One of the best hotels in Sydney!! Location is absolutely amazing, around 20 mins walk to Opera and Chinatown. QVB and train station are nearby, to Circular Quay just one station. Room is big and comfortable as well!

Room initially appeared well presented with good basic amenities and good central location for what we needed. Bathroom with large shower and good water pressure. Bed comfy.Front reception staff friendly and helpful. Parking close by (although a bit of a rabbit warren to get to / from car park, you also may need to tell parking staff that you a a guest of the hotel to get in as it also has public parking and fills up). The negatives I noted that bedside table had a couple marks (looked greasy/ hadn’t been cleaned properly) otherwise the room appeared clean to me. The tea and coffee looked like it was skimped (box showing 4 pods of coffee only had one). Friend in different room had similar experience and their soap was empty. Heard another guest complain about the cleanliness of their room to front reception whilst I was waiting in the lobby. For me the real surprise was being charged for things I didn’t use in the minibar. I rang them once I was home and reception told me it wasn’t an error, and the bill would remain (however they said ‘we will check’). I had one drink, not 3… unless I drank them whilst asleep! This is actually the action which motivated me to review this hotel, so others know to be careful. The charge won’t break my bank account but I feel like I have been shortchanged. I think all the issues with the hotel are with housekeeping, I won’t stay again though due to the minibar charges. If the housekeeping improved (cleanliness, refilling consumables and not charging guests for items not used) it has potential to be a nice hotel.

Had a staycation for one night on Friday 7th October as a surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday. We loved it! We were really impressed with the service and the quirky aesthetics. The reception staff were so helpful and friendly. We were given complimentary drink vouchers for the Gowings bar but unfortunately didn’t have time to go so we will be back soon for a drink! Definitely felt more like a more personalised boutique hotel experience compared with some of the big name chain hotels that have more of a standard corporate vibe. I booked the QT king room with breakfast included and we ended up staying in a room on the 10th floor which felt spacious and luxurious and had a view of the QVB. Felt very sound proofed, couldn’t hear any outside noise at all. Pillows were a little soft but the giant king bed more than made up for that. Really liked the option of having breakfast downstairs or room service. We took advantage of having the breakfast delivered (I ordered via the QT app) and the food and coffee were both surprisingly good. We have decided that QT Sydney will be our staycation hotel for special occasions. Looking forward to our next stay!

The hotel location is near the subway station and it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the Sydney Victoria Shopping Centre / Circular Quay. There is a bus stop downstairs to different places in the city, such as bondi beach. The hotel facilities are average, the beds are very narrow, and I don't like to see the inside of the quilt, other equipment is quite clean.

I first stayed at Sydney Hilton in 2006 and the quality is still of that high standard after many years. It’s always great to meet good people, I always look forward to be welcomed by reception staff. On this occasion, Alisa was exceptional. When I asked for a specific room, which was unavailable, Alisa offered a room upgrade, which came with executive lounge access. This was greatly appreciated, as the Lounge on the 36th floor is one of the highlights of staying at the Hilton. It really did make my stay much more memorable. Well done to reception staff, and Alisa particularly. Good job. Darren

I just checked out of room 603 at Castlereagh. I booked three rooms for myself and a couple of colleagues with location and price being the main reason for choosing this hotel. The location was definitely the best thing about it but not enough to come back. I don’t mind that check in was a bit slow, the phones didn’t work to call reception, my window was broken and had to be forcefully shut by staff. These things are annoyances that I can live with. All I want in a room is a clean, quiet and dark place to sleep. This hotel definitely wasn’t quiet nor dark. There were no block out blinds so the light streamed into the room at around 6:30am each morning. Even this would have been fine if I had a good night’s rest which was impossible with the construction site literally on the other side of the wall to my room. There was no mention of it when booking or checking in. I probably should have realised when there were two pairs of ear plugs in the bedside table…not a good sign. I find ear plugs really uncomfortable so had to play white noise on full blast on my phone. Even then, the construction noise was still booming through. Full disclaimer: my room was in the worst position out of the three I’d booked. The two other rooms had a room or two separating them from the construction while mine was right next to it. They also had issues with the noise but not as as bad as what I’d experienced. I recommend this place if you’re a heavy sleeper that can sleep through any noise (think drilling and hammering) in a well lit room. If you’re anything outside of that, I would pay a bit extra and find another place. Yes, this was the cheapest I could find around here but I’m heading home tired, irritated and needing a good night’s sleep.

I'm sorry to say, but the car parking information is quite misleading. I used Trip.com to search for my accommodation. I was renting a car so I needed a car parking space. Trip.com gives you the impression that this hotel provides parking for an extra fee. It gives you a price based on how long you'll need a parking space for. It quoted an overnight stay of $85. Upon arriving at the hotel, the clerk informed me that the hotel does not provide parking and that there is a third party car park I can use. He told me it would not be expensive (around $80 to park my car overnight) I drove to the carpark and saw that parking was $35 per hour and a maximum rate of $85 for an overnight stay. So far, so good. I left my car inside the car park from 9pm until 5am. Upon exiting the car park, I was charged $150 which was almost double what had been informed to me. I felt cheated and fleeced because there's nothing I could do about it as I needed to get to the airport that morning. I hope the hotel at least got their share of the plunder for luring me into such a scam. I don't want your trip coins are anything like that. I just want honesty and this hotel did not provide it. I need to do this trip regularly in the future and it's clear to me this hotel is not interested in repeat customers.

Business and family travel. We live in Western Sydney and decided on a night out in the city with some family. My partner works in the city, so convenient hotel location to the office and all other major shops and restaurants. Basically everything at your doorstep. Our room was ready by 12pm so my daughter and I were able to check in which was handy so I could drop off our bags. First time ever for us to have a complimentary mini bar stocked with drinks we like so we took full advantage of that! That's was a lovely surprise, thank you Grace Hotel! We booked a room with 2 double beds so we could push them together so we had a big bed to share with the little one sleeping in between us. Just easier than using a cot. I'd say she's more comfortable. If we stayed longer we would've made use of the robes, the slippers and the dining. Not our first time staying at the Grace and definitely won't be our last. Thank you again for the hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel!! 👌 ⭐️👌⭐️👌

Hello! I am a guest in room 8203. During my stay in the hotel, I felt the warm, friendly and considerate service of your hotel staff, which made us feel like family in the cold winter. Special thanks to the staff responsible for the cleaning of Room 8203, who clean up carefully and conscientiously for us every time. When the weather turns cold, they take the initiative to replace the thick quilts for us. There are not enough drying racks, so they take out their own clothes hangers for us. The room The door card was broken, and I contacted the engineer to repair it, and provided us with a lot of help. I hope that the leaders of your hotel can praise her, and thank you again!

The room is a bit small, and the front desk is set in the bar, but the room has to go out of the bar and go upstairs through a separate small door next door. There is no elevator. Fortunately, the stairs are not high, and there are three floors in total. The advantage is that the location is good, very close to various bus stops, and the city center. There is a free coffee and milk tea machine on the second floor, but no one seems to take care of it. The sound insulation effect is average, and people's voices in the aisle can be heard. Overall, it's okay, after all, the price has an advantage and the location is good.

Overall room was clean, however the USB port in the bedroom did not work, the alarm clock was not set and had an extremely annoying buzz, resulting in I had to unplug it anyway. The directions to the parking was extremely poor, no mention of a lift being used or what to expect. I suggested a flyer could be done to answer any questions for customers needing to use the car park service. There was little to no engagement of the staff about this and were only able to restate the poor information that was already given. I felt like a number and not a paying customer. It would seem your attention to details is lacking, and this would flow down from management to floor staff.

We always stay here when we go to the hospital. If you call and book that way you can get hospital rates, if that’s where you’re going! So accomodating, and they’re more than happy to go above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable. Parking is convenient and there’s plenty of it. Such a convenient location, we stay there when we have things at the public and private hospital. Close to bus stops, the station and great food locations. The Thai a few doors up is amazing. Also the restaurant attached to the motel is great!

Good location which is nearby my client office that i needed to get to within walking distance. Walkable to most places. Room is modernised but toilet is old, dingy and a bit dirty to be honest. Hair strands on the bath tub upon arrival and everyday (mine excluded) which is a put off. Daily housekeeping is only to replenish drinks and bed making. I shed my long hair and they are all over the toilet and bedroom floors. On last night, i found a face cloth i used the previous day with makeup stains refolded and put back onto toilet counter top as if it was new... Breakfast spread is delectable with ability to bring coffee to-go esp if you ate in a hurry in the morning.

Firstly the positive points of our stay: -The hotel is in a good location close to public transport -Reception staff were friendly -The layout of the room was good with lots of storage for the size Unfortunately our stay was heavily tainted by a couple of issues with the room which were that the air conditioning was not working for our entire multiweek stay and even though we told staff multiple times from early in our stay that it was not working and we were told we were wrong or that it had been resolved when it definitely had not. Additionally the room needed a better clean, it was surface clean but the carpet was still dirty (walking around in socks it'll turn your socks dirty colour) and shower wasn't cleaned. The bathroom door was very hard to open as the rollers must not be hung properly.

Absolutely terrible service. I booked this place before an early flight from Sydney the next morning and it was a last minute trip due to the rain storms in NSW that weekend. During a 5 hour train journey from Albion Park (that should actually take 1.5hrs) it became clear that we weren't going to make the midnight check in time, as landslides meant we had to take a bus replacement service. I tried multiple times to contact the hotel but to no avail and so I requested a free cancellation. I didn't get another response until nearly midnight on the day of the booking, by which point I had obviously booked another place to stay. The response said that I couldn't cancel for free as it was within 24 hours of booking. The response failed to address that I had requested to cancel within 15 minutes of booking and that I only cancelled on the basis that I wasn't going to be able to get there for their check in restrictions due to the adverse weather. Funnily enough it looks like we missed a treat with the amount of reviews that mention cockroaches crawling over the beds!! I've tried about 10 times since to contact this place and have had not one response regarding this. Truly dreadful service & such a shame that it's tainted our holiday experience. DO NOT GIVE THIS CORRUPT BUSINESS YOUR MONEY! F**k you Cambridge Lodge.

We spent a very comfortable night in a double room with ensuite. The building is old and full of character, with creative uses of space. The bed was clean and we slept extremely well. The best part was the friendly welcome. Our hostess could not have been more helpful and kind. She made sure we understood the access codes and asked about our trip. Surprisingly great location, a short walk to Burwood/Victoria Rds and fabulous Chinese restaurants. Burwood Park also close by. I thought being near the road would be noisy, but it was quiet and we slept undisturbed. It’s not fancy, but that didn’t matter at all. If you want fancy, you’ll be paying a lot more.

Clean hostel with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with large lockers for each occupant and personal plugs and bed side lights in a great position. Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

We stayed in this hotel when it was under another banner and thought it was ok then. We decided to book the Comfy King this time, as the room we stayed in last time was very small. We found the comfy king a lot better and we had plenty of room. Seriously, the room is just to change and sleep in not to party. Under the Covid rules, It is not serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just ask at reception and they will help you out. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. And this hotel is 100m from Central Station, so transport was never a problem. We would definately stay here again.

Located in The Rocks, walking distance to Circular Quay. Need to be a mountain goat to walk here, especially with luggage. Once dropped off, explore the beautiful Rocks area. I caught the train to Circular Quay, where the Opera House and Harbour Bridge is. Then walked up many, many stairs to get here. Well worth it. Very modern, even though it's built over an archaeological site of part of the old Rocks area. Beautifully done and preserved. Room was very modern and clean, albeit expensive for a double ensuite room. But i did not mind paying for the location and cleanliness. Bathroom modern and clean. Lockers available for long term hire. I can not rate it highly enough The rooftop of this hostel!!?? Absolutely second to none. Perfect views of the Opera House, Bridge and harbour

It feels like the hotel is a little old house, there is no elevator, and it is not friendly to people with a lot of luggage. I stayed for three nights, except for the pain of moving luggage, and the foreigner's service attitude was ok. However, it started to rain the next day, and when I slept, I found that there was a little water dripping from the ceiling on the bed. Although there were not many, the sleeping position was much smaller. We told the front desk the next morning and they said they would help us change a room. Because we were in a hurry to go out, we didn't let them change immediately, but when we came back in the afternoon, we found that they had changed our rooms and moved everything from our original room to the new one. Their work efficiency is good, but since we didn't tell them before we went out that they need to help us move things, they took the initiative to move our unpacked or open luggage to a new room. In this way, when we picked up the luggage, we found that the luggage was messy (they simply covered the luggage with the zipper in the middle compartment), and took some time to rearrange it by ourselves. Although I didn't lose anything, I was still uncomfortable.

I’ll start with the positive, the woman on reception was really friendly and polite. That was it. The room was absolutely disgusting, I had to swat about 5 mosquitoes, and the walls were covered in squished bugs from previous tenants. The room itself was tiny, the ‘en suite’ was like Harry Potter’s bedroom. Sheets were just thrown on the bed and we had to put them ourselves (boo hoo). No towels were provided. The beds were made of concrete. The walls were paper thin and unbelievably co**** which when getting down from the bunkbed I grazed my arm. Other tenants just pile out into the street making the place look so uninviting. I feel sorry for actual residents on that street it must be hell. In the reception area, they left the dirty laundry basket that was FILLED with bloody tissues just out in the open for guests to see. If you want a good night sleep don’t go here. If you want to just listen to loud club music against your will maybe this is the place for you.

We were at the Sydney Harbour National Park and went to the hotel. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic when we checked in. We told us how to go to restaurants and supermarkets nearby, but they got off work at 7 pm and used it after going out. The key opens the door. The door locks, switches and window styles in the room are very retro, the public bathroom is very clean and has no odor, and it can also be bathed inside. Although there are many other guests in the building, the room is soundproof. Foreign hotels generally do not charge a deposit. This may not be your regular 4 or 5 star hotel. Let's face it, the rooms are pretty small BUT they're incredibly compact, extremely comfortable, well-presented and extraordinarily clean. In fact, the entire hotel is so scrupulously clean, I knew if my mother were still alive, she'd be declaring the floors so clean ”that you could eat your dinner off them”. Plus, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professionally friendly. Situated very close to Sydney University and RPA Hospital, there's an express bus-stop to the city right outside the hotel's door, as well as a plethora of shops, pubs, cafes, bars & restaurants within easy walking distance. Location drew me to Establishment, situated near some of my favourite restaurants in Sydney and close to the venue where I was doing business. Establishment delivers for location. I also chose Establishment for a little bit of luxury to break a heavy work schedule and it did not live up to expectation. It seems to be a great party crash hotel for the bucks/hens night with few services that really speak to the time poor luxury business traveller. It’s beautifully styled with a comfortable bed, but that is about the limit. It’s the services and the quality of the room features that let it down. No 24 hour room service and a menu that is not reflective of the quality of the food precinct it’s situated in. (I went out to get an excellent take away breakfast that I brought back to my room rather than order anything from the scant breakfast menu that looked like a take away menu). I left my computer power charger at home, but concierge could not help me with one to borrow or ideas on where I could buy a replacement. The bath is very narrow and not much hot water - I boiled the kettle to get it a bit warmer. Hunter products in the bathroom but there was no hair conditioner and few of the little luxuries that you would expect in such a stylish bathroom such as extra towels, make up mirrors/lighting, an extra soap for the bath. The room fittings are pretty tired and scuffed up. It’s certainly ready for a bit of a renovation/ refresh. The carpet looks like it’s seem some amazing parties. The room, particularly the bathroom, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The bathroom shower curtain was really dirty and needs to be replaced. Lots of marks on the walls and scuff marks on furniture - looks tired and a bit worn out. There is no dedicated space to work for business travellers, other than a long table near the window but I had to sit on the bed. Inside the lift the small seating looks like it had seen some parties as well and not clean enough to sit on. No hand sanitiser anywhere. This was the most expensive room rate for the CBD area I wanted to be in, and the result was disappointing. As a lover of boutique hotels, I was looking forward to staying here, but based on this experience I won’t return and can’t recommend this one.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our visit to Sydney for the NYE celebrations. Hotel is very easy to access with the L2 light rail directly opposite the hotel taking you right in to the CBD. But because it’s a bit further out in Randwick, the price is much more affordable, especially on NYE! Even on NYE we had not trouble getting in and out of the CBD and was very easy. Also not far from the airport so an Uber was pretty cheap for a flight home. Our room was the first one as you enter the hotel. There is no soundproofing, so we heard everyone coming and going and conversations in reception. We could also hear the toilet being flushed above and even the pedestrian crossing beep outside. Therefore, I would definitely request a room at the rear. Apart from the noise, everything else was good. The room was spacious for 3 adults, with comfy beds and decent shower. Tea/coffee and fridge, iron and hairdryer in room. Large TV and good WiFi. There’s a communal kitchen with laundry facilities if you need it and a lovely courtyard area for chilling out. We had a daily room service and towels changed each day. Location is good with plenty of choice for eating locally and 15-20 min walk to Coogee beach. I actually walked from the hotel to Coogee and then on the coastal path to Bondi and back, which was excellent. We would stay again, but not in the same room due to the noise.

I've stay there quite a long time during the 2021 year and I was feeling like I was at home. The number of guest was very low because of the Covid. The staff is nice and the small size of the hotel makes it feels as a second home. I've got good memories from this place

Loved the value for money accommodation. It suited our needs perfectly. Good size room and your facilities were great. One thing to think about is the little things that make a difference. Toilet seat (125) that you sit on has gone yellow and the plastic is deteriorating. It would help with cleanliness if thing like that were in better condition. However, loved the dishwasher in the kitchen facilities. Nice layout of the room.
