I can recommend the Maritim Hotel. The service from check-in to breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, the rooms have come very much into the years. The hotel needs a renovation. The friendliness of the employees is to be highlighted. I'm rather than just a number in a designer hotel.

The location is convenient, about a 15-minute walk from the mannheim railway station. If you have less luggage, you can walk directly there. If you have more luggage, it is recommended to take a taxi, because you have to cross a lot of roads. The hotel lobby is not big, the check in is very fast, the reception is very polite, the rooms are normally separated by German hotel equipment, and the breakfast choices are average. Overall, but not lost

War here in Mannheim at the Veterama. Beautiful small hotel, so shoes furnished and friendly staff. You feel at home immediately. Shoes , clean rooms . To receive water and good bonbons. Nice furnished and very hygienic. The beautiful breakfast as in the Grand Hotel. Just made everything with so much love. There was no open wish that was not fulfilled. We felt so well that we booked just for the narrowest year. There are many shoes and good restaurants where you can read the night quietly. The road railway is almost outside the gate and with little effort you come to the museum, maimarket and the city. Just in the vicinity is the railway station. Very quiet the night and they beds are very comfortable. Just recommend******

We arrived at the hotel after a long travel day in the early evening and the receptionist was very friendly, listened and gave us two nice rooms with views towards the city (rather than the station and rail-tracks). The rooms were clean and had amenities such as a kettle. What really rocked was the breakfast. An excellent choice of cold and warm, a very good handmade fruit-salad and bircher musli. As I am someone using the stairs rather than the elevator to do some steps, I really enjoyed the motivating messages on each floor of the staircase. Good idea! Overall great value for our money. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay, we will come back when the opportunity arises.

On a trip to Czech Republic from France we stayed at this hotel on both legs. Going to Czech we were impressed with the room and our only niggle was the fact that we had to go to the bar to order a meal in the restaurant on the opposite side of the floor. We were informed that this was because of the fact that they were catering for conferences!! Apart from that our room on the second floor was lovely. Fast forward 6 days and a different picture! Room 126 was allocated to us but when I wanted to contact Reception I found that the telephone didn’t work. Then when I went into the bathroom to find that there was an unrecognisable sticky substance on the door handle. I then learnt that a hotel such as this didn’t have its restaurant open on a Sunday night!! What is going on?? Not impressed with Paula, the receptionist, who, although was prompt to rectify the room faults by immediately moving us to another one, certainly wasn’t too impressed with her guests, judging by her voice!! Certainly not a warm welcome!!

Mit positiven Erwartungen bin im Rahmen einer Tagung für 2 Nächte in diesem Hotel gewesen; Ergebnis sehr ernüchternd. Betonen will ich gern daß das Personal ausnahmslos sehr angenehm und bemüht war. Das Zimmer war riesig, mit rechts alten Möbeln vollgestellt und überwiegend funktional. Es besteht definitiv ein deutlicher Renovierungsstau der so ziemlich Alles betrifft. Manches ist schlichtweg defekt (Toilettenpapierhalter fällt ständig runter, Garderobenhaken sind abgerissen, Aussenjalousie defekt etc.) und das Meiste ist völlig überaltert. Sauber war es. Unverschämt war daß mit der Begründung daß das Wetter zu unstet sei die Klimaanlage nicht zentral eingeschaltet war. Das Wetter war sehr konstant und von Tag zu Tag in Richtung 30 Grad wärmer. Mit der Klimaanlage wird geworben - hier ergo ein klarer Etikettenschwindel und eine Täuschung zulasten des auch dafür zahlenden Gastes. Meinen Kollegen in anderen Zimmern ging es genauso. Daher Mangelhaft und keinerlei Empfehlung !

Stayed here two nights for work and couldn’t fault it. Location is perfect - next to the train station. My bedroom was large and well equipped with good views over the city. The breakfast was very good - not a huge selection but everything you basically want. The on site stock was well stocked and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Mercure Mannheim Rathaus is a bit dated but still OK and very practical / functional for a stay in Mannheim. Centrally located. Friendly staff. Clean. Access with public transit is a bit tricky, either a 25-minute walk from the main station or a combination of tram / walk. Arriving by car is much easier, they have a garage (do not know about the cost though). One nice things for a stay during the summer period: you can open the windows at the hotel for fresh air. Downside: there was no vault in the room.

Das Hotel kann mit Qualitäten glänzen wie kein Anderes. Zumal darf man bei einer Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass eine Stehlampe funktioniert, von 50 Prozent ausgehen. Des Weiteren wiesen die Handtücher nicht nur Flecken und Löcher, sondern auch einen köstlichen Duft von Arsch auf. Neben der architektonischen Missgestaltung des Hauses, besaß mein Bad eine stilistisch, klug, falsch eingesetzte Fliese. Ebenfalls traf ich, in diesem 10.000 cm^2 Bad, auf zwei weitere wunderschöne Überraschungen. Zum Einen durfte ich eine nutzlose, herausgeschraubte Armatur begutachten, zum Anderen traf ich in der Dusche auf vereinzelte entzückende Schimmelkolonien, welche mir ein Lächeln aufs Gesicht zauberten. Als ich mein Zimmer betrat war ich erleichtert, dass ich nicht der Einzige mit einem Schaden bin, sondern auch die Wand meines Zimmers erquickte mich mit einem vorzüglichen Wasserschaden. Zugute kam dem Hotel einen, an meine Stube angeschlossenen Balkon, welcher mir einen Ausblick des Grauens bescherte. Denn der Innenhof, auf den ich blicken durfte, war von einer durchgehenden Grundbeschissenheit ausgestattet. Aber nicht nur negative Aspekte beschatten das Hotel, sondern auch ein einziger guter, nämlich das Personal. Dieses wies eine überdurchschnittliche Freundlichkeit auf, welche wahrscheinlich auf einer regelmäßigen Drogeneinnahme basiert. Durch die liebevollen Worte „ Danke Bruderherz“ des Personals und der wahrscheinlichen Drogenabhängigkeit, schließe ich auf einen Wohnsitz nahe des Frankfurter Hauptbahnhofs. So kann ich dieses Hotel nur jedem empfehlen, zumindest jedem der von seinen niedrigen Erwartungen enttäuscht werden möchte. Vielen Dank Best Western!

Wir waren mit unserer Enkelin hier und waren zufrieden. Ins geräumige Doppelzimmer wurde ein Zusatzbett gestellt. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und vielfältig. Das Personal freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Preis - Leistung stimmen. Allerdings liegt das Hotel weit ab vom Schuss und die Bushaltestelle ist am Wochenende nicht in Betrieb. Die nächste Straßenbahnhaltestelle ist ca. 700 m entfernt. Sowohl für den Besuch der BuGa als auch für einen Ausflug in die Innenstadt muss man einige Lauferei einkalkulieren. Mit Koffern haben wir deshalb lieber ein Taxi genommen.

The room is fairly clean and the bathroom layout is reasonable. The location is not close to the train station, not too easy to find, but not far from the Mannheim water tower. The staff is very welcoming.

It depends on the type of trip. If you book a trip that is delaying, creative, raised, you are here goldright. Perfectly located to the HBF and thus center, great equipment (ground, bath, bed), wrong good Italian breakfast buffet. There is no better way to make a boutique hotel. When you make a hectic business trip, you should know what to get on. No hacks in the bathroom for bath bags, no sticks in the bed for mobile loading, hardly soundproofing, which disturbs the neighbor's shoes, rather bright, no parking, breakfast 2 houses further, i.e. weather, Win and switch Wi-Fi if you are in a call). Wi-Fi ... yes ...Very very complicated. However, personally I always prefer other hotels in Mannheim !

It is a small hotel remodeled from an old house with a history of more than 300 years. The room is small, but super clean and warm, with all the facilities and very convenient. We had spent our trip staying at this hotel unfortunately on the Saturday night there was an event so the parking was full . We had to pay the fees in advance so I did ask for refund at the reception as we parked on the street.The lady was rude from beginning and extremely unhelpful, told us to send an email . No one came back to us after 4 weeks we still waiting for our money. I can’t believe that a guest is being ignored like that !!!!! Then they are cleaning the rooms every second day that means every second day we needed to go down to ask for new towels etc. The receptionist very unpleasant person insulted other guests by calling them ossis ( the easten guys) , as they had a slightly accent . They were so shocked that they didn’t know what to say . Very unprofessional and not at all welcoming!!!!! There are plenty other great hotels in Mannheim where guests are welcome and get the value for their money.

After reading plenty of bad reviews we were concerned about our organized trip to the BUGA 23 (we had no choice of the hotel). ⭐ Location ⭐ : Mercure is right in front of the main entrance ”Luisenpark” to the BUGA 🌺🌹🌻 Perfect for us 👍 Walking to the nice Wasserturm & city centre takes around 25 minutes. Good PT options very close by (Tram 6). Check in: fast and friendly, check out also. Room: on the 4th floor, kind of worn out/abgewohnt but clean enough. Some items missing (towel, glass) , but quickly solved with front desk. Soap and shampoo ok. Restaurant: BF was ok, fresh food and enough choice. Buffet dinner for our group was good, especially the anti pasti/hors d'oeuvres buffet, which had an Italian/French touch👍 Service: restaurant&bar, very friendly and caring German waiter who served us (Bier&Weissburgunder) with a smile.... even late in the evening after we came back from the Joy Fleming musical 👍 Wifi: perfect, no problem with connection/data usage.

The hotel pretty far from Bahnhof but if you not hurry or your destination are in the city it's ok. When I arrived, there were many people waiting to check in. Got a room a little late I have to wait 15-20 minutes to get a key card. (Unfortunately the hotel bar was not open at that time. Otherwise I will have a seat to chill and wait.) The room :: I really like the room, everything like in the picture, So stylish, comfy and clean. Just the AC it was not cool at night.
