The full name of the hotel ”Menzeh ZALAGH boutique hôtel & sky” (Fes, 28 Rue Abessalem Serghini). They went to the hotel late in the evening (reserved for 3 nights), settled us on the 2nd floor, the lock on the door was shaking, hardly opened the door, furniture old - just from the top painted with paint, sheets in spots, white blanket was dirty, Without a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub- After long attempts to sleep, in the morning we were asked to move (the staff said that the club works until 6 a.m.), we were transferred to the 4th floor, the number is the same, by that time the club stopped working, But the roof is apparently located a chiler or ventilation installation and the sound from his work left no hope to sleep. Although the fare here was in return, I immediately went to the Internet and booked another hotel, we left in the morning, no money is a pity to escape.

It was less than 10 minutes by taxi from CTM bus terminal. It is about 6dh if it is a meter. It was near Carrefour, a large shopping center, and convenient for procuring food. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi to the old town. It is easy to do sightseeing.

The environment is good, the design is good, but I have never encountered the waiter who did not knock on the door and opened the door directly. It happened to be ready to take a bath. It was also a laundry fee. However, the clothes were not washed, and the iron was sent until the check-out. Did not send...

My husband and I decided to stay at a hotel outside the Fes medina, because we had already stayed at a riad in the Marrakesh medina earlier in our trip, and also our guide warned us that it wasn't safe to wander around the medina in Fes after sundown (he also warned us about walking anywhere by ourselves at night). After looking at the various hotel options, we decided to book our last two nights in Morocco at Palais Medina & Spa. It turned out to be the perfect place to wind down at the end of our trip. We booked directly with the hotel, and requested a room overlooking the pool. They gave us a wonderful room (Room 240), which had a king-size bed, sofa and desk area, and balcony with chairs and table overlooking the pool area. Our rate included breakfast, and it was a huge buffet, with lots of different options like scrambled eggs, potatoes, as well as pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. Although we had a driver and didn't need parking, there appeared to be plenty of secure parking at the hotel (you have to pass a security guard to enter the hotel grounds). We also loved the fact that the hotel is located next to the ”Borj Fez Centro,” a modern shopping mall with a food court, including U.S. restaurants like Pizza Hut, Burger King, etc. (McDonald's is also just outside the mall). We ended up bringing back takeout meals from the food court to enjoy on our balcony. There is also huge Carrefour supermarket on the ground floor of the shopping mall, and a liquor store next to it.

The hotel is relatively good, but nothing special. The most annoying thing is that wifi is only available at the reception desk, and quite limited / if 20 people are connected, one has to wait for other to disconnect to be able to connect /. The dinner menu at the restaurant is pretty poor and the only dessert is 2 types of fruit and nothing else. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Breakfast can be, every day is different, travel with friends, navigation is not accurate, around for a long time, in fact, the hotel is very close to the road, it is very convenient to go out, Miss sister gave me upgraded suite, we did not run out of Dirham, the boss I swiped the card to us, didn't overcharge us any fees, the very kind boss, we brought instant noodles, the waiter also knows that we have to boil water, and we don't think we are not happy when we order food on their side. The old grandfather and the person were very good. On the first day, we really didn’t have cash, didn’t give him a tip, and he wouldn’t be unhappy. When we left, we helped me to get a taxi, then told the driver to play the watch. Really very caring. It is suitable for taking children. I have seen that the next room is a four-person bed. It is very large and the parking lot is a few minutes away. It is very convenient. Then we have to go to the sun to dress and travel so much. It’s important to wear clothes.

The Moroccan-style renovated family hotel is very distinctive and the pattern on the architectural structure is exquisitely carved. The central courtyard used for gatherings and dining, where the roof top above can be opened to reduce the heat or can be closed to keep warm. Rooms are arranged around the courtyard which reminds me of Hui-style architectures. I also see the shadow of Chinese architecture in some Moroccan architecture but the difference is that in addition to wood, they use stone and mosaic as building materials to form a colourful visual effect as well.

I really want to recommend this place, apart from having very clean and tidy rooms, what I think shines about this place are the people who work here, from the moment we entered we were greeted with excellent costumer service, by Zakaria , then later when we dined at the hotel, we come to realize that the rest of the staff is just as amazing, from the evening manager, shady, to our waiter Mehdi and Ikram, making our dining experience superb, being extremely friendly and informative, and all together pleasant to talk to, and of course can't forget to thank the barista Samir, and the chef simohamed, and the evening staff was extremely helpful all round the night wassim, all together I had a great experience here and if I am ever in fez I know exactly where to go, and I hope after reading this you know as well.

Our family of five (including 3 young adult children) had an incredible stay at this beautiful ryad located in the heard of the Medina. Michel, the owner, along with his staff gave us a warm welcome and provided attentive service during our entire two night stay. This is a beautifully renovated ryad with a tasteful and eclectic decorating style. The calming courtyard has birds chirping, stained glass windows, beautiful fountain/dipping pool, and plenty of places to sit and relax. Each room is uniquely decorated, has plenty of room, and is very comfortable. Breakfasts each morning were great - pastries, yogurt, fruit and eggs. We highly recommend having at least one dinner at Ryad Salama as we did- beautifully prepared and delicious. Overall, we felt this was one of the best stays we have had on our many vacations and highly recommend Ryad Salama.

Used by two women. I am located in the middle of the old city and I think you can enjoy the atmosphere of Fes as it is. Because it is a riad, the interior is in Moroccan style, the tiles are cute, and the tension is increased. Add the welcome drink mint tea. The staff is very very friendly! ! If you are late and leave early in the morning but want to shop, He told me what he wanted because it did not open in the morning, so he visited recommended shops and restaurants. I’m sure it’s not very cheap, I was taken to a shop near my friends, I don't know if it's right or right, I'm very grateful soon. I didn’t give a tip because I could meet the next day, In the end, I couldn't meet and pass. No request. I really want to pass it. Each sheet of paper has 15DH printout service. The cost of a taxi to the airport is 200DH per person. It may be a little higher than the market price, but I think it can. I think there is no towel. The drainage in the shower is a bit bad. It is easy to block immediately, but it is fine to discard a small amount. With breakfast Simple bread and jam, orange juice, etc. appeared. I feel good eating on the roof. I want to stay for about three nights!

On y dort bien.

It really depends what is important to you. While this place has some shortcomings, the location may make it worth overcoming those. That said there are a ton of places to stay nearby, so it does feel like a bit of settling. Pros Location location location - it’s nice to not navigate the maze and harassment of the Médina. It is well placed for arrival/departure near a petit taxi stand and a very short walk to the Blue Gate. It’s also convenient to many restaurants and the bars of Hotel Batha. Decor - the lobby and rooms are nicely renovated and generally clean. Terrace - a nice rooftop terrace Plenty of hot water Air conditioning and heat in room Decent WiFi Cons Noise - Even with ear plugs and windows closed, I heard every knock at the door. Every phone ringing (began at 0630) and the noise in the alleyway. I can imagine this is significantly worse when there are more guests and visitors in general. I was upstairs, so I imagine that the room just off the lobby must be terrible. Ask to see your room before paying. Smell - as others noted the room has a smell. The heater seems to be the issue as it was most prevalent when in use. Bathroom - At 1.6m tall, I was as unable to sit on the toilet due to it being so close to shower. I literally had to use it sitting sideways. This seems problematic for anyone slightly taller or with limited mobility. The shower head was also broken which caused water to shoot everywhere in the bathroom. Housekeeping/security - I was surprised to find all of my stuff moved and rearranged upon returning to the room. I’ve never had such aggressive “cleaning” in a hotel. This included my bag and contents as well moving my underwear that was hanging to dry and my mouth guard which was on the bedside table. There is a safe and I would advise using it for valuables. On my last evening, I asked what time check out was and was told noon. The next day I returned before 11 to find my room wide open and already serviced. It’s unclear if they actually changed the sheets. I was happy to have traveled with a sleeping bag liner as there was only a flat sheet and blanket atop a mattress cover - odd. Breakfast - a carbfest of multiple breads and pastries. They will make eggs. Mine were raw on day 1, so I passed on the remaining days. It’s fine, but not worth delaying your day to stick around for it. Summary - if you’re a short, carb-loving heavy sleeper this might be the perfect place for you.

Nunca he tenido una tan mal experiencia.

Our family of 7 was split into 3 massive and accommodating rooms. The Ryad was architecturally eye-catching with each room being completely uniquely designed and spacious. While one room had 3 story ceiling and its own sitting area, another had private terrace access, so there will be a special room for you, whatever your needs. The food served for meals was the best we had on the entire trip with a good variety and perfectly-cooked chicken tagine. The Ryad also had several amenities including a terrace and a separate private meeting room. The staff was incredibly friendly and always helpful. This Ryad was among our favorites and a stay here is highly recommended.

Facilities: Except for some minor problems, everything else is pretty good. The bed 🛏 is very comfortable, and there is a small wardrobe in the room. The room at this price is 30 square meters, and breakfast is also provided. The price/performance ratio is really high! Hygiene: A very clean homestay! Environment: In stark contrast to the noise of shopping outside, as soon as you enter here, you will feel extremely quiet, very suitable for traveling to relieve work pressure. Service: There are only 4 employees in this homestay (two front desks + two cleaners). In the morning, you can see the two cleaners at the kitchen side, and most of the time there is only one front desk 💁🏻 staff, if you have time Both front desk employees were there. I was there in low season and I was the only guest there for 2 nights, so that was basically 4 people for the least money I paid 💰. If you have any questions, ask the two front desk staff. They are very pleasant and listen patiently and try their best to help you. On the morning of my departure, they helped me carry 🧳🧳 to the main road and took a taxi so that I left The front gave them 50 dirhams per person. Every night, the two front desk staff will cook dinner in the kitchen and invite me to eat for free. If you don't like spicy food and the taste is not very heavy, you can try Taji pot, the taste is still good, especially the strong fragrance. The 150 dirham dinner from the previous comment, I personally think this is a normal price, because you go to an outside restaurant (excluding roadside stalls) to eat the same meal or you go to a nearby Chinese restaurant to eat Chinese food, the cost is similar of. As for mineral water, this is a normal phenomenon. When you go to hotels or scenic spots, mineral water drinks are several times more expensive than many other places. But if you ask for hot water in the hotel restaurant, most of the time it is free 🆓. So instead of drinking cold mineral water, why not drink hot water (only in winter, no hot water in summer 🤣)? In short, next time I travel to this city, I may book this homestay again, so I also recommend people who travel here to stay here for a night or two.

We took a Petit Taxi from near Fes train station, agreeing a fare of 20 dirams to the Bab Ziat Old City Gate and took a short walk to the location, but 'door to door' pick up can be arranged. On arrival, the owners and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, asking for our interests and providing a useful local map. There are options to engage local guides, but we chose our own walking routes and locations to visit (it's a good idea to download Fes as an off line map on Google maps for navigation without using roaming data - it's easy to get lost in the medina but that's part of the experience). We were fortunate to have a room on the excellent roof terrace which was spacious, well decorated and very clean. There was strong WiFi throughout the safe and secure acommodation. An excellent breakfast is provided with option for a tasty evening meal (payable in cash when settling on departure - credit card in Dirhams can be used to settle for acommodation) in a beautiful dining area. The management are happy to receive WhatsApp messages to the phone numbers on their website for booking requests and queries etc. Thanks to Said, Fatima, Rashid & Mohammed for your attention and hard work.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour of Morocco for 2 nights and my room was on the 2nd floor. All looked okay but the bathroom door couldn't be opened properly as the bathroom was so small it hit the sink. The shower head was in a disgusting state and the water mainly came out the side of it. What looked like a king size bed was actually 2 singles pushed together except the top sheet didn't fit so it was more just draped over and the blanket on top the same so if their had actually been 2 people in the bed they would of been fighting over the bed clothes. The noise from outside at night was still loud despite earplugs. Every time I came in/out the room there was a trolley outside with leftover food I assume from someone's room service, morning & night - not at all appealing. The WiFi well a different login depending on what floor you happened to be on & then it usually didn't work anyway. Breakfast was ok, on the 2nd morning I arrived as the restaurant opened and nothing was ready. We did consider having dinner at this hotel but the staff were not very friendly or even much in attendance. The only good thing to say about this hotel was the view from the restaurant especially at sunrise.

I stayed at the Riad Mazar with friends in Feb and would highly recommend this Riad. Its a beautiful building and a feast for the eyes with its architecture and beautifully appointed individually decorated spacious bedrooms. There is a lift to take you up to your room so there is no lugging of bags up stairs. The breakfasts and dinners were restaurant quality... absolutely delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming and the location was excellent to go walking around the Medina. You will not regret staying at this grand beautiful Riad.

A full delight ! We had a wonderful week staying at Dar 7 Louyat. First, the staff is extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. Sufyan speaks many languages, including Chinese, which was very nice for my mother-in-law who speaks only mandarin. Our children (6 and 1.5) felt right away very confortable with Sufyan and Fatima, and could roam around in the Dar with ease and confidence, and play with them. Sufyan was super efficient in organizing transfer, excursions to the middle Atlas etc. The place is a palace ! although Bertrand, the owner, refer to it as a Bourgeois house from the XVth century. The central space where we could spend time and dine, where the children would play, is beautiful, a well of light with columns 30 feet high, with the rooms arranged all around from ground level to the top, and a little fountain in the middle. The place is wonderfully restaurés by traditional materials and artisans. A beautiful terrasse where Fatima would prépare and serve delicious marocain breakfasts with different types of breads and pancakes and crepes, cheese and butter, honey, homemade jams, coffee, squeezed orange juice, mint tea. It was so nice to stay there and enjoy the view, the sound of the fountain. The rooms were very nice, beautiful shower, a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. The wifi is good and I spent two days of work there in the most agréable setting. The location is also very good, right in the Medina, close to the very interesting place Serfarine. And the markets are everywhere around. The whole stay was a perfect delight. We had three diners there and I highly recommend the tagines and couscous etc prepared by Fatima. We’d definitely would love to return.

The B&B is located in the old city of Medina. It takes about 500 meters to walk to get off the taxi. There are people on the roadside to help drag luggage. The door of the hotel is too small. It is a bit unaccustomed to the stairs such as climbing steps. Most of them are like this. Don't use Dongtian (see picture) 👍 The hotel is very good, very clean, the service is very delicate, the room includes breakfast, the breakfast variety is just enough but the ceremony is full of 😊 The hotel lobby (Salon/Living Room) and the roof terrace are very good, the public area is perfect, the price is very high, and the living is pleasant. Recommended 👍

Riad Le Sucrier De Fes is a stunningly beautiful traditional Riad, providing a quiet peaceful oasis within the hectic Medina. It is in a good convenient location and easy to find ( important in Fes ). We missed our connecting flight, and having travelled overland ( and unable to contact the Riad ) arrived several hours late in the early hours of the morning. The lovely owner Souad who had waited up until 2am for us (and then gone to bed) greeted us at 5:45am with smiles and concern for our wellbeing. Her warm welcome and the beauty of the Riad made the stress of our journey evaporate. On the day of our departure she got up with us at 2am and ensured our taxi arrived on time. Her kindness will never be forgotten. During our stay, Souad and all the staff were very kind and helpful (but never intrusive ). Souad recommended amazing places of interest, great local restaurants and even booked a beautiful hammam for me. Breakfasts in the courtyard (at whatever time we got up ) were delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this Riad. I did not want to leave ! Thanks to you all for a wonderful stay and we hope to see you again soon Inshallah. I think I still need some practice in recognising the essential oils of Morocco !

Stayed here as part of a tour. The only nice thing I can say is the location is good and the pool area was nice, I really enjoyed the pool. The rooms are beat up and worn out. The patio door did not lock and neither did the deadbolt. There was no do not disturb sign. Nothing was very clean, towels were ancient. Big crack in the sink so it just had glue slopped into the hole! The service in the restaurant was non existent, and the tables were not clean. The food was bad. Couldn't even go with bread and butter because you can only find butter at breakfast. On the second night we took one look at dinner and headed across the street to one of the many great cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. Stay somewhere else, this is not good!

Ok so this place really is an absolute GEM ! We were somewhat in trepidation of venturing into North Africa and searched long and hard for the right lodgings - Tizwa was a sensation from the start : the smiley man at the sleek and hassle free airport and the smooth transter into the old town (the Medina) The Riad is a super comfy town house easy to reach and to find as its near to one of the Medina gates (in the Batha district ) An outstanding welcome from the TIzwa team and delicous mint tea on arrival (the wafting delicious smell of rose oil in the courtyard) before being shown to our luxuriously appointed rooms with super high quality Egyptian cotton sheets and bed linen and fluffy towels and bath robes ..we knew we were in for a fabulous stay ! Special shout out to Merieme the marvellous manageress, Nadia the lovely cook and the lovely boys Muhammed (?) and Zouhier (?) we were treated SO WELL and will miss being pampered and smiled at so much ! (they speak perfect English as well ) Breakfasts were the BEST with home made fresh bread and honey, yoghurt, omlettes, fruit salad, fresh orange juice and strong coffee we were fortified for a days of prowling the enormous souks for bargains, visiting abandoned palaces (see the Glaoui ) eating out like KINGS at Cafe Clock and The Secret Garden and watching the stunning sunset from the hill at the Marinid Tombs during the call to prayer - this place is an exotic assualt on the senses and we really do suggest you stay at the Riad Tizwa Fez to experience it at its best. (ups almost forgot to mention the fabulous roof terrace festooned with plants and flowers with views over the old city !) We will be back for sure .. SHUKRAN !! The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.
