Beautiful tropical island. Hotel service and food was amazing. They have free snorkeling. I once visited Yasawa islands in Fiji. This place is not too different. Very nice views. Excellent staff. I would recommend a 2 to 3 night stay for leisurely travellers who just want to relax. If you're a sightseeing traveller, you can see the sights easily through a one night stay

The first room was terrible, dirty even the sheets. Curtains were disgusting, with drinks stains. Second room that they changed was better. But overall, the resort should not call itself resort, from 3 pm you don’t find anything for eat, so if you want to have late lunch be careful. Note that they don’t have smart TVs (consider themselves as a 4 start resort it is necessary). Just local channels and some movies, if you don’t speak English for sure this is not the hotel for you. The last complaint is about room service. They never pick up for that, and when I finally got someone in the line, they told me room service was until 8 pm. Not good for price and absolutely not worthy as 4 star resort. Hoping the Chinese owner improves this because not in the same quality as any other resort in the Whitsundays despite the beautiful island

After reading very mixed reviews, we went ahead and booked it. The result: very mixed feelings. The location was beautiful, the sights breathtaking, the animals adorable, but when it came to actually spending time there, there wasn’t much to do. We arrived on a later ferry so we knew we wouldn’t have much time to enjoy the sun after arrival, however because of a mix up, our suitcases went missing for an hour making us miss any chance of getting in the pool while it was hot out. After, we went for dinner. There are only 2 restaurants available, and without making a reservation before hand, it’s a bit hard to go when you want. The food was ok, but expensive as one would expect from a place like this. Once dinner was finished, the evening entertainment (Alice in Wonderland screening) was already underway and we found ourselves with nothing to do at 9pm. Early night for us. The following day we planned a day of snorkelling, stingray feeding and kayaking. We appreciated the free snorkel gear as well as the clear safety instructions and recommendations of the lifeguard. The sting Ray feeding experience was amazing and it was clear the staff knew what they were talking about and were passionate about the animals. Kayaking and other water sports were cancelled however because of the high winds, leaving us, once again, with nothing to do. Early dinner (very entertaining moment with wallabies attempting to steal our food and being super cuddly), a walk around the beach, movie in the room, and early bedtime. So all in all, beautiful location with great experiences of the weather allow, make sure to bring some entertainment if the water is too cold to swim in the pool or the weather turns sour. Maybe a book or some board games? Also: if you want food in the late afternoon, make sure you bring some snacks as there is a limited selection available.

I think overall it was good to stay.....the service was great. The staff were great as they all greet me with a smile and very helpful. Overall I had a wonderful experience. The only problem was the cups in the toilet I found some marks, luckily I had some Dettol wipes. So just that little bit of problem. Otherwise overall experience is great!

Best resort to stay and best place for family and couple vocation. Beautiful room and amenities, amazing swimming pools in front of the beach. Good view restaurant with variety of cuisine type. Highly recommended.

Really happy. Very beautiful island and resort service very good. Suitable for family trip. And trip app is very convenient. Plan for next holiday.

We enjoyed the accommodation. The restaurants were a little expensive. The reef was in a poor state however the island and beaches were beautiful.

Great place with very friendly staff, super clean. Nice restaurants. Everything was great except breakfast, tiypical Aussie style white toast bread, fruit was gone very quickly, had to pay for coffee . Cheeses selection made up for cheap quality breakfast.

We had a very warm welcome and thought everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and the food was good. Only thing we did not enjoy was the fire alarms going off in the middle of the night 2 out of 3 nights we stayed. I could accept it happening once as it, as faults happen, but the second night, being woken at 2:30am by alarms was not ok. It took a long time to get our young boys back to sleep. My eldest also has anxiety and he has been fixating on the alarms as it has clearly affected him.

Honestly we felt like we were staying in a roadside motel not a 4 star resort on an island. Service was terrible - forgotten orders, overcharged and ignored. Room - peeling paint, dirty floors, no exhaust fans in bathroom. Front desk - repeatedly spoke to them about issues, never addressed Housekeeping- continually need to ask for them to clean our rooms and still didn’t happen. Breakfast- beyond terrible, some days they had no soy or almond milk and one one day in 6 did they have gluten free bread available but not gf toaster. Water sports/activities - down South Island were rundown and the games old and some hand made. Lovers cove was the nicest spot, would love to see an actual bar there and not a trestle table. And around the pools was nice but the pool bar is only open from 11-3pm and serves no food and the cocktails depends on what ingredients are available- for example no mojitos because they had no lime! The walk was nice, the kayaking, the pools and lovers cove. Over all we spent a lot of money for a poor experience. Really really disappointing considering the opportunity they have to make it a great experience.

Oh boy, that's a beautiful island! Fantastic nature - wallabies, butterflies, birds, abundant sea life. State of the art architecture of the Atrium. Artificial reefs where you can explore the same species as while snorkelling on the real reef just off the beach, but with closer view :). The cocktails might have been a bit better, but that's the only complaint. Corals under your feet on the beach are chiming like tiny bells. Free snorkelling gear. Nice experience from the very moment you step off from the ferry till you board it. Definitely recommend to spend some time on the island if you love nature while staying in comfort. And yes, the place is very instagrammable :)

A very, very bad hotel. This is the only hotel on Daydream Island, so I really don’t recommend it. This hotel is 30 years old and the facilities are too old. The air conditioner is noisy and I can't sleep. Changing rooms is useless. The air conditioners in other rooms are not cooling. Daydream Island was bought by a Chinese owner. Basically all the people who come to the island are Chinese, but there is not a single Chinese-speaking service employee in the entire hotel. There is only one restaurant in the hotel. The food is terrible and the waiter's attitude is also very bad. It's like you owe him money. They are not very friendly to Chinese people. When traveling, you are most afraid of services that make you feel bad. Not recommended to come.

Daydream Island is not big, but it is very pleasant. There are many boat trips from Hamilton Island to Daydream ~ it is very convenient! The last boat we took took us to Daydream Island, and each of us was given a necklace made of small conch shells. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is rich. Kangaroos and stone plovers can be seen everywhere, and there are small sharks and stingrays in the pond... the overall feeling is very good! ! ! Key points to avoid: If you want to play or fly from Hamilton Island, choose to stay on other small islands. Do not live on Long Island. There is no direct boat from Hamilton Island to Long Island. You have to reverse the boat at Shute Port, and the frequency of flights Very few. (It took me half a day to inquire about various transportation routes that I had to call. It was really annoying, because there were no vacancies on Hamilton Island, and I was really afraid of sleeping on the island). We landed in Hamilton Island by plane and booked accommodation on Long Island. We returned to Hamilton Island the next day to take a helicopter to see Heart Reef. The earliest departure from Long Island was to Shute Harbor at 8 a.m. If we wanted to check in, we would have to go there the next day. I have to wait until 5:30 pm to get to Hamilton Island ~ Oh my God! At that time, I really believed the review of that hotel saying that the water bus was very convenient🐶🐶🐶 We had no choice but to give up going to Long Island and immediately booked accommodation on Daydream Island. The last schedule was taken by me at the Hamilton Island Ferry Terminal for your reference. Personally, I feel that Changdao is isolated and not developed by the same travel company. The room fee is non-refundable ~ so we wasted 2 nights of accommodation on Changdao. Moreover, the boat fare between the islands is not cheap. , everyone should also consider it when booking a hotel! It is worth mentioning that Daydream Island has given us a good mood for vacation again! ! ! I hope writing so much will help everyone! After all, no one wants to have such a bad experience when going out for fun.
