The single room is much larger than the room. The toilet is much brighter and more refined. It meets the needs of single living. |0.5km from city centerWe returned to the hotel after a long break due to covid. The hotel was excellent in changing our reservations due to the continued covid and travel restrictions. We paid a bit extra for a deluxe room with sea view and although the hotel is not cheap, it is right on the seafront and only a few minutes walk to the bars, restaurants, city centre etc. There is even a bus stop close to the hotel if you want to travel from the airport without getting a taxi. A warm welcome from the staff, a clean and modern room with a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet is very good. We did not take dinner but walked to a pedestrian area with lots of eateries. The hotel restaurant looks good and was usually busy, but we did not see much on the menu to attract us. Perhaps next time. Overall excellent but we do have a couple of tiny tiny comments. ASometinmes the tea/coffees were not topped up in the room. There are not enough hangers in the wardrobe and no hooks on the backs of any doors so you could hang coats, robes etc. None of these items spoit the holiday break and we will go again.

Great advocate for his city and his recommendations are excellent! We were delayed on arrival to Nice and we were going to miss our reservation that we made, I contacted Fabio who rearranged our reservation for us and then booked us in somewhere new and close to the Hotel that evening, the restaurant he chose for us was excellent and a must do! Thanks for this Fabio! - the service of all the staff - everyone is just so helpful, kind and friendly - croissants on the door handle every morning, what’s not to love about this?! - hotel room is lovely and clean and perfect what we wanted. - it’s safe! Plus, the front door is always locked which you get the code for, so it feels super safe at all times. You must be mad if you don’t book this hotel!

|1.04km from city centerMy wife and I stayed for one week at Hotel Byakko. It is conveniently placed for public transport and in good walking distance of the shops and Old Town. The staff are all very friendly, polite and efficient and the amenities and breakfast good. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the shower good too. If anything, the hotel undersells itself, by not mentioning some of its amenities, including free afternoon tea, a safe in the room, shower soap etc in the bathroom and so on. We would highly recommend Hotel Byakko and would certainly stay there again if we are back in NIce. Thank you to all the hotel's staff for an enjoyable stay.

|1.85km from city centerI stayed in this hotel last week with my 81 year-old mother. I liked the location of the hotel and the initial impressions was quite favourable. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. Having booked a twin room, we ended up with a double bed. After enquiring wether this could be changed I was promised another room which I looked at but which also had a double bed. I then decided to stay in the original room because the receptionist did not know which rooms were made up as double or twin. She then promised to send someone the following day at a precise time to change the bed. The morning come and went. Nothing happened. I then contacted reception again, which did not know about anything. The day went by and finally in the late afternoon 2 grumpy women turned up, clearly causing them more work, and changed the bedding. The kitchen is modern and has a lot fo good features, but cheap and uncoordinated cutlery, no knives to cut anything decent. The 2 glasses were so small you could almost call it a shoot glass. Just a shame to have a fully functioning kitchen without much equipment to use. The bathroom is small and functional, but the main issue here is the height of the bath tub. How can anyone of a smaller statue even get in??? Not much room to put your toiletries either. Storage seems to be a general problem in the room as well since there is a wardrobe for hanging clothes but not really any storage space for folded clothes in easy reach. The carpet is dirty. There are no reading lights next to the bed and no lights close enough to the table. It was a very dim affair eating your dinner. There was a sign saying you cannot use the balcony for sitting outside or hanging things up. Why even have a balcony I wonder?? What makes me really negative is, that the hotel randomly charged my credit card which is just discovered today. Let´s see when I will get my refund. I am very disappointed with the lack of care and interest of the place.

|5.41km from city centerExcellent stay at the Sheraton Nice Airport, in France Côte d'Azur, for a short relaxing holiday under the sun. This hotel is very modern, built in glass and overlooking the airport with its runways. Location is good because you can take the bus or the tramway to every spot of the city of Nice, or catch the train from St. Augustin railway station, just 5 min walking, to other villages of the Côte. Check in experience was very smooth and professional, they upgraded my room to the Club Level as per Marriott Bonvoy Titanium membership, along with breakfast and Lounge access. The room itself was very nice and large, with big windows facing the tram route but very very quiet, no noise during the night. There were a huge TV and a comfortable double bed, kettle and coffee machine. Very good restautant for breakfast and a la carte dinner, not a huge selection but tasty dishes and very nice personnell, trés sympa! On the top floor there is a beautiful terrace (with swimming pool during the season) overlooking the airport and the sea behind it, where you can suntan. On the other hand, Club Lounge service and offerings could be improved to be up to Marriott standards in Europe. A big plause to the young and professional staff!

At the hotel, I would expect a change of used towels, add toilet paper and take out the rubbish which did not happen. The hangers were missing. The hotel is a bit run-down. I would not recommend breakfast, it is very poor compared to previous years. The hotel is not entirely for romance but enough for an overnight stay.

Our room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the Promenade des Anglais that was just big enough for a bistro table and two chairs. The hotel had an old world charm about it that was particularly enjoyable but the rooms, the amenities, etc. were all modern and comfortable. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. The breakfasts we had were very good as was the dinner in Le Duc Restaurant that we had on our first evening. We were a bit jet lagged and hungry and ordered their three course meal. The caesar salads we had for the first course were huge (a meal in themselves!) and had nicely done chicken on top. But the desserts we had were totally fantastic: a strawberry charlotte and an amazing fresh pineapple and lemon sorbet. Each evening before dinner we enjoyed a cocktail and an appetizer in The W Bar's glassed in area outside. The Westminster's location is excellent -- just across the street from the Promenade des Anglais and a short walk to the old town and to Castle Hill. There's no question that if in Nice again we would very happily stay here.

Good location with old town area five minute walk through park and plazas- a dozen glorious churches, great French linen and fabric store L’Epingle a Linge here. Many chic clothing stores nearby- not just Gucci etc, but small, local with exciting window displays. Pretty parks and gardens nearby. Hotel rooms have very large decks with comfortable teak furniture and great views even from rooms on side. Pick up fabulous bread, sandwiches, pastries and desserts from Armand patisserie that is two blocks away for lunch on your deck. This is a good alternative to 20 Euro/person poor lunches in area. Almost all restaurants in the area are touristy so have poor food and are expensive, but there are half a dozen Michelin restaurants within a ten minute walk that are affordable unlike Paris at 200 Euros. (Peixes, Chez Davia, Le Canailes, Fine Gueule...) This is a busy hotel that many tour companies use so there were busses constantly unloading people for the four days we were there. The front desk staff are always busy checking in guests and at check in made no eye contact and just said ”passports”, passed a paper to us to sign then said the room number. When we asked for advice twice (should we take a taxi or bus to the train station and would Monaco or Cannes be better for a day trip) the staff were dismissive and not interested in providing advice. People we talked to sitting around the bar at the end of the day said they could not get recommendations for restaurants from front desk staff. On busy oceanfront promenade with many cars but rooms are soundproofed well.

Two downsides; For a Crowne Plaza the gym is small and lacks free weights. But all equipment is new One thing I really don’t get is there is no English TV offering. Most hotels of this type would offer the normal BBC, SKY and CNN offering as a minimum. While not a massive issue, it is quite annoying.

|0.47km from city centerWe stayed here for 5 nights as part of a birthday celebration. We've always wanted to visit Nice and it was important to us to chose the right hotel. This gem exceeded both of our expectations. The location was perfect with its beautiful garden, which seems very unique to any of the other hotels in Nice. What we loved was that it's situated on a quite street far enough away from the buzz of the more touristic areas and yet a close enough walk to everything you need and want to see. A 4 min walk to the tram stop, 10 mins to the train station, 5 mins to the sea front, 15 mins to the old town. The weather was thankfully very warm during our stay which meant we could enjoy our balcony terrace all the more. The complimentary treats on arrival were a lovely touch. The warm and friendly staff are what really makes the experience special so huge credit to the lovely general manager and his wonderful team for helping to make our stay so memorable. Our stylish room was really nice and clean with large comfortable bed and a shower that I didn't want to get out of. The water pressure was fantastic like a good shoulder massage. We stayed in the junior suite which meant we could relax after a long day on the sofa with a cup of tea and complimentary brownie available at reception. The downstairs reception areas were lovely spaces to sit and relax too. Breakfast was absolutely spot on and each morning, the choices plentiful and of high quality. We took full advantage of what was on offer and it kept is going for our daily excursions. It was also good to have the choice to eat outside in the garden at breakfast given the warm sunny weather. Again all the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful so thank you very much. We would happily return here and highly recommend this hotel.

|0.54km from city centerFabulous hotel. My daughter and I spent 5 days in Nice and stayed at this hotel. I honestly cannot fault it. The staff were lovely, reception through to restaurant. We had a fault in our room on the 3rd night, it was addressed very quickly and we were upgraded to a beautiful room. It’s proximity to the main town ( Prom des Anglais) and Nice Ville train station was approximately 5/10 mins (in opposite directions). The pool was lovely and tranquil (and so cold, which in that heat you need). It really was faultless. We will definitely be back next year.

This mistake was completely my fault, but the hotel was very helpful and nice and we solved it in the end. When we arrived we were so fortunate to have been upgraded, despite the hassle I brought to the hotel, with the payment error. The room was amazing, and clean, and when we checked out we received a little parting gift of lavender in a pouch. The hotel is very centrally located, and I would definitely visit again! Thank you for a great stay in beautiful Nice.

Disadvantages: 1. It’s very tired to go upstairs with luggage. 2. There is no bottled water provided. You need to go out and buy it yourself. If you don’t mind drinking tap water, please ignore. 3. Order to pay at the store. When you check out, you swipe your credit card and then Ctrip said that my no show had deducted my security deposit, and it was wrong to ask Ctrip to verify it before returning it to me. There is a bnb recommended by lp on the first floor of the same address. The facade looks better than this one. There is a camera at the door. Friends in need can search by themselves.

|1.03km from city centerWe arrived via taxi after a flight down from Paris. The hotel was fully booked between Cannes film festival and People going to see the Monica Grand Prix. Our room was not ready, but we were told we could go to the rooftop for lunch. We did that and proceeded to be ignored by the rooftop staff. We finally corralled someone who said they stopped serving food at 2:30, so we left the hotel to find something else. Later when our room was ready we told the front desk about it and it was news to them. Then when we decided to go back for dinner on the roof, we were told that dinner did not start until 7:00, so they called up and made us reservations. When we arrived at 7:00 the place was packed and the only tables had no view. We asked and were told that people come for drinks starting at 6:00 and just keep their tables when dinner starts. Not ideal. These are very tiny, tight rooms. Typical Europe size. They were quiet rooms. Our air conditioning didn’t work in the room. They offered a fan which helped, but as it got hotter we asked a second time to change rooms and they complied. They did reduce our room rate and comped a meal for us. The staff was very nice and apologetic for the AC issues.

It is close to the train station, but the surrounding environment is not Too good, there is a distance to the old town (about 20 minutes walk) and the seaside (walking for more than half an hour). They then said it was and gave us a smaller room than we had booked and paid for. When we said so they told us ”Americans have a different idea of what king-sized means”. An hour later they called and agreed we had indeed booked a bigger room and offered to move us to one with a king bed. The man from reception then took us to said room without offering to help us with our luggage. Just stood and watched us drag our bags across the carpeted corridors ...All I can say is it was 3 star service and quality at VERY high prices. The next morning we moved to an absolutely world class hotel which was ten times nicer and less expensive. Over-priced, outdated and obnoxious staff.

They moved me to another room and took steps to protect me from it. I have asthma, and it affects my breathing and makes my ears pop. Hotels have a hard time enforcing it, but they really need to find ways because the problem has become increasingly worse in the last few years. The room had many windows and was very comfortable. The shower, like most showers in Europe had some problems. The showerhead kept falling and they didn't fix it properly, but you definitely have more space in their showers than most European showers since this is also a bath.

We were very impressed with the reception we received by the woman at the front desk, and everyone has been incredibly nice to us. This is a big surprise as people have generally been very rude to us during this trip so far. We love the Matisse art on the walls of the staircase and the room is decorated beautifully. Unfortunately after settling into the room, we realized the air conditioner was not operational and the water pressure in the shower was so low that we couldn’t have proper showers. We tried to get past these issues but the room became way too hot overnight and we were unable to get a good sleep. The next morning we received an email from the hotel asking how our stay was going. I mentioned these issues and they called our room within 15 minutes and advised us they would upgrade us in the next hour to a superior room. This was a much better resolution than we expected and we are incredibly pleased. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable stay in Nice, and to anyone who is hoping to be treated as a paying customer should be treated (unfortunately not a luxury you will find throughout most of France). The rooms also have fridges, which is not something we’ve seen yet during our trip. This is really helpful as we prefer to bring groceries back to our room instead of significantly overpaying at restaurants. The deal they have with the parking lot nearby is great as well, since every place we’ve been thus far has completely shaken us down for parking. The views of the cathedral next door are beautiful too. Beds and pillows are comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Highly recommended!

|1.88km from city centerTHE ROOM: spacious and had not only a good bed but room enough to walk around and open a suitcase. There was a desk area by the window and a small sitting area with a bench by the head of the bed. The room was modern and clean and smelled lovely. It was theoretically quiet as it was facing towards the back of the building but the windows have to remain shut as some guests might come and smoke and chat on the terrace (it admittedly happened only once and until someone shouted at them to go to their room). The main problem was some rather loud and repetitive structural sound, was loud enough to wake me. At first I thought that the upstair neighbours were moving a piece of furniture every 2 minutes but it made little sense. I concluded that it was one of the elevators that had some sort of issue and emitted the sound of a dying whale from early in the morning until late into the night. THE STAFF: the staff was friendly and helpful. However, be aware that you will be charged 10 euros to get into your room if you arrive at the hotel before 15:00 and your room is ready. You will be charged 5 euros to leave a suitcase in storage after 10:00 on the day of your departure. You also have to book and pay for a maid to come and change your towels and empty your bin. The hotel was pleasant and affordable but I have never had to pay for these kind of services in any hotel I have stayed at.

|2.16km from city centerThe hotel is located one block away from the beach and right in front of a Tramway station, which is very good, since you probably will have to take the tramway (or walk around 20-30 min) to get into the restaurants and the old town. This tramway line is the one that gets into the airport and on the turistical points.
Trip offered a category of room that, according to the hotel staff, does not exist on the hotel (triple bed). I was traveling with a friend and we didn't want to share the same bed.
First, staff didn't want to change our room saying they were complete. After insisting, they found another room with 2 beds, but the AC didn't work fine on this new room.
After the check-in, the staff member forgot to give my passport back. When I asked for it, he said that ”he wanted to keep seeing my picture because I was very pretty” 🙄. Unecessary, embarassing and not funny at all.
Rooms are comfortable enough and correct for a budget hotel.

|0.41km from city centerA small, pleasant hotel a few meters from the sea promenade. There are restaurants in the vicinity and 2 supermarkets opposite the hotel. Distance from the railway station 15 minutes on foot, from the tram from the airport 8 minutes on foot.
The hotel rooms are smaller, which is standard in France. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful, on the last day we got breakfast at 6:00 a.m., despite the fact that it was officially only from 7:30 a.m. The hotel provides luggage storage for early arrival or late departure. We got a free upgrade to a superior room facing the courtyard. The room is new, clean, comfortable. The bathroom is also small but clean and well equipped. Cleaning and towel change was done every day and the cleaning was detailed. The breakfast was excellent (yogurts, cereals, ham, cheese, sausages, scrambled eggs, croissants, cakes, fruit, fruit puree, jams,...), the weak link was the coffee. The drip coffee in a thermos was weak, the coffee from the machine (cappuccino, latte, cocoa) was made of powder. At the bar, they have an espresso machine, with such a small number of guests, the bartender would surely manage to make everyone a normal high-quality espresso, and the guests would appreciate it.
