The family suite with a kitchen (one big one small two beds + one sofa bed) was upgraded free of charge. The decoration is relatively old, and the price can't ask too much. Family room kitchen pot is less, a pan + a soup pot, if you want to open your own, you can only cook a noodle. Breakfast is very simple, bread, milk, yogurt, muffins, cakes, jams, butter, that's all. There is a supermarket opposite, it is very convenient to buy things.

Tables were not wiped between guests. Pancake machine made undercooked pancakes. Second stay, the hotel was overbooked so we did not get the requested room. Instead a top floor suite, we thought would be better but was dirty, not cleaned between guests, very noisy due to balcony not closing properly, and same problems as before.

|3.86km from city centerThe Quality Inn Kamloops is throwing with newly renovated rooms and yes, they have certainly done something too. In the bathroom, however, the shower would have to be made urgently, especially the fugs would have very needed it. The room was also somewhere on the walls that had to be renovated. The air conditioning was even a little older and thereby quite noisy. Overall, the hotel is quite bright - we had a room at the ground floor and could hear every step about us. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, which matters much. Clean was also. The pool is very nice, the whirlpool was unfortunately out of operation. Breakfast is rather a grave & go breakfast and is enough to make you have something in your stomach. But not so super for German claims. However, coffee was very good. One plus point is that you can park the car free of charge and they also have covered parking spaces, which is very good so that the car cannot be heated so. The location of the hotel is good. Directly on the highway and walking to the mall. For a night, I wouldn't stay longer.

Best thing where the hotel staff who where really helpful. Not sure however that it’s of a standard that the Rocky Mountaineer trip suggests it should be. Kamloops itself is a bit of a one horse town and we where glad it was just a one night stay.

On our arrival the guy on reception told us he was new and training so we was patient with him, he check us in and escorted us to our room. On entering the room it was hot and stuffy so he quickly put the AC on and left. We grab our bags from the car, when we went to use the toilet there was an pleasant smell, I checked, noticed something in the bin this was dirty diapers I remove the bin outside the room and then wipe every thing done. Reported this to the guy on reception who said okay but was disappointed that when we were checking out the following morning the bin with its contents were still outside the door. There was two mugs in the room but there was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room. The breakfast area in the reception was dirty looking with stain chairs and carpet, we did not venture down for breakfast. There was cigarette butts all over the court yard. The bedding was worn and had holes in them. The list is endless this place needs to be shut down and have a complete overall. More details needs to be paid to hygiene given what we just went through with Covid-19.

We left the Hospital around midnight, and we were able to secure a room especially since it was a weekend. We left the hospital with nothing. Our car was destroyed, and our clothes were cut off us in the emergency room. We walked out the hospital with donation clothes and in horrible pain. The hotel staff were incredible, due to our accident they reduced the nightly rate and helped us with providing essentials for the bathroom. The front desk staff went above and beyond to check to see how we were recovering and if we needed anything. I would like to express my sincere thank you to the Sandman Hotel Kamloops Front Desk staff, cleaning staff and Hotel management for helping us in just a horrible time.

The decor of the room I stayed in (king size bed) was peaceful and modern with great tv service. Close to a couple of restaurants and a popular coffee shop just a few minutes walk (you can also get free coffee in the lobby) away, the hotel was a great find and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it any traveler.

|4.52km from city centerThis was our allocated hotel on our overnight stop with the Rocky Mountaineer train, but I think we would have very happily chosen this for ourselves! Modern and clean, our room was vast, with a separate lounge/work area, large comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, fridge, microwave and coffee make (but no kettle) and good storage for a few days if you needed it. The bathroom was large, with a shallow Bath under the very good shower (only overhead at about a 45 degree angle, but excellent pressure and temperature made it easy to use anyway). The provided toiletries were mostly in fixed refillable bottles on the wall - great to see less plastic waste. Lots of towels provided! There was also a complimentary breakfast, the first we had seen during our Canada trip, although we were unable to use it due to eating on the train!

You can park for free, pay attention to the area, the front desk will register the license plate number, and put a strip on the dashboard. The traffic is full. The staff are invariably helpful and friendly and the hotels are generally comfortable. But they are not especially suitable if you are working. There was a desk in Room 207 in Kamloops but not a desk chair - the chair was sort of like a modest dining room chair. You couldn't adjust anything on the chair and because it was not on wheels it was difficult to move around on the carpet. The lighting is too dim, partly because 2 lamps in the room didn't work. I couldn't use the one on the desk itself because I had to use the outlet for my laptop. And note - I had to crawl under the desk to plug my laptop in. There is track lighting on the ceiling aimed at the desk surface but it does not cast enough light. Although check-in is posted as 4 I was not able to get into my room until almost 5. The next morning - no caf coffee only decaf. That was rectified on my second morning.

Price is very reasonable. The bathroom fan is very weak. The Motel’s restaurant, the Hideout Cafe, only opens at 8:00 am which I think is a bit late for travellers. If bathroom fan and restaurant open hours can improve, this is overall a very good motel.

We immediately contacted Ctrip customer service. The customer service was very serious and responsible, and immediately helped me understand the reason. We waited a long time to help us to book this hotel of the same class. The room difference was borne by Ctrip. We completed the check-in at BEST WESTERN PLUS within 5 minutes. Although there are some twists and turns, Ctrip still has a quick response, fast processing and Ctrip is reliable.
Let's talk about this hotel. The facilities are good, two large beds, the room is large, about 30 square meters, and there is a sofa bed, a coffee table, desk, swivel chair, high cabinet, microwave, refrigerator and so on. There are shampoos, conditioners and shower gels. Like other foreign hotels, please bring your own toothbrush, toothbrush and slippers.
On the first floor of the hotel there is a breakfast room, a standard buffet Western breakfast, bread, eggs, quiche, yogurt, bacon, drinks, etc. All guests have meals.
The service staff was polite and friendly.
There are parking lots in front of and behind the hotel, free parking. Turn right out of the hotel, cross the intersection, and opposite is Canada Superstore, which has everything in it and is very convenient. Next to the supermarket is WENDY, burger fries, and it tastes great.
The hotel is very close to TRU, less than 10 minutes walk, it is the first choice for our parents who send their children to school. Will live here again.

|3.41km from city centerThis was our first stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about the age and condition of the hotel. It is reasonably new and has a large airy lobby with multiple sitting areas (which was empty when we were there). We stayed at the tail-end (we hope) of the pandemic for a chance to try out this hotel when it wasn't too busy or too expensive. There are two Holiday Inns in Kamloops, so watch the address. This is the one on the North Shore (across the Thompson River from downtown). There is another that is close to Hwy 1 & Hwy 5 on the way into town from Vancouver. There is a White Spot Restaurant on site where we ate dinner & breakfast. I will review it separately, but the food was excellent, prices were mid-range to a bit expensive (breakfast $15-$20, dinner $15-$30). Breakfast is NOT included with your room cost at this hotel. Both hotel and restaurant followed all COVID protocols in place at the time, even having sanitized pens available for check-in. The hotel and room were very clean. We were comfortable & and slept well. The only glitch was that on check-in, we were told that the accessible room we had reserved wasn't available. They had reassigned us to a regular room, thinking that we didn't really need the accessible room. When I asked, the cheaper rate of ”any room available when you check in” was granted, rather than the more expensive rate we had booked online to be able to choose a specific room. Another time, as well as booking online, I will phone the hotel to confirm that the room type we have booked is available. We found out that this hotel has only one accessible room, so don't expect to stay in it at a busy time unless you book well ahead. We were able to tour this room before we left town and found that it would meet our needs in the future. It has a very nice roll-in shower. Light switches are also lower than usual, but the rest of the room was very similar to the regular room with one king-sized bed that we were assigned. If it wasn't for the check-in glitch, I would give this hotel a rating of 5. We will likely stay again and would recommend it to visitors to Kamloops, especially if you want to be on the North Shore. It would be a very nice option not too far from the airport, if that is important to you.

The staff were friendly and efficient, everything went smoothly starting with our checkin, the front desk agent made the gesture to congratulate us on our engagement. The pool area was spotless and well maintained. We were also impressed with the food at Cordo restaurant, coming from Vancouver we have no shortage of great restaurants, and I would say that cordo is very on par with the dining experience in Vancouver. The menu selection was fantastic and cocktails were also very thoughtful. Make sure to check out stills distillery while staying at the hotel for some tapas and cool drinks. Thanks Delta Kamloops, we will be back!

|1.76km from city centerWe made a reservation for a room with a view. We checked in to the room and there were fans. The AC didn't work. A toothbrush was left on the top of the wardrobe cupboard. Not ours. So much for cleaning standards during COVID. The desk clerk stated there was nothing she could do as there were no other rooms available. A pitcher was available under the toilet. That was to be used to fill up the toilet with water so it would flush as it was broken. The washroom floor was flooded in the middle of the night. Forty some degree weather. Changed rooms the next morning. Noticed that the plate for the light switch in the bathroom was hot to the touch. Fire hazard. About 9:30 that night the power in the room went off. Phoned the emergency number as there is a desk clerk only until 9:00 at night. The person said that she would reset the power in our room. Couldn't be reset for some reason. She gave us another room. Oh only the third room for a five night stay. Moved our luggage at 10:30 at night. It appears that the hotel had a fire before. The pool has not worked in over three years. The ice machine didn't work. Seems like the other part of the hotel where they moved us was “temporary housing” weekly or monthly. Beer drinking, drugs, and partying until early in the morning. Don't let the price fool you. You get what you pay for. Would you stay here? Will never ever go to the Hospitality Inn again! Good luck if you do. May your stay be a lot better than ours was.
