Hygiene: Hygiene is OK, clean even if it is clean Facilities: There are no facilities, just an ordinary homestay, there is a small swimming pool, the water pressure in the bath is not high, and the shower is not very comfortable. Service: Not able to communicate in English, use translation software It is fake to say that it is close to Diamond Beach, and it takes 15 minutes to walk to the beach. The point is here: if you want to stay for two nights, it is recommended that you book two separate orders to book. On the first day, you can find a better hotel and at least one order can be refunded. If you book directly for two days, you can actually stay for one day, then the hotel is 200% and refuses to refund the money. There are actually many hotels to choose from.

It's only 3-4 stars at best. It's an average hotel, nothing special or amazing, but it's clean and acceptable. The room has all the basic equipment, and there is a bathtub in the bathroom🛁. The best thing is probably the large piece of glass where you can enjoy the city night view while taking a bath. The breakfast buffet is on the second floor, but there are not many choices. There is a lot of traffic on the main road outside the restaurant near the restaurant. If you go to the right, there is a 7-11 and some hot stir-fry stalls, which are about 3-4 hundred meters ahead. There is a restaurant with super delicious chicken rice😋

The room is generally satisfied. It is located in the most prosperous street in Shame Island. 7-11 is 100 meters in front of it. It is convenient to eat and travel. There is a small balcony along the street at the door, and it is very convenient to dry clothes. The landlord is a big beauty, the people are very enthusiastic, and she can do anything on the island. The only discomfort is that my own room has a little smell. I don't know if it is a sewer problem. The parents' room does not have it, but the price is definitely worth it.

I'm a professional travel agent and travel expert. I inspect hotel throughout Asia for 6 months already. Big hotel chains has hosted me for a reviews in media in my country. Bofore leaving Thailand I decided to spend some time on a beautiful beach Ao Cho of Samet Island. That's the most beautiful beach here with clear cristal waters and white sand. The resort itself is very old, Iean The Grand View Ao Cho redort which manages Tropical Samet Resort. And Tropical Samet Resort is a newly built part of it. The construction looks very good, but only looks. It is very bad done in details. I stay on a standard room on th second floor. Good bed, no furniture at all. No table, no any chair. So you will not be able to work eith your notebook for some time if you need. The shower is only the wall shower. So when you walk in from the beach you can not only just wash your legs off the sand, you gonna need take your all body shower. It's very inconvenient. For ladies especially, there is only one mirror in the bath room and there is no light to see your face appropriately. So, forget about making a good makeup. There's no safebox in the room. Pay attention to it! You will have to take all your valuables and belongins with you always! No any special place to allicate your luggage. No shelves. The good thing is that you sleep in a new bed. And the room is fresh. But it will be downgraded quickly because the quality of works is so poor. The locker in the door is electronic but it is shacking like it is broken. The restaurant of the resort is very expensive. And the service is very slow and bad. Today I had a dinner. There were only two tables occupied. I waited for my club sandwich for 30 mins. I also ordered hot latte and tgey brought me cappuccino. Ok, I decided to check and ordered latte again. Same. They brought me cappuccino, bitter cappuccino again. Although the restaurant has wide variety of coffee in the menu. And it's definitely supposed to understand the difference between latte and cappuccino. I waited for another cup of coffee 10 mins)) What could be easier to push the button in the coffee machine)) Also how come to mix ketchup and maionese? The chef, where are you from? Are you from far resorted village from the mountains in Thailand? For those travellers who wish to stay here and enjoy the best beach, the hotel is still in shape noting the fact that even bad bad resorts on the island are all full because of high demand now, I advise you to eat in a small cafe like a rasta-bar on the beach. The service is very quick, very delicious, even soups and 2 times cheaper then in the hotel restaurant. Have a safe and enjoyable travel.

Better to overpay than to breathe.. I will say at once, almost the entire hotel was free, traveled outside the season. First we were settled in room C11 , the smell of the spleen, the mini-mini room, all old and a number of repair works. We went to the respiratory, asked to change the room, gave us E11, it looked much better) but an hour later, dogs came to us and they ended up with us for 3 days, they went out at night, chewed, scratched. In principle, coming to the room, we immediately understood, that not just the furniture was worn. On the trail of the day, right under our window, they set fire, we were breathing, all night sleeping in Gary, TC winding that smell was impossible, smelled everything, clothes, hair) well, And in the morning all the repair works were suddenly moved to our house ... We went to friends to the nearby silver send, I will tell you so, the difference is huge and the attitude to people is different ... so if you don't want to spoil the holiday, it is better to overpay a little.

I dont know how this place is when its more people here and no covid situation but at this time I love this place. Clean beUtiful beach with a nice home reef just outside. There are just enough sunchairs so the beach does not feel cluttered. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. You can borrow both snorkeling gear and kayaks. The food in the restaurant tastes great and just a small walk away is a minimart and a bigger beach with more restaurants and bars. The rooms are clean and well kept. There are also alot of small details that Inreally love they thought about like a flashlight in every room if you want to go out when its dark. Hairbands for the forgetfull girlfriend in the free toiletrees. A beachbag marked with your roomnumberbto bring stuff in to the beach. I warmly recomend this place. Clean friendly and relaxing. I will gladly come back.

My first time to Ko Samet for an overnight, and I wanted a quiet getaway just to relax without all the activity. This place was perfect for that. Stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows, and while I would prefer that they didn't have the music during the day, it wasn't really that bothersome, and they turn it off by 6PM, so the morning and evening are wonderfully peaceful. Room #2 seems a bit better than #1 where I stayed, since it's set back a bit so a little more private. Had breakfast and dinner at Samed Villa next door, and both were very good. They have a Fire Show at 7:30. Also got a massage there, and that was outstanding. Had lunch at TubTim on the other side, and that was good as well. The bar is quite nice, and drinks are very good, both alcohol and non. Went for runs both mornings, and though the roads are quite hilly and challenging, traffic was minimal with plenty of space, so not stressful at all. Took a walk down to Sai Kaew beach, which is ~20min, and need to walk in parts on the narrow road with traffic. Definitely glad I chose the quiet area, since it was quite loud and crowded, but lots of fun nightlife options if that's your interest. They do have some construction going on during the day, which can be a little distracting, but again not terrible. I'm a little concerned that all the new construction may detract from the peace and quiet, but hopefully they'll be able to preserve that.

Was far more expensive than other accommodations on the same beach. Room was badly decorated and was dirty and smelled of damp. The AC had no controller so the temperature was controlled by the owner and was set so that it was hot and humid in the room. There were dead cockroaches all up the stairs to the rooms which were there our entire stay, showing the lack of cleaning taking place. We walked a few meters along the beach and far superior bungalow for half the cost. Avoid this place at all costs.

First if all, The WiFi did not work after several tries from us ,we ended up using our mobile data which is just a disappointment. No proper signage going to the hotel as they altered the entrances and exits due to covid. But please a proper assistance to your guests will go along way in terms of customer service. We had to walk and keep on asking where the hotel is. Thirdly, poor housekeeping and restaurant service. Both departments are unorganized.whenever you order something,it takes a long time for the food or drinks to be served. Next, they always made up our room last and super late till 5.30pm. Even when we requested as early as 9.30 am to please clean the room, they just give us excuses. Yes,your hotel is very under staffed but please come up with a better strategy in cleaning rooms especially we are your first timers guests, and we ended to just tidying our room during or stay. Not recommended for foreigners, only 3 people can speak or greet you in English, the rest does not even smile to the guests. Won't be recommending this hotel even if the location is lovely.

The breakfasts were excellent. The Pool was large and well maintained and very much enjoyed by the children especially with the inflatables which were provided. The beach was attractive and safe but not large and there were good sunbeds and umbrellas on the terrace. It was in a very quiet location but within easy reach of numerous restaurants. had an absolutely lovely time staying at this hotel albeit the fact it’s 20-mins walk from the pier and another added 10-min walk to the beach area. but this made me make full use of enjoying the room, pool, and some of the bar’s food, and doing nothing and be in the moment love the studio room for it’s size- felt like home away from home. had a beautiful view overlooking the pool as well. only downside is that somehow mosquitoes manage to enter the room even though windows and doors are closed! but they are easy to kill so it’s okay. staff are friendly; will come back to stay again if i ever return!

The rooms are very nice bungalows each of a different color, not very large and have a little spartany furniture, but very clean. The staff is very nice but unfortunately not all the servers speak English. Breakfast is excellent and very abundant. The restaurant's dishes are good but the prices are much higher than the average. Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

This is our fifth time on this island and this hotel is one of the best places for a relaxing holiday. If you are not satisfied with the beach - at low tide the water goes to the rocky bottom, then you can find another beach 100 - 200 m away. The place is ideal for families with children - a shallow beach with a perfect bottom and a fence. There is a good swimming pool in case of a storm. Good breakfasts, however, according to an incomprehensible pattern, alternate between a buffet and a la carte. Very friendly and helpful staff. For a large campaign (family) it is convenient to stay in a villa with a view - you can combine 2 rooms in one villa, as there is a door between the rooms. For 2 people, you can get a spoiled vacation if you come across noisy neighbors, as the soundproofing is very poor. Then it is better to stay in a 2 local villa, for example tropical view twin villas. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the whole bay, which for some reason do not react to local repellents and prevent you from enjoying sea views from the terrace in the evening, so it is better to take them with you and in large quantities. I also do not recommend buying a transfer for the return trip to Bangkok at the hotel. The paper that they gave us was confiscated when boarding the speedboat on the island, but no one met in Ban Phe and we had to pay for the ticket again.

Stayed in this hotel for one night. A quiet, quiet hotel. The room was three-bedroom with separate beds. Clean. Freezer, TV, split. More than enough for unattractive rest. The electricity works with the inserted electronic key, otherwise it is turned off (the economy should be economical), but no one prohibits it from disconnecting it from the key from the door 😁 The beach is small but very comfortable. The people were a little, we had enough space. The water is very clean, right and left stones and near them are swimming stacks of fish - who likes to swim with a mask will appreciate. Food: Next to a couple of cafes with good ”cooking,” the main thing is not to forget to say NO SPICE 🤣 Then the cook on us was offended - they ate less than they drank water 😂. A little further the restaurant and the beach is bigger. In general for quiet non-appreciative rest I recommend. One minus in the room: in the shower there is a current heater and I did not turn out 😪

As a couple who have traveled to many luxurious destinations around the world, we can confidently say that the Paradee Resort is truly one of the most incredible places we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by a fleet of friendly faces and introduced to the destination. We were immediately enveloped in the serene and tranquil atmosphere of this tropical paradise. The resort's lush tropical greenery and extraordinarily pristine beaches are enough to take your breath away, but it's the incredible attention to detail and top-notch service that really sets the Paradee resort apart, with our spa experience made top notch by Noi and Pin. Every single staff member is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that your every need is taken care of throughout your stay, with special mention to Tony. And the accommodations themselves are simply stunning, with spacious, beautifully-appointed rooms that provide the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with our experience in the Garden Pool Villa absolutely exceptional. But perhaps the highlight of my stay was the incredible food. The resort's restaurant offer an incredible selection of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that are expertly prepared and presented. Whether you're in the mood for Thai specialties or international cuisine, the Paradee's culinary offerings are sure to impress even the most discerning foodies. Our favourite meals were the chicken pad see ewe, duck Massaman curry and the chocolate and peanut butter lasagne that we indulged ourselves with more than once! All in all, I can't recommend the Paradee Resort enough. Very beautiful and well-designed territory. There is video surveillance and security. The houses stand separately but there are multi-storey buildings. We lived in a separate house across the road from the pool, breakfast and sea. The room has everything you need, including mosquito fumigator. The area is also treated from insects. We lived in room 406. The air conditioner does not blow right on the bed, that's good. C Wi-Fi was not problem. You always need to watch the door key, as outside the door can only be opened with the key. We went out to sit on the terrace once and the key didn't take, we had to look for an employee to open the door. Breakfasts are delicious. At the restaurant at the hotel in principle cook delicious, the portions are not small. But we included 10% and 7% tax, sometime before we did not face such. If you don't like a sharp, please inform in advance. The beach is small but very good, clean. Logo entrance to water and small sand. There are sea yogas, but they are deep, especially careful need to be in the sink. Near the shore of yogas have not seen. There are small shops and cafes, restaurants nearby. Everywhere cooks delicious. Thank you to the hotel staff for your attention and help.

It makes you feel like James Bond. “Biw” greeted me like long lost friend, these are the sort of touches that make a difference to me. my cottage was 706 on the highest level with views over rooftops of cottages below and the sea. On Saturday night I eat at Kerala Coco next door, BBQ night with fire show, delicious and thrilling. the hotel has a pizza oven so I had pizza twice, the second one was a mixed seafood with huge prawns and scallops. The rooms are big, big comfortable bed, good air con, large shower, veranda with chairs and tables if you wish to watch the sunsets from there. if you have thought of going to ko samet and worry about the cost and hassle then think again, it’s super easy, wish I could have stayed for a week. I write this after catching the 3pm boat back to Rayong in the taxi.

My wife adores fresh seafood and ordered fresh shrimp and fresh squid that was listed as price by weight. When we got the very small plates of ”fresh seafood” the shrimp had been mashed up covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried until hard and the squid stir fried in garlic. These are 100b street food dishes at best The tiny plates were devoured in seconds, it was barely an appetiser. When the bill arrived we had been charged the full price for 1kg despite only having a miniscule portion. Then we were told after the event, even though the menu clearly said price by weight, that this was a mistake and it was price per plate. Be careful here, it's a beautiful location but the prices are ridiculously expensive and aimed at unsuspecting tourists. It's the most expensive squid I've had in over 10 years living in Thailand and there's much better value to be had next door

The Samed Villa Resort must not be mistaken with the Samet Ville Resort. The latter is not the slightest in the same class as the Villa Resort. The renovated double bungalows are of the highest standards. Especially the bathrooms are of Swiss quality. The staff is very friendly, understands and speaks mostly English and is quick to serve any requests. The breakfast buffet has a lot of western dishes. The restaurant in general is delicious and not pricey at all. There are great options for lunch and dinner also nearby. There is a spa on the premises but also outdoor massage places under the trees on the sea side.

A wonderful Place to stay . This Resort is awesome . Einfach klasse !

The hotel is not bad. I booked an independent chalet, but it is really rather biased. I have not been to Koh Samet. It is not clear. It is actually divided from the pier. Walking to the left is a bustling place. The beautiful places are over there. , Forest Park or something, we are on the right hand side, anyway, the road is not very good health, the entrance and exit have to call the car, 200 beads each time, but the owner is really good, but can only communicate in English I did n’t play anything this time, because it ’s too late, it ’s a pity

Very close to the seaside, the location of the room is relatively secluded, the room is comfortable~ The toilet is very high, people who are not tall may not be able to step on the floor 😂 There are attached towels, bath products, and a hair dryer. Water can be filled at the check in place.

Given choice of two rooms, we chose the one out on the rocks overlooking the sea. Despite the final few metres being very uneven we were thrilled with this spot. Room was lovely and clean with windows to front and side. Large comfortable bed. Large balcony with chairs, table and clothes airer. Very few guests used the dining room - one night we were the only people eating there. Daytime we ate at the beach tables, which was lovely. Delicious food nicely presented. The pool was clean, a nice pool - but the area around not great since there was a big drop from the edges which would be dangerous for children. It really needs a barrier for safety for little children. The beach would be better for the children. Very safe and the whole bay exclusive to this hotel. Hotel is tucked away. We arrived by taxi luckily so the driver knew the location.

I’ll start by saying that the hotel’s surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The beach is one of the best on the island - clean and tranquil. It made spending time in the hotel a delight. And overall, we had a really memorable time - which was enhanced by exploring the island on motorbikes every day (which you can rent from the hotel). However, there are a number of areas where there could be significant scope for improvement and which, if improved, could make this a much better class of hotel. These are primarily: 1. There was repeated miscommunication with the hotel staff, who generally-speaking (with the exception of one or two receptionists) have poor English. It would of course be unreasonable to expect everyone to speak perfect English; that’s not my criticism here. But what I will say is that a lack of common language between us and the hotel staff made asking questions, even simple ones, about our trip difficult and led to mistakes. 2. The food is really poor at the hotel restaurant, Breeze. We had expensive Thai food which was inedible in part and the only bad meal which we have had during our two week stay in Thailand. Until improved, I’d suggest going to other restaurants on the island - Banana Bar is a real highlight. 3. The rooms which we were first shown to were unacceptably far away from the main hotel and up a number of flights of steps. We asked to change and were moved with no questions asked, which was a great result for us. We thought the hotel dealt with that issue brilliantly. We wondered how often they had encountered this issue having shown people to those rooms. And to be honest, those rooms shouldn’t really be hired out at all unless it is for a serious discount and it’s made clear to guests when they book. 4. Parts of the hotel feel unloved and a bit neglected to be honest - I don’t want to be too harsh here as it may be that the hotelier hasn’t been able to put as much money back into the resort following COVID and it’s aftermath. In particular, the room showers could do with an update. And generally there is an outdated feel to the hotel which could do with being modernised - the furniture in the common parts, the shower by the pool, etc. For the reasons above and taking into account the price paid for our stay, I would give Ao Prao three stars, but my lasting feeling is that with a bit more money, love and attention to detail, it could become a four or five star in the future.

We enjoyed a good dinner on the white soft sand beach. The Thai food was pretty good even for Thai tongues. Service was fast and friendly. Prices have been very moderate. Specially good wine at normal Thai prices. The sad point was it closes at only 9 pm.
