likely) was fungus in the fugs. Unfortunately, I noticed it very late, so I didn't talk about it at all because it was not the most important in my eyes. All in all I would come back, for a business trip, just the right, only for the shower there is a point deduction.

Very central comfortable hotel. Views over the city of Linz outstanding. The Cathedral is right next door but the clock can wake you up as it chimes every quarter of an hour, so ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. In just a stones throw there are some good restaurants and the shopping centre just round the corner.

What a miserable hotel. Booked 5 nights and left after 3 nights. Location was great. Rooms okay. But the staff!! Really need training in customer service. Appalling service. On Check in not a word, but just a piece of paper shoved at us to complete. Young girl with black hair had serious attitude problem. Next morning went down to have breakfast. Just totally ignored. Older guy with pony tail made eye contact and turned his back on us. Seemed more interested chatting with receptionist. Do we wait to be seated or just sit somewhere? No idea. Like I said just ignored. We went elsewhere to get food. In the 3 days we stayed there not once were we spoken to. Stay elsewhere, where you may get a bit of service or something. We have spent 6 months in the last 18 months travelling around Europe. Never experienced anything like it. Shocking hotel.

Something is located from the centre, but with the bus (3 stations) is well accessible. Friendly service at the reception. Modern facilities of the clean and large room. It is disturbing that the hotel guests are going to/from the deep garage through the breakfast room.
