It is close to the pedestrian street, and there is a Carrefour supermarket next to it. It is very convenient to eat and eat. It can not reach the seaside of Columbus statue in more than ten minutes. The disadvantage is poor hygiene, the kettle is very dirty, although the bathroom phone is not very useful, it should not It's all dust!

Location The best you can ask. Easy access from the airport. You can take bus from the airport and stop at the last stop. From there, the place is just 10 minutes walk. It also few minutes walk from La Rambla, around 10 minutes walk to Gothic Quarter and 5 minutes walk to San Antoni. There are few metro stations as well within five minutes walking distance that you can choose. There are few grocery shops as well within walking distance. And plenty of good restaurant and hipster cafe for you to choose. Service Friendly receptionist. Very quick in responding to your query. They provide breakfast but you have to go to the bakery next door for the food. Price at eur5 per person. We did not take this, hence not able to provide review. Room Very clean! Spacious for three people. Our room have balcony as well which give that extra touch. The room comes with kettle and also hairdryer, which some hotel which charge extra for these. The heater in the room will keep you warm during cold night. The toilet is also clean, strong shower pressure and constant hot shower. Just what you need after long day of exploring the city Overall, value for money. Superb location, friendly service and clean room with reasonable price. The best you can ask for!

I booked this hotel in November for a July 2020 stay and unfortunately had to cancel due to Covid-19. The email communication with the hotel staff was thoughtful, informative, professional and courteous from my first inquiry email to the last and there were plenty because I had lots of questions, lol. I always do tons of research before I book anything and I was ecstatic when I came across Casa Camper for my stay before and after a Mediterranean cruise. It has all the amenities I wanted and then some plus it has large spacious, well air conditioned rooms. I was super excited to be able to book a non refundable room and save even more money after I had my airfare in place. Fast forward a few months and the next thing I know, my cruise was canceled. I reached out to the concierge by email and asked if I could get a credit or a refund. They wrote back to say yes, they’d give me credit for my non refundable bookings and would even extend the expiration to July of 2022. I was so very grateful for their understanding. Another month passed and it seems like the situation has gotten worse with more travel advisories in place. I wrote them again asking if they’d consider giving me a cash refund because it is a difficult time and I don’t know when I’ll be able to visit Barcelona. I know they were under no obligation to and they’ve already been nice enough to give me the credit, but I could really use that money right now and thought it couldn’t hurt to ask very nicely. They replied back pretty quickly to say yes, they can refund me. They also said they’d be in touch once the money is being processed by their accountant. I thanked them profusely and waited. In a couple weeks, I received another email from them to say the money has been refunded and that I’d see it in a couple days. I am so thankful that there are nice and decent people like the manager and staff of Casa Camper. People who understand that we are in an unprecedented global pandemic and every penny counts. I cannot wait until we can travel again safely and freely so I may visit Barcelona and stay at this amazing place. Thank you again. -Monica

The impression of this hotel is pretty good, every time I see the front desk, I smile and say hello, the hotel front desk chocolates are delicious, and I still have a greeting card and chocolate on the bed at Christmas, but unfortunately I check out after the second night Yes, but I forgot the bracelet in the hotel. The housekeeper refused to admit it. I spent three nights in Barcelona and the third night was still nearby. I did n’t admit it when I found it. I think it ’s just Swarovski. The location of the hotel is very good, quiet in the middle, and friendly and polite staff. The breakfast at own expense is also good. The traditional Western breakfast is mainly frozen meat and cheese. There is no hot plate, but the coffee is good. Note that the room is not cleaned every day, if you want to clean, you need to pay extra. The rooms are spacious and the air-conditioning is very good, which is really good. Next time I go to Barcelona, I will choose this hotel again!

Auberge jeunesse superbe. Boy voyage

Good location Downstairs is Brandon Avenue Opposite is a big Carrefour. 5 minutes from Plaza Catalunya, 7-8 minutes from the Bodega Market. The beach is about 30 minutes. You can wear the alleys to feel the time passing through, and the atmosphere of the city, but also pass by the Barcelona Episcopal Church. The hotel itself is like this. The room is not too small. A little noisy along the street. Service is OK.

I chose to stay here on the recommendation of a blog I found online and it didn’t disappoint! I wasn’t on a tight budget, but equally I didn’t want to spend loads on the hotel either, and this was a perfect middle ground. I think officially it was a 2 star place so some of the obvious things you’d get in a 3 or 4 star place were missing (tv, hair dryer, coffee in the room) but since I wasn’t planning on staying inside watching tv and I never dry my hair it didn’t bother me. There was no breakfast provided but this was a good thing as it meant you had a good excuse to go out and try the many fab bakeries in the area. Coffee and tea were available in the lounge downstairs so unless you’re the type of person who can’t actually get out of bed without a coffee then this is great. You also get to chat to other people and read some of the books on offer. My room was small but clean and tidy (though the fire escape plan showed some of the other rooms were larger so if you were more than one you would hopefully be in a bigger one). The bed was large (180cm I think) so plenty of space for two, or to spread out! The only slight drawback was that the curtains were more for decoration than to block out the light so if you can’t sleep if it’s a bit light you might have a problem in summer. For me it was November so it only got light once I wanted to get up anyway and was dark well before I got back to the room. The shower was great, the air conditioning worked though I only turned it on briefly, and the towels were large and thick, unlike some thin ones I’ve had in more expensive places. I did hear a bit of noise from other guests because it was an old building with thin walls and floors, but it was not excessive or particularly late/early so wasn’t a problem. Whether this might be worse at the weekend I don’t know. I was expecting to be able to hear noise from the street which was busy even though it was a small alley but I couldn’t (though with the windows shut and in a room at the back). The location was perfect, about 3 minutes from Universitat metro, and right next to La Rambla where all the action is. All in all it was a lovely place to have some me-time and I was glad to have chosen this place which had lots of character and charm making it a much more authentic experience than the usual boring chain hotels I have ended up with for work.

This hotel is really cool. You can do your own cooking, rooms are well air-conditioned. Location is perfect for sightseeing. Metro within walking distance. Taxis outside the door if you wish to take taxi to the lovely beaches which are about 10 mins away. Well worth an early morning walk on Barcelonetta beach, nice breeze in the morning and a great start to the day.

EXE PLAZA CATALUNYA, 2 nights, €180 per night I did not expect to stay at the Exe Plaza, in fact, I had not booked it at all. My reservation at an adjacent hotel was cancelled without notice or warning. You could imagine my surprise and slowly building rage when I arrived after disembarking a 7 hour flight, fighting through the airport and a taxi ride later to find my room was unilaterally terminated. What a time to be alive. But Exe Plaza was next door and within 15 minutes I had an online reservation and 10 minutes afterwards I was standing in my room. So far so good and so grateful. The checking process was extremely efficient and likely partly aided due to the online booking. The hotel is extremely well placed within one of the busiest and most popular spots in Barcelona. If you are a tourist visiting the city then, based on location, you could ask for nothing more. There is a carousel of open top sightseeing bus tours within 30 seconds of the front door. It is also a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport from the hotel assuming the traffic is forgiving. Taxis will set you back around €20. After the location and efficient check-in, the hotel starts to be judged more closely. Exe Plaza is quiet, clean has reliable Wi-Fi throughout which is free and at no additional charge (unlike some parasitic hotels). The staff are friendly, they speak perfect English in case you do not speak Spanish: there is just about nothing they can’t do or organise for you which is great. The rooms are a very decent size given that this is a European hotel, which is often a shoebox tastefully decorated. However, it is a little austere. There is solid light wood panelling and a very large floor-to-ceiling window that allows lights to flooding throughout the room. To be honest this feels a little like a Nordic IKEA show room minus all the vases, glasses and lamps that you are subtly encouraged to buy. This means that this well sized room is very bright. The bed is very comfortable, the sheets are soft and I slept well my entire time. There is a large screen TV here as well. Lastly, there is one of the largest mirrors I’ve ever seen in a hotel in case you are looking for a full length. The showers are hot and the water pressure is reliable. There are toiletries but you will want to bring your own. There is also a nicely stocked minibar. Is there anything wrong with this hotel? No, nothing is obviously wrong. However, if you are someone who wants to stay in the middle of Barcelona and you also enjoy a hotel then you may want to do a bit more research. By enjoying a hotel what I mean is if you like something that is more luxurious, something with boutique design features, a hotel with multiple facilities such as a gym or spa: this is not the hotel for you. For example, if you are coming to Barcelona for a romantic getaway and the hotel plays an integral part in that experience, this is not going to fit the brief. That said, if you are the kind of traveller who

We stayed at this apartment as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). I would recommend this place as its very centrally located and overall, was a lovely apartment. Perhaps a rating in between average and very good. Location: Great location. Major tourist attractions are walking distance from this apartment (10mins – 1 hour). But should you prefer to take the underground metro, the stations are just a few minutes walk. There are two major supermarkets (15 second walk). But if they are closed, there are other 24-hour shops located (a minute away) to get your basic groceries (fruits and veg, milk, bread, beer etc). Included amenities: Fully furnished apartment, including crockeries and utensils. Booked for 7 days. For stays greater than 5 days, cleaning service is available. Apartment equipped with shower/ hair gel and other essentials. Extra towels, bedsheets and pillows were included too. The apartment also had some basic essentials provided for the kitchen. As an added benefit, a Nespresso machine with coffee pods. There also is a safe (with a key) provided to store your valuables should you choose to do so. Apartment was very clean on arrival and check-in is done through an automated machine. Was a bit cumbersome to use, but there is a phone available to speak to someone should you face issues. Areas for improvement: Free WiFI is available but flaky at times and connection did not reach all rooms. Generally, it in a quiet location but the apartment was not very sound proof. There were some builders in the apartment who started work at 9:00am and this certainly woke us up with the heavy drilling and hammering. Between each floor, if you have someone walking with heavy feet on the upstairs apartment, you will certainly here it too. The shower certainly needs a refurbishment. Cold water most days. Got maintenance to look at it twice but made no difference. Water temperature fluctuated from luke-warm to cold. And not to mention, the way the shower door is located, you do get a puddle of water forming outside. Unfortunately, on our final day of check-out, the lift stopped working. Had to carry suitcases down a spiral stair-case which was not the easiest thing to do. Overall, inspite of the few issues we faced, it certainly would be an apartment I would be ok staying again.

If I did not receive an additional fee of more than one hundred euros after leaving the hotel, I would give a full score ... The additional cost of the child is calculated to 30 euros per night, plus a city construction tax of 7.6. I remember when I was at the front desk, I told I added 20 euros per night. Besides that, the experience was excellent. The location is excellent, the seaside, the British Palace and the Baroque House can be walked by. The rooms are equipped with ritual toiletries. The beds were particularly comfortable and the rooms were cleaned clean. Families with children (2 years and older) must choose a triple room in advance.

This hotel is still in a very good location. It only takes five minutes to walk to the Sagrada Familia, and the subway is next to the Sagrada Familia, and it is ten minutes to walk to the Holy Cross Saint Paul Hospital. From here, no matter if you take the subway to Camp Nou, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Gracia Avenue is very convenient. The room is also spacious. The reason why I beat the four stars for hygiene was that the first night I noticed that there was a curved black hair under the pillow, which was a bit disgusting. But in fact, they are cleaned every day. It is estimated that they are sticky? ? ? Hygiene in the next few days is still OK. At first we were a little afraid the room wasn't what we expected. Some of the reviews were quite great and others far below. The direct website has it all: the information, nice pictures and it we thought: let's take the "risk". We booked the better room with two separate beds. We walked through the streets and couldn't find it. But than, just on the corner there's the location. 10 minutes walking distance of Gracia and 15 minutes walking distance of Playa Catalunya and the Ramblas. You will stay in the complex between the locals. The room was nice, beautiful decoration, airco, sidetable with chairs, two balcony's (just to stand, no place for chairs) and an own bathroom (including soap and shampoo/douche gel) with every day clean towels. Also the beds are made every single day. The air freshener welcomes you "home" after a day of sightseeing. At the hallway you can put you drinks and snacks in a shared fridge. Breakfast is between 8.30 and 10.30 and is fully equipped. It's also possible to eat breakfast on the shared balcony/terrace. We had a really great stay over here! We stayed 6 nights en 7 days. The location is great. Just remember you are in the middle of the city, so you will hear everything. Cars, scooters, bikes etc. will drive through the streets so it will never be a 100% soundproof place. And that makes it special. You know you are one of the locals during your citybreak at Barcelona. Would definitely come back and recommend this place! (will choose the "better room" with own bathroom again).
