The hotel left a very mixed impression. On the one hand, it is absolutely charming - the design of the hotel, the rooms, the courtyard - all this touches and immerses you in an atmosphere of rest and relaxation. On the other hand, there are a lot of disadvantages that can outweigh the advantages. For example, the rooms are very cold even when the air conditioner is off. And in general, air conditioners are constantly working everywhere, so I did not get out of a warm sweater with a hood. Didn't like the food. I understand that this is India, but usually large hotels also have a European menu. Here, too, there were options, but either peppered and spicy anyway, or a la fast food (pizza and burgers). In general, if you are a gastritis, an ulcer, or for some other reason are limited in nutrition, then you will have a very difficult time. The staff is very arrogant (not all of course, but the general mass), there is always a feeling that you owe them something. Well, the last little remark, speaking about the attitude and sensitivity of the staff: we arrived on my husband's birthday and did not even hear the banal ”happy birthday” at the check-in. First time like this. Usually they will at least verbally congratulate, as a maximum they will treat you with cakes)

The Hotel is lacated on an Island named Willingdon Island, near the Harbour and near the old train station, which is closed. To get to Kochi city, a car or a taxy is mandatory. The hotel is very confortabel and the hospitality is excellent. Our room was big and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, which was also in an excellent condition. Especially we enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The reatsurant team was always very friendly and the chefs made an excellent job. On one of the fotos can be seen, how they prepared the food live. We were glad, that they had an buffet, because we didn't know the names of all the indian dishes, but we where able to look how the food lokes like and than decide to eat, what looks an smells the best. Every dish was very tasty. We stayed only two nights. To short. Kochi is very interesting und you can stay several days and you won't be able to see everything.

One of my favourite places we stayed at in India. Visited the restaurant last visit and is was as delicious as before with the added bonus of staying on the premises. It is a very special place and owner and staff were so helpful, professional and friendly. We felt very well looked after. Also attached to a antique warehouse and gallery as well as restaurant overlooking the backwaters. Everything in the hotel and restaurant can be purchased... There are only a few rooms and all individual and unique, amazing bathrooms with Japanese toilets and great products. Would have been happy in any of them. Nice small pool too with brilliant views. Overall I can't wait to go back.

Really large hard pillows unable to sleep, despite getting them changed. The room was nice, large, but was on the front of the hotel and there was a lot of outside noise. There was a lot of fuss about the art in the hotel which felt unnecessary and pretentious especially when the basics have to be right so that the paying customer is comfortable. The staff were excellent is not a little overbearing lurking all the time. overall I felt a little claustrophobic. The outside space is small and the pool was tiny with 2 sunbeds in the shade overlooking the kitchen. no where to really relax and unwind and nothing to look at just an enclosed courtyard. It is a glorified guesthouse and definitely not worth the high prices we paid. Try the ginger house opposite nice outdoor space overlooking the water.

We have been staying here during our annual visits to Kochi, for a few years now. The place has nice sized room and is value for money deal. The location of the hotel makes it easy to commute to various nearby places by auto, bus or Uber. The breakfast buffet is perfect, providing warm food. If you are staying long, then you would be pleased to know that they rotate the menu. The best part - the Staff. They are friendly. They are helpful and prompt. Without the staff, this place and experience would not be the same. The staff goes to great lengths to make your hotel and restaurant visit perfect.

A grand heritage stay. Beautiful. We stayed in the traders room and the museum room (free upgrade). Located on the sea side bang opposite to the taj malabar resort, the (g+2) hotel itself is a treasure of kerala heritage. The architecture, the wood furnishings, the ambience is all just wonderfull. We actually felt so homely, that we did not even feel like checking out. Every single nook and corner has heritage built into it. The trader room is huge and easily fits 2 additional beds in there. The museum room is normal hotel size room but has a view of the ocean and taj malabar resort. The bed, bedding is all ultra comfy and made of very good material. Bathroom fittings are brand new including the tiles etc. Breakfast offered is fresh and sumptuous, but not much of a choice. Staff is extremely friendly and are open to helping us in any way possible. For the kind of pricing, it's definitely a steal. Much better than the resorts/hotels. Cons: the location of the hotel is in some traders zone and every inch of space outside the hotel is an eye sore. Be it the sea, the roads, the buildings etc. But i guess the hotel has no control over those things. If one can overcome this one problem, the rest of the hotel is just wow!

Very worst experience!!!! I write this reviews just an experience stayed a day actually my plan was 3 days in same hotel but it’s make me really disappointed from the arrival no one escorts to take my luggage and there a two boys in the reception when I arrive both are stayed in the room inside and watching there phone simply, after I arrived I just ask a help to carry my baggage just simply ignore (note I just ask for a help) After I came to room AC Is doesn’t work at all even I keep on for 3 hours, when I ask yo reception he mentioned to me it’s Hot weather sir will be work soon (after 3 hours come on ) Then in the night I ask for TV is there is any channel is working, he just laugh and reply to me if you want to see the TV just open android smart phone connect to TV Seriously it’s make me really disappointed and I don’t recommend for any new comer in this hotel

Hey dear traveller, I went to Zostel kochi during my initial days of backpacking and I had absolutely amazing experience with Zostel fort kochi and the hosts are really amazing people, the ambience and other stuffs in the property are really cool for the backpackers. The best thing I felt is card games and rooftop is a really nice space to chill-out. If you love exploring some historical places and some amazing art cafe's that depicts the ancient culture and tradition of kochi, the Zostel kochi will be a great place to be. There are a lots of places to explore in kochi and close to kochi. I highly recommend Zostel kochi for the people planning to make a destination in kochi. We like staying at homestays where we can have a glimpse of the local life. The stay at the Mother's Inn Homestay exceeded all our expectations. Suria did an outstanding job by arranging a car for us from Alleppey, ordering tuk-tuks, making sure that we are comfortable and have everything we need. Telma and Jancy cooked delicious breakfasts and introduced the local Kerala vegetarian dishes to us. Anil helps in the kitchen and around the house in addition to the main job - keeping the garden in wonderful shape. The entire team is always smiling, singing and taking care of us. We definitely will miss the time we spent at this lovely historical house. Highly recommend!

Best place in edapally area to stay, just walking distance to lulu mall, inf-act just opposite, near to all major attraction in kochi because metro station is just above the hotel, no need to take your car as you can visit all places in metro and come back comfortably, parking space for cars is there in basement, at-least 10 cars can be parked, rate is very average, good place for families, complimentary breakfast was good, rooms are very clean and good room service, overall its safe, comfortable and budget place to stay.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. The patio is like an oasis with lots of green and beautiful sculptures, the rooms have air conditioning and are super clean and confortable. Nisha at the front desk is so kind and will help you organise transportation to and from the airport or if you decide to leave Cochin and explore other parts of the region. A huge thanks to my drivers Venu and Sibi who were so accomodating and respectful. I really enjoyed my trip to and from Munnar with them. You can have ayurvedic massages at the spa, they are soooo good ! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is really tasty (you can have food that is actually not hot). Thanks to all the staff and specially to Sunny who was so kind to me. You are all amazing !!!! I will definitely come back to this hotel !!!

I stayed here for three weeks. This is a good value budget option. The hotel is very centrally located and is a safe place to stay. My room was medium sized and I was supplied with a kettle on request. There was a small outside balcony with no view to speak of. There was no fridge. The A/C was very efficient, as was the WiFi. Water was supplied daily. This place is very clean- well done to the hard-working staff who were all delightful: consistently very pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this lovely venue with a group of 22 for yoga and meditation. We had some use of the hotel which we loved. It was everything we hoped for and Vinita the ***ager and her fabulous team went out of their way to make sure all we needed was catered for. The hotel is soulful with heaps of character and also clean, comfortable and in a perfect location for taking in all the delights of Fort Kochi. The yoga and meditation spaces were perfect. The food was delicious and there were lovely little touches of beauty everywhere from the flowers and plants to the wallhangings and candles. We Westerners had great fun trying on sarees with the female staff too. We had a fabulous Keralan welcome and also had great Ayurvedic massage on offer. Local tours were organised and any questions answered with a big smile. A huge thank you. We will definitely be back.
