Overall a very disappointing experinece. Not the Manor House we were expecting. There are rooms in the origianl Manor House but these are the very expensive ones. For what we paid for the room we were expecting on of these but were accommodated in a room a ten minutes walk from reception. After waiting 25 minutes to check in while the receptionist slowly dealt with other customers we were eventaully allocated our room. we were given a map to find the room. We should have taken this a bad sign. After wandering round for what seemed like forever trying to follow the map we eventaully found our room, not before we had doubled back down long endless corridoors that made no sense. Multiple doors and stairs up and down before we eventually found the room. The room was clean an pleasant, though the bathroom left a lot to be desired. A small shallow sink that sprayed water all over the floor. The shower head was what I would consider to be a rinsing head, no water pressure - a very poor showering experience. Dinner was not in the main restaurant, apparently the main restaurant is only used for lunches and breakfast. We were served in Harry's Bar. The menu was very limited, what I would expect for a bar menu and not a restaurant. Poorly staffed, 1 person working behind the bar and also serving food. 45 minutes before an order was taken despite being assured three times that someone was coming to take our order. A large party of 20 very noisy people dominated the room, shouting loudly. A table in the corner was complaining about the quality of their food. We didn't enjoy dinner at all. Breakfast next morning was in the main restaurant. No decent coffee or tea. A machine with hot water and tea bags and coffee pouches, to be fair I've had better coffee at McDonalds. Over all a very negaite experience. I certainly wouldn't stay there again. There was no use complaining to the staff their response was, 'I'm doing my best, I just work here'. Not what you want to hear when you're not happy with the service you're getting.

I booked this hotel as part of a package which included afternoon tea and tickets to Bletchley Park. This was meant to be a special treat for my husband's 60th birthday. I was impressed by the photo of the Deluxe Double room on their website. A couple of days before we went I gave my husband all the info, including the photo of the room which I was expecting. We set off on our almost 3 hour journey, excited for a luxury break. We arrived a little early for check in so decided to have our afternoon tea whilst waiting. The tea was lovely, very filling and the Laura Ashley tearoom was as beautiful as the pictures on their website. We checked in at the beautiful reception area, walked through the lounge area, saw the bar and restaurant on our way to our room, again beautifully presented, everything we expected from a luxury 4 star hotel. Sadly, that's where it stopped. We were first shown to room 104, our deluxe double. It was disgusting. Filthy carpet, thick black dust in front of the furniture, what appeared to be a large orange/yellow vomit stain on the carpet, stained and ripped soft furnishings. The bathroom was no better, broken toilet flush, rusty shower fittings, rusty light fitting, split and peeling woodwork and paint peeling off the walls. The deluxe double room was not what was shown on the website. We immediately asked to be moved. We were moved to the room next door. Again, this room was as filthy as the other, again cracked woodwork, peeling paint round the sink, a used cottonbud on the floor by the bin, the two 'leather' chairs that had fabric that was cracked and missng on the seats and arms and was only fit for the tip. The window seat waa stained and ripped and surfaces and carpet again thick with dust, and still didnt look like the room I booked. At this point I rang the agent we booked through. They spoke to someone at the hotel as the General Manager - Andrew - wasnt in. The staff member then came and said they were moving us again, to a ”Premier deluxe room” a free upgrade apparently and also offered us a free drink in the bar, which we declined. Hallelujah!! Spoke too soon. The premier bit presumably applied to the nespresso machine, the trouser press, and the canopy thing over the bed which wasnt present in the other rooms. However, on first look it did appear to be more acceptable and the bathroom was at least clean. The bed area was not great, the curtain/canopy thing over the bed was thick with dust, the hospitality tray was also thick with dust, the nesspresso machine was unusable due to its covering of thick dust. It was, sadly, tired and dirty and baring no resemblance to what we booked. The room wasnt serviced at all during our 2 night stay. By this time it was 6pm, we'd had a long journey and there was no other choice but to accept the room. The following day we spent at Bletchley Park which was amazing. We left as early as possible the following morning. Now here's the interesting bit - on checkout I asked, whe

The type of breakfast is relatively small, very simple, but it can also be full, but also fruits, drinks, bread crumbs. The discount village is not too far away, and it takes 20 minutes to walk normally. The surrounding environment may be a bit desolate because of the location. Because I arrived after 10.00 in the evening, I felt a bit desolate along the way. The bathroom facilities are a bit rudimentary, a bit small, others are good, there are only two empty seats, one on the bed, one out, a little inconvenient. The service attitude is good. When we left, we gave us the vip card of the discount village. We went to the service center in the province.

Took the opportunity to stay here whilst doing a couple of Silverstone Drive experiences. Also took the option to take a room with a trackside balcony, glad I did this as the view onto Hamilton straight is iconic and made for good viewing of like minded people doing similar drive experiences, watching Astons, Ferraris and McLarens roaring past ahead of getting my chance to do the same added to the whole experience of my stay. The Hotel is brand new so is clean, well appointed and has that new feel. The bar and restaurant are up to standard but be aware that theses are the only facilities in close proximity so if you desire to go anywhere else it would be a long walk or a short drive to one of the nearby villages. It is a Hilton so don't expect it to be cheap, but even by Hilton standards it does seem a little expensive. However, overall it was a nice stay and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and I imagine it would be an ideal base during a race/event weekend, although don't expect to get in during F1 weekends as I was told the Hotel is basically repurposed during that week for corporate use. All in all a nice stay that added to my Silverstone experience.
