|0.8km from city centerStayed 5 nights and found the reception very helpful with any directions we needed and we were reccomended an amazing restaurant nearby,told how to get to the Faro beach and all the receptionists were friendly during our stay. Breakfast was 8 euros and you got fresh rolls/ 3 different meats/cheese//toaster/butter/jam/tea/coffee/juice/milk and hot beans/sausages/eggs were available..self service and eat as much as you need. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning is in the room. Shower/bath/toilet/tv and bidet in room. Like other reviews we had problems for a few days with the wi fi but once it was fixed we had no further problems. Very happy with our stay and would reccomend the hotel for a stay in Faro. very good value for what we paid.

|0.25km from city centerRecently refurbished three star property with a four star level of service. While the rooms are small, they are fully equipped and the bathrooms are sparkingly clean. Great air conditioning and good linen and towels. Good shower but sadly with captive liquid soap. Breakfast is the only meal offered but is extremely good even though there are only two hot dishes for us Northern Europeans. Fresh orange juice (whch is wonderful) is available for a small supplement. Given the fact that there's terrific restuarnt across the road (Gimbres by Oleg), the absnce of full meals provision is not noticed. There's s nice lobby bar.

|0.42km from city centerEnjoyed a 3 night stay at Hotel Monaco in Faro, upon arrival was greeted at reception and quickly got my key to the room on the 3rd floor. The room was very modern, the staff had closed the curtains so the room was cool. Air conditioned unit kept the room Icy cold which suits me, very comfortable bed with a small lcd tv mounted above a small desk. Hdmi plugs behind tv if you wish to pop in your fire stick. Complementary wifi with speeds good enough for streaming Netflix etc Small balcony so if you wish can sit out, the bathroom was of average size with a bath tub with over head shower. Adequate for showering! Plenty of storage space, small safe and a fridge to keep your drinks cold. Small pool outside with plenty of loungers although I never used this. The bar is quite spacious and the bar staff very attentive to your requests. I read a few bad reviews about breakfast, well yes it’s served in the basement but is well lite and decorated. Plenty of choices for all, only hot items were scrambled eggs and local sausages. Staff constantly kept all the food stocked up and kept the area clean. Overall I’d stay here again, Uber to/from airport 6 euro (although there is a shuttle) only 5 min journey and around 8 euro to Faro town centre less than 10 mins so it’s a handy base. Also free parking in the small street outside and is mainly in a residential area which is very quiet day/night.

|2.37km from city centerWr stayed here for 1 night before moving onto our holiday accommodation. Literally 5 minute drive from the airport. We checked in on line but still had to show passports at the front desk etc. We got there around 11pm. Every thing was still open so we checked in, took cases to the room and thenopted for a drink by the pool. A pint of sagres was around €3. Breakfast was hit and miss. Usual fare of cold meats, cheeses, cereal and toast. Limited choice but was all quite nice. The pool area was lovely though some umbrellas to afford some shade would be grate. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we needed to.

|4km from city centerThis was my second stay at the Aeromar Hotel on Faro beach, and the first with my partner. This is one of my favourite family owned hotels and at one of my favourite get away locations. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms are exactly what you would want from an authentic local hotel. So much more pleasant than a soulless branded international. The Breakfast buffet is very well priced and will set you up for a day at the beautiful beach or exploring the local nature reserves. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the views amazing. I will definitely be staying at the Aeromar again.

|0.42km from city centerSpacious apartment but with some shortcomings. Bathroom a bit small compared to the size of the apartment. There are no closets to put your stuff. In case of a stay for more than one night, I imagine there may be difficulties in settling down. Not exactly impeccable cleaning. Check-in takes place in a nearby facility and it would be better to provide the exact address of where to go already when booking. Quiet and we were able to park the car nearby; perhaps in high season the matter becomes more complicated. Value for money compared to many other hotels visited in the Algarve during the trip not very good but Faro is quite expensive to stay in hotels. Very good location for visiting the city.

|0.71km from city centerWe had two rooms. I think one was the best room in the place and one was the worst. The man who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the location was great. There is a big parking lot very close by. We parked our car in the wrong area (it was confusing) and took a pic and showed the man at reception and he said we were in the wrong spot and could be towed away. So, I suggest you do the same thing if you aren't 100% sure. One of our rooms had a great ceiling, a balcony, a king bed, a chair, and a big bathroom. Both rooms had A/C. The other room had a horrible view, a tiny double bed, a tiny bathroom, and NO chair. I wish I could remember the room numbers for this review. We did ask for one room to be cleaned without 'smelly' chemicals due to extreme allergies and they did that for us, which we thought was very kind and accommodating. Would we stay there again? Absolutely!!

|0.63km from city centerThe AP Eva Senses hotel was easily accessible from the airport on the local bus (16). Conveniently placed near the marina/harbour, its centrally located to local cafes, a mcdonalds and a convenience store.
The hotel itself has a large entrance hall with self-check-in available to guests. You’ll also find a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. I was assigned to a twin room which was a decent size offering a private shower room and balcony. Unfortunately I discovered multiple cleaning issues which I raised with reception – this included a cigarette filled ashtray, used glasses, stained bedsheets, dusty lampshades and towel rail, however they assisted me promptly and re-allocated me to another room which was a welcomed improvement.
Although a 3-star hotel, I did expect the cleaning levels to be slightly better than my experience, but the staff were very helpful with addressing my concerns.
Dinner at the Eva restaurant was warm and pleasant, the staff were very attentive, and the food was prepared and served within good time.
The continental breakfast was pleasant with pastries, deli meats, fresh fruit, tea and juices. The view from the rooftop was amazing!
As a solo traveller, I felt safe and accommodated. Cleanliness was a let-down but my interaction with the staff was positive.

|0.46km from city centerJust wanted to thank Stella and Patricia for looking after my daughter when she was stuck down with a nasty bug! My daughter called me in a panic and didn’t know what to do as was travelling alone, she didn’t feel well, was scared and alone in a foreign country. I managed to find the number for reception and the staff were amazing, they checked on her, took her water and looked into getting a doctor or emergency treatment. Unfortunately there were no doctors available and emergency was 8 hour wait. Stella and Patricia supported my daughter to a local pharmacy where she was able to get advice and medication she needed. They both have her free food and drink and were an absolute godsend! It’s hard for parents when our children travel alone, but knowing there are people out there that are so kind and supportive is so nice to know. There really are some wonderful people out there, thank you so much xx

Gorgeous, safe building in a prime location in the town centre - the staff are really helpful and the facilities are some of the best I've ever seen in a hostel. Brilliant kitchen, well equipped, brilliant showers and toilets, clean rooms with very comfortable beds and lockers with keys provided. Space wise, it fit my well packed 40L pack, small items, plus a large tent. All really good. Definitely book in if it's within your budget!

The hotel was approx. 500 meters from the airport. Hotel has a pool, a breakfast room, veranda & small bar. Modern decor. Next door to the hotel is a restaurant and a snack bar / take away with seating outside or in. A Oliveira Barbecue restaurant is recommended & info will be on a separate review. I will stay here again.

|0.26km from city centerWe loved it - where else could one stay at a former Roman palace for 200 euro a night ?! Beautiful outdoor pool with panoramic view, perfectly manicured garden, excellent breakfast, there is even an exhibition onsite. Our room (superior category) is spacious and also has a balcony , although we spent little time in room, there are gorgeous lounges with antiques and patios with flower garden view. Why would you stay in your room. We recommend 2 night stays and it is wonderful to enjoy the estate and there are SPA treatments, although we did not use it. The only catch is that it is 20 minutes from the beach. If you need to go to old town or beach, you need to drive a car (parking is included with spacious underground parking) or use Uber.

|0.52km from city centerLovely hotel, with staff that really go out of their way to make your stay special. Free shuttle to beach but remember to book and then we got the ferry back. It was my husbands birthday and they had left a bottle of bubbly on ice and a room with a partial Sea view. The bed was super comfy. The room very clean. Nice hotel decor. The roof top terrace was a must and we used this for drinks before we went out and then for breakfast the following morning which was great. The views are lovely. Hotel is perfectly positioned for restaurants and shops. We used the pool on the roof top terrace and had no problem getting a sunbed. Towels you could either ask for at reception if you needed to take to beach or a towel rack was by the pool (small pool). The lovely reception staff then arranged for our transfer back to airport. Which arrived promptly and was 5 star. Thank you Hotel Faro we will be back!

I cannot be more complimentary about the service we received from reception staff, breakfast staff and the two 'managers'. My wife has limited mobility and would use a wheel chair. Everything possible was done to make her stay as full as possible and our lovely room, at the front of the hotel was full of tech and extremely comfortable. Not a beech hotel but a glorious city break base, and Faro has more to offer than you might think. Many thanks to Ricardo and his team. Apologies if spelling is not perfect.
