|0.15km from city centerThe rooms are good and upgraded. I booked a beautiful room and was put on the 2nd floor with an unobstructed view but the view was good not the best. I found this hotel cleaner than the others we stayed in in Switzerland. The front desk wasn't very helpful I found rude people, also we waited about 20 minutes at the bar before I had to get up and get someone's attention. Well located in front of the train. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

|0.53km from city centerThis is a really nice hostel consisting of 2 buildings. The double rooms are in a separate building, which means it is nice and quiet there away from the groups. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is great, better than what is offered in some of the less expensive hotels. We had dinner once as well, which was very tasty and good value for money. You can enjoy the sun on the patio. plenty of seating outside and a ”Grillplatz” as well. All in all we had a great stay in this hostel.

|0.83km from city centerThe hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Grindelwald Train Station and can be reached by bus; the hotel is opposite the First Peak Cable Car terminal, which is very convenient.
The hotel room is small, free drinks are available at the mini bar, and it's quite clean.
Maybe because there are many tourists and tour groups, the waiters feel a little tired and not very enthusiastic.
The restaurant downstairs of the hotel is okay.

|0.44km from city centerGood morning, the restaurant is also very good, just facing the snowy mountains and hillsides! Staying on the first floor with a small terrace, great! On the hillside, it is too much effort to lead the luggage uphill and downhill, but there is a shuttle in the hotel, which is relatively convenient!

Breakfast: More good
Service: Coffee juice at the front desk, coffee is too good to drink, milk bubble is super rich
Room: There is a large terrace on the second floor. The space in the room is very spacious and awesome.

|0.73km from city centerWe reserved a top room for 1 night and were friendly. Old front desk, free reception. General state of the very old hotel!! you will deserve a little renovation. The hotel has a very good location, and the hotel has a great location, and the hotel has a great location. We have a lot of information, we paid CHF 10 for a parking place that was not even at the hotel but located in front of a business. The rooms are very simple, we paid about CHF 190 per room, really too expensive for the quality TRES standard and TRES simple. The room was very clean and the room was very clean and the room was very clean. Breakfast in addition CHF 15 per person = room service (cause of pandemic) not the option of choosing, increasing purchased in supermarket and heated in the oven. We were really disappointed .... For a Swiss hotel and at this price we expected a minimum quality.

|0.31km from city centerGrindelwald is a wonderful place to visit and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel Sonnenberg so much . Lovely room and worth paying a little extra for a balcony with a mountain view . Sitting out there in the evening watching the sun set on the mountains was priceless . Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice to set you up for the day . Only a few minutes walk down to the Main Street with all the restaurants etc and the station . Would love to return again one day .

|2.04km from city centerA perfect hotel, except for being a little more expensive, good location, open window is the snow mountain, living in the residential area of green hillside, quiet and natural, the air is good, the surrounding scenery is like a fairy tale, the traffic is slightly inconvenient, but it is late We called the hotel and they met us at the station. Just staying for one night is not enough. The restaurant is beautiful, tastefully decorated and the dishes taste good. Next time I will bring my family to the hotel.

|1.15km from city centerAmazing hotel. Our room had a huge private terrace and the views were unbelievable. I heard clanging one morning we were there and was delighted to see cows parading through the street right below us! The bus stop is literally right across the street so super convenient. Ideal location as it is super walkable to shops and restaurants but not quite in the noisier heart of it all. The staff was kind and attentive and it was a huge bonus to have laundry available in the basement. The toiletries provided in the room smelled amazing. The restaurant was top notch, we dined there our first night. To end our stay, we got a lovely Swiss chocolate bar as we checked out :) My only (very minor) recommendations would be to include a hook or two in the bathroom, provide larger bath towels, and include fluffier pillows or just an extra for each guest (ours were nice quality but quite a flat style and there were only one per person - a second pillow would help with the flatness issue). But overall, a marvelous and magical place. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

|0.2km from city centerThe location is very good and the overall layout is very warm. The balcony of the room was very comfortable, and we got up in the morning and liked to sit on the balcony and have a coffee. The breakfast variety of the hotel is slightly less, but it can be tolerated after two or three days. There are many fun routes around, and there are supermarkets to buy things. Overall, I am very satisfied!

|0.37km from city centerThis hotel can score 100 points. First of all, Grindelwald is the most convenient and most suitable place to stay in the entire Jungfrau region. This hotel is also very good. The bus stop is free of charge at the bus stop and free mountain bike rental. Although the pool is small but the scenery is invincible, the breakfast is superior to other Swiss restaurants. The parking space is sufficient and free. Except for the expensive price, the others are perfect. Oh, it is my problem.

|0.16km from city centerIn view of the scarce parking spaces in Grindelwald, the parking lot directly at the house was very pleasing, even more pleasing - it was free! Of course we left the car for the stay there and walked. The room (double room with bathroom) was relatively small, but adequate. Very nice to see the local mountains right outside the window in the early morning! The breakfast buffet wasn't exactly lavish, but it was adequate, and there was even rice ready for the predominantly Asian guests. The coffee was always freshly brewed in cups and tasted correspondingly good. Tickets to the Jungfraujoch were available at the friendly reception at original prices. The walk to the train station takes about 10 minutes. Rooms with shared bathrooms were also available for thrifty guests, mostly younger Asian travelers. Conclusion: gladly again (but 1x on the Jungfraujoch is enough in life)

|0.11km from city centerThe Belvedere exceeded all I hoped for in the usual issues like cleanliness, friendly helpful staff, and assisting in planning adventures in the region. What went well above my hopes was the entire staff's attitude toward the dietary restrictions for my travel partner. There is no information concerning availability of gluten-free meals contained in Belvedere's information BUT I have never seen such a positive and cheerful attitude by a staff. If you are or are travelling with someone who is gluten challenged, you absolutely must stay here. Once we talked with the restaurant staff for the initial meal (dinner) they would have gluten free foods and options already prepared for every other meal before we could even ask. We will be returning to this area and will always stay at the Belvedere.

Grindelwald
|0.6km from city centerWe were hiking from Schynige platte til First, and had clearly underestimated the hike and perhaps overestimated our own ability. When we reached First, the gondola down to Grindelwald was closed (for anyone else, please note that they close it rather early (17:30-18:00-ish) considering how long a hike it is from Schynige Platte, and start as early as possible, since it takes quite some time to even reach Schynige Platte with the mountain train from Wilderswil). We called the hotel, to let them know, that we were coming but it would take some time, as we had to walk down from First on very sore legs. Steffie from the reception (sorry if this is not the correct spelling of your name) was incredible kind, and tried to help us as best as possible, and directed us to the hotel halfway down, where we could try to call for a taxi. We made it to the hotel, and as luck would have it, a taxi pulled in at the same time, as it was driving some people up to the hotel up there. If you should happen to end up in the same situation, try calling a taxi and see if they will go all the way up to First. It should be possible but will of course cost a bit to get them up there. The hike down to the hotel halfway down was quite steep, so hard on the knees. We were delighted to crawl into the taxi and get driven all the way to the hotel door. Here we met Steffie, who kindly offered to open up the spa area just for us, as it had closed before we were able to reach the hotel, and would not open until after we had to check out the next day. We were too tired at that point, and were in stead allowed to go in the spa the next day, despite having checked out at that point. We ordered some food from Steffie and got it sent up to our room, and enjoyed a meal, a nice bath and a comfortable bed. The next day, we enjoyed a very nice breakfast with champagne. Best of all was the employee cooking up omelets on order at the breakfast bar. We checked out. Stored our luggage at the hotel and went for a walk in town, before heading back to the hotel and enjoying the spa after it had opened. Steffie provided us with a key to the spa, and we were then lucky enough to be able to enjoy the spa all to ourselves. Definitely recommend using it when it opens up around noon if you have the opportunity. The infinity pool was just amazing in the sunlight and with the mountains in the background. Absolutely recommend this hotel, and a very big thank you to Steffie for the great service!

|2.89km from city centerThe hotel is on the way to the First cable car, Bort station, more than 1,600 meters above sea level, from the Grindelwald train station by car, about 20 minutes, the mountain trail 18 bends, test the car skills but the scenery is beautiful, the snow mountain is in front of you. It is said that the navigation information of Apple Map is not allowed, and it is very crazy to ask for help from the hotel. Finally, it depends on Baidu map (the domestic SIM card cannot be used on Google). We have 2 big 2 small booking triple rooms (the youngest is only 3 years old), there is no problem with staying. The room is not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Dinner is good, 4 people 80 yuan to get. There is a children's playground next to them and the children have a great time. In short, the scenery is first-class, self-driving is still convenient and comfortable, recommended.

We had a family room with my wife and my two girls adolescents, the room is large enough and the spacious bathroom also, The young woman who welcomed us was very sympathetic and made the effort to speak French. The hotel has a very good breakfast, there is also a parking underground at €15 per night, the last day we could leave the car until 15:00. |0.73km from city centerIt’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is not very far, but it’s a little tired if it rains with a suitcase. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the First cable car station, which is very convenient. It is worth mentioning that if you choose to include dinner when booking the hotel, it is really super cost-effective ~ delicious and rich, every day I will seriously post menus everywhere, and I am responsible for saying that this is the level of Fine Dining, such a dinner Any restaurant should be above 120 francs per capita. The restaurant environment is also nothing to say, the service quality is very good ~ excellent experience, rich breakfast, worth the price, super recommended. They also gave home-made potato chips when they left. If it is not enough, it may be that the facilities in the room are average~ but it is very clean, the balcony is facing the mountain, beautiful!

|0.24km from city centerThe pinnacle, quite literally, of our Swiss trip was in the beautiful alpine village of Grindelwald. The Konzett family runs their historic, charming boutique hotel in the heart of the village, convenient to everything including the train station. The hotel is a thoughtfully appointed, subtly luxurious hotel with super friendly and professional staff. This was the first European trip for our grandchildren, and the staff made certain it would be a trip of a lifetime for them. The Hotel Kreuz & Post was the perfect choice for both the adults and children. The staff is top drawer--professional, kind, extra accommodating and everything you would expect in a luxury hotel. Highest recommendation for an authentic stay in the Swiss Alps. Kudos to all the Konzetts and staff!

|0.58km from city centerThe hotel stay was wonderful and exceptional and my family and I are particularly amazed with the Swiss hospitality provided. Every staff member is so friendly. I also want to give a special shoutout to Jana. Tourists and travellers planning to make a base between Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken or Grindelwald - look no further. This hotel has everything you need. The rooms are amazing for value and very comfortable and the breakfast provided by the hotel is on another level in terms of the quality of offering. There is literally nothing to complain about the room and we regret we didn't stay as many days in Grindelwald. The location of the hotel is 5 minutes walk from the First Mountain station and located strategically in the middle of the town. To top it off, the hotel is coupled with Restaurant Barry which in our opinion provides one of the best meals you can have in Grindelwald and the pricing wise is standard and comparable to other establishments around the area. Since we drove as well, tourists and travellers would be delighted to find that the Hotel provides ample parking space which is charges ~30 CHF (please check with the hotel). All in all, 5/5 will definitely return during winter season.

|0.69km from city centerEiger Lodge Chic - Grindelwald: I didn’t realize that the Eiger Lodge was located in Grindelwald Grund – Terminal, not in the heart of Grindelwald. Having noted that, I must say that our 7 nights at the lodge with a room and balcony facing Mt Eiger and sumptuous breakfast, I was happy for my mistake. The lodge is near the Terminal from where we purchased tickets and left via cable car for the Top of Europe – Jungfrau, and took the Mannlichen - Wengen cable cars, as well as the main Grindelwald Terminal train station. There is also a ‘shuttle train’ which runs between Grindelwald Grund and the main Grindelwald town. It’s also a few steps away from the lodge (on the other side). The owner and staff are very personable and very helpful. The lodge is an interesting mix of hostel and hotel. We were in the newly opened ‘Chic’ section. Waking up to those incredible views from our balcony was priceless. Their laundry facility is somewhat limited for the number of guests. Line-up is via the honor system – first come / first can use it. The Eiger Lodge also runs a nearby campsite (5 minute walk). Breakfast can be enjoyed inside or outside. The lodge has an outdoor restaurant (open evenings) with covered and uncovered seating. We ate there several times – good food / limited menu / cold beer. The lodge provides all guests with a free bus pass. We used ours to get to the town of Grindelwald, so we could take the cable car to Grindelwald First, where we also hiked to Bachalspsee and met the contented Swiss cows. Highly recommended.

|0.1km from city centerFrom the moment we arrived by train…and walked the 400 feet from the train to this hotel, we knew we were in the right place at the right time. This hotel feels traditionally Swiss, with a spa, pool, and food offering that is decidedly modern. Perfectly located for awesome day trips to the surrounding areas. Our room was clean and spacious. The huge bath tube saved the day after many of the hikes we took from this location, central to the JungFrau region. Reservation and check-in was super easy. The front desk team couldn’t have been more professional, welcoming, and ready to help make our trip the best it could be. Special mention goes out to Andras….Front desk guy, and our favorite concierge of all time. Every morning, I would go to Andras and say, “Andras, today we’d like to go to (fill in the blank with a typical tourist trap)” He would say, “No you don’t. You’ll have a much better time (insert amazing, fun-filled, off-the-beaten-path adventure.)” It happened every day and we had a blast. He was able to read our energy, and give us perfect suggestions! Thank you Andras and Miriam (who also made us feel right at home) Breakfast was to die for. Although there were quite a few very large tourist groups, the hotel gave us independent hotel guests a more private and quiet space. We ate our evening meals that the hotel as well. It was never boring or repetitious. One night Raclette in the cozy bar area. Another night in the main dining area. Our favorite night was in Restaurant Schmitt, enjoying a chef’s course menu. Executive Chef Markus Handau, prepared an innovative and creative symphony of courses. Each one more exciting than the last. Our favorite servers, Gabriel and Julio made every meal enjoyable! They were friendly and authentic and told us stories of their own day-to-day lives in Switzerland, even though home was Brazil and Portugal. The Spa team were amazing as well. They kept the facilities neat and clean. And I had a terrific massage the day we arrived. It was also so nice to go to the Wednesday Night Summer Streetfair while staying here as well. We will definitely return to this Swiss classic!

|0.38km from city centerThis is an accommodation that made me cry and laugh during my trip to Switzerland :) First of all, if you look at the facilities, it is clean and nice since it was recently opened. There was an elevator and a kitchen available, but there were almost no dishes or appliances. There was no problem with cooking at all.
The location is a very far walk from Grindelwald Station, or a short bus ride away. 🌟Throw away the idea of walking with your luggage on the first day.🌟 This is a vertical hike that you can never climb without carrying your luggage. Be sure to check the bus schedule before taking the bus (it's convenient to use the SBB app). Your accommodation will give you a Grindelwald guest card, so you can ride the bus for free. (I had a Jungfrau VIP coupon, so I didn’t use it.)
The reasons I cried were:
1) As soon as I arrived, there was no one, so I called and waited for about an hour, but no one answered and didn't come. There were people staying, so I had to wait in the lobby. I had another number on my laptop, so I called, but no one answered.
2) While I was waiting, a man called and asked why I was calling. When I told him I wanted to check in, he said I was fully booked for today, so what did I mean? I told him my reservation number and he said he would understand. Later, he came running in from outside and asked for my passport. Didn't say a single word of apology. (I was very angry here.) Anyway, in conclusion, he said that there was a reservation history on Trip.com but not in his system, so he had me check it and said he would do something about it since there were no rooms available. However, his attitude was not that he was sorry and was trying to do something, but rather that he was annoyed with me.
3) In the end, they gave us our room keys condescendingly, as if they had made it very difficult for us to get a room, and we were very upset that they were sorry for waiting for an hour and that there was no compensation, but we wanted to rest in the room quickly, so we brought the keys up. However, as shown in the picture, they gave me a room without a terrace... Obviously, the room I paid for had a terrace on the reservation screen, and I made the reservation with that in mind, so when I went to argue with them, they said that the room I had reserved was that room.
(I was told that it was given to me because I had created a room, but when I went down and inquired, I found out that the room was originally assigned...)
4) Then, while showing a picture of the reservation screen on 'Booking.com', he enthusiastically emphasizes that the room may or may not have a terrace. The problem is that I paid through 'Trip.com' and the room type I booked on Trip.com is not available. All photos showed a terrace. When I said that, he got very angry and told me to cancel it for free and to leave if I didn't like it.
To be honest, these words sounded very threatening to me, and I was so intimidated by the man's attitude that I was afraid that he might do something to me. I sometimes wonder if they are speaking in such a threatening manner because I am a woman and Asian.
[I notified Booking.com's customer service center of my move, and now the reservation screen for the room I selected also includes a photo of a room without a terrace.]
Anyway, for this reason, I started my trip to Switzerland very angry and depressed. ㅠ ㅠ
This room does not have a terrace and has a tree view, as someone left in a Google review... lol Next time I go again, I think I'll just choose the room one level up because I'm worried about getting this room.
Also, the toilet and bathroom were attached together, so it was shared by 3 rooms. Please note.
