We got married at Loch Ness Country House last weekend. We arrived with our families on the Friday, before our wedding on the Saturday. Arran and Graham (and the rest of the staff) were fantastic - attending to every detail, including our two small children who were the more demanding of the wedding guests! They made us all feel completely relaxed and were very professional and personable throughout our stay. Despite having over 80 guests they put us completely at ease and the whole day ran perfectly. The food was amazing, as was the service! They even arranged for more aperol to be delivered on the Sat afternoon for the bridesmaids. We have the most fantastic memories and cannot recommend them highly enough. Our only complaint is that our weekend was over too quickly!! Clare and Michael

We stayed here for my husband’s 60th birthday and had the most amazing time! All the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We were so well looked after. The food was exceptional and we dined in on both evenings. The hotel has such a lovely atmosphere and we left feeling we’d been really spoiled and well rested. We will definitely be staying again.

On the banks of the Inverness River, the parking lot is not very big. When we came back at night, there was no parking space. We were given a place where we could park far away. Anyway, we just passed by for one night. Sky Island didn’t have a reserved room and stayed there This is it, later I found that the scenery of Loch Ness seems to be better. But half an hour to the north, there is a cape where you can see dolphins. It is said that you can see them even if you go there. We waited for more than ten minutes to see two dolphins.

A new hotel with relatively new facilities and a good surrounding environment. AC's main product is a boutique express hotel with beautiful scenery. It has everything you need, but it is far from sophisticated. The room is small. If you want to book a double bed room, it is best to confirm the bed size with the hotel, whether it is 1.8m or 1.5m. If you are tall, you need to check with the hotel and make a note of the room type. We booked two rooms for this trip. One is in the middle of the hotel and has a regular room type. The other is similar to an attic room and is particularly unfriendly to tall people and children.

A previous reviewer was really down on the King's Club which is a newer adjunct to the older Kingsmill Hotel where the main dining room and bar are located. I'm not sure if we could both be reviewing the same place. First of all I found the staff very helpful and nor clueless as suggested. The rooms are quite nice and I really enjoyed the outdoor patio with the Inverness golf course only a few feet away. Watching and chatting with passing golfers and dog walkers was a bonus. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom which had a separate bathtub & shower. The breakfast buffet was quite nice if not over the top and the fruit was not old as suggested and the eggs were not disgusting. In fact they were presented exactly as at the Gleneagles resort which is definitely five star. It was an easy fifteen minute walk into the heart of Inverness. Overall I would certainly recommend the King's Club.

We got married at the hotel on October 1st and what can I say.. it was everything we wanted and more. From the initial planning to the day itself, the staff were just incredible. They made us feel completely at ease amongst all the wedding nerves and were on hand whenever we needed them. A massive thank you to Kevin and Aileen who did such a great job on the day, we couldn’t thank you enough ❤️

Pros: 1- spacious living area and bedroom. 2 - the team was very responsive and had someone at our door to help with a question. 3- the location is right on the main Drag so your close to everything. Cons: 1 - because your on the Main Street the traffic and club noise is loud. We were there on a Saturday night in July. The room was hot and wanted to keep our windows open but the the clubs below us were extremely loud. 2- they don’t leave any readable instructions for the appliances and just have a binder full of operation manuals from the manufacturer. Not very helpful
- Guest User
Very good, the only downside is that there is no front desk, you need to call to check in. Will give a code as the key. Those who do not speak English should use it with caution!

This is an exceptional hotel with a staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay special. We arrived to be greeted at the door with help with our luggage by Vicky. She gave us some highlights and sent us out to explore. Upon returning, our bags were on our room, and Sava helped us settle in. The breakfast was the best in Scotland. Everything was fresh and the table beautifully set. The service and food were expertly done. Seva helped us get a taxi and is an expert in her field. This was the best experience of our whole trip.

This was our 1st visit to Rocpool reserve unfortunately it will be our last. We booked for a bar meal and on arriving were virtually the only people in the bar despite being told we could only be fitted in at a certain time. We ordered wine and a meal with Charcuterie which we assumed would come as a starter. After at least40 mins our mains arrived I asked about our starter to be told it would be served alongside the main. I explained to the waiter I didn’t think this was right and asked for it to be taken away. On paying the Charcuterie was removed from the Bill, I payed in cash and was told there was no change available and they would have to raid the tip jar. A female who appeared to be the front of house manager approached us and I explained that I was not impressed by the service,(not the waiter) starter coming with main. To which she replied, you wouldn’t believe what some people ask for. I didn’t find her approach helpful or understanding and it was like she was trying to just bat me off. She said it must have been the way it was put through the till. A beautiful setting but what kitchen sends a sharing starter with a main. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ do not mix this place up with the real Rocpool across the river.

Very nice hotel, well situated and adequate for our needs, not much can be found at fault with this place staff were pleasant and attended to our request when asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely dreadful experience here. My husband and I were involved in a car accident en route to this hotel. We explained on arrival that we would be unable to stay the second night we had booked, due to the car being repaired in Aberdeen a couple of hours away.Staff were absolutely dreadful, really didn't care one single bit, said they couldn't refund us as we had already paid in full, (over £350 for 2 nights), the fact that wed been in an accident didn't make any difference. Tried calling customer service multiple times but kept being cut off, the staff assured us it was a uk number, but we had actually been calling the Philippines multiple times from our mobile phone to no avail. Have been attempting to communicate with customer services since but nobody understands a word I am saying, finally got another email from hotel today pretty much telling us ”you're not getting your money back, we've already told you that” Absolutely shocking, I am a 'premium elite points member', which counts for nothing, will never stay in a Radisson Hotel again.

This is what the Trip Advisor site says: “Loch Ness Lodge is an elegant and intimate retreat - a luxury B&B - in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, which brings together the very best of traditional Scottish architecture and contemporary design. With seven sumptuous, individually designed bedrooms, elegant reception rooms, a spa and therapy area and access to some of Scotland's most stunning scenery, Loch Ness Lodge has everything you could need for an unforgettable break.” Unfortunately, it’s not quite true. Although a lovely B&B, it does not have a spa or therapy rooms nor does it have everything you need for an unforgettable break. If you are an American and think you are getting 5 star lodge, you will be disappointed as were we. It has none of the amenities we are accustomed to at a 5 star facility based on US standards. It is indeed a lovely Bed and Breakfast with superb service. When the manager realized we were disappointed he offered a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was very generous. The staff goes over and above to make guests feel welcome. We appreciated that. The room had a great view of the Loch Ness and was comfortably appointed. Other than breakfast, there are no meals served here. You can request a charcuterie plate in advance. For lunch or dinner you must walk down a hill to a nearby restaurant (The Clansman). Otherwise, you have to get a taxi into Inverness (about 20 minutes). The hill makes it unadvisable for people with mobility issues. Overall, if you are interested in an upscale B&B you will appreciate Loch Ness Lodge and its wonderfully hospitable staff.

After having two bookings cancelled over the last two years, we finally got to make our trip back to Inverness arriving on the 8th March for two nights as a birthday treat. We were booked on a great package for a two night stay that included breakfast, two course dinner for one night, afternoon tea and a free cocktail at dinner. Check in was easy and we received friendly service from the reception staff, who stored our bags for us until the room was ready, due to us having arrived early on the Caledonian Sleeper train. Our accommodation was in a Royal room which was large and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy and super king in size. The afternoon tea was quite nice, with tasty sandwiches etc, but the evening meal in our opinion was exceptional, with very attentive service from the restaurant staff. We had the steak (where there was a supplement) and the salmon, which was absolutely piping hot and just so delicious. The crème brûlée for our deserts were also really enjoyable. There were a list of cocktails to choose from, and you could exchange for wine beer or cider if preferred. The hot breakfast the next morning also was delicious, very tasty and well cooked, and mine had gorgeous scrambled eggs. You could help yourself to juices, drinks and buffet offerings like cereals and pastries etc. The staff overall all provide brilliant, friendly and efficient service after what must have been an horrendous two years. One lady in particular that oversees breakfast, provides exceptional service. Yes this hotel is dated, (if I was being really picky then I’d say some furniture needs replacing), but it adds to the character and charm somehow, and we just love it. This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and certainly will again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Really disappointing experience compared with the photos displayed on their website. Here on business for four nights. On my first night I was allocated a room with a connecting door, the guests next door returned to the hotel around 11.30pm and played music till 3am. It felt like they were in the room with me. I honestly don’t think they were that loud, just absolutely no sound proofing in the room. I requested a room change as I had confidential calls to make, the reception quickly allocated another room for me, but based on the accommodation areas it is just a very tired hotel. Tight entrance into room and toilet area. Have to say lovely breakfast and food in the restaurant was good, as are the staff. Sorry would not choose to return.

Friendly and efficient staff. Room was large and comfortable. Decor perhaps a little tired but we e were lucky enough to have a river view. Breakfast very nice but not such a fan of the tick box menu. The time it takes for staff to explain, check and make any amendments could be spent just taking order. I can understand that it is more convenient for the wait staff though in busy periods or with large groups.

We stayed at The Penta from Sunday, July 17 through Thursday July 21, 2022. That Monday, we had a private tour of the Isle of Skye, and got back to the hotel at about 8:30 PM. We were tired and went to the hotel restaurant for dinner at about 8:50 PM, right before it closed. My wife ordered salmon. Huge mistake. At home, we would never order fish on a Monday, and especially not during a heat wave. But, we were on holiday and let our guard down. My wife is a physician (internal medicine), and based on the timing and severity of her symptoms, as well as her prior meal, she is extremely confident the salmon was bad. (My son and I ate burgers.) The next two days were a nightmare. She was in bed all day Tuesday, alternating between vomiting and violent, putrid diarrhea. We had a private tour booked to Glencoe on Wednesday, and were so thankful that it was not a bus tour. Our guide, Andy, stopped often for her, but we finally had to cut the tour short. This was truly disappointing as we flew to Scotland from NY for this vacation. I informed the chef of our suspicion on Wednesday evening. He told me he did not work on Monday night, but would look into it. He seemed genuinely sympathetic, but I never heard back. I also informed the front desk staff, who were similarly sympathetic, but I heard nothing from them, either. I was really disappointed by the utter lack of follow-up. Food poisoning is a serious health concern, and everybody apparently blew it off. If you are considering staying here, let me provide an honest assessment of the hotel below. Restaurant (F) See above. It earned this failing grade. Staff (B-) Over our stay, I interacted with four or five people, and they could not have been more polite and helpful EXCEPT FOR THE UTTER LACK OF ATTENTION TO OUR FOOD POISONING REPORT. i asked for a fan because the hotel, like most in the city, has no a/c. They provided two, which really helped. They were all friendly and nice. I would give the staff a solid A were it not for the food poisoning incident. Amenities (A+) The hotel bar is nice, and features a pool table and very ample, comfortable seating, including couches and tables. I enjoyed playing pool with my son while my wife recuperated in bed. The lounge bathrooms were modern, large, and spotless. The fitness center is quite good, with everything you need for a decent workout, and even has a tv and sound system. Plus, you can reserve the room for an hour. Location (A+) The Penta is a 5-minute walk from the train station, and is really close to wonderful pubs, restaurants, shops, etc. You can walk everywhere you need to be. Room (C-) We paid for the premium room, but there was absolutely nothing premium about it. The room was small, much smaller than we expected after looking at the photos online, and very, very sp****. There are no closets, so you get to hang your clothes on a hipster metal pipe that is attached to a desk. That said, the room was clean and serviced n
