Liu Men Melaka is a wonderful boutique hotel. The staffs are lovely and welcoming. The rooms are big and comfortable, the amenities are of good quality. There is a private carpark behind the hotel so there is no need to worry about parking. Our room includes breakfast, we were initially skeptical of the breakfast and thought of going out to eat local food instead. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. There was variety in the 2 days we ate there, nasi lemak, prawn noodles, roti prata, porridge etc. The coffee was very good too. The bed and blanket are super comfortable and the rooms are really quiet making us sleep like a baby at the end of the day. we will definitely come back to this gem in Malacca.

Charming hotel with a beautifully-designed Peranakan interior - you may even want to spend some time in the hotel just to appreciate the intricate and tasteful in-house decoration. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable, equipped with quality fittings, comfortable bed and pillows and all the amenities you need. Strategically located within close proximity to various places of interest, especially Jonker Street which is just a short walk away. They provide free parking albeit limited and in a very tight alley (not very suitable for big cars), but there is a public parking directly opposite the hotel's designated parking alley which is a very good alternative considering how challenging it is to find a parking spot in Malacca. Reception staff were helpful and courteous too. The only slight downside was the underwhelming breakfast - I would suggest foregoing the hotel's breakfast and instead enjoy a hearty local meal outside. Overall an excellent experience - I would not hesitate to come back.

Excellent location on Harmony street. The staff are so helpful and caring. Even if the mosque is right in front, you can hardly hear the players. Breakfast is more than basic continental - toast, eggs and Chinese noodles. Tea/Coffee and orange juice available all day. The shower has great water pressure. We had terrible experience in another hotel in Melaka, so Da Som Inn made our stay in Melaka so much better.

The hotel service is almost undecided. The service is very good and the shuttle will also recommend places to play. It is too close to Jichang Street. To be honest, I have stayed in Malay for more than ten days. My favorite is Malacca. I like its life. Love its scenery

Pros- excellent customer service and awesome location. It’s right at the doorstep of Jonker Street thoroughfare! Almost everything - food, street shopping, historical sites are within walking distance. There’s a night market right in front on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays Yet there’s a secure car park behind. That suited us perfectly. The rooms & bathrooms are clean . There’s a rain shower and bathtub in bathroom. Rooms are clean with clean & comfortable linens. High ceiling rooms. The reception hall and little courtyard was airy & cooling. As we were there from Sunday to Monday , we were allowed late checkout :) Cons- stairs & steps. As this is a renovated boutique hotel in an old shophouse building, the stairs were narrow & no lifts. For those with no mobility issues, it’s perfectly okay. Staff were ready & helpful with luggages. In the rooms we stayed, there are steps either at room door entrance & bathroom entrance . It’s okay . Just be mindful.

The location is very good, just at Jonker walk, shopping and eating are all downstairs, but the first time I checked in, the elevator broke down, and I had to carry my suitcase to the third floor, unfortunately 😔😔 The room was very small and narrow Although the new owner took over, the hotel facilities are very old. There is an open parking lot at the back, but if you want to stay overnight, you need to pay RM20, but you can enter and exit the parking lot at will.

I booked 2 standard rooms. We have a wonderful and pleasant stayed at Hotel Puri, Melaka. The surrounding is so beautiful and cozy. The hotel is nearby Jonker Streest and within walking distance to Dutch Square, A Farmosa and Melaka River Walk. All the staff are friendly and always prepare to help. The breakfast not many variety but is good enough. All 4 of us are vegetarian and the cook is so helpful that he fried 2 plates of mee hoon for us without meat, garlic and onion. If I ever go back to Melaka for holidays, Hotel Puri is sure my first choice.

The owner Steven is so kind. After placing the order, the boss contacted us in advance and picked up and dropped off at the station on time. I also thoughtfully prepared extra mattresses for the children! It is the durian season, Steven also drove us to the durian garden to buy durians, which are fresh and cheap! The mosque on the sea was also where Steven drove us to. The room is very clean, the location is super good, it is 6 or 7 minutes walk from Jonker Street, and away from the busy city, there are so many delicious foods around! Friends who do not have a group tour or self-guided tours recommend staying at his house!

For a budget hotel, you couldn’t ask for more. Good location, new bustling area, near the city & for the price, what more could you expect? The room was small, shower pressure weak but the bed was very comfortable indeed. No complaints from me. Food, whether big restaurants, hawker centres or smaller joints could be found all around & within walking distance.

Decent place outside the city center. Very insta worthy. You can grab or drive to the Casa del Rio Hotel just 10mins away. There is a huge parking lot at Rm6 per entry. Jonker is just next door. That will save you alot of time. Room is OK and basic toiletries are provided but the thing that was unacceptable is the toilet. It has mold all over in between those wall tiles where you shower. It should be easy to clean so it's quite obvious it was not scrubbed. Toilet bowl is not clean too. I dreaded going to toilet every time. Our room was on the ground floor and it gets noisy if you have group of people or children hangs out at the common area. On our second night, we have kids screaming until 11pm. So perhaps you can ask for 1st or 2nd floor rooms instead. Just be mindful that as the place is quite popular amongst youngster, you can hardly find parking spaces near the hotel. Perhaps the hotel and reserve a few spots just for the ones staying there? Overall, it's an OK place to stay for a night or two as it is close to city center, affordable and it has alot of insta worthy decoration. I do hope the management takes up the initiatives to clean up the toilets as I do think it's not something hard to do which doesn't involve high cost as I do see recurring reviews on this matter.

We stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. Considering what we had seen the previous evening we knew the hotel could do seriously good food, and the previous reviews of the good food back this up. After a few interactions with the resturant wai

This hotel is in the Chinese area, there are many snack bars nearby, and there is a shopping mall opposite. It is more than one kilometer from the Dutch Red House, and it is next to the Malacca River. There are stains on both the pillow and the pillow. If the owner can change a new bed sheet, I think the customer's evaluation will be better. Before I booked, I saw that there are stains on the review bed. I don't think I will win the prize.

They prepared room slippers too which is very good for me as I can't never walk barefoot in any hotels room. They prepared mini breakfast too. Cereal, bread and eggs with hot tea or coffees. Staffs are wonderful too. The only con it's because it's directly located at Jonker Street, it was quite noisy with all the loud noises from outside. Overall, cute and clean hotel.

It is 10-storeys high. The room is 21m2 so its not that big. Floor is “wood look” laminate, bathroom a tad small. It has no restaurant so no room dining and no breakfast. But there are a few eating spots within walking distance. Room is clean, with partial view of the ships and tankers plying the Malacca Straits. And you have the city street view but not those touristy ones. Double glazing is rarely heard of in Malaysian hotels (even the close to the streets as this one) so expect the occasional formula one wannabes to disturb your peace. In all it passes all the requirements of a 3* (i would rate it 3.5*). “Stayable” though there is nothing worthy of mention.

This is a funny hotel, there is a sign show that cannot smoking in room but that is full of smoking smell when I enter my room ,for 4 nights the smell still strong. They didn't change bed sheet at all as I found a bits of food (some vegetables with sauce) on the bedsheets that cover by the bed runner. I request to change to new room but they just allow to change bedsheets for, me. OK it's fine, the hot water in bathroom will auto turn to cold water after shower for 5 mins and have to wait for 10 mins for the hot water back. I have to take half an hour just for shower. The hair dryer was the same, it cannot be function after use just for 1 min!!!! The receptionist told me that it will auto turn off when it is too hot, halo? I stay a lot of hotel but I never get a hair dryer that will auto turn off after 1 min!!!! If 10mins still acceptable !!! Won't visit this hotel again, ady get my very unforgettable experience!

This is my second time staying at Rucksack Caratel and was there for 6 days 5 nights. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. You will also bump into a lovely ginger cat every morning! These were what made the stay enjoyable. What needs to be improved is the WiFi. It is only good enough for surfing and sending messages but not for uploading photos. On the 5th day onwards, my handphone could not capture the WiFi signals at all and I had to rely on my mobile network. So please buy a Malaysia SIM card just in case. Despite that, I would still recommend friends to stay here. First time customers need to be aware that breakfast is not provided and a RM100 is collected as a returnable deposit to ensure that you don't damage the room's facilities.

Stayed here for a 2D 1N weekend getaway to Melaka and thought that the hotel was pretty decent. Location of the hotel is extremely convenient as it is located near to most of the tourist attractions here in Melaka such as Jonker Street, Stadthuys, St. Paul's Hill & Church (Bukit St. Paul), etc. The price was also pretty reasonable as well. The only down side to this hotel would be the breakfast. The selection of food is quite limited and doesn't offer much at all. But other than that, nothing much to complaint about.

I booked a 3 bedroom apartment on 21/June/2019 for 2 nights. I'm quite disappointed with the unit (1052) that had assigned to me. This unit was so much rundown compared to my last visit (Dec 2017). Management should look into the maintenance issue, the wall paper was tear off at the living hall and some of the bedroom, window in the toilet also damage. Wifi will disconnect most of the time. Cleanliness not so good too. Beside the apartment, the most disappointed me was the payment mode. Before my trip, i wrote an email to Jetty suite to confirm my payment, their staff replied me saying that they had received my payment and payment confirm completed (reason for me to double check with them is because I had experience with Jetty suite that system sent notice saying payment done but their staff still collect money from me during my check-in), so base on their email that my payment had done i did not prepare any extra cash but sad to say that things happened again this time.. the worst thing was upon check-in the staff informed me saying payment done so i no need to do any payment, but during my last day of stay early morning 9am i received a call from their office saying they check through their system and found out that they have not received my payment and request me to make payment upon my check-out. How can such thing happen??? And now i have to check with my bank to make sure there won't be any double charge for my booking. Will give a double thoughts in future for my booking on this apartments.

The room was large and the bathroom was so big that we were shocked by the one we had just arrived from Singapore. The hotel is particularly clean and distinctive, with traditional furnishings and Nanyang style. Breakfast variety and service attitude are good. The hotel is located in an alley parallel to Jonker Street, at the end of Jonker Street, turn left and then turn right to the archway at the end of Jonker Street. During the Spring Festival, the chicken farm street is too blocked, and there are many people with more roads and narrower taxis. At the peak, the grave taxi is located at the entrance of a church at the beginning of Tami near the hotel.

      Jonker
The hotel manager is Chinese and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese. Although Mandarin, Cantonese and English are mixed in one sentence, I have become accustomed to this way of communication in Macau. I am ok. The manager said that it is strange that Ctrip orders rarely, but agoda or other platforms. More often, it is estimated that Ctrip did not show that there are Chinese services? This hotel is good, just next door to the Red House, a few hundred meters away from Jonker Street, the hotel is just a river. The manager is very enthusiastic, and also helped to book the bus ticket from Malacca to the airport. FB also recommends delicious food. The hotel has been newly renovated for a few months and has a USB plug for charging. Okay, let’s also mention the shortcomings. It is estimated that the toilet was not done well when the dry and wet areas were separated and decorated. It is estimated that you have to accommodate when you take a bath. Overall, I like it very much. I will continue to book this place next time I come to Malacca.
