Turin is an expensive city, so the price of hotels in the center is high. Hotel Lo Scudiero ("Squire") is inexpensive, but rather far from the center. You need get by metro for 20 minutes and 15 minutes by walk from the metro station. If You are not confused, the rest of the hotel is good. The staff are friendly, printed boarding passes for "Ryanair". Clean. There`s a great pizzeria "Da Frenk pizza" close to the hotel. Quiet and safety area.

The Residenza is in an old historic building, which is reflected in the height of the ceilings and size of the windows. The main entrance is behind a big, but anonymous, wooden door, so keep your eyes open for the small name plate alongside. It is situated in an area that's close to museums, old churches, great walks and fantastic shopping and restaurants to suit all budgets. We stayed in a standard room for one night on the journey down to Florence and again on the return. We had a different room both times. Both rooms were large, clean with a big shower room with bidet and toilet. The beds were both very large and comfortable. This is just somwhere to stay, breakfast isn't provided but there are several cafes close by. Reception is on the 2nd floor but there is a lift - I think it is big enough for a wheelchair, but best to check. Reception is open from 8.30 until 7pm, but information about entry after that time was clear and accurate. Overall, it was very good value.

Before we arrived here, we had stayed in great places in Rome, Naples and Cinque Terre so our standards were high. And this place did not disappoint, in fact it was outstanding. First of all we were greeted by an amazing host. Germana was welcoming, knowledgeable, obliging and warm. She gave us an outstanding welcome, and very kind to us throughout our stay. She gave us great advice on getting the most of our stay. The accommodation itself had a lot of character. Lots of understated style and very comfortable. The room was very, very spacious, The furniture was stylish but very comfortable. The bathroom clean and well equipped. The provided us a kettle and some facilities for hot beverages. It has these amazing curved ceiling, This room was comfortable. Room for two suitcases, and for us to be untidy. And room enough to feel comfortable hanging out in the room. The breakfast is really generous, with a huge selection of options, and of course great coffee. And they had the best wifi of all places we'd stayed. it is located very close to a lot of eateries, and the daily market. And within walking distance of all the attractions. Germana will give you great advice about getting around and the best route to walk to see everything. It's close enough that we could do our sightseeing and come back to the room for a rest, then come out again for dinner without feeling that you're wasting time. And very close to a very reasonably priced laundry service. Love this place, and we want to come back. Very little to be negative about. While the room was huge, the wardrobe was not very efficient or sensible. A short dress was not even able to be hung up properly. And for some people, the noise at night may be an issue. The sound of people talking and music is audible at night. It did not bother my wife at all, and i was totally fine with earplugs. It's probably the product of apartment living that I'm not used to and I only mention it to help fellow travelers. it will not deter us from coming back here! Torino is so under-rated. it was my favourite place in Italy. It is calm, sophisticated, elegant, and fun. But I would not have been able to appreciate is as much I did without Germana's guidance

Again i stayed at this small but very comfortable and well staffed hotel....not fancy but every comfort and service is offered by a most caring staff. The receptionists are so helpful and take care of your every need. The breakfast is one of the best i have experienced even at 4 star hotels...home made cakes and breads... organic yoghurts...great coffee. All day you can order coffee or a cocktail. The bedrooms are not large but beds are comfortable and each day caringly spruced up as are the bathrooms. I recommend this hotel highly.

If I lived permanently in Turin I’d be very happy to live here. I have now stayed twice, on my own in mid-winter and with my wife in spring. The aparthotel is close to Porta Nuova station and within easy distance of all the visitor attractions of central Turin. Do make sure you understand reception opening times and note that they’re closed between 12 noon and 2pm. They will store luggage. If you arrive from Corso V Emmanuel in the dark, look for the arched entrance just before the bank. If the gates are closed there’s an entry phone to the side. If they’re open, go through into the courtyard, turn left and the door to the apartments (another entry phone) is in front of you. Have faith, the system works! There can be a slightly edgy feel after dark in the surrounding streets but no more so than near many big railway terminals. Inside, there was slight noise from the flat above, but I guess that’s a hazard of apartment blocks anywhere. My apartment was peaceful (it faced the courtyard) secure, warm, very comfortable, spacious and had just the right equipment for self-catering. Groceries and fresh fruit and veg can be bought just around the corner. Within a 10 minute walk there’s a small supermarket that’s open even on Sunday evenings. There are plenty of restaurants too, and most of them won’t break the bank. Highly recommended.

Orologio apartments exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 4 nights for a business trip. My apartment was spotless and tidied daily. It had all necessary amenities and is located in a lively area of Turin, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I had a peaceful night's sleep every night. The staff were very helpful and all speak English, which helped as I have an abysmal understanding of Italian. I'd heartily recommend this apartment, particularly for business trips and city breaks.

I struggled with how to rate this hotel ... really 3.5 would be my star rating because there were things I did enjoy and like quite a bit about it, but it had some drawbacks such that I would not necessarily stay here again and would only recommend with some reservations. First, location. On the positive side it is on a quiet boulevard/corso, which I'm sure is quite pretty in the spring/summer. But it is a good walk (20-25 minutes) to the major attractions such as the Royal Palace of Turin, Egyptian Museum, and a good half hour walk to the Quadrilatero Romano (historical part of town with great restaurants, etc.) So either pack your good walking shoes or expect to use a taxi to get around. I chose to stay here because it did look quaint and different, and as my husband and I are both artists I liked the artistic theme of the hotel. Each room is named after a different Italian artist but I didn't really get how or if that theme carried into the rooms. Our room was fairly standard (ie, small) for a European/Italian hotel and to be honest looked in need of some freshening up. At least a fresh paint job: the walls had a lot of scuff and scrape marks from furniture and no doubt luggage being banged around the tight quarters. The bathroom was more modern but the shower stall INCREDIBLY small and tight. I'm pretty in-shape but I couldn't take a shower without bumping my elbows and knees against the sides repeatedly. I'm not sure if a larger person would be able to use the shower well at all. We also noticed a problem of tiny ants in the room, on the floor and crawling onto/into anything we left on the floor. And being on the first floor, I think right over or near the kitchen? On several mornings the smell of food cooking was QUITE intense and not the most pleasant "wake-up" call. The breakfast buffet itself was ok but not very extensive, and the hot offerings weren't often refilled later in the morning (by 9:30am we were lucky if any pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs were still left). On the positive side, the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant was absolutely outstanding - I'd highly recommend dining there. And the staff were very polite, helpful, and spoke excellent English.

We loved our week long stay at Il Viandante in January. There are two separate, gorgeously decorated attic apartments joined through a large shared kitchen, living and dining area. But, for a family of 4, 5 or even 6 this becomes one generously large apartment with private spaces for adults and kids or two couples travelling together. Everything in the apartment is modern and in excellent condition, and the converted attic feel is really attractive and cozy. Each morning, the delightful Anna arrived at the time arranged to prepare a sumptuous breakfast, then tidy and make up the rooms. With 5 star professionalism and effusive Italian generosity, Anna rocks! The apartment is only a few steps from the busy pedestrian Via Giuseppe Garibaldi and its many shops. A restaurant directly opposite is quite good and we found many other great restaurants within easy walking distance. The Palazzo Reale is a few minutes walk and there are tram stops just nearby. The two main train stations are about 1500m away in different directions. Being on the 5th floor, access by stairs is a decent climb. A modern lift squeezed into the stairwell is uniquely narrow, fitting 2 - 3 normal sized suitcases or people but not both together. Beware the lift door is so narrow that over-sized bags won't fit. Each apartment has a large double bed and a good-sized modern luxury en-suite. The 2nd apartment also has a small back room with 2 built-in single bunks with plain foam mattresses. Not luxurious, but our teenager enjoyed it here in her own space instead of the convertible lounge she had in most places! We did not get to meet Farida, who was away at the beginning of our stay, but she left us a very nice message.

You really couldn’t ask for a better, more central location. As its name suggests, the Attic is on the top floor of a building - not far from the main railway station. You enter via a huge, wooden front door, then cross the entrance hall to a glass door which allows entry to the lift. Up to the top - then a flight of stairs - and you discover a clean, friendly, well-planned hostel. My room had sloping ceilings due to being in the roof space. Communal showers were slightly temperamental but adequate. I enjoyed my 2-night stay and would certainly return if I go back to this interesting, rather grand city with its excellent opera house.

This B&B is a great find! We only had one night in Turin and had booked into one of the rooms. We needed to change our plans at the last minute, and so asked Giancarlo if it would be possible to move our night. He was exceptionally helpful and moved the night, and also stored our luggage for us the next day. The room we had (5) was very well appointed... everything we could want was in the room. Easy access (you self-serve for the checkin). The location is right in the middle of the old town so brilliant for all tourist sites. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Turin!

At Christmas eve we had not planned a formal dinner, but we decided at the last minute to go out to eat and chose the restaurant of San Giors hotel that is quite near home. I was expecting to enter an old, traditional inn, with old furniture and suffused lightning. We found instead a pleasant, bright piace with nice waiters, ready to any request. There was no special Christmas menu, but a choice between meal and fish menus, preceded by an amuse- bouche with paté and a refined sauce. Everything was good and well-finished; the desserts excellent and the final cost very reasonable. A nice surprise and a place to suggest to friends....

We were very happy in this small, reasonably-priced hotel, located just one block from the Piazza Castello. We had a room for a family of four, which was quite large (the bathroom was enormous, though the shower was small). The room was immaculately clean — not only clean, but the beds sheets seemed to have been freshly pressed. Decent, quiet air conditioning. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast, with the ability to squeeze fresh orange juice; the staff provide hot water for tea, will make coffee to your taste, and are happy to steam milk for anyone who likes their milk warm. If we had to look for negatives, we would say that they could probably vary some of the breakfast choices a bit from day to day. Also, there is no elevator, so you need to be able to climb stairs and carry your luggage up and down. The TV was the size of a small computer display, but you didn't come to Turin to watch TV, did you?

After a first positive visit in Spring, we decided to visit this hotel for the 2nd time. We booked a superior room but it was nothing superior about that! We got a very bad room above a kitchen..! The room had a balcony where the kitchen ventilation was present..the room was not special, needs updating too. Because the room was above the kitchen, we could hear almost everything, noise, people talking till late in the night and then early in the morning like 6:00 we were woke up by a lot of kitchen noise!! horrible! The room was noisy, you could also hear people walking through the concrete stairs. We slept very bad and the next day we asked for another room. We got another room in the building next to the villa. We were not presently surprised by some kind of noise of a pomp that was switching on and off during the night!!! Apparently this pomp was not isolated from the structure of the building. It was a very annoying sound!! 2nd night slept very bad! not at all! When we checked out, nobody from the staff was interested how our stay was, not so friendly. Only positieve point about this hotel is the staff in the restaurant! very friendly people!

This apartment was a true bargain in a great part of town close to the shops and museums. There’s a fridge & freezer, microwave and hot plates if you want to try cooking for yourself or have kids. There’s a seperate dining table and living room. The bathroom is a little funky (the toilet and bidet are inside a clear glass room - why?), but the shower is bigger than most in Italy. We dealt with Paulo who had next to no English, but was very friendly and had the basics covered (as well as an English printout of instructions). There is next to no parking in this area, but the tram/bus stop (4 to PN station) is 2mins walk. The elevator works. The wi-fi worked well. Tv only has Italian channels. Air conditioner worked. Curtains were almost blockout. There are multiple bars offering all you can eat apertivo for €10-€12 further down the same street, though you can’t hear any noise from them. Restaurants are right across the lane. High street shops about 10-15mins walk.

We stayed here for one night as we attended a concert at the Pala Alpitour stadium and the hotel was perfect for our needs. We reached it by taking the metro to Lingotto station and walking through the shopping mall and over the footbridge. On our return journey we took the train from the Lingotto train station (different to metro) as we found that was easier to get to and cost the same. It was a short walk to the stadium and the neighbourhood was very quiet. There was a supermarket a few blocks away which we were able to buy snacks and drinks in. The hotel itself was comfortable and quiet and the staff were friendly. They do offer breakfast (I believe you pay) but we left too early to try this so can't comment on it. It is a 6 minute train journey from Porta Nuovo where the airport bus goes to and there are lots of shops/sights near there so I didn't feel it was too far out to enjoy the city if you don't mind trains/metros/trams etc. I would probably stay here again.

We liked everything! Everything was perfect! Amazing hotel, right in the center! More central than this... beautiful and spacious room with incredible view. Room service/brekafast the next morning which was also presented in a fancy and very clean/proper/hygienic way. They take the covid crisis very serious but also are helpful and welcoming. So Paola (the hostess) was very careful and also providing us the best service. We have never met such an involved hostess, who with her experience and professionalism, knew when to give us privacy and when to think with us and give us very good tips. Thanks to Paola, we maximised the little time (1 day) we had in Torino. We went to the best restaurants which did not disappoint, and we visited the best museum, we went to the best venues for shopping and had the best views of the city. That is why we would like to visit again and we will stay at Corte Realdi again. Hopefully we can meet Paola again :) Thank you Paola and Corte Realdi -for making the check in/check out experience, the entire stay seem like a split of a second and an experience we want to repeat soon. We only stayed in Turin one night - and we happen to be the only guests in this lovely, quaint and quite historic building and B & B. Francesca met us upon arrival and was very gracious and hospitable. She provided some information on sights to see for our short time that afternoon, and before my sons headed to a concert that evening. She even provided guidance as to the best way for them to make the return trip to the B & B that evening!! What a delightful place which was located right near the train station, which for us this was a must as we were catching an early train the next morning. I would not hesitate to stay here again!! This hotel, classic old-European, was a comfortable experience. With the areas around train stations, in big cities, being typically quite colorful (especially at night) Turin’s relaxed atmosphere allows for relative safety at night. (Though you have to be careful everywhere in the world anyway.) My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and I could njoy a quiet rest at night. The receptionist is a sweetie who speaks English and was very helpful. It’s two blocks from the pedestrian shopping area, within walking distance of a multiple of musea, and just 150 metres from the tourist busstop - if you want to have an overview first. The city is beautiful, elegant, and with a nice easy flow. I’ve been to many Italian cities in the past, but this one stole my heart!
