1.46km from 02 CafeI'd booked this hotel to get out of the hostel for a night's sleep. It was fairly budget and right in the market, so I had low expectations. I can assure you these expectations were kept. As soon as I got into my room, I could smell mould. Upon closer inspection, there was visable evidence in darn near every corner of the room. I tried opening the window, but started to feel it in my chest regardless. After having rinsing myself off in the classic Vietnamese bathroom-is-shower, I found the mould-motherload and noticed there was zero ventilation. At this point, I decided to go downstairs and request a room change. A quick inspection lead to them offering me the empty, mould-free, king suite. If it sounds fancy, it wasn't. But it had a balcony that overlooked the barrio and allowed for a much needed cross-breeze. When I checked out, the concierge forgot to give me my passport scan back (though I should have asked). Good thing I insisted on giving them a copy rather than the real thing. I moved the barometer from Poor to Average in this case because of their willingness to remedy the situation, however, I probably wouldn't choose this as your first option.

1.28km from 02 CafeAfter picking for a long time, I finally picked this hotel. It did not disappoint me. The price was good and it was very close to the Hoi An Centre. The bridge across the door was the vegetable market. The fruit was very good. The hotel breakfast was very good. In short, the price is reasonable, the location, the hotel scenery is beautiful, but do not choose a room without a window, you want to live in a villa or river view room.
1.87km from 02 CafeWe loved staying here with it's kooky woodwork wall panels, chairs from tree trunks, and Moroccan bathroom tiles, such a happy change from boring white walls! The location is great, at one end of the street you have a daily night market, at the other a series of little restaurants run from the tiniest of kitchens under a big veranda. Then in the lanes between you and Old Town and the river you'll find an assortment of massage options and as you get closer to the river, bars. The area felt safe to walk around at night with kids playing badminton in the street out the front. We took a fondness to Uncle Dai's boat bar tucked away from the noise by the Dome Theatre. There were lots of options in the breakfast buffet, with pastries, eggs, pho and fruit on offer. The staff were incredible, we were welcomed with a map, suggestions on places we might enjoy and discount options for tailors and shoemakers which was lovely. Be sure to stay a couple of days to get things made so you can roam the town as well.
1.12km from 02 CafeWe absolutely loved this hotel! It was out of the hustle and bustle of the old town market area but still along a road with shopping. The staff were absolutely amazing here. We have never experienced such an amazing welcome to a hotel upon arrival and then throughout. The manager knew our names and everyone was so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. Loved ending my day with a beer out on the balcony. We had a room overlooking the road so it was nice to watch the life go by from up there. The breakfast is served out in the back garden and it was wonderful! The daily hot Vietnamese specials were delicious! The breakfast spread was large with a lot of variety! Again, the staff out here were very accommodating and friendly. I was sad to leave this hotel, it really was a wonderful stay!
1.42km from 02 CafeHoi an is one of my favorite stops in Vietnam. I have been there three times in the past year and I have stayed at Pebble Homestay each time. It is my home away from home. The location is far enough away from the busy old town but within walking distance. It is in a nice quiet local neighborhood. There are plenty of places to get food and coffee. The homestay is run by a nice family willing to help you with any need. The property is well kept with a beautiful garden to enjoy. The rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds. I will return to Pebble Homestay on my next trip to Hoi an.
1.62km from 02 CafeWelcome reception and a huge room, spotlessly clean, a bath and plenty of hot water. We had little balcony over the pool area and room fridge was stocked with water and some beers. The pool area and breakfast area was lovely. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice on the menu. Was a lovely place to stay away from the madness of Hoi An yet only a 10 minute walk across the bridge to be amongst it all again. We very much enjoyed our stay with the friendly staff
1.95km from 02 CafeThe environment is great, the wooden structure of the local houses, the location of the hotel is very good, it is only two minutes walk from the Japanese bridge and the ancient town of Hoi An, the lady at the front desk of the hotel is very enthusiastic, and she has been introducing me to places to play and eat around after a cold. Haha, really hard work, moved ahahaha, next time I come to live here
1.88km from 02 CafeTucked right into the corner of the an hoi island, its terrace faces the river! The view is beautiful to wake up to every morn. Tou can watch the boats go by, people kayaking fisherman getting their fish. Its set in kind of like a fisherman area, but no stinky smells whatsoever. Bfast is hand made by Duyen everyday in the morn, (i got it for just one day, cuz of flight timings) The room was big enough for 2 person. Nicely decorated. All things/amenities reqd for stay that i forgot to carry were in the room already . Geyser worked well. Hygeine- was maintained, better than i had expected . She gave me good suggestions for places to go and see/ eat. Also booked my cab back to da danang all in all, i highly recommend this place, to one and all
1.23km from 02 CafeWe stayed here for 4 nights, and had a really good experience. The room was clean and spacious, they did one room clean mid way through the stay which was nice. Breakfast was included in the price; and includes the standard options available at most home stays in Vietnam (pancakes and eggs), it was always tasty and came out very quick. They’re card machine wasn’t working at the time of checkout (or maybe they preferred cash like other places in Vietnam), so worth being careful of that especially if you don’t carry much cash around. Overall, a great stay and we would recommend it.
1.97km from 02 CafeSusan, her husband and all of her family were a pleasant surprise in our visit to Hoi An. They arranged our transfer from the airport to their Homestay and even arranged a special stop in Dan Gang's Buda and pagoda site. Her place was definitely one of the best we have been so far. It was super clean, with a great area, great bathroom, AC and all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was also excellent, with several options and they were always ready to help, gently offering cold tea and juice. Very good. In the departure, they also took care of the transfer booking to the airport and, since we left very early, they even prepared us breakfast! We couldn't ask for more. D Central Homestay (as the name suggests, is really in center town) made our stay in Hoi An, so much more special. Recommended!
1.05km from 02 CafeThe inn is located in the ancient city of Hoi An, convenient for shopping and eating. It is very late to see the lanterns of the ancient city at night. There is also a night market at night, with local snacks, which are not visible during the day. Selling crafts is also cheaper than during the day.
The room was clean and the price was great! With balcony, comfortable and airy
Hotels Near 02 Cafe In Hoi An Review
We stayed for 1 night in July 2019. The property was fine for a 2/3 star, not amazing but fine. The rooms were large but overall it was not nearly as nice as the photos suggest. Unfortunately the behaviour of the other guests made this a completely inappropriate place for a family to stay. The owner seemed to have no issue with the fairly extreme level of partying that was going on at breakfast time and was continuing to serve alcohol. He even suggested we eat our breakfast right in the middle of everything that was going on (heavy drinking, loud music, lots of smoking +). Completely inappropriate for small children. We explained this wasn't suitable and insisted on eating breakfast inside, which he organised for us. We then went out for the morning, hoping things would have calmed down by the time we got back. We returned at midday and the partying was in full swing. We packed our bags and told the owner we had to leave as this was not a suitable environment for children. The owner charged us for the night we had stayed plus an extra half a night (we had booked 3 in total), saying this was because we were leaving an hour after check out time. This was probably unfair but we were just desperate to get our children off the property so paid it and left. More annoyingly, I found out later that he recorded my booking as a 'No Show' so that I could not leave a review on Booking.com. When I booked this property on Booking.com one of the reasons I chose it was that it was listed as Family Friendly. It certainly was not. Perhaps if we had had different fellow guests things may have been better, but the owner appeared to value selling more alcohol over the well being of other guests. If you are someone who likes to party you may like this place. If you have a family I would strongly suggest you avoid it.
We enjoy our stay in the silk luxury hotel and spa for the few nights during our visit. It was a super cute and with the sweetest ladies working the front desk. It was perfect to walk around Hoi An. Lots lots of great shopping and places to eat. In the front part of the hotel is a fabulous spa. The rooms were large and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! I will definitely be returning.
The room is small but very comfortable. You need to take off your shoes to enter the hall. The boss is super nice. He helped to book the ticket to Nha Trang on the next day, and also helped me change the room and charged a little fee. It means that the hot water for bathing at night is big and small. I even accidentally left the hats I bought in Hoi An at his house.
Good location! In the alley, the smell of fireworks is very strong! A few hundred meters to the center of the ancient city! A lot of eating, drinking and having fun around! The breakfast is plentiful, the portion is not big, but there are many varieties!
This is my second visit to Hoi An. This time I was staying for 3 months. I stayed on Can Nam Island for the first month. A friend who lives in Hoi An then recommended the Daisy Garden Villa. I was already in Hoi An, so I visited the Daisy Garden. I wanted to rent for 6 weeks. Daisy offers discounts for long term stays and she gave me an excellent monthly rate. My price included a Breakfast. My Double Room came with mini fridge, Cable TV, aircon, and a kettle. Housekeeping was daily and they came daily. Bed linen was changed weekly. My private bathroom had a hot water rainfall shower. Outside, I had a small balcony area with a table looking out over the pool. The complimentary Breakfast was a choice of 1 main dish from a selection of about 7 items. In addition, you had the choice between a fruit shake or tea / coffee. Usually they also gave you complimentary fruit. The wifi throughout the hotel was very good and fast enough to stream video. Restaurant Menu prices were ‘good’ with something like chicken fried rice going for V$55k. Their beer was also reasonably priced with a can of local beer going for only V$15k. A glass of local wine was V$30k. It took less than 10 minutes to cycle the 1km from the hotel to the Old Quarter. Daisy Garden provide free bicycles. The staff were exceptional. Very professional. Very friendly. Daisy runs a 'tight ship'. This place is hard to beat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I love this place. Clean rooms. Cold air conditioning. Free bikes. Good location. Best of all, wonderful friendly owners. A special thanks to the husband and wife owners who were wonderful sweet people and treated me well.
This homestay is just amazing! It really is a home away from home. Stayed here for nine nights....and was sad to leave. The family are such nice genuine people that make you feel so welcome. The rooms ...just 4 of them are new, clean and have everything you need in them. We stayed in room 203 and our balcony overlooked the front. The area is quiet and set among the local people...just heaven. It is a few minutes walk to the beach. There are many restaurants on the beach and also on the street running through the village. Hoi an is 5 mins in a taxi that will cost you £2. Hoi an itself is amazing and we have stayed in town before... we prefer the beach and ang bang beach is lovely. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh linen etc. I can’t recommend this place enough.
I originally booked to stay here for 3 nights but I extended this to a further 2 nights. It is a lovely homestay and all of the staff are very accommodating and lovely. My room, by the pool, was lovely and big & was cleaned every day. The AC is perfect. Food is also very nice here and they are happy to serve you it any time of the day. I booked a cooking class through this homestay which I would also highly recommend. They also have bikes you can use for free and you can hire motorbikes from them for a small fee. It is located approx 30 mins cycle from the beach and a 10 min motorbike ride from the main night markets/river. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
We stayed 3 nights at Dai An Phu Villa in 4 rooms. All of us liked this small villa hotel (9 rooms in total) located just 5 minutes walk from the beach and 5 km from Hoi An old city center. The hotel is providing bicycles for free. The breakfast is very copious and excellent (western or Vietnamese dishes are available). Last but not least, the family running the place is very nice and helpful. The word “hospitality” takes it full meaning in this villa hotel: it’s just amazing how smiling and caring are all the family members. We will keep an excellent memory of our stay at Dai An Phu Villa. When we’ll return to Hoi An, for sure we know we will stay in the same place again. Thank you for your marvelous sense of hospitality.
We spent a whole week at Lantern Riverside in Hoi An ad had a wonderful time at this beautiful homestay. First of all, I always base my decisions on location, as I enjoy being at the center of the action with no need for transportation or any other arrangement or long walks, but then I am also keen on some good comfort while saving money. Lantern Riverside was perfect for a long stay. It was very conveniently located 50 meters from the Night Market, and only about 6 blocks from the Japanese Bridge and the beautiful Old City center of Hoi An. This homestay was very quiet and affordable. Our room on the third floor with partial views on the river was bright and surprisingly big, with all the necessary amenities. The small staff and their family were simply the very best people you could ask for. They took care of us as if we were family. This made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back to Lantern Riverside during our next visit in Hoi An.
I recently went to Vietnam with my family and partner, so we always needed two rooms. We stumbled across Ancient Terra-cotta Villa on Booking.com where it said there was only one room available, we called the hotel hoping for the best, because the photos were amazing. To our luck they had two rooms available, and were happy to organize pickup and drop off for the airport for us. Initially we only booked 3 nights, but within an hour of being at the Villa we new we wanted to extend to stay our full 7 nights in Hoi An at the Villa. It was a place where you truly feel like you are at home. They were willing to accommodate to our every need, and were nice enough to even add Banana Pancakes to the breakfast menu for my younger brother. Every time we entered the Villa, it was like going home to family, you were greeted with a smile and asked about your day. My partner and I even helped the beautiful receptionist with preparation for her English exam as she is such a kind hearted person, we just couldn’t say no! On our second last night the family made a Vietnamese feast where we got to sample true Vietnamese meals, where they catered for my vegetarian diet. I definitely know where I am going to stay next time I am in Hoi An.
The shoreline stay is absolutely amazing its a beautiful little family run hotel within a two minute walk from the beach, its absolutely spotless the housekeeping maids work so hard to always keep your room fresh and clean, we booked to stay here for 7 days but after just 3 days we extended it to 11 , the couple who run the hotel are so helpful and friendly you wont meet nicer host anywhere in vietnam! And Sang was amazing from the moment we got there untill we left so helpful and has brilliant knowledge and advice about the local area, we have already decided to return back in june! 10/10 for this place, its just outside hoi an at a place called anbang beach a really cool vibe here and small restaurants are all around,
We have found this place by coincidence. The room was spacious, thee bed comfortable. Everything clean and the hiost very friendly. I think it is a good price for value, especially that we check out some othe rplaces nearby and all of them were far worse. The only disadvantage was that our room was located just opposite to the reception and the door was quite thin, which limited a bit our privacy.
We had the most amazing stay at Galaxy Homestay. Vu and his parents were the sweetest family and were amazing hosts. The Homestay is about 2km from Hoi An Ancient town and about 2km the opposite direction to An Bang Beach. They rent out bicycles and scooters if you would like (I recommend biking around the rice paddies). There are about 6 rooms that they rent out that have beautiful large doors and high ceilings. It was extremely clean and they offer daily cleaning of the room but if you deny the cleaning they will still bring clean towels, toilet paper and bottles of water if you would like. Breakfast is also included and they offer a wonderful menu (highly recommend the Quang Noodles), you just place your order the night before and set a time for breakfast. It was so nice being a little outside of the town center because it was much more quiet. The room was pretty sound proof and you didn’t hear much from outside. The beds are also very comfortable. Vu can set up transportation to or from the Da Nang Airport or Da Nang train station if you need. I would highly recommend this Homestay to anyone!
Hoi An City Center
I'd stayed at Ngo Homestay four years ago and upon returning, wasn't surprised to discover that like me, many people come back to stay at this delightful location. It's that good! This time I stayed across the street at the Villa which, like the Ngo Homestay, has the same high standards that ensure a comfortable and memorable time in Hoi An. The family members and staff who run both establishments are a key feature - great people who work hard to look after you. This time, I was treated to coconut coffee at a cafe near the Japanese Bridge, as well as a complimentary airport transfer with the owners who also happened to be on their way to Da Nang on the morning I was leaving. It's little touches like that which make Ngo Homestay and Villa different and special. Thanks to everyone there for looking after me!
Been here five weeks and have loved every minute. The rooms are very clean and large with an extremely comfortable bed. The very friendly staff will go out there way to make you feel at home. Had to cancel my flight today (31st Jan) back to China and do not know when I am to return (coronavirus outbreak) and the manageress has been fantastic in sorting my room out with just a days notice to stay possibly another two weeks. Coming back for around seven weeks in the summer.
We stayed here for a week as a family of 4 and fell in love with the place! Vy, the owner, couldn't do enough to help and was so warm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was delicious, served in the beautiful garden, overlooking the pool. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a great bathroom. The pool was lovely and the surrounding tropical plants and bamboo huts in this family run hotel made for a fantastic setting. As the villa is slightly out of Hoi An itself (a 100,000VND/£3 taxi ride or a short bike ride) it had the advantage of a beautiful, peaceful rural setting. We felt like we got a feel for the real Vietnam. There was a little shop at the end of the road where you could buy snacks, bottles of water or even a meal. Or there were more options a short bike ride away. However, the minibar was very reasonably priced for the days we wanted to just relax by the pool! We happened to arrive home from our evening meal one night when Vy and his family were harvesting the shrimp from the surrounding lakes. They made us feel really welcome and encouraged us to watch and join in. It was a real highlight to our holiday! I would definitely recommend this place, it was excellent value for money.
I have no booking and plans on where to stay when I came to Hoi An. Check into this place for one night, ends up staying for the rest of my 4 days trip Host and family members are friendly and helpful, maybe because I came during the period of Chinese New Year so I happens to meet most of them. Room is clear and feels good. Surrounded area is quiet and not crowded but still close to the old town. Location is perfect for me: 5 mins walk away for the No. 1 yellow bus Hoi An terminal, 3-7 mins bicycle ride to old town Hoi An ( bicycle was provided by guess house for free). Thank you for the warm hospitality and useful information during my stay. A good home stay makes a perfect holiday.
We stayed in Brother Villa for four nights, the hotel was brand new, only three months old when we stayed. The room and bathroom were very nice. The staff was very welcoming and cordial. The bikes they had for guests to use were a game changer, we used them every day, and wouldn’t have been able to cover as much ground with out them. The location is very good, close to the old town. The staff was able to give recommendations for places and good quality shops. We were very happy with out stay. The Decor is very modern, clean, and fun. We got a very personal experience, the family is very nice.
This lovely hotel is tucked off a main street in HoiAn and just a short walk to the Ancient Town. Super nice room- we were in 206, which has a king bed and nice little balcony overlooking some greenery. Lots of hot water and good a/c. Obviously recently built everything is in top shape and nicely done. Front desk staff is friendly and happy to make recommendations for restaurants, spa etc. They suggest the Green Grass Spa nearby, and the massage I had there was excellent (ask for Lee). Hotel has inexpensive laundry service which we used. Same day service- nice. We liked everything about this place.
Right in the center of Da Lat, it is very convenient to visit the city attractions and markets. The house yard is very beautiful. Although there is no air conditioning, the weather in Da Lat is really comfortable, but there are more mosquitoes. It is best to put mosquito nets early and bring some Mosquito medicine is the best. Early morning is also very delicate and clean, the only downside is that if you live in a room near the door, it will be noisy, anyway, for strolling in the city, this hotel is a very good choice, it is really beautiful for taking pictures.
The environment is quiet, the small garden seating area on the first floor is particularly beautiful ~ the location is also very easy to find! Juice and fruit are available while waiting for check in! Super sweet! Breakfast is also very rich! I booked a triple room, the bed was about 1 meter wide, and the room was clean. It was about ten to twenty minutes' walk to Hoi An Ancient Town. At night, when taxi came back to watch the meter, as long as VND20000 ~ the hotel also helped to book the next day The car, VND30w, is more cost-effective than grab and taxi! recommend!
We arrived at the homestay after a 2 day motorbike tour and were exhausted .. we were welcomed into their home with an amazing coffee and shown to our beautiful room to relax. The rooms are fantastic! Spotlessly clean, huge bed, water and cleaning provided everyday! Breakfast was delicious. There are free bicycles to use or you can rent a motorbike for a very good price! Laundry facilities are also charged at a very good price and ours smelt amazing after! .. But the magic of ths place were our fantastic hosts!! They make you feel at home and part of the family and cannot do enough for you! We were booked to stay three nights and extended our stay for a further three nights. It was the perfect place to relax after a crazy few weeks travelling. The location is great as it is situated around 10 mins bike ride from the old town and about the same to the beach but offers peace and quiet which is wonderful after a crazy day and night spent in old town!!! We truly loved our stay here and hope to return again some day! :) Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking such good care of us!!! :)
We have just returned from 2 weeks in Hoi An with side trips to Hue and the DMZ. So much to see and do in the area. We chose Rural Scene online and couldn't have made a better choice. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable and the Airconditioning was just what the Dr ordered after a long hot day exploring. Our room opened straight onto the pool which was the perfect temperature and a nice private area to unwind. The rooms were cleaned daily and the fridge restocked at a very uncommonly low fee for a mini bar. Breakfast was a great choice of both Vietnamese and western dishes. The Banana Pancakes and Omelette particular favorites. Same, same every day. A little too far to walk to downtown but an easy bike ride or grab a Grab for as low as 80 aussie cents off peak. This family run Homestay was a home away from home. The entire staff were sooooo friendly and accommodating. Sol on the front desk seemed to do it all. Was always there to greet us coming home at night and up early to cook us our favorite breakfast. Some-one needs to give this girl a holiday. Sol became to embody Vietnam itself. So sweet and friendly with a ready smile. It was sad to say goodbye. We will be back for sure. Thanks HoiAn and Sol for a holiday to remember.
My daughters and I spend 7 nights at this family owned hotel and we had a a fantastic time here. The hotel is situated close just beside the river with a great view and only 8 minutes slow walk from the historic center of Hoi An. They have good and maintained bicycles which you can use without extra costs. Every day we enjoyed a freshly made breakfast before we went out to explore the area either by bicycle or guidet tours ordered by the hotel if we wanted. The staff is very servicedminded. Especially the young owner himself and his wife who are always smiling and asking if you feel good. I can only give my best recommendation. NB: There is some noice from the crossing the river bridge nearby and I hope the city will consider to do some change to the construction of the bridge. Shouldn't be too difficult as only matter of changing some metal plates and replace with something less noicy. However this is not something you can hear in your room!
Our stay at Silk & Sea was so relaxing and enjoyable that we extended it. The staff are all wonderful, nice people, who are always ready to offer information and give recommendations (or even get you soup if your spouse isn’t feeling well). The hotel is beautiful, with soft beds, great amenities, a lovely pool, and the perfect location to enjoy the beach and easily bike into Hoi An. Again, we can’t say enough good things about the staff and the hotel. Silk and Sea has our highest recommendation.
My best hotel experience was here in Crony Villa. This is a recently opened place so if you are wondering why you are not able to find more reviews... that's why. Everything is super clean, the garden is lovely, the food is nice, the beds are super comfortable. It's more or less 15 minutes by bike from the old town which was not a problem at all because you could take one of them whenever needed. (Also you can rent a motorbike from Crony Villa to go further.) I have to mention the staff because they are really nice and helpful. Even when I had health issues they helped me and took us to the farmacy. And also a huge thanks to Chuck (the manager) for making our stay so wonderful. Thanks for the morning bike rides together where you took us to a local coffee house; all the stories, experiences and facts you shared with us about Vietnam and Vietnamese people; the atmosphere you created that brought the guests together for a beer and that you are always there when someone needs advice. Fun story: when we arrived at the hotel and were doing the check-in process we heard cheering from the backyard so we were welcome to see the football game with all the hotel staff who were celebrating together and doing a bbq. By the time we sat down we had plates with food in them and some beer. It was delicios!!! Thanks again and keep on doing this amazing job you are doing right now! The (not bird watcher) Hungarians :)
I and my family had a wonderful holiday at Tre's beach house. Very clean, brand new and beautiful house. Very friendly and kind host, they cook for us really good food, we will miss them, yummy. Also, we really love private beach, we can enjoy the beach with out crowded in the summer, not to many place in Hoian have this, we knew we really found a hidden gem with super reasonable price. Absolutely come back.
