We arrived at 3 pm as planned with the owner. We were very warmly greeted and shown our 2 rooms - one facing east and parking, the other facing west and gardens. A couple of onsite cats were entertaining too! Marius arranged transportation for us to return our rental car at the somewhat inconvenient location of Figari airport; driver arrived on the minute planned. Same driver took us to the ferry port next morning early, and again was spot on time. Marius makes a very good fresh fruit salad with the expanded continental breakfast. Sadly, we did not have warm enough weather to enjoy the beautiful pool. Rooms include mini-fridge which are very convenient when on Corsican road trips. Only thing we would change is for a bigger garbage can in the room-how small an issue is that? We all loved Casa Martini!

We visited for a two night stay in the low season, mid March. The hotel was very quiet and we were upgraded to a fabulous room. Wonderful bathroom, lovely shower & spa bath with L’Occitane complimentary toiletries. Comfortable bed & very clean room. Small fridge and kettle with tea & coffee. Some lovely little details to the room, including a tree! Room 105. I am sure other rooms are nice & have their own individual finishing touches. We had a terrace overlooking the herb & vegetable garden which was very pleasant. The hotel offered a safe place for our mountain bikes to be stored during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant, there was a limited menu as we were the only diners and the food was delicious with very friendly service. Breakfast was not included and we had this the first morning but declined the second as we felt quite pricey for what we were served. Unfortunately, we did not see the hotel at its best as the outside space & pool looked like in the summer months a great place to be. We will have to go back. Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Merci beaucoup!

We really enjoyed our stay here while visiting Corsica in late June. The rooms were really nice and the property was very pretty, quiet and relaxing. We loved drinking wine on our private patio before leaving for dinner in the evening. The breakfast was delicious - made to order eggs, bacon, yummy croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee all served on your private patio. The property is a less than 5 minute drive to the old town of Bonifacio which proved to be really helpful because the traffic going in and out of the town during the day is very congested. Lots of tour buses. We would visit the nearby gorgeous beaches during the day and go into the old town of Bonifacio for dinner in the evening when there was no traffic. It worked out perfectly. The hotels in the old town are extremely pricey so fighting traffic would not be good. This place is a tremendous value for the money and I would highly recommend to anyone.

The hotel is located very close to the Marina and, with its private free parking, is a good accomodation if you're driving a car. Our room was on the first floor and was quite comfortable though the window was facing a wall which was supposed to be a courtyard view. The bathroom and the toilet were 2 different, separated rooms. The walk through shower was huge but the shower bottom was weirdly made with plastic instead of ceramic. Basic toiletries were provided but not replaced once over. Except for that, housekeeping was ok. Full minibar but no glasses provided. There's a small bar on the ground floor. WiFi works quite well. Slightly priced for what it offers but we had a pleasant experience.

We visited last month and stayed in the ‘annex’ by the port, with the main hotel rooms, pool etc. up a rather big cliff. Upon booking we were informed that this would be suitable for the 5 of us and the hotel offered a free shuttle up to the main hotel if we wanted to go for breakfast or use the pool. Unfortunately we were greeted by a member of staff who didn’t seem to know what he was doing- no formal check-in or passports taken etc. No room tour or instruction on how to use the electronic gates to park and no mention of a shuttle to the main hotel. We had to ask him how to get to the hotel and he simply told us we go up the stairs and it’s at the top, which was not the case at all. We had to go right to the top and walk through a few streets and make several turnings before actually reaching the hotel. We asked about the shuttle service at reception and they seemed very reluctant and told us that the car only seats 4 people despite them saying it would be fine previously when they knew there were 5 of us. Breakfast was also highly disappointing. Not many hygiene measures were in place, with food out on display and nobody wearing masks really when they were serving themselves. We arrived for breakfast at around 10, and it finished at 11, but there was hardly anything left and we had to ask if we wanted anything else and then it took another 20 minutes to cook. The waitress who laid the table and served us did not take many safety precautions either and we did not see her clean her hands once even after pushing chairs in, writing things down and laying our table with her hands on the insides of our cups and all over our cutlery. It seems that a lot of the staff were quite inexperienced particularly some of the waiters in the restaurant which we ate at one evening. He was very blunt and quite rude and didn’t do anything or even apologise when we asked why the pasta was tagliatelle when the menu said farfalle. The pool area wasn’t great either with smashed glass that had not been cleaned up for several hours and a bag of what looked like rotting fruit left near the restaurant area which many members of staff had walked past but not bothered to clear up. The pool didn’t have enough sun beds either to accommodate everybody. Despite this, the room was nice and the cleaning was excellent. What was left of the food at breakfast was good but overall we were very unimpressed with the quality of staff at Hotel Genovese, the welcome we received and the false information about the shuttle bus.

I booked to stay here with my elderly father and 10 year old daughter. It was a last minute booking . Upon arrival the lady at reception very kindly switched our house to one more suitable for my father who cannot walk far. We were also offered assistance to the pool by a very friendly man (I’m so sorry I didn’t ask for your name but you were very kind!) The résidence was so sweet & charming , the pool was lovely and clean . The house was perfect to accommodate us . I did read complaints about the bathroom.. it was small and a little camping car style but it didn’t bother us because there were so many other positives. I didn’t mind cleaning up the house after our stay either, leaving it in the same condition we found it seemed very fair to me . The value for money was also reasonable considering every else I checked last minute in Bonifacio was double the price. Thank you once again and to anyone planing on booking I hope you have a lovely time !

The place was exactly as shown on the pictures. Nice apartment, not fancy but clean, complete, and cosy. The pool was also a great place to enjoy. The location of the domaine was ideal at a 5 minutes distance by car to the nearest beaches and to Bonifacio. Great service and friendly personnel.

Overall good ressort. Nice villas overlooking Santa Manza Bay/Maora Plage, 10 mins walk to beach. However, for EUR 260/night we would have expected a bit more: Wifi was non-existant anywhere else than around the pool area. I don’t think it is too much to expect in 2020 to have wifi in your own room and don‘t have to hang out in the common area as suggested by the owner. Apartments are also poorly equipped: no dishsoap, kitchen towels or anything else to do the dishes. Also not quite clear why an additional fee of EUR 40 is charged for cleaning. I would expect any hotel to clean their rooms for the new guests, and this is not Air BnB.

Extremely well-located in the harbour, next to restaurants, boat and little train tour departures and even next door to a supermarket (35c for 1.5 litre of water). Harbour view room worth splashing out for, junior suite super comfy, spacious and very new-looking (in fairness, we did not need all that space, but it felt good anyway). Very friendly staff - let us store our baggage until the room was available (we arrived early) and worked miracles to get us a taxi on departure day. Nothing is particularly cheap in Bonifacio, but here it was money well spent.

This small boutique hotel was perfect. The staff always went above and beyond! Not only were they there to take care of your requests they also provide a shuttle into town! The breakfast buffet was superb! The rooms are modern and lovely. The bed was so comfortable. Our room had a gorgeous private view. Apparently a spa is under construction - which will be great. We had dinner one night and it was a great meal. This is wonderful place to relax and unwind in a luxurious fashion. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Corsica! thank you to the team and especially Anna-Sophia for treating us so well.

“We put into that port, so well-known amongst sailors: where sheer double cliffs, with no gaps, encircle the harbor and two headlands squeeze the narrow entrance in their grasp.” “Homer, “Odyssey,” Chapter X. During all our days of driving along the Corsican “carousel” that we developed trying not miss any of the main sites, we were falling deeper and deeper in love with the raw beauty of this island. But we left our hearts in Bonifacio. This stunning city presides over the most beautiful harbor in Corsica, arguably admired by Homer and described in his “Odyssey.” Was Homer the first Bonifacio tourist? Homer or not, Bonifacio is simply breathtaking. Spreading over the top of limestone cliffs, the city owes its jaw-dropping magnificence to the medieval fortress and upper town houses that look toward Sardinia on one side and over its picture-perfect harbor on the other. According to historical records, Bonifacio as a city was born in 828 CE, when Marquis of Tuscany, named Bonifacio, was passing by that location returning from his African expedition. He decided to develop a fortified harbor town there and for almost three centuries the Pisans ruled the city. The Genoese came at the end of the 1100s and built their impressive fortress overlooking the sea. Whether the rulers were from Pisa or Genoa, the city lived by the two main industries: fishing and piracy. Even though by the end of the 1790s, Bonifacio, just like the rest of the island, fell under the French rule, it still feels more Italian than French, and is definitely different from the rest of Corsica. For our first trip to Bonifacio we chose hotel Cala di Greco as our home. Less than 10 minutes driving from Marina will bring you into a diffirent world, but you really need to know how and where to look for it. Old stone walls and massive wooden gates have no sign and seem to belong to a medieval mansion. Inside the gates, a primeval Corsican landscape with a rusty fishing boat under the tree reminds you that this world is surrounded by the sea. Be prepared for a stark contrast, for soon the landscape of scrubs will change into a group of villas, each behind its white wall, each within its own secluded world, complete with an enclosed courtyard, a patio, and a terrace. The hotel defines elegance and refinement: we had a junior suite, tasteful, spacious and comfortable. Our bedroom opened into a small terrace where we liked to drink Corsican Rose with terrific cheese from a local farm. I think I can still feel the taste of both in my mouth. The hotel’s pools are heated to almost 80 deg. F and are exceptionally beautiful. We especially liked the infinity pool with its breathtaking view of the city across the bay. That was a great location to enjoy the hotel’s wonderful breakfast. But we loved most to spend our late evenings there, breathing the sea air and absorbing the magical beauty in front of us as the sun was disappearing behind the horizon. The entire staff was high
