I was assigned a relatively new room, but the smell was very obvious, so I could only open the window for ventilation. There is a kitchen, but our room type does not have a stove, only a microwave. The soundproofing of the exception room is very poor and it is very noisy in the morning, which greatly affects your rest. Average value for money

This remarkable home evokes the past era with many period features, from stained glass windows to ceiling details to a spectacular French-polished wooden staircase.This charming bungalow was built in the 1920s and proudly sits on a spacious flat land of 1120 sqm (more or less).The ground floor is very spacious and includes a separate formal dining room and large lounge as well as a large room with storage. There are also large laundry, cloakroom, greenhouse and a kitchen that pays homage to the retro design of the 1950s.All spaces are airy and bright and can be made full use of according to the specific needs of the customer. Next to it is a tandem garage with internal access to the back of the house, as well as a hobby room.Back inside, follow the wide staircase to the upstairs where there are three very spacious bedrooms, each with a delightful view.Outside there are two gardens in front and behind, the front yard has a historic tree and the large and sunny backyard provides an ideal space for your beloved children and pets to play freely.In addition, there is also a large vegetable garden and some fruit trees in the backyard, where you can experience the fun of picking fruit yourself when the season is right.It is sure to give you a deep and beautiful memory of your visit to New Zealand! I stayed here for two nights in March 2023. The hotel was located close to the venue of my meetings and more or less half way between the central city and airport. It took about 10 minutes up the motorway to the central city and about 20 minutes to the airport (early morning traffic). Across the road there is a petrol station and shop (for snacks etc). There is a Countdown supermarket and McDonalds on the other side of the motorway, just a few hundred metres from the hotel, but you would need to go by car to get across the motorway. The hotel is clean and modern and in line with the usual expectations for an Ibis hotel. The room was fairly large by Ibis standards. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. My only complaint is that, on the second night, I returned to the hotel at about 9:30pm and the carpark was full. I circled for about ten minutes waiting for a space to become available, but that did not eventuate. I asked the reception where I could park and they indicated the public parking area nearby - about a 1-minute walk away from the hotel. That cost $7.50 for 24 hours. Be aware of this if returning to the hotel at night. I then went to the bar to redeem my drinks voucher but, at 9:52pm, the bar was closing and they wouldn't serve me. I could not get my drink or even think of asking if there were any food options. I don't think that closing the bar that early is good for customer service.

Reminded by their ! I stayed here in February 2020 ( a while back but stick with me). I was there with a work thing so a busy day. I got back to the hotel at about 7pm, had a bath and when I went to let the water out of the bath the water didn't drain. Next thing the plughole in the middle of the bathroom started flooding the room with 'dirty' water. It smelt awful if you know what I mean. I put all the towels on the ground to stop it from getting into my room. I rang reception to say what was happening and that I could not stay in the room. I have to say the night manager was very helpful throughout but, it was 9pm at this point, and having to pack up after working all day and flying up from Christchurch that morning, made for a pretty uncomfortable stay. Even the new room was missing lots of items (tissues, shower gel, tea bags, etc). Please note, I am only posting this now because the cold call from a pretty insistent and overzealous Accor sales representative, reminded me to check when I stayed here. At the time I even said in the feedback email to Novotel ElIerslie that I wouldn't post to Tripadvisor. But then in checking this out, I see that they never even responded to me about what happened or what they were doing so others didn't experience what I did. Overall a disappointing experience.

Found this gem on the Great South Rd Greenlane. Just passing thru Auckland and needed a place for one night. After a long day of travel, I checked in at around 7 pm and was welcomed by the most obliging, helpful young lady at reception. Found my room on the 3 rd floor and settled in for the night. Wow, spacious, clean, fully equipped, large flatscreen tv with heaps of channels, mega comfortable bed, updated and clean bathroom, kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, full utensils, capsule coffee maker, toaster..everything at your fingertips. Extremely good value and I will certainly be back next time I am in Auckland. ( ps beware of the towaway zone outside the motel, it's hard to see when you arrive late at night in the dark. Poor Council signage. Cost me 130 bucks to get my car back.)

Booked a suite for 7 people, with a double bed and a single bed in the two rooms and a sofa bed in the other. The location of the hotel is close to the airport, there is an airport shuttle bus, there is McDonald's nearby, and it is convenient to go there when it is late.

Fantastic place, extremely clean and tidy. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It had everything you need in a kitchen to make the basics - though we just made a cheese etc platter and then had a few glasses of wine. TV in both the lounge and the bedroom. I was able to arrange early check-in, I just phoned ahead on the day to make sure it was still okay. Very quiet. Such a great location; a home away from home really. Will 100% be back!

Having to come to Auckland after the sudden death of my father we were pleased to be able to book our first night at the Quest, but disappointed we couldn’t stay for the duration of our visit. Again superb service on arrival which was again surpassed after lunch. Arriving back at the hotel , Atek the duty manager advised us that due to a cancellation and changes made by the staff we could in fact stay at the Quest for our time here. Atek your empathy, efficiency and caring made a difficult situation so much better. The Quest Hotel is indeed fortunate to have you as an employee and you will always be remembered by us for your caring and genuine understanding.
