|8.64km from city centerThis hotels location is perfect. The views from the restaurant over the shoreline are amazing. Also had a good ocean view from the bungalow I stayed in. The service was good and the staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have about things to do or places to go on the island. They also have scooter rental at the hotel which is great. I'd recommend renting one from them because there's a bit of an uphill walk to the hotel from the main street close to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

There are several diving sites nearby, and places to rent equipment from. It rains a bit in the winters, so be prepared for that (I had checked that on climacell app). I originally booked 10 days but ended up staying two full weeks, because I loved it so much. There is a magical, ultimatively relaxing atmosphere. I loved everything about Wonderland – the food, the yoga and meditation classes, the workshops, the instructors, the staff, the people, the infrastructure,... It's calm but vibrating at the same time. They have multiple different yoga and meditation classes each day and there is always an extra activity in the evening. The pool area is gorgeous, with lots of daybeds and greenery. I also highly appreciated the steam room and the plunch pool and enjoyed multiple oil massages, which I loved each time. The energy in Wonderland is unique and very special. It really feels like in a different world and it is so peaceful. The pay attention to every single detail which can be seen in the infrastructure, the food, the daily programs and activities,... On a few days each week they also offer trips such as waterfall hikes and beach sunsets. I miss Wonderland very much and still think about it a lot – about all the amazing people I met, the yoga and meditation classes I joined, the food, the atmosphere, the beauty of the entire place etc. I really hope I can go back there some day. 100% recommend!

|6.55km from city centerThis place has maybe had a facelift recently as the new block of accommodation is really lovely and great value. We stayed in the fan only room which were gone for us and a bargain at 700 Bt per night. The A/C rooms in the next block were more luxurious and had a fridge and TV and were also good value for the area. The pool is great - one of the biggest and best on the beach. There's no restaurant but this really didn't bother us as there's so many places to choose from ( our favourites being the 2C bar up the steep hill with views over the bay and the food court in the village which serves great value, super fresh food with decent portions all served with a smile). Many reviews complaining about the unfriendly staff and issues with extra charges - maybe this was a thing of the past because we had no issues at all. The rooms were cleaned every day and the place was kept really nicely. Highly recommended.

Bungalows are immersed in a forest of all kinds of flowers and plants that exist in Thailand, the path that leads to the beach and the characteristic restaurant on the sea is a wonder. The ”secret beach” beach is white and crystalline sea.All clean is not even a leaf on the ground, but: The water for shower comes out with the contagout and wash your hair for a woman is a huge business There is no boiler in the room. The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. on menu order, the choice is almost top and low and is served after a long and nervous wait! Wi-Fi worked for 3 days afterwards We say for what you get paid is nn at the height, ok pay the place, the sea and the beautiful beach but a minimum service would be pleased, there are so many bungalows even on the beach less expensive on the island I would not really advise it but instead recommend the Koh restaurant Raaham I'm talking about before!

It´s a beautiful Hotel complex with a private Flair located at the foot of a hill with tropical forest around. Located close to Had Rin and approximately 15 minutes to Thong Sala with Car or Motorbike. They have 9 Rooms at the main area and a Villa close to the top of the Hill. The Rooms are very clean, equipped with Flat Screen TV, Fridge, King Size Bed,Air Condition, Sofa and ambient Light. All Rooms have Balcony with a great Sea View. The Bathrooms are big and clean without bad smell. There is a great and clean Pool area with Bar. A perfect Place to watch the sunset and have some Beer or spend a lazy Day at the Pool. The Owners Stephan & Joy are very very friendly and honest People. In any Case of Issues or Problems they helping and give support. Feels like Family. Mr. So and Family responsible for Housekeeping. They doing a great Job and keep the Area and the Rooms perfectly clean and nice. I highly recommend this Hotel.

|3.71km from city centerThe structure is beautiful and the landscape, especially at sunset, is wonderful, the bed was very comfortable and the evening quiet was dreamlike! How I miss him....
However, two notes must be made:
Just 1 towel per person is really little. I have long hair and when I got out of the shower I didn't have another towel to tie it up. Unfortunately I forgot my bathrobe at home so I had to use the one at the pool. I asked for a second one but the following day it wasn't given back to me and having been told that they only give 1, I didn't ask again but it was really inconvenient. Also they will only replace 1 towel per guest and not the other. Having a wet towel the next day is not good, it has never happened to me.
The pool was in a terrible state when we arrived. The water was green, dirty and disgusting. We waited to see if anyone would clean but the following day still nothing. We reported this to reception, they gave a semi-clean but it still wasn't in order. On the third day we finally managed to use it but out of 4 days, 2 we only looked at it and it's not good. There is the sea but given the presence of lethal cube jellyfish in the rainy season, I don't risk my life and I prefer the swimming pool since the only protection nets against jellyfish are in Haad Rin.
There is no wine shop as in the photo but given the island we understood why.
If we had had the chance to speak to the owner we would have said everything in person but maybe that will be for another time because it is a fabulous place and we will definitely be back!
Breakfast was not bad but little choice for vegans.

The palita Lodge is situated at the quieter end of the beach and although we have not seen one of the rooms the staff, food, setting and gardens suggest a stay here would be very enjoyable.

Each individual 'bungalow' is no more than 100m from the beach and they are all angled to give privacy from the rest of the hotel guests. Beach is stunning with good levels of privacy, and the sea is lovely. If you don't fancy swimming in the sea then there is also a swimming pool right on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the location was excellent, with the centre of town being only a 10-minute stroll away. If you are interested in hiring mopeds then the staff at the hotel have a contact that we used (cheap prices, ฿150 a day). Would definitely return!

La struttura è pulita la pulizia fatta da loro avviene ogni tre giorni trovi tutte le mattine due bottiglie di acqua sul tavolino fuori la corrente viene interrotta un ora alla sera più o meno alle 18 e l’aria condizionata c’è ma è un raggio di sole in compenso c’è molta tranquillità fino a quando non arrivano i villeggianti da altre zone che vengono a fare il bagno su questa spiaggia. Nei ristoranti vicini si mangia bene ed a prezzi contenuti i camerieri sono gentili ma fatevi ripetere sempre le ordinazioni due volte alla fine della vacanza possiamo comunque dire di essere soddisfatti e partiamo con un po’ di nostalgia e rimpianto sapendo che il mare è molto bello pieno di sabbia e azzurrissimo

|3.07km from city centerPositives first. Accommodation is quite good - convenient location, basic but comfortable room. 2 bottles of water a day and fresh towels. Not so good - staff don’t always clean the room (and refresh the towels and daily water), even when you leave the sign on the door requesting them to clean it. My stay was utterly soured, though, by a bad experience on the last night/check out. During the night, the air conditioner, which is hung very high in the wall (almost at the ceiling, strangely), started leaking badly. Water damaged some of my belongings, including electronic cables, and soaked my clothes, which I had to have washed elsewhere to remove the damp smell. I didn’t complain, though, as these things happen and, until this point, I was really happy with everything, so it wasn’t worth causing an issue over. However, when I was walking to the bathroom holding my room key, which has two plastic tags on it, I slipped in a puddle of water from the air conditioner. I smashed my back on the floor and, luckily, broke my fall with my hand which was holding the key. Part of the plastic broke but the key was still in perfect working order and the plastic bits were only particularly chipped. I went downstairs to mention this and I was told it was fine. When checking out an hour or so later, the staff attempted to withhold 650B of my 1,000 deposit to penalise me for the small bit of damage to a piece of plastic. I was honestly gobsmacked! I mentioned that I had (a) fallen purely due to a huge puddle of water caused by their malfunctioning air conditioner, (b) damaged my back in the process, (c) had some of my belongings soiled with dirty air conditioner water and (d) broken a bit of the plastic off the key fob while falling due to a fault in the room. I had to stand my ground over being fined for an accident that was, to all intents, caused by faulty equipment. THEIR faulty equipment. Eventually, they took 300B from me. I didn’t have time to argue as I had a ferry to catch. But I made it clear that I was absolutely furious to be charged for a piece of plastic that would cost 50B maximum to replace. Long story short: an APPALLING experience but the place itself is fine, if slightly overpriced.

|3.08km from city centerMy stay at Secret Garden is regrettably coming to an end ' Secret Garden ' consists of a most beautiful tropical garden. It is a big surprise when you first enter as you do not expect such a haven of peace and tranquility within walking distance of Thong Sala. I have been here four times and shall miss it when I get back home to England. My bungalow (of which I believe there are 15), is air conditioned, has a beautiful terrace, a large bedroom and wet room, and a well equipped large kitchen. What to me is very important is cleanliness, and my bungalow is exceptionally clean. The swimming pool, within a beautiful setting, is large and well maintained, and it is one of the reasons why I so enjoy my stay. I swim every morning. Charlie the owner/manager, who is very innovative, has made attractive changes to the reception/sitting area and generally around the grounds. There is a new addition, a restaurant. ' NIT'S ' is a Thai restaurant, and although the menu is small, the food Nit serves is simply delicious. The staff at Secret Garden are still the same as before Covid and are warm and friendly. This kind of consistency shows how much Charlie cares for his staff who in turn give his guests excellent service. Charlie himself is very approachable and welcoming, and will help with anything he can. I find the prices remarkable for what you get. I cannot fault Secret Garden in any way and hope to be able to return again in the not too distant future.

|7.71km from city centerWe stayed beginning of August in a Garden room with terrace. Apart from the Full Moon Party days, it is a very friendly and relaxed hotel with a touch of simple class. Chilled out beach setting with sunbeds, chairs and beanbags. Not too far from Haad Rin but also far enough... Rooms are a good size, clean, bright, cool and with a good selection of bathroom items, fresh water and a stocked minibar (not too expensive). The restaurant is good with a lot of choice and the best breakfast we've had in Thailand so far. We had a BBQ night and a film night while we were there - nice bonuses.

They have no windows, the bed was super hard and the bathroom just generally looked quite unclean. We went in June so knew it wouldn’t be packed but there wasn’t a single other person at the hostel. Our friends stayed at the beach bodega and said it was much better so I’d say do that. The staff were great though and refunded us when we explained the rooms weren’t exactly like the photos or description. Like most places after covid it could do with a serious re vamp.

|9.3km from city centerWe were lucky enough to have a beautiful beachfront suite (A02) facing out onto the ocean, palms, and a beach swing! The room is one of the best we've ever stayed in. A huge suite with a big wooden dividing door to separate the lounge and bedroom area. You could have a family of 4 in here (but we'll come onto that!). Every tiny detail around this resort is stylish and cool. We absolutely loved every aspect of our room/suite. All the staff were lovely, smiley and helpful (confused by some reviews on here to the contrary). My GF's Mai Tai was one of the best she's ever had. We've both travelled the world extensively both with work/holidays and we both agree that it's one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in as it perfectly suits are needs and the attention paid to detail/design was wonderful. Without question we would return here if it were an adult only resort. However, we have to admit that there are a few too many toddlers running around/screaming in the pool for our liking! We absolutely know this isn't the hotels fault. We travelled in August, so I guess it's the school holidays. We can also see that the room facilities work brilliantly for families too. If it were adult only, we'd be back next year! There's a free shuttle to the town every hour, which is brilliant AND they'll come and pick you up if you WhatsApp them for a crazy small fee. Congratulations to all for creating a memorable few days for us.

We are on our honeymoon and they had decorated the entire room with beautiful messages and flowers. It was so lovely and made us feel very welcome and special. It was also my birthday, they brought me beautiful carved fruit cake and sang happy birthday. We felt so overwhelmed by the hospitality it made our stay in Thailand so memorable! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for anyone, family or a solo traveller, you will be looked after

Service: The owner sister is very nice and kind. Offered to upgraded room but charged a little extra. Help and recommend. Beaming. Breakfast was delicious even not many options.
Cleanliness: There are small black ants walking in a row and the bathroom can be cleaned more. But it can be used normally.
Ps The swimming pool is very beautiful, very worthwhile.

I saw various full moon clothes, but if I didn't stick to the design, this was the cheapest in 100B. Other stores were roughly 180B～ close to hardlin or popular design, up to 250B. Room: Clean and there was a bathtub. There was also a desk. Some people say that hot water does not come out, but my room was no problem with hot water and air conditioning. However, I complained because I had a strange sound from the toilet, and it seemed that it would not be flown. If you seem to care too much, I was told to change it, but in fact, it seemed to be solved if it flowed, so I did not change it. Wi-Fi was no problem Breakfast: I'm coming. I ate in the dining room with English type. It seemed to be able to choose Pattaya. I think it was paid. There was no free one. I don't care because it is close to the convenience store. Service Tourism: When you hear a lot, you will take a consultation. The motorcycle lends you two rideables at 1 day 250B (unified price in the island), and if you have it, you can move the island fun. There was an outdoor pool and I enjoyed it. It was quite deep (1.5M?) so I thought that the child should go to the shallow one. I think it is convenient to go to parties such as full moon because there is a place to pick up Sonteu immediately. It is a very recommended inn.

The cabin I stayed in was a bit jaded and could have done with a good, deep cleaning, but the bed was comfortable and the shower and air-conditioner worked well. The garden is beautiful, and I enjoyed sitting on my balcony listening to the birds. I didn’t try the pool, but when the tide is in, it’s lovely to swim in the sea. The location is convenient; it’s an easy 1 km walk into Thong Sala. I would certainly stay here again

The owners are really amazing!! 2 Thai guys who run the hostel, they help you with everything but never push you to do something. The beds are comfortable and you got some walls between the beds for some privacy! Its not a party hostel so if you want some rest its the perfect place to be!! A little chill spot upstairs where you can hang out and they let you play your own music on their boombox if you want! I would defenitely recommend this hostel and will go back for sure next time in Phangang!

|8.05km from city centerHired a truck/taxi from the pier to take us to the hotel but he drove like a complete psycho and then dropped us off at the resort before. Not a huge deal but we didn't notice until he'd gone and had to walk around, dragging our huge luggage around trying to find the correct resort. Would recommend organizing the hotel shuttle if possible. Front desk staff were always friendly to us, as well as the golf cart driver who drove us and our luggage to our unit and showed us around the room and how to use everything. Room was nice, clean and quiet except when the maintenance crew sat on our front deck area chatting at 7:45am one morning :) Pool was big, cool and clean. Only recommendation is more attention being paid to random people from nearby resorts and hostels taking up the lounge chairs around it when they aren't even staying there. Restaurant staff were attentive and friendly and the food was good. The way some of the guests treated the staff was shocking. They couldn't have been more demanding and rude which the poor staff didn't deserve. Best viewpoint restaurant/bar we only found the day before we left unfortunately but it had the most AMAZING views. Was the 420 Bar/360 Viewpoint that is accessed at the end of the road, near the main road. It's a bit far out of any busy area so you're limited to the on-site restaurant or the few that are a short walk away. We liked the Big O the best out of all of them. There is also a family run mart that seemed to have the best prices for things and we used the most. It was the one with the counter top made up of tons of different currencies. He was missing CAD so we gave him a $5 bill and a $1 Loonie. Hopefully he got them added to his collection.

|7.1km from city centerMy husband and I had only booked for 1 night originally but after arriving and being greeted so warmly by Taylor, seeing the beautiful room and swimming in the incredible sea right off the hotel, we extended for 5 days. At the end we still didn’t want to leave. We found this to be the perfect place to relax _ by day we swam, took the kayak to a nearby beach, ate great pizza at the hotel, enjoyed breakfasts cooked to order at the hotel, had beers at sunset and walked to the town in 5 minutes for amazing and inexpensive massages. Regarding restaurants in town, we really enjoyed the French Thai place (Luca?) and the place where there is a sole woman chef. The hotel is owned by an interior decorator and the rooms are decorated with great attention to detail. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is small and quiet -only the sounds of the ocean at night. It’s wonderful to hear the rain on the roof as well. We enjoyed our days and nights so much we didn’t even rent a scooter to explore the east side of the island. We coupled our stay here with a hotel near the full moon party beach and I feel the juxtaposition of the 2 experiences was perfect. We are already discussing when we can return to Sand in My Shoes. It’s a must_ whether you are solo, a couple or a family with 3 kids. Kudos to Taylor and the owner- well done! Also, we are beach snobs and this was hands down one of the most spectacular beaches we have ever been to _ the sand, the water, the waves. Perfection.

Sun lounges and a nice seating area outside the room. It was a fantastic stay. The staff are absolutely lovely and so helpful, they kindly picked us up and dropped us back at the ferry pier. We also rented a motorbike through them which was easy and worked out cheaper than anywhere else. This has by far been my favourite place I’ve stayed in Thailand. Right on the beach as well! The location was perfect for us: Being in a super nice hotel surrounded by the jungle but in just a few minutes scooter ride (10-15 minutes) at hot spots, like Secret Beach, Zen Beach, Thongsala etc.
The team was really nice and friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Restaurant was good and reasonably priced.

Set in tropical gardens the views especially from the higher seaview studios are amazing. Very family oriented hotel but still a great choice to stay in as a couple. The beach is only a few minutes walk away and is gorgeous. There are quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance and a 7/11. However the thing that makes this hotel stand out the most are the wonderful staff. They are all absolutely amazing and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Big shout out to Tom who is a fantastic and a real star & nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much for helping to make our stay so great.

|7.08km from city centerTo begin whit I have to point out what’s good whit Amara. The location is excellent and the breakfast is very good, so is the food in the restaurant as well. Now when we booked there was only one room available which was “The ocean View room”, and it was really expensive. We paid 2700€ for 16 days. To begin whit, it’s limited ocean view, a big roof blocks most of the view, but that was not the major problem. For us the problem started the first night when we arrived. The room is situated just over the restaurant and on Thursdays, which was the day we arrived, they attended an big Russian party whit 70 drunk Russians and some guy shouting in a microphone, which makes it impossible to sleep. And to make things worse another restaurant, Cocco Locco is next to our bedroom and they have dj’s playing some nights and the other they just play loud music until 02 in the morning. When we booked this room it said nothing on the description that there could be a lot of disturbance from close by restaurant until late at night. I pointed out our problems and asked for a refund and was willing to lose some money in order to move on and find a place where we could sleep better. But the owner would only offer us 600€ back which was an insult. They offered us a voucher for the restaurant for 30€ as an excuse, but that wasn’t any help for lack of sleep. I’m sure the “manager” will wright here that they did everything to help us and offers us to switch room, which isn’t true. I asked if that was possible and they should look in to if any one was interested in switch rooms. So that was no initiative from there side. Overall it was really sad it turned out this was because the staff is really nice, expect “the manager” and I’m sure you will have an better experience if you book a room further back at the resort. If you come here to sleep early, don’t book the “Ocean View” room. Would I go back, no. Would I recommend it to others, sure. Food, location and most of the staff is great.
