As it was the Chinese New Year weekend I am happy to have booked together with breakfast as many shops were closed. Breakfast spread is also good. |1.27km from city centerMy partner had chosen Ming Paragon as our home for 3 nights in Kuala Terengganu as it was centrally located & close to many places of interest. It proved to be a good decision as much research had taken place prior to our holiday. Our flight had arrived in mid-morning. But since check-in was at 2:00 pm, we had brunch first & visited 2 places of interest to kill time. We arrived at the hotel just before 2:00 pm & parked the car in front of Ming Paragon as we were not aware that the hotel’s parking was behind the building. We had also used a parking app to pay for the street parking. Check-in was fast & hassle-free. There was no porter or concierge service as this is a 3-star hotel. We carried our luggage ourselves. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was smaller than I expected. However, it was decent & clean. The mattress was not as comfortable but the strategic location more than made up for it. The air-conditioning was good & at least there was floor space for us to pray. The bathroom was a good size. The water pressure was equally good. Best of all, it was equipped with a hand-bidet. That was a pleasant surprise as it was a Chinese hotel to begin with & I half expected it not to have one. The shower gel, shampoo & conditioner smelled good too. A hair-dryer was also available. WiFi was available & complimentary. However, the TV reception wasn’t good. There was much interference. Since we were mostly outdoors, it didn’t bother us so much. Although there was no refrigerator, there was a coffee & tea-making facility. A central fridge was available in the lobby. Hence, we had left our food in their chiller. We had parked at the hotel’s designated parking in the evening. A security guard watches over our car free of charge as it was complimentary for hotel guests. We will definitely stay again whenever we are in Terengganu as Ming Paragon Hotel had met our expectations.

There's a Tealive outlet downstairs and free designated parking for hotel customers, which we are very thankful for. The hotel has elevators, so its definitely great for people with large suitcases, little kids, or elderly. Room has hot shower, bidet, clothing hangars, clean towels, and TV. It also comes with complimentary shampoo/body wash, tea/coffee making corner, and bottled mineral water. Bed was comfy, pillows just ok, blanket is thick enough, and air-conditioner is also functioning well. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy; there's deposit collected so please remember to bring cash. Worth the money, lovely stay, and also near to Nasi Dagang Atas Tol. Room doesn't have an iron/ironboard but there's an ironing corner at the hallway for our level.

Firstly, it's at a convenient location with many nearby places for food (for breakfast, lunch or dinner) and a large shopping mall within walking distance for your shopping. Also within walking distance to many of the tourist attractions - Pasar Payang, Istana Maziah, Chinatown, Trg Drawbridge, food trucks. Our family of 4 stayed in their VIP room that comes with 2 double beds, a sofa set, TV, good wifi and even a jacuzzi and amenities like fridge and coffee/ water service. The room was very clean for a budget hotel (I've stayed in worse rooms in 4-star hotels). The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. There's free parking for those who drive. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay at the hotel especially for my kids and I, and I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Kuala Terengganu.

|6.69km from city centerThey stayed at this hotel for the night. They arrived here in the afternoon from the island of Redanga and flew to Kuala Lumpur at 9am the next day. Hotel pluses : 15min walk to the airport (if you don't plan to go to the city, only for a night stay, then save 30MR by taxi to the city). Near the sea, we weren't, but read that a good beach, you can swim. Not taking a deposit. Low price for accommodation. Not bad area of the hotel. And further minusciki. The hotel consists of 2-story two-story buildings. We took the standard number (to get on the first floor and it's bad, I'll write why). The room itself is normal, the room is clean, costs 2 beds one bed, a table, a TV, a teapot (no coffee-tea),2 bottles of water. What didn't like in the room: doubtful that was clean underwear on the beds, didn't look fresh. A terrible hard pillows (I couldn't sleep at night, eventually cleaned at all). Air conditioner opposite the beds and blowing in the face, but you will turn off – dusty. Not a pleasant smell in the room. There is no fan, safe, refrigerator, towel only one bath per room. In the bathroom is increasingly – showers with hot water, there is soap, shampoo. Comparatively clean. I didn't like breakfast starts from 7 a.m. This is late for a transit hotel. The plane was before CL at 9 a.m., did not risk and remained without included in the booking of breakfast. It is possible to eat near the hotel we do not know, on the day of settlement, called a taxi and left to the city to the Crystal Mosque, there had lunch, and had dinner in the city center in the shopping mall, not far from the bus station. But the worst thing, in this hotel is that the hotel is located on the territory of a kindergarten or for a time when local children (from 8-12let) come here as in a kindergarten. We are not against children (the children themselves). But for people who want to rest and sleep in this hotel it won't work. At least we're not lucky. The corpse is 2nd floor, our standard room is 1st floor. Children were up to 23:00 whether they were studying, whether they were preparing for something in the acting hall, and after classes on the 2nd floor above us the hours before 2nd night jumped, loudly chatted, moved chairs, cheered all over. In the morning, no light did not rise and went to classes or breakfast. Shorter night I didn't sleep at all: without a pillow, a air conditioner blowing in the face, the children mad over the head. The purpose of stopping at this hotel was to sleep before two long flights the next day. But I was more tired than rested. Personally we will no longer stay in this hotel, although the price at the hotel is funny. The disadvantages overweight the pluses.

The window silicone is old already that cause the rain came inside. The water pipe also has been broken. We have to change our room from room no 107 to no 106 then lastly to room no 112. The room is spacious for family. The service quite good. Staffs response immediately that day. Thanks to them. The pool is nice and spacious. My sons love the pool very much. It makes our holidays happy. Thank you.

It surely could use some maintenance. The walls are thin. I could hear the next door's phone alarm ringing. If someone walks past the corridor dragging the luggage by the wheel, you can hear it. I could also hear stupid kids from don't know how many doors down. Some people have multiple kids and don't know how to shut them up and allow them to be screaming and shouting up to 11pm. Called the reception to complain but they did nothing. Lots of restaurants nearby so you can walk down to chinatown and get some good food. It's really close by the graveyard btw, can get eerie if you are walking past when it's dark.

The landlord we met was a grandmother and took us to a small office to check in at a simple fee. The room is very large, very comfortable, with a hall and a bedroom, it should be a remodeled apartment. There are not many hotel facilities. But we stayed on the island so we only stayed one night. This location is particularly suitable. You can walk to Chinatown and S Pier to Redang Island. The hotel’s left hand Chinatown, and the alley on the opposite side is the pier meeting place. The hotels that go to Redang Island are basically from here. Take a taxi to the airport for 30 MYR.

Food: some are tasteless and bland, some are too salty. No in between one. We rather go out to buy lunch dinner rather eat their food. Staff: Worst front desk staff that they can hire. Im surprised their management hire this kind of people. No hospitality, no manner, no common sense. You should do a re-organisation. No critical thinking, dont know how to handle crisis. Overal experience: Check in and room situation: We arrived at the resort at around 11am. And during the check in, the staff there mention that our room is yet to be ready (and informed that the check in time is actually 3pm) , and they said that they *will inform us by calling my number when the room is ready*. After that, we keep asking them the room status every hour. At our 2nd time asking, they mentioned that there is some maintenance issue that they need to attend to our room, and its not yet ready. So we waited. We waited until 2.30pm, and decided to ask them the room status. And when we asked them for an update at 2.30pm, only they informed us that our room is actually leaking and the maintenance not able to fix it. So they offer us a 2 separate double room (we booked a quad sharing instead of double sharing), they didnt really give us and option, we need to take it because we have been staying outside for almost 4 hours. But even though they offered 2 room, only 1 room is ready, and another room will only be ready at 4 (be mind that the check in time is at 3pm). They didnt even have the courtesy to do as what they say (which is to call me when there is a room or an update about our room), they didnt call me to say oh we have a room ready. So if i didnt go and ask, they will just let us sleep under the sun, in our travel clothing until the sun is set?? 2nd day lunch situation: They refused us our lunch on the second day because quote “oh we will not provide the lunch of the people that go for snorkelling because we have prepared it at Sari Pacifica Lang Tengah. We have prepared the lunch at Sari Pacifica Redang for the exact number of pax that didnt go for snorkelling trip”. Please note ah, the lunch was in a buffet (self service), so how can a 4 person eat until finished everything? At 9.20am the same morning, i already informed the snorkelling centre guy that our group will not join for lunch. And also at 12pm, just before lunch, we took our new room key Winnie, the front desk manager also aware that we didnt go for snorkelling trip. And when we make a complaint through our agent, they defended that we need to inform them (front desk) if we dont want to go for snorkelling. But their management also said that, the snorkellin

The family room is value for money for two nights’ stay in a strategic location (near Kuala Terengganu Chinatown). The hotel does not have its own car park; parking is the public parking bays along the street (daily rates are applicable but we didn’t have to pay because our stay was during the public holidays and the weekend). Our request for four single beds was fulfilled. Overall, we had a comfortable stay in this hotel. Just a bit of advice for future guests: There’s no elevator service in the building. Hence, please do not rate this hotel badly because of this fact. This hotel is near a mosque/ surau, so morning prayers can be heard clearly. Whilst this does not bother my family (this is after all rather common in Malaysia), light sleepers should take note. Again, please do not rate this hotel badly because of the morning prayers being heard.
