We stayed here for one night while travelling across Spain by train. The Mediodia is opposite Atocha Station, on a busy ring road. Staff were welcoming and helpful and we could leave our luggage before check in. No restaurant (there is room service) but plenty nearby - staff will advise. Breakfast was fine with a good choice. Our room on the top floor was large and well equipped with a balcony, with stunning views across Madrid. People on Trip Advisor have said this is ”Basic” but I sometimes wonder where they stay at other times - it wasn't our experience. It's worth visiting Atocha for two reasons; firstly, the lovely palm court in the old station, and secondly - please don't miss this - the Memorial to the Victims of the Atocha Station Bombings. We found this hard to find but just ask; it is very, very moving, with all the victims named. Take a moment to share this. The Mediodia is right next door to Reina Sofia art gallery (Guernica) but it was closed on Tuesdays! Went to the Prado instead, a short walk up the road. An excellent stay in one of Europe's finest capitals.

Stayed as a family of two couples in early fifties, in a 4-bed room with en suite bathroom. Ticked all the boxes for us. Fantastic rooms. The beds were luxury and cleanliness defined! Best part is, they had handles on the walls to make it easier to climb for the upper bunk beds. Great location, close to the metro and Madrid Atocha railway station. Walking distance from the museums and other sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Great security. They don’t have a kitchen but there are tons of budget eateries nearby.

There are three 60 Balconies properties all within a short distance of each other in Madrid. This one is 60 Balconies- Art. When researching (and arriving..!) make sure you have the right one. This one is really well located - just across from the main train station, and a short distance to many of the major art galleries and cultural institutions. It is a short walk to both the botanical and El Retiro gardens. We had a two bathroom/two bedroom apartment. (One bathroom is an ensuite off the main bedroom). The apartment had a well appointed kitchen - although no guide to work that we think was an oven (?) and a machine that looked like a coffee maker. The crockery had seen better days, however for the short times we were actually in the apartment and not outdoors enjoying everything Madrid had to offer; it wasn't really an issue. The lounge is spacious - but like most places we stayed on this trip why is there only one two seater couch in an apartment that caters for four...? The location is a standout - just ignore the fast food chains and garishly lit cafes around the outside of the building. Its just a short walk or a quick taxi ride to all you need. Oh and there is a metro stop right outside the door...

The place is very well located. The amenities are adequate and the room was tiny. But that wouldn't have been a problem for us if it wouldn't have been that there were only 4 hangers in a quirky display. Non of this is good when you have big jackets and several layers. I had no place to put my jacket! It has to be on my bed all the time, at night it made a nice extra layer but not the point! I had been in other tiny hotels that have managed much better space for suitcase and coats. We were lucky we only have 2 tiny backpacks, otherwise we would have to choose either the suitcases on the bed or us on the bed. Deco is quirky but not very functional.

I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. A total tim because we pay for a hostel and gives us is ”pension” for calling it in any way. We spent 5 days staying, and we were very well received by Alex, great communication, he was very friendly and helped us with lots of tips about the city. Positive points - Comfortable room. - Great location. Near to all museums and amazing coffees around. - Quality bed and sheets. - Good shower, water pressure and heating. - They have lockers to store bags before or after check-in. - Well decorated and renew room - Good bath towels - offer coffee, tea and cookies daily at reception ;) Important to know: There is no cleaning service, for a longer stay, I believe this is an important point to pay attention to. Not all apartments in the building are part of the accommodation. The building is under renovation, which may affect the opening of windows or entry into the building (January 2024)

Staff was nice and allowed an early check in. Great location with the train station a five minute walk. The Prado and the plaza Mayor both very walkable. Plus, there are a number of excellent restaurants in the area. The downside is the street noise. We had a room on the 5th floor without AC which required us to have our windows open and the noise from the very busy street was deafening. And at 3 am people returning from their night out partying- laughing and yelling could be heard. I think the rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. But, I would recommend a room high up with AC or in the back of the hotel.

Met up with friends in Madrid expecting to be able to stay at their hotel. When there was no room available I was referred to the Radisson Red right across the street. Reception welcomed me in a friendly and professional way even though I just turned up without any reservation. They were also very helpful with the self checkout. My breakfast one morning was very slow but it was busy. That was the only drawback during my two day stay. I would stay there again and would make a reservation first!

I'm probably bring slightly generous in my rating as this is a good hotel but not very good. However, I think it would be unfair to rate it as average which is the next rating scale on TripAdvisor. It's very conveniently located if you're coming into the main railway station and is a short walk away and there is an elevator to street level from the station if you have heavy suitcases. It's also a short walk to the Prado and the Reine Sofia but about a 30 minute walk up to Plaza Mayor. The rooms are comfortable and new. They're not very big but for a short stay they're adequate. The bathroom is of a fair size and the amenities in the room are good. They have breakfast at the hotel but we didn't use it so I can't comment.

Excellent location less than a 10-minute walk from Atocha station. It is an ideal place to spend the night and continue your trip or if you plan to spend the whole day visiting Madrid and are looking for affordable accommodation near Atocha, Cibeles or Retiro Park, etc. Our room was very simple with a sink, shower tray and towels. The bathroom was outside the room and shared with other guests, in our opinion the bathroom was quite clean.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. Exceptionally clean, really friendly and attentive staff, good atmosphere in the downstairs bar area and on the roof bar, good breakfast and very comfy, well equipped room. Wasn’t too sure initially about the area but we soon felt very comfortable and found some great bars and restaurants locally off the tourist trail. Great location for walking to the centre, La Latina, El Rastro, the park (El Retiro), the art galleries and metro/train connections. Loved Madrid.

Very central apartment! Unpretentious but with everything absolutely necessary. To highlight the cleanliness and that our beds were made daily. The heating worked very well and in no time you had the space warm. Quiet and fairly quiet building. The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows too. I'm only going to give two negative points. The first, even if the heating worked perfectly, we don't like to turn it on at night and we miss an extra blanket in the closet. Secondly, the pillows had no protector. The normal thing, and more so in a hotel/apartment, is to put a protective cover between the pillow itself and the outer cover. I did miss that since I find this lack of protection unpleasant. Leaving this aside to say that I would return with my eyes closed!

Can be an extra bed, we are 8 years old and there is no extra bed fee. But this time the hygiene is not good. On the day of the check-in, the bathtub in the room was all sand and stone. It was not cleaned. Waiting for the waiter to open the night bed, I asked for cleaning. In the evening, I went to the small garden to rest, and I ordered a glass of champagne. The waiter actually used a glass of water-filled glass (estimated to be washed and not dried) and poured champagne directly to me, hehe! The next day, the children will sleep more than 7 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, the children's bed and the quilt are inexplicably wet. Later I went to the front desk and asked them to make better bedding. Very hurt. In such a good location, the rest of the hotel is very good, it is a sanitary situation, it is unacceptable.

We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

It's an easy walk to the Royal Palace, the Plaza de Espana subway stop is directly across the street, lots of restaurants close by, easy walk to Puerta del Sol, excellent dinner in the restaurant. large rooms. An extremely well run operation that should be the model for others in it's class.

I gave this a four-star review based on the fact that it is a BUDGET hotel. We stayed here for three-nights at the beginning of our trip to Spain in September. As a couple, with several large suitcases, it was okay for a few nights, we were not able to unpack much so getting ready each day was a challenge. The hotel is quiet and the beds are comfortable. It's odd that the shower is in the middle of the room (as opposed to being within an enclosed bathroom) so each time we showered the room stayed very humid for a good amount of time. Thankfully, the windows do open and you can control the temperature of your room so this wasn't much of an issue. We sleep with eye masks on, so this wasn't an issue, but right above the bed in our room there was a smoke or CO2 detector that flashed a green light all day and all night. If we didn't have our masks, this would have driven us crazy at night. This hotel isn't in the tourist hot spots, but it's near a main road with stores and restaurants. It's a two-minute walk from a metro station and the Madrid subway is affordable and easy to navigate. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Rooftop bar with heated swimming pool. Restaurant with nice breakfast available (we had our breakfast previously booked and are very glad we did so). We arrived early and had our luggage safe stored by the front desk personnel; same for when we had our check-out (late flight). Super nice, friendly, helpful professional personnel. Superb location, if you are a moderate walker you can walk to just about everywhere. Lots and lots of restaurants (all prices range) within 200m radius (some 24h open). Part of a hostel. Bedroom is small with worn out built in robes. There’s ironing board with no iron. Living area is spacious. TV only has Spanish programs. Kitchen has fridge, electric cooktop, washing machine, dishwasher, pots & fry pan, plates/bowls, kitchen utensils. No dishwashing powder for dishwasher, nor washing machine. One problem is there’s no power point in kitchen area for benchtop electrical appliances. For some reason the electrician didn’t connect any power points next to benchtop. We had to use the kettle, toaster & coffee machine at the power point next to the floor. Even the staff couldn’t explain why. Maybe only in suite 306. Staff has to defrost the fridge as it’s slowly building up ice. 3rd night was a bit noisy from nearby till early hours of the morning not sure from nearby neighbourhood or from hostel. No tea/coffee/milk provided. Stayed 3 nights with no housekeeping done. Good location facing road leading to Plaza Mayor. It’s a very busy street. Not very clean with lots of rubbish & homeless people sleeping around the place. Other streets much cleaner & some with beautiful buildings.

Stayed here as a city break treat and got back yesterday. We are a British couple. Amazing hotel. 7th floor. Very clean. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Great amenities. About 8 minute walk from metro Herrera Oria- it is a bit of an incline up a couple of hilly streets but it was doable with the heavy luggage. There is a mercadona (supermarket) about 100 yards left of the hotel. Very well stocked. We bought some oat milk and put it in the small fridge in the room. We had room service- lovely club sandwich and Caesar salad. One of the lovely hotel staff then told us about a bus route- game changer! Route 133 takes you direct from outside the hotel (and stops outside the hotel on the return journey) and goes to Callao which is only a 5-10 minute walk to the main square- Plaza Mayor and the San Miguel market. We used the bus daily- sometimes more than once! Air conditioned, always a space as we got on the bus at the start or near the start of the route each time. Return journey from Callao- the 133 goes in the direction of Mirasierra. Get off at the tapas bar at the top of the road near the hotel (I think it was called Jaimi or something similar - worth stopping off for a beer and some tapas!) or get off the stop adjacent to the hotel. Bus is €1.50 per journey. Very clean. You can use your normal contactless card. There are also usb points for your mobile phone near some of the seats. It’s about 40 minutes on the bus. Both bus 24 (direction of Lacoma) and 133 (direction of Callao) is about 3 stops to the Herrera oria metro station. We took the 24 bus from the hotel with our luggage to the metro before heading back to the airport. We loved this hotel and would definitely return! The photos I do have don’t do the place justice. Felt like a lovely safe residential neighbourhood. Very quiet too.

Oh goodness where to start.... After a couple of weeks of traveling we were ending our trip with a night at the AC Hotel near the airport for ease of travel the next morning. We arrived and met Carmen, she is AMAZING! Bottom line when my friend made the reservation she made it for October 30th, not October 29th, and the hotel was full. After some mad typing and serious looking on the computer Carmen found us the very last room in the hotel. The room was absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, and really comfortable, very sad we were only able to enjoy it for one evening. DON'T USE THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE!!!! So, the next morning, we used the airport shuttle service, OMG! The shuttle driver the next morning if it was on a rating system the star would have to start with a negative. She was unkind, unhelpful, and REALLY RUDE! Be aware when you are using this service you better do your research and know the specific terminal you are flying out of, not the airline, as she will rain hell down on your head. Thank goodness the staff in the hotel was so wonderful, professional, and terrific, couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend this property.

Hotel that is not really a ... No reception on site which is located in another establishment****t of a adjacent street. A double-room, despite the persistent smell of freshly posed painting ... A simple room, at the same price, absolutely escaped: very demanding with bathroom of the same end; very difficult to return, no rangement possible and especially giving side street, which is particularly animated all night ... A this add the total absence of noise insonorization of the building that decouples the very noisy character of this establishment*****t : Telephone, access to conversations including telephones from your room neighbors, doors that clack, voice screams and ************** ... live guaranteed! For the telereality amateurs this can therefore do the case... The only positive points are: - The innocent cleanliness of this establishment*****t. The only soul that lives and possible interlocutor... - His geographical location - And especially the establishment*****t from the face! Blume Cruz suites where you can take a delicious breakfast while enjoying a particularly sympathetic and warm welcome :)

Hemos estado alojadas 3 noches y solamente decir chapeau.

We checked in on New Year’s Eve at 11:30, coming straight from the airport, and by midnight we were sitting in front of the fire with drinks, counting down until 2024 with complimentary grapes that the hotel so nicely provided! We enjoyed the amenities and the bathtub in the spacious bathroom and slept well in the comfortable bed. We were able to get to the city center for a nice walk while the hotel stored the luggage and we used the shuttle to and from our terminal- easy and quick.
