|5.34km from city centerWe have been to Khao Yai before at other resorts. This time we tried Romantic Residence. We would not recommend this place compared to other resorts in the same price range. The staff hardly speaks English, hotel room/appartment not designed with the user in mind (no reading lamps and bedside tables, air con in the middle of room and ice cool air on your head when lying in the bed). Besides, the style is not romantic at all and the pool is situated in the Romantic Hotel Resort which reminds of a shopping mall where nobody wants to lie quietly by the pool. The views from the room/appartment to the mountains was nice!

|6.51km from city centerLala Mukha is a very special experience. The hotel is well situated and well maintained. The tents are small but very cute and if you want to get close to nature, this is it. Some cheapskates might feel that ca. 100 usd for a tent is expensive, however you are paying for the experience and an experience it is. We saw a elephant at 6:15 in the morning right behind our tent (the people who thought we his place was expensive probably were asleep…). In any case it is worth it.

|3km from city centerI’m writing this review as I’m sitting in the room balcony, it’s excellent and tranquil. The weather, ambience and the hotel service speaks out on its own. This is definitely my top hotel so far, even though it’s considered old by many but the room, service and food is excellent. Can’t recommend enough of it. Look no further for you stay in khao yai, it’s just great. Value for money and quiet.

|4.51km from city centerWe booked for 2 nights, stayed 4, and would have been happy with a few more. Our garden bungalow had a nice large room with a separate shower and plenty of hot water. The beds were softer than the usual hard plank Thailand beds. We slept well on them. The AC also worked well. We used the large fridge to keep beverages cold and enjoyed them on our patio overlooking the lovely garden filled with bird songs. There's also a rooftop terrace but no chairs up there and we couldn't be bothered to lug some up. Breakfast on the patio was a highlight; it's served based on your choice. Tea/coffee, real fruit juice, and water and some bananas to start. Yoghurt if you want. Then the main selection. We enjoyed huge omelets or scrambled eggs with bacon, there were other choices. But not done yet! Toast with the main. Then 2 more fruit plates with very nice selection including a couple local fruits we hadn't previously tried. And finally sticky rice with mangoes or bananas. We couldn't eat it all! The family that owns and runs the place are just the nicest hosts one could have. They drove us 10 minutes to pick up the scooter we rented and did the same when we returned it, bringing our luggage. The father started 20 years ago with a cornfield and built a paradise. Restaurants and 7-11 are in walking distance and the Khao Yai gate is about 10 minutes by scooter. We spent 2 wonderful days in the park and went to the bat cave on the 3rd evening after relaxing in the garden during the day. I can't say enough good about this place. It was perfect for us.

|8.38km from city centerMy trip ended since September 2021, at that time when i checked out of the hotel, i thought i would give them 1 star, or even 0 star if having, but i was convinced myself of being calm to go back later for unbiased reviews, and until today it's a pity to say that I can't still give them more than 2 stars after everything we had experienced in Toscana Hotel La Casetta. At the beginning I discussed so clearly with the booking staff that my husband and I wanted to book their room for 2 weeks for our anniversary vacation. They offered me a cheaper room under 50 square meters but I refused. I chose the ” nicer and larger ”, accepted to pay more with hope we would have a great trip. I sent some pictures of the room and they 100% confirmed that we would be accommodated in that kind of room. But finally, in reality we wouldn't. The very first night when we checked in, I was so disappointed that I didn't even want to unpack my stuffs because the room was different from what we saw in the photos. They claimed this room type was for 4 people but really for 2 of us it was not enough, 1 wardrobe was so old and small, my husband had to put his clothes on the extra bed. There was only 1 sink which was so small and dirty while in the picture it should be 2 separate sinks. Toilet, shower very old and extremely dirty. The mezzanine of the room was lack of sofa, completely not the same which what we wanted to book and pay for. We arrived at the hotel when their restaurant was closed, there was no microwave in the room and the surroundings were quiet. We were forced to eat cold food that we brought with and that night I had a stomach ache because of that. The next day I had to call the manager asking him to take us to the correct room that we booked, they cooperated, and it turned out to be an even worse room with a very bad air conditioner, noisy like a plow, I think I've read a few comments here from another guests about the noise of the AC also. They even knew that and arranged a fan just in case, but sorry we didnt spend money to use the fan, right? After discussing again, my husband said we couldnt get the money back anyway, then try to stay and make the room better. We decided to ” help them to help us ”, clean and rearrange the room with the aim of trying to enjoy our vacation together. We went to the supermarket to buy dishes, cutlery, napkins, garbage bags... Honestly I was not satisfied at all but tried to bear it. A few days later, I called their restaurant to order room service. I asked for pad Thai, and extra onion. It was so stupid that the restaurant staff who spoke English pretty well didn't understand what oinion was, she told me ” im sorry Madam i dont know what onion meant ”. I got angry and canceled the order. The last time was at noon when I had an urgent matter to contact the reception, I called the front desk 8 times, called the manager's number 3 times, both by the phone installed in the room and by the mobile phone, calling them contin

|0.94km from city centerThis is one of the best resort stay experiences that we ever had, and we have been to quite a lot of resorts in different countries. In terms of quality, Muthi Maya could be rated above 5-star, if there was any option for such rating. You have everything in the villa, high quality slippers, excellent bath robes, two seperate WC's, a king size bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and separate shower location, proper kitchenete with everything that you need including Coffee-maker, ”Emperor size” bed with extremely high quality linens & pillows, king-size sofa, and not to mention its private swimming pool with full privacy! The resort has 3 restaurants, each offering perfect cuisines by perfect chefs. My review may sound bit overwhelming but as I mentioned in the beginning that it was one of the best resort stay experiences that we ever had out of many resort stays over the course of past years. You can hire bicycles to tour the resort. I had great time by the lake with the bike. To travel from one location to other location within the resort you need proper cars which is provided by resort whenever you need; golf cars wouldn't be enough as it's like a size of a city- no exaggeration! It was expensive but if you can afford, it would be well spent! We stayed in this resort for 3 nights (in January 2018). If we are back in Thailand, we will consider revisiting. f we are in Thailand again, we will consider to go back!

|5.19km from city centerI was here for a few days. It’s quite a lovely place and the facility and the staff are great. Just a few things to be aware of when choosing to book here: The rooms are spacious. Mattress is medium soft/hard. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and well serviced but it’s quite limited after a few days. The pool area is lovely as is the garden area but it needs updating. I’d advise you to check your room for hot water and mold before you settle in. The room safes are not secured to the wall so someone could, technically, take it out of the room and break open. My room, A318, had no hot water at all. I did talk to the desk staff about it and they tried to get it fixed eventually telling me it was fixed but it was always cold. I don’t need or expect hot water in Asia (I live in Thailand) but cold water kinda sucks in a shower. They offered to move me to a different room but I declined. There were spotty areas of mold in my room - be careful of that too. The hotel is a bit tired, especially the grounds and some of the furnishings and fixtures - it could all use a facelift and refresh. I did enjoy my time here and will consider returning but I will definitely be more careful about the room. They have a published water conservation policy posted in the rooms but it’s not followed at all. As per the policy, I hung my towels on the rack so they wouldn’t be washed. I came back and had new towels. When I informed them of the hot water situation they told me the engineer said to run the shower water for 10 minutes to get it hot. Odd? You betcha! So much for conservation and environmental awareness. Nonetheless, it’s good medium priced small hotel worth giving a try.

|7.5km from city centerChose this place based on positive reviews, but was very disappointed. Place looks abandoned and staff were very disorganised and unwelcoming. We seemed to be the only people staying there and yet all staff seemed unprepared for our arrival. Arrived around 7.30pm - restaurant not open/didn't exist and no food outlets anywhere nearby. After a long confusing check in (where the man at the desk seemed more interested in the chat room video playing on his phone than helping us), we were put in a different to room to what we requested. Room was clean but there was a bird nest growing through the bathroom window. Told there would be breakfast available from 7am, we arrived at 7.15 and no breakfast ready, staff seemed genuinely confused as to why we were there. Don't expect to pay for your room via card either, luckily we had cash on us to pay. Overall not an enjoyable stay.

|7.53km from city centerIt is a place worth relaxing in a calm way. Delicious breakfast available, can be refilled if not full yet. The receptionist is very good, speaks because of good service, this time probably because of COVID, so there are few people to stay. When we went, there were a few rooms to stay. But the customer service staff did not neglect it. I like it. The bedroom and towels are spotlessly clean.

|5.6km from city centerThe hotel facilities were acceptable for most aspects. The sound proofing and the shower were deal breakers - we stayed at the room right next to the elevator and we could hear the service staff slamming doors and the next door neighbours talking very clearly. The shower temperature alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold without ever being in the comfortable range on the first night. It got slightly better the second night, then was not a problem at all on the last night. The cleanliness and the breakfast were the saving grace for the experience. They offered a good variety of food at breakfast and there were no problems at all. There were tents set up in the lawn to let guests chill and relax outdoors. The lights made the area very cozy at night. You can see that hotel tries hard to provide good service, but the hardware is unfortunately not as accommodating. The building went for a fake Italian style that was not tasteful. The thin walls and uncooperative shower made the stay uncomfortable.

|9.17km from city centerOverall stay is pleasant even though there was some unhappiness when we arrived.
Counter told us they did not receive my booking. It was a total surprise and shock. They tried calling Trip and told us they couldn't check us in.
Imagine a total of 11 pax sitting at the lobby feeling tired but couldn't rest in their rooms.
Finally they got the green light from trip.
Breakfast was good. It was pre order so we just has to inform them what we want.
The counter staff Rose was very helpful at the breakfast. My friend's room had a big spider on the wall but by the time the staff came it crawled into the aircon vent. Arghh quite scary actually...
Despite all these it was a pleasant stay in Splendid hotel.
The places of interest on our first day were near one other. Our last stop before the hotel was just 5 to 8 mins drive.
However no 7-11 nearby but they have a vending machine for chips and other snacks.
The rooms are spacious. Cleanliness acceptable. No stained bedsheets or dirty towels etc.

|4.79km from city centerBack in its heyday this place must have been the Francophile owner’s Versailles, even today it looks grand despite the crumbling buildings, potholed roads, and overgrown garden. Highly recommend to stay at the new residences wing at the back, which are very new. It’s a short walk to the open air breakfast area. The main resort buildings are in a pitiful state and seem to have squatters in them, seeing from the laundry hung outside. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment complete with kitchen & living room in the Bellevue building, which was really nice & big. Only complaint was the phone in the deserted lobby kept ringing non-stop until I took matters in my own hands and took the receiver off the line. Later someone put the receiver back and it started ringing again, this time I unplugged the line but discreetly left it under the phone so no one can tell.

|3.3km from city centerWhen we arrived at this ”hotel” it did not have a reception. We drove our car around the property and at one point we saw our residence. A staff member approached us and we went through the formalities with her using google translate. We had rented the glass house building. Not a single bed lamp worked and the air conditioning is a device of 2 by 1 by 1 meter. Toilet and shower is very small and the toilet did not flush. The lady fixed the toilet but not the lamps! All information is in Thai up to and including the menu. So it seems more a place for Thai then for foreigners. The swimmingpool is far from our stay neat the tents ansmd is 2 by 3cmeters. No chairs, nothing! They suggested to take the car!!! We ordered from the menu and it was delicious! After we returned at the beginning of the evening , our room was not cleaned. The employee with Google translate said that she is coming, but that does not happen. So the dirty dishes and cups we placed outside. After request we've got clean cups and glasses. After 1 minute she was gone. The next morning we left and we were realy astonished. It's not a hotel, it has no service and we had zero information

|6.34km from city centerAmazing place. Service is great by the main receptionist who is there 24/7 - she helped me out a lot. Making my stay more comfortable than it should have been. Beds are springy but too hard for me, luckily she gave me a softer mattress on top to help me out. I wish I accepted the extra blanket on the 1st day... it got really cold that night even with the aircon off. But oddly the next 2 nights there were durable. The last night was even hot. Oddly.
The cleanliness here ain't the best... especially on the mat thing... and considering that insects come in frequently... especially small ants that bit me on the bed...I think maybe the glamping tent at the top might be more comfortable? I'm unsure since I only booked the superior plus.
Food is really good even though very simple. Great variety too. Really enjoyed my stay here overall. But I had to deal with a lot of the bugs I got from a previous hotel... so that was really tough for me. Laundry service is not available here. Only further down the road. Also, not too foreigner friendly as only one person speaks basic English here.
Boiler, fridge, hairdryer and some shampoo/soap, hair net & cotton buds are provided. As well as 2 bottle of water a day. Quite great really. The water. Only con is that there wasn't a chair to really eat on the table...

|5.08km from city centerThis hotel is PERFECT!!! They are located close to most of the coffee and eatery places in khaoyai. The staff - a batch of very friendly very helpful and lovely people. Always smiling, not idling, always on standby to meet your needs. The room - huge room, separate living and bedroom space. Lots of sitting space, table top space, luggage storage space. Love that the toilet and shower area are separate. Lots of natural sunlight as well, nice view from the room. The best spot - the swimming pool. It is suspended in midair and you get a lovely view from the bottom of the pool. Not for the faint hearted. They also have complimentary hi-tea. Lovely tray of sandwich, cakes, fruits and drinks. An indulgence by itself. In-room bar is complimentary as well, 2 cans of soft drink, 2 cans of beer, some packet juice, peanuts, chips…. Breakfast is ala carte with very good choices. No efforts had been spared to make you start your day right. Will definitely come back here again if I do visit khaoyai again. I left something at the hotel and the staff took extra effort to send them to me. Much appreciated.

|7.3km from city centerMy husband and I booked here for 3 nights and used it as a base to go off and explore KYNP staying in the jungle for 1 night. The cabins are really comfy and clean, they had everything we needed. They are not fancy or over the top and this suited us well. The bed was comfy and both AC and a fan was available. The owner is very sweet and helpful, she brought my husband bananas from her garden every morning and gave him some to take on our journey when we left. Breakfast was included and was great, fried rice was really tasty. Overall we had a great stay, the location is good, has some restaurants and pharmacy very close by within walking distance. If your planning to visit the national park I would recommend booking tour guide with transport or hiring a car. We used KhaoYaiandbeyond which we would recommend!!

|5.88km from city centerWe booked online using Govt promo and we got very good deal and main we choose this hotel as its not too far away from eatery and attractions. Reservations and front have been helpful. We got food coupons worth of 800 bht to be used in the hotel at the time of check in which can only be used at restaurants and for food and non alcoholic drinks only. Hotel only has 1 restaurant with very limited choices. Nothing much and breakfast spread is very limited and its nearly same all the days. So food really need improvement in this property besides that every thing was good. Housekeeping were very sweet and did all the set up and arranged complimentary cake for his birthday and also followed our time changing. Room service were quick. I think spa was closed due to covid precautions. Our stay was pleasant one. Pet friendly hotel and many had brought their dogs with them. Deluxe rooms ( we stayed in this room type ) are spacious and they have interconnected rooms for families with children. Rooms and amenities are well maintained. Modern hotel !!! They have rock climbing, rabbit n alpacas for children to enjoy with additional fee. Recommended this property if you are not serious or fussy with food.

|6.82km from city centerI stayed with my wife and two children (16 & 18). The accommodation available was akin to a wooden garden shed with a bolt on shower and toilet. The accommodation was old and did not look like the video presentation of the room that we were offered when we asked to see the room. The beds however were comfortable and not rock hard like so many resorts offer. The grounds are spacious - however could benefit from a landscape designer. Breakfast was served in a large room and everything was cold but it was OK.
